I have decided to watch YouTube videos on all the features on this phone because there are just so many (sadly still not used to the stylus pen yet).I got this since I really enjoy Samsung phones and needed a upgrade to my S10 and my goodness what a upgrade the S23 Ultra is. Plus going to Japan in a couple of Months and this phone will be a big help there with all the features (plus dual sim and esim).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To be honest the ability to self organize everythi This is my second s23 ultra I've had sent to me in less then 5 months and just like the first one I bought I've had nothing but issues the screen flickering going to another app on its own while you're trying to do something. Can't even send a message nor make a call without the phone opening 5 other apps all on its own that I have to close out of before I can continue with my message or call to be completely honest other then the camera that Apple beat them to years ago the phone is a complete failure should have stopped with the s21 much much better phone just my opinion though.

My screen protector was NOT an issue on any of my Samsung Galaxy phones except this one!!! Help please, I miss fingerprint login.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawed user experience overshadows nice hardware Not great when you keep wishing for your 4+ year old phone back but thats what this does to me. My Note 20 Ultra was great - and though theres learning curve with any "change" there should be learning about the improvements instead of constantly learning to work around how this isn't as good. When transitioning into my Note 20 the conversion was GREAT. Every piece just seamlessly moved over including quirk settings I preferred.... this phone? None of that. Into day 7 of numerous tweaks and feature shifts as the 87th notification Ive turned off on my Note 20 is now active again here. The "auto-enrolling" me into YouTube music was nice.... I found out via it randomly playing music unannounced - then again starting when I parked - then again starting when I moved where I parked (will fire up EVERY time theres a change in connection so just stopping it wont cut it). Work apps now have a "flaw" I can't get past. Says my OIT is preventing it... they never prevented anything on my Note 20 I was doing (oh, and a great example of that notification fun.... its one that cant be cleared, just alerts, acknowledge it, pops right back up). Now, from a hardware standpoint it seems fine. My Note 20 was 3+ years old so while it looked flawless it was having the usual issues of wiggly charger cable action and poor battery life so this of course is an amazing shift. Rather than 30% by noon I'm into several days it can run. The camera was of interest as well and looks to be the improvement in reality it said on paper. But the actual "using the thing" is just an... annoyance is basically the word - and thats just sad that we get advertised to death of "new" and this is a step back. Features are meant to impress us or improve a process - everything on this phone is an obstacle to either be a chore "fixing" or a hurdle I'm regularly dodging. Screen has always been a fave of Samsungs and appears to be on par there and I will give credit to tweaks in the "quick settings" you get swiping down from top. Of note, having dedicated hot spot icon (not buried in the "Connections"), QR scan, and Work mode are all nice add ins without noticing I lost any of my prior options I liked. Wish I could give a more glowing review - getting a new phone should impress you with cool tech thats happened since your last phone - just can't this time

Then my children, who all have iPhones, forced me to try Apple, so I bought the iPhone 13 Pro Max. One year later, I'm back with Samsung and have the S23 Ultra. It's good to be back! What I'm enjoying (and missed on the iPhone): - abundant useful widgets - screen-icon positions fully customizable - convenient notifications, where and when I need them - more usable screen space - the stylus (what I missed most with the iPhone) and note-taking ability - quick-to-create screen shortcut buttons (so great for quick access to docs I use all the time) There's a lot more, but those are some of the best features for me. This is just a well thought-out device and a pleasure to use (but not to pay for!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay I upgraded from the Note 20 to this model a few months ago. I have to say the pictures are great. To me the upgrades to the other things were not that mind blowing. The most annoying thing so far for me is the vibration mode. The Note 20 would vibrate and I could here it anywhere but this one is terrible. I had to add a vibrate ringtone to hear it and it is still too low to hear. I love the note due to the pen but overall, not that much of improvement (unless you use your phone as a photograper) to buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only OK phone! I traded in my Pixel 7 only because it was overheating while charging wirelessly in my car for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. I don't really see any significant difference that would be worth $900 upgrade. Unlike the Pixel 7 the face recognition is hit or miss, finger print scanner is not very responsive and the keyboard is way too slow. The camera is better, the S pen can be useful but other than that I'm not impressed with this phone. I will not keep it for too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy S23 Ultra Unlocked Black 256gb/8gb I preordered and got mine sent to Best Buy for pickup upon launch day and it had some type of micro scratches smudged all over my front facing selfie camera and when I take selfies it is mostly blurred and has lighting complications and glares from light reflections. i didn't know what could be done about this and i didn't want to go through the process of sending it in for repairs or trade in because i needed it for work so i just said forget it i will deal with it when I can i also had no idea there were options for bigger 12gb RAM or I would've chosen that one because 8gb RAM is not enough for my daily tasks my apps are constantly refreshing in the background and laugging and getting hot. i would like something to be done about this situation my phone has been in a case since first day and is still mint condition. if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good Be prepared for big. I went from a Samsung S21 to this beast, and it almost is too big for me to hold, I have such small hands. It was so easy to swap over, they have improved the Smart Switch feature tremendously. The only thing I had to manually do was my WhatsApp, but I knew that was coming, had to do it last time I switched. It is loaded with features. The one thing I wish somebody would reintroduce is where you can designate different Notification sounds for different people/things on the phone. It is a feature that helps me to know if I need to look at a text immediately or is it something that can wait. I don't know who's shoulders this fall on Samsung or Android, but which ever it is, please do an update and add that feature back in. The pictures so far are brilliantly bright. I do love the screen size for looking at pictures, and the screen clarity is amazing. I've tried to use the stylus to write a text just to experiment, and it's hit or miss picking up on what I am writing, but that's ok it's not like I am going to be writing text messages. I've not used it yet in my notes, so overall, I don't know how much I will use this particular feature. It will pester you if you leave the stylus out for extended periods of time and not use it, which I guess is a good thing, that way maybe you'll be more likely to keep up with it. If you happen to use it a lot in a day, the battery will drain what seems to me to be too fast. However, recharge time does not take that long. So I am on the fence about battery life. But there are a lot of things running in the background, so I am sure that plays a part. Overall I am happy with my choice, I've had it a month, so let's see how I feel about it a year from now.

The only thing that was holding me back from buying this phone earlier was that I was waiting for a couple of Health apps to be approved on this phone. Well they were and I got it loving the phone for my health apps, I'm a type 1 diabetic so my insulin pump and my CGM run through my phone. The camera is way better than the note 20 that I had which had a great camera! This one's even better I can't wait to use it some more and experiment. All in all so far I am extremely happy

I missed all the premium features. Never been an iPhone user. Never will. Samsung is unmatched with fantastic trade in values. Don't have to settle for my carrier's stupid payments and restrictions when all I've gotta do is trade up every year. Very little out of pocket makes my experience top notch and I feel like myself again. The camera is spectacular. I heard or was good from YouTube reviews but God in heaven once I saw for myself what a gigantic upgrade its been. Everything from making my own gifs and other features make this device feel so premium. Can anyone else take pics with an s pen? Looking to get higher storage next time but this will definitely do! Another homerun Sammy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Forever iPhone User Perspective As someone who has only used an iPhone before the Android platform became what we know today, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is a wonderful device and I have had no issues using it over my iPhone. Having said that, I carry both. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max as my UK carrier device, and the S23 Ultra as my US phone with Google Fi. Point blank asking me which device I prefer, I have to say that I’m evenly torn between both! That’s saying something for me, again, who’s only known iPhone and iOS. Concerning the S23 Ultra on its own, it’s snappy, it’s bright, the screen is incredible (1440x3088 resolution), it’s as smooth to use as the iPhone, the camera is incredible in basically every way, and Samsung’s One UI Android OS is great. I highly recommend checking out MKBHD’s review on YouTube for the lowdown. If you are someone who is getting board with iPhone (as I was), then the new Galaxy S23 series is a great jumping off point to get into the Android OS.

I will never again use my carrier to purchase a phone through, I will always buy directly from Samsung. This phone is the best Samsung phone I've ever owned, and I've owned 7 different ones! This is not just a beautiful looking phone, it is incredibly fast and the photos are amazing. Samsung gave me more dollars on my trade than my carrier was going to and the Samsung Care+ is far more affordable and covers much more than the carriers insurance program does and its much cheaper!

Only 1 day using the phone without screen protector because it failed itself. I never dropped the phone or hit something. And the glass broke and I saw couple scratches too. What that heck @samsung. Yall improving in cameras but not in the durability of your materials. Cheap phone after all.

The 200 megapixel camera was just the cherry on top. The only thing holding back this phone is the Ads. For the love of God I already bought your phone you don't need to cram ads down my throat.

I can't say that I'll switch back to apple. I love the galaxy s pen. The s pen is really convenient because not only does it work on just my galaxy s 23 ultra it is also compatible with my Galaxy Tab S 6 Lite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gobs of features and excellent customization I had an S21utra for two years obtained through Samsung pre-order (S10+ earlier) unlocked (no carrier bloatware) that was starting to lose battery (note: first thing I did was to get into battery settings and set charge limiting; I want to keep this for a good while). So far, so good. Using smart switch, I transferred the system over and had to do some setup settings. I also have Secure Folder which came over fine. So far, only app problems are Gloryfit for my watch and Malwarebytes, which seems to think the email app is adware (no problem on the S21utra). Cameras excellent. Recommend case as phone is thin and added grip useful to avoid drops. All sorts are out there, so think of what you MUST have and like for car mounts, for example. Definitely a keeper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best phone ever. I have been with Samsung my whole life and I was very skeptacle at first considering the s22 was absolute trash. So i kept my 21+ until i saw improvements. In comes my desire for the S23 Ultra and im absolutely blown away. Never mind all the negative reviews. Those people remind of Karen like critics. So what theres no SD card. Buy a USB-C SD card reader. Problem solved. So what there isnt any headphone jack. Its 2023 get a bluetooth. People will never understand why manufacturers remove certain features. It so they can add and improve on others. Everything takes power and ram. Everything they removed can be purchased aftermarket. Every area of concern about Samsung for me was aleviated. Awesome camera. Awesome batter power. I can go 2 days on power save mode which is insane. Of course thats with moderate use. I can definately go a whole day and more with or without power save. Awesome display. Awesome speed. The only thing that hinders the phone is the network your on. Verizon is trash with 5g. Tmobile 5g is better. As soon as i pay this phone off i will be going back to Tmobile. Other then that. Flawless. Oh and the S Pen is better then ever. Me personally I love it and ive always been critical of my tech but I take the time to understand why they chose to make things the way they did before i complain and I assure you they made the right moves this go around.

I like oneUI better than stock android and the customization software Samsung offers is top notch. My pictures and video come out great. Things that could be better Samsung please improve the stock weather app animations for the widgets don't always work. Would be great to have a dedicated podcast app

I have always liked the large Samsung flagships but though the feature set was rich, the battery life was lacking. I always would need to hunt for a charger midday. This phone is powerful, snappy and a battery beast. Samsung has finally made the trifecta. Plus with their long support policy, this phone will be my work and play companion for at least 2-3 years.

It's fast and very responsive, the camera does take beautiful pictures and the battery life is great I don't worry about trying to charge it often even with heavy use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect just got even better with Galaxy S23 Ultra I was contemplating switching to an iPhone 14 this year, but after much research and based on my years of usage with my previous Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, I stayed with Note series. The trade-in program from the older to the newer is a big incentive; and the transfer procedure is a big plus. The camera on the S23 Ultra is awesome and keeping the pen because I was so used to using it daily made me stay with Samsung.

It was in an OtterBox case with a screen protector, but the screen still found a way to crack. I've had fragile phones before but I have never had a screen crack with literally no contact until now. Waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S23Ultra vs Galaxy Note 9! Great Tech Gadget Very High end, However, Lack of Micro SD Support is a deal breaker for me. I rather use the old Note 9 for 2 good reasons additional to all the reasons I would use a galaxy phone. #1. It supports Micro SD and #2. The finger print sensor is very effective and fast and efficient. On the newer Galaxy phones, you install a screen protector on your front glass and you must say goodbye to your fingerprint unlock capability as it becomes impractical. It is not as good as a Note 9 Finger sensor even without screen protector. I wish Samsung makes an upgraded version of the Note 9 again. Make it lighter, a bit smaller and make it faster. I would buy it and I am sure everyone will also love it
