Battery life is terrible. I'm 62 and only talk
and text occasionally, and check my email 3 to 4 times a day. Still by the middle of the day, I need to charge. Didn't have this problem with my S10.

Not what I expected
I bought this phone expecting improved battery life, ease of handling the device, and fast processing. This phone is below expectations in all of those criteria. The phone gets very hot and the storage is not even half full yet. Not to mention the design makes the phone prone to slipping off just about any surface, flat or otherwise.
I've bought nothing but Samsung for a decade or so, and this is the worst phone I've had since the Nokia Lumia. I've actually thought about trading it in.

I traded my s10 to upgrade to a S22, that was the worst trade ever. From the time I had it, which only been a year. I have had Five phones, each one over heated, continuously drop calls as well as poor connection. I was told from tech that they would switch to an S23, it did not happen. The last phone that I received, still a S22 came in, and never connected to the network. Sad for me I had to purchase a trac phone. I DO NOT recommend Samsung S22.

It's decent enough
I exchanged my Galaxy S8 Plus and bought a Galaxy S22 hoping it would help with my AT&T service issues. I now usually get 2-3 bars at my house and can send and receive my messages now and when I try to make a call it doesn't say "service unavailable" anymore. I also don't have to power my phone off the minimum 7 times per day anymore. I give 3 stars because there's no headphone jack for my old buds that came with the Plus and my old speaker. Also, the battery doesn't really last any longer. It's about the same really. I do like that the screen brightens and dims automatically to my surroundings. I also like that for Google maps directions, I can actually turn my screen off and it still works. Also, I love the quick share option. And of course 5G is faster.

Glitches in phone
I bought this phone a month ago. It is very glitchy. Meaning my "media app keeps shutting down" is the error message I keep getting when using camera or screen shot. I have clear all my opened pages for anything to work... the camera seems to have so many features the software can't work smoothly...

Reminds me of the SG S9
I traded in my Galaxy s9 for the s22 as an upgrade. I was really hoping that I'd love it as much as my s9 because the s9 was the best phone I have ever owned from Samsung. The s22 has a better camera quality and overall appearance. Its also fast and has no lags. I create videos and social media content. Great focus and vibrant colors. I have no complaints other than missing my s9 which I owned for almost 5 years. I hope the s22 stays with me that long as well. It does overheat if used constantly (my s9 did not do this). Other than that, I really like this phone and think I can love it as time progresses.

Very disappointment
I purchase this phone for my wife and the battery las only 3 days without used.
My phone that is a replacement two times is getting hat and I drawing the battery even a have connect to my car. Very disappointed that I going to call the company that I brought the phone to see if they have any solution to this problem.

This phone is a not the best one I have had new by far. The battery life does not last all day and I am not one to watch movies on it. Example I have been on my phone for 35 min sending messages and I'm down 88%. I I have to charge it at least once a day. I use it for work so it's very frustrating it won't hold a charge.
It's constantly freezing up on my apps so I need to restart it a few times a week. My txt messages is doubles some words so I'm am always going back to delete the extra word.
I'm just super disappointed. I have always had Samsung and this phone is my least favorite by far. But I'm in a contact so I can't get rid of it.
I will say the camera takes great pictures! Best camera I have had on a phone.
This phone would be fine if you don't use many apps and are not on it alot.
I know Samsung can do better!!

Terrible Blue Tooth
I bought this 3 days ago, traded in a Galaxy S10E. The S22 is a faster phone but I am not very happy with the blue tooth connections. Now I can't listen to my Spotify or SiriusXM on my radio in my boat while fishing. Very disappointing. Need to fix this problem.

I love everything about this phone but the battery is trash. They made a heavy use phone but you're going to be constantly worried about where you'll get your next change. Melts in your pocket faster than a stick of butter.
Also, why make a stylus phone but then curve the screens so the pen slides off the end of the screen?
Like many aspects of this phone but wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Real life: not so much.
I migrated from an S9 and regret it. There many things that I appreciate about the S22: battery life, speed.
Other things drive me crazy. Starting with some inbound calls don't audibly ring. Others do. There seems to be no rime or reason. I get IMs saying "just called you: RNA":, phone is in front of me vol 3/4. No ring.

I bought this almost 6-7 months now and honestly I've had so many issues with it. Like no one hearing me when I answer the phone. And it's charging capabilities are crappy unless it's plugged into a wall outlet and it over heats when I have more then one big app open. it constantly crashes out of the apps I'm using and runs slow as a turtle ?? lol don't recommend I would say that the plus or ultra edition. I preferred my s9 over this one.

Screens cracked
Phones ok but my screen cracked within a month. Dont recall dropping it . My wife purchased a S22 a year ago, her screen cracked within the first month in the same area. Looking at reviews, a lot of screens crack wjth this phone. Sounds like a known issue but no assistance offered. Get it repaired for a lot of cash. Not happy...

Battery drains fast
For the most part I like it, but the battery dies way faster than my 2 year old phone I was using. I am on it a lot throughout the day, because I'm bed-ridden quite often, but for a new phone, I expect a better battery.

I wished I would have kept my S20
Still trying to get used to new phone auto rotate goes off by itself sometimes I have to power off phone and power back on again to get it to work. Sometimes I tap on a text message and it disappears. The voice recognition is a bit better than my S20. The S22 will not let me scroll back to look at my text message before I send it if it's anything over 2 sentences. I don't know I'm not happy for spending a fair amount of extra money to get what I thought was a better phone

Don't bother! I've been a samsung user for years and have never had such a terrible product! I traded a perfectly working s21 plus for this crap! The speakers sound like they've blown up in cold weather, can't hear anything. I figured it out hours after I got the phone and I wanted to return it which was such a problem for customer service and it took forever. They finally sent me a new phone but by the time I actually got it it was not cold enough outside and I thought I was working fine. Guess what?! It'swinter again and IT HAS THE SAME EXACT ISSUE! which makes me think they probably just sent the same phone.... also the camera sucks. I swear my s21plus was so much better than this. I wish I never bought this one.

Just Right
A few weeks now and all is good. Went from s21 Ultra, as im sick of easy to break curved edge designs and the fact that the screen remains unprotected, even with case. The 22 plus is very fast, and battery life on par with the 21 ultra. Features, speakers, camera, phone connection and use all very good. Im very pleased with this phone so far and will likely hold onto for as long as possible.

I wanted to stay away from Apple as much as much as I could. When I spent a little over $1000 on the galaxy s22 I thought it was a good investment. I used to have the moto z4, which had a battery life of 2 days. Everyday that I have owned this Galaxy S22, it has died on me midday. I am very disappointed with this phone.

Battery life is terrible!!! Before you do anything at all on this phone the battery is just bad. Apps do not make a difference and settings aren't going to help it so don't bother responding with the same link telling me how to manage them. Phone does crash occasionally and I think it's just a bad product over all. Definitely wouldn't recommend

I started using my Galaxy S22 about 4 days ago. I went from a Galaxy S9 without any glitches whatsoever.
Things i miss from my S9 that are not on my S22:
There is no indicator light to show I am charging or have a notification.
Samsung Health no longer has the ability to check oxygen saturation or heart rate. This was a biggie for me.
I have to use the side button to wake up my screen now. I used to be able to double tap my screen to wake it up. The side button is covered by my phone holder in my car.
Overall I'm happy with it, but disappointed in the lackluster experience and upgrades.

First new phone out of box as defective
Bought phone 5 weeks ago and wish i had not the first one out of box they had issues setting up and i questioned if it should be this difficult and such a long process and he said sometimes.
iT WAS DEFECTIVE so after arguing with them and 4 differnt phone calls to ATT they gave me a new one well this one sometimes it will charge all the way and sometimes it will not it depends on its mood i guess, but thinking no way to have 2 bad phones i bought new charger and it makes no difference the S21 i traided in was because after a samsung update it did not always work but it was out of its warranty so they said too bad.

I bought the S22 near the beginning of November, I upgraded from the S7. My S7 lasted me nearly 6 years and it was a really good phone. So far I'm happy with the S22, though I haven't had as much time to do much with it. Night pictures are really good, time will tell though.

Terrible phone! Battery life is horrible. The biggest issue with the phone is that it constantly disconnects from my earbuds and it sounds like a record skipping when I play music. The other main issue that I have is that even being 25 feet away from my home router, the phone randomly switches back and forth between wifi and mobile data without warning. Did not know this was happening until I got a warning that my data was used up within the first few days of the billing cycle. First Samsung phone, will DEFINITLY be the last.

Decent phone, terrible battery
I recently purchased this phone, as my Moto Edge's screen shattered. I was expecting an experience at least on par. However, my S22 seems to have a half of the battery life, even on "power save." I personally was used to my old system, so I'm pre-biased against this one. However, the phone is so small in my hands that it feels like a toy. I have naturally large hands, but this is still ridiculous compared to some iPhones and my last Motorola. I don't think it's a terrible phone, but the battery life is still an issue to me if it dies before the school day ends.

Some unwelcome changes to OS
I've had my S22 for a couple of weeks now. The operating system is different from my former Galaxy S8. A couple of things changed that I don't like. If I turn on 'Do not disturb,' it greys out all the colors when it is activated. I don't like that and I find no way to change it; that did not happen with my S8. I just tried adding a new phone contact from a phone call I had. I tried many times to add it to my contacts by selecting the number and choosing to add it. None of them worked. I had to go to Contacts, tap the Add icon and then manually type in the number and the name. It should be much easier to add a contact when you have a phone number in the Recent calls. It was with the OS on my former S8.

I bought this phone last month and so far it's been great! The cameras as well as the features on the cameras are superb. The only complaint I might have is that the battery life is a bit short but overall the phone is fast, crisp and I love the Samsung Global Goals.

I bought these S22s about a month ago and we used our music files for ring tones for different friends or types of calls. With s22 music files is not supported by media player. Does not except sd card for backup.

The s10 functioned better at the beginning of its life. This doesn't feel like an upgrade, more like a sidestep. The battery gets way hotter than the s10. The screen isn't as crisp. The battery doesn't last as long as the s10 did when new. The edges of the s22 frustrate my with one handed operation.

Coming from an S9 to S22 things I notice:
S22 Fingerprint fails all day - S9 Fingerprint rarely failed
S22 Power Button location it locks the screen with car phone mounts
S22 Volumes keys moved next to the power button once again making it confusing
S22 Sounds quality not so good
S22 Camera Zoom is amazing fast response ok pictures for having 3 cameras compared to my S9 better lighting on my S9 images
S22 Game changer in speed way quicker for multitasking responsiveness that is why it has a 3 start review otherwise S9 has a better button placement, but the S22 looks prettier.
Do I recommend the upgrade absolutely mostly duo to performance not the build.

I really wanted to like this phone but it just would not work most of the time. I constantly had to reset it and anytime I used Outlook it would totally freeze. Then it started getting very hot. So I finally took it back to T-Mobile and they did a warranty exchange. After 2 days I started having the same issues so now I am back to my iPhone 11. Really disappointed that I have to pay 14 more months for a phone I can’t use.

Worse battery life than my 5 year old S9.
I've had the phone about 3 weeks. Unfortunately I'm passed the return period. I'm coming from a Galaxy S9 and the battery life on my new S22 is worse that my 5 year old phone. I'm terribly disappointed. I've always had Samsung products...this will be my last. Believe the reviews, the battery life is truly terrible.

I really wish I had read some of these reviews before I bought this garbage phone. I recently switched from the S9, which I thought was a great phone. I decided to replace it after many years of faithful service and replace it with the S22+. Boy, I wish I hadn't. This phone is ridiculously difficult to do the most basic things like restart, take screenshots...etc. Instead of just pushing one button, like the S9, now you have to push two or three buttons in unison to accomplish anything. This is honestly the worst samsung I have ever owned. I'd like to return it, but looks like I am stuck with it for the next few years. Thanks Samsung for taking a religious Samsung owner and pointing me towards my next I-phone purchase.

Samsung S22 is an awesome phone!
I'm very happy so far with my Samsung Galaxy S22. The performance is great and the display is one of the best I've ever seen on any phone. I don't know how they get such beautiful color saturation on the screen. I also love the camera with the 50mpx sensor. It takes great photos.

Horrible battery life
The battery on this the S22 is horrible. And that's compared to my old S20 FE. Just now it's been off the charger for 30min and the only this it has done is the alarm went off and it's already down to 96%

Overall, I really love this phone. The camera quality is amazing and Selfie camera is sharp!
ONLY issue would be the vibration motor that they replaced from the S10+
I miss calls/messages almost all the time now. If they were to fix this issue with newer models, the phone would be perfect in my opinion.

It's OK. But I'm unimpressed with the removal of some features. Like the indicator light. Why is that gone? Why does a charger for it cost $40? Why did they force the switch to Samsung wallet from Google? Why doesn't the Google password service still work, instead of a new product?
I wouldn't buy this one again. And I've always had a Samsung phone.

I'm a long time Samsung phone guy. I got rid of my s20 because it was dying very fast and starting to lag. Got the s22 and it is by far the worst phone I've ever had from Samsung. It doesn't hold battery charge at all. It gets very hot very easily. Doesn't charge fast at all and if you use it while it is charging it will not charge at all. I'm not a iPhone person what so ever but I'm really debating changing.

Won't sync messages
Bought 3 months ago. Now messages won't show unless I restart phone. Also calls drop unexpectedly. Turned off wifi, no change. On plus side battery lasts a long time contrary to others I've read. P.S. camera is good, but I use it primarily as a phone. Better than my pixel, but not as good as my old s8. Won't reccomend until message issue is resolved

Superb Camera but BAD Battery, Low Max Volume,
Man, I really do want to love this phone. It has an extremely good camera (imo, better than any other except the s22U and now iphone 14 pro max), great performance, screen, and looks great. I loved my S6 from a few years ago so I thought I'd love this as much. But...
Battery life is biggest complaint. It's bad right out of the box. I'm scared for how bad it will be after a year or two of usage. I can only make it through the day with low use. My work around is to keep it in power saving mode at all times. That helps a ton and battery is fine, but there are moments I can tell it isn't performing as high because it's in that mode.
Second, audio volume doesn't go as high as my old S6 or my wife's iphone XR. And you better believe I've looked and enabled every setting I can find to increase it (including developer options stuff). It's just not as loud. For most people who don't like blasting music, you probably won't care, but this is honestly a huge con for me, especially in my car. I read a thread that they cheeped out on the audio amp or something? That sounds so stupid for a flagship phone if it's true.
Of course, no headphone jack sucks and I am here to complain. Everyone said it's no big deal, you'll just get used to bluetooth/dongle, etc. But nah, it sucks. Especially because battery life is low. I've had a few times I had to choose between charging OR listening to music. And no I don't want to have to ALSO carry around a double dongle. And yes, I DO have wireless headphones, but I don't like using them all that much, plus I have to worry about keeping them charged too.
I just bought this 4 months ago, but I'm already back on the market looking for something better. Maybe the new Sony 5 IV or Asus phone? Tbh I'm even considering iphone 14 max bc of how incredibly well rounded it is, but I really don't want to switch to IOS (plus, still no headphone jack lol).
Hate to give the s22 a 3/5 stars, but that's its reality.

Seriously bad phone with the worst battery life
I went from being underwhelmed with this phone to down right hating it. It's got the worst battery life I've ever had with a new phone. The 5G is spotty at best, it's slow, the 'touch' screen seems finicky. Some of the 'features' Samsung has changed on their phones seems like a big step back.

I bought the Galaxy S22 Ultra six months ago. It takes good picture and it has a lot of features. It hold a charge for about 19 hours if I watch 2 to 3 movies. If I don't watch movies I get about two day out of a charge.

I've had this phone for 4 months and it is a real let down. The "fast charge" is only fast because the battery life is horrible. And know they taken out the standard headphone jack. They say it's so you will use wireless but shouldn't that be up to me, the consumer? I hate wireless and I don't feel like having to buy another product to listen to music should be considered a feature, it's just a downgrade. The only "upgrades" on this could be the screen and camera, but with the price point, problems and straight up deleted features its a major let down. very disappointed. Unless you need a good camera don't get this phone.

Frustrating phone
I recently had to update my phone which was an S8, and I had The Choice of buying a Samsung S22 Or a Google phone. I went with Samsung because it is what I was familiar with. I have to say I absolutely do not recommend. The talk to text is so so much worse than on my old device, constantly spelling words wrong, using the wrong tense and capitalizing words for no reason at all. I'm using talk to text right now. Also I find it irritating that it's a 2 step boot up process from powered off, I want to be able to just turn on my phone And have it be on and ready to use and not have to also unlock my screen and wait for all the things to come together. Additionally, I've had this phone for under 6 months and a martygetting notifications about problems with the charger when I plug it in period I drop calls a lot with this phone, Wi-Fi is almost always shotty and I just think it totally sucks compared to previous models. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed.

Had new 22 about a month now. Screen is larger than my old phone so that's great. BIG DOWN SIDE is the battery drains quick. I am an Uber driver and even when I keep it plugged in while driving, it just drains. I'm lucky if I get 4 hours in before it dies. Really regretting making the change. Very disappointing Samsung, I expected better.

All in all OK. I bought it for the 5G, and that’s been nifty, but I am puzzled and disappointed in the battery life. There is a Samsung galaxy 812 at work that I will charge to 100% and when I come in the next day it’s still at 100%. (Obviously it doesn’t get used much.) my galaxy S 22 on the other hand is usually discharged around 50% in the same time period. I can’t rightly figure that out, but it doesn’t seem quite right.
Hey, it’s The phone. The gadget does the gadget things and I’ll use it as long as it’ll work. These things are too stupid expensive to replace any sooner than you absolutely are forced to!

Getting use to the new programs.
My phone before the S22 was the S8, I was very content with this model. The screen eventually started to fade away and change color. So, it was time for an upgrade, after being accustomed to the S8 it took me awhile to understand the upgraded S22, some which I do not care for. This is why I only gave this phone a (4) star rating. Also, one thing I do not care for is with my text messages. Before with the S8, I was able to pick which comment I wanted to delete, now with the S22 when I want to delete some of the messages, it's all or nothing. I do not want to delete the entire messages, so I'm stuck with keeping all of them; what's up with that? Otherwise, the S22 seems to be a good model and I'm content with my purchase.

I bought this after I messed up my Galaxy 7S and boy, do I have buyer's regret.
I have had to call Samsung several times since I received it.
I couldn't even answer the phone as there is no instruction booklet.
My frustration level is off the charts. If you are a senior, like me, and have limited electronic experience, then this is not the phone for you.
Even trying to submit this review is an overwhelming task as there was no way for me to preview this review and I had to redo it completely. Evidently Samsung does not believe in the old adage, that if "it's not broken, you don't fix it!"
One star was the lowest rating that they allow you to submit, however even that's one star too many.

This phone is no different than any other Samsung phone and not worth price just because it has extra memory. The worst part of this over priced phone is that Samsung didn't learn from all of the backlash Apple received for having a dongle to use as a headset. Dumbest idea EVER!!! I am most likely going to return this phone and stop buying anything Samsung at this point. Also, no charger cable or plug in. I spent more than a $1,000 for this phone and you are too cheap to give me a charger and a headset?!

I have had this for about three weeks. I regret purchasing it. It constantly drops calls in spots that my old Samsung S9 never dropped calls in. I have to restart it multiple times a day in order to receive text messages. The internet is slow on it even when I am connected to my fast wifi. I can't get Hulu to play on it without buffering. I never had any of these problems with my S9. I wish I hadn't traded in my S9. Even with a cracked screen, it was waaaay better. The only thing I like about this phone is the purple color.

Quite Happy with this phone
I have had the phone for a month now and I am very happy with it. After reading the negative reviews about the battery life and overheating problems I did delete and disable features and apps that I would not use right off the bat. So far we have not had any issues with either the battery or overheating. The camera is amazing and the features to work with the images are great fun

Terrible battery life
Battery life is terrible. I returned after 1 day. I used my phone 5 mins and it dropped 15%. By 1:30 p.m. my phone was at 10%. I get better battery life with my 2 year old phone so I switched back. I also hate how you can't use a SD card, I take a lot of photos.

I brought this S22+ a few weeks ago. Not a fan of the volume and vibration are so light you barely hear them.
The battery life was a problem until I was informed to use the cord that came with the phone and not my old charger, because the old charger drains the battery. Now my charge last all day.

Purchased an S22 Plus to replace my S10 Plus 3 days ago. Charging port will not hold cable or take a charge. I can only charge on a dock. $700 waste of money. Give me my S10 back! I am NOT happy about this issue as I use the camera several times a week for my job...charging on a dock in a car is a real pain.

I've had this phone for 2 weeks now, I regret upgrading for sure, guess I should say downgrading. The battery is so bad that it drains almost immediately after I take it off my charger. 2 after after I leave home I'm down to about 50 percent, and I'm not even using it excessively. I'm also having a very hard time connecting it to my samsung watch. I do notrecommend getting this phone. I rather just go back to my S21.

It's an OK phone I guess. Don't find it nearly as user friendly as my old Motorola phone. Doesn't seem to work with a screen protector, won't register your fingerprint, so that's annoying. Of course it doesn't come with any user guide but found one on-line. New "fast charger" cable isn't compatible with standard USB so I needed to buy a new charger. Wanted 5G which my old phone didn't have, got talked into getting this phone. In hindsight, I should have passed.

Cant get text messages sent out for crap unless it is to the main person on the same account. no room for an sd card. cant use wire headphones because there is no where to plug them in they have to be bt only. although the pictures come out clear you have no filter or edit options but the normal boring ones.

Decent replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S10
Overall, I am happy with this phone. I had been using a Galaxy S10 for several years and was constantly having to recharge the battery. I thought a new phone would resolve this problem, but unfortunately the S22 battery life is not as improved as I would have hoped. I am able to charge it quickly with the charging cable that came with (although I'm not thrilled that I had to buy a new adapter due to the different plug-in size). I love the improved fingerprint recognition (vs. the one on the side of the S10 that rarely recognized my fingerprint) and the speed of loading stuff is great. The size is similar to my old phone, so it fits into all the same places in my purse that the old one did.

Upgraded from S10+ to S22+ on corporate rotation plan. Other than slightly different buttons and the lack of a micro-SD card, after two weeks on the road with heavy use my user experience is identical. (Disclosure I am not a photographer). I can tell no difference with 5G, speed test or functional, disappointing because I am in that value chain and was rooting for it. Solid phone, works great, but I would not spend my own money to upgrade if my S10+ was functional. Maybe I would be more excited had I upgraded from a lower tier product. Not disappointed, just not impressed.

I'm disappointed for the first time with Galaxy
Yes, the battery. Fully charged last night 10pm, on airplane mode all night. It's 1pm now and down to 20 percent. I've had galaxy's since SIII. And loved them all. None with a battery like this. And the color, ugh. Waited a long time for sky blue but it's a disappointment. Today is the first sunny day in the last week, so today you could say it looks blue. But at night or cloudy day it looks gray! When I ask people what color it looks like most say gray, or bluish gray. Don't like it. And it's so thick and clunky. I've always loved the sleek look of the Galaxy. This one is too thick! I thought it would feel more like the S10e or the S10, both of which I had and loved. It feels much more bulky than those. I traded in a S20fe and even tho that's a bigger phone it felt sleeker in my hand. Not happy at all....

I love everything about this phone can't stop putting it down. I love the camera and the video is excellent! The animation is excellent! When people call me I see my avatar dancing across the screen. I love the sound quality with a speak on the bottom and top. It charge fast just like I ??. This is the phone for me. I'm glad I got this phone instead of the iPhone not saying nothing is wrong with iPhone, but this is the phone for me. My Samsung active watch loves it to with lots of watch faces.

Don't Like the Feel
I loved my previous S9, the feel of it was so smooth and sleek. I only got this S22 so my husband and I could get upgraded phones for a reduced price. But this one feels clunky in my hand, I don't like the straight sides at all, I hope I can put up with it until Samsung comes out with a better feeling phone. This one is terrible. I've only had it a week and I do NOT like it at all.

I bought my S22 Ultra three days ago and realized after only one day that I should have listened when I was advised not to purchase this phone as yet (until the various issues were resolved). I regret not taking that advice. The battery power is not good and I had to charge two to three times a day, even after fully charging the day I bought it. Today, I will just leave the phone on the charger; that's less stress. My other issue is that it takes quite a while to send text messages and even LONGER to send just one picture. Unless folks are in desperate need and really want this S22 Ultra phone (no matter what), I think it is better to wait a little while before purchasing.

The s22 shoots in 8k but it doesn't even matter but no external micro SD memory slot? Why? You could easily put 500 GB to a TB of memory in the S20 which made photo management a no brainer especially with the massive file sizes these media files take up. In the modern age of content creation, content management, and content versatility; unless you are shelling out an extra paycheck for the 512 GB model save your money and wait for the next version... As a professional who uses my phone for business and doesn't have time to upload to the cloud every time my hard drive fills up. Its frustrating to say the least. Yet again the design team loses touch with its consumer. Consider making an PRO version of your device with expandable storage, Because the "ultra" is ultra disappointing.

Glad to be back!
I had a Google Pixel but it was nothing like the Galaxy phone. I switched back to the S22 and am so glad I did. It is so much easier to use and has a great battery life and the speed is so much better. It is also a smaller footprint and so it's much easier to handle and pocket. I will never go back to anything else.

The battery life on these isn't good. Everything seems to be ok. No where to put a SD card that I seen so whatever gigabyte you order is what you g etc. Also not able you mobile hotspot.

I purchased S22 back in April to replace my S9. It gets hot while charging and the battery life is not as good at the S9 I had. I replaced my S9 do to the slower speed i was getting, but this is not any faster. I am not impressed at all with the S11

Terrible battery life!
I traded a Samsung S8+ in for the Samsung S22. Love the pink gold, the screen is smaller than my S10+, but photos are great.
My battery won't even last a full waking day (my others still had life when I plugged them in before bed.

Just got the S22 because it was free with trade in for AT&T. That is the only reason to get it really. The features are not that great. The battery life is lacking. It also looks too much like the iPhone which I hate. People buy samsung because they don't want the iPhone.

I had a Galaxy 9 for years. I loved that phone until it wouldn't hold any more pictures, data or storage. I purchased a 126mb SD card for memory and still nothing new added would go over to the card. So I decided to trade in my lovely, but older purple s9 for the s22. Bad move. My emails or pages won't load constantly. I'm always restarting. No ear buds were given. No block was given for charging. Matter of fact, I had to spend more money on an adapter to be able to use buds that I had bc I don't really like using my beats sometimes but I'm being forced to use them now. I wish I could get my purple s9 back but I called customer service and they had me restarting my networks I shouldn't have to do that. It was automatic before. This upgrade to an s22 has been a disaster. One good thing, nice cameras.

I love a lot of the new features of this phone but I like to keep my phone on vibrate but I can barely feel it unlike my previous galaxy it would shake the table. I miss so many calls as a result

My S7 gave me better service
I live 50 mi outside of the closest town. My S7 gave me perfect reception all the way, my S22+ drops calls in 2 different spots. The S22 has terrible battery life and even tho I have tried 2 different cords the charge rate from my car is so slow as to be worthless. I can no longer delete a single message from my texts I have to delete the whole conversation - a feature I HATE!! I am not able to easily transfer photos from the phone to my computer or to text messages .. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...... The button to activate the screen being on the side now requires me to use my entire hand to activate it instead of a single finger .... There's more but I'm tired of writing ... I honestly would have returned this but the store no longer had the S7 I traded in to give back to me ......

Should have stuck to my Note 9!
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! I pre-ordered this phone and excitingly waited for 3 weeks. I should have kept my Note 9. The great thing about this phone is that is so much smaller and that's what I was looking for. Bad life is horrible. The fingerprint scanner is dumb. I set up both thumbs and both indez fingers and it never reads them. I added a screen protector and changed the phone setting to be more sensitive with the screen protector, but this doesn't work. I'm always having to enter my passwords into all my apps now since the fingerprint sensor sucks. This should have come with a charger, at least a home charger with a usb port. Instead they give you a cord with double C's like if we actually connect our phone to someone else's every day??? It had a hard time transferring all Google passwords and only saves a few. I've had to log into my google account from my computer to get passwords to fill in my phone. I can't believe I have to pay $30 a month for 2 years on this thing. I wish I could take it back without a fee! Screen shots are weird. You have to hold the power button and volume down button at the same time for a screen shot. Both of these buttons are on the same side and next to each other. You can't take a screen shot without having to use both hands and hold the phone sideways to get both buttons next to each other. Sounds weird, but try it and you'll see.

i bought this like a few months ago its the best device i ever used. as a teen it has the perfect battery. perfect size. i play games on it too and it performs amazing. i love the phone and it amazing. Samsung didn't let me down this time asnwell. love everything about it. i loved the phone since the moment i held it in my hands. i recommend this product. it has an amazing battery life. i mean i have had moments where i charge it up till 85% and it lasted me 2 whole days with more than 9 hours which for a 3,700 mah battery thats insane

I have tried and loved many samsung products over the years but this Samsung S22+ is the worst phone I have ever had. I have had nothing but problems with the performance, the constant ads that pop up on the home screen, the phone freezing 10 times a day. I can barely get anything done. So ,for that I would not recommend this phone.

The ONE reason why I went with Samsung over iPhone way back in the early stages was due to the flexibility of the SD slot. I don't understand why they took this MOST important feature away, but I hope & pray that the future models bring this back.

I bought this phone a month ago and it is a great phone, I love the camera quality, it works seamlessly, my one issue is the battery life, I use my phone often for work and the battery feels like it's almost always dead by lunch, I am always on the move so I have to carry a portable charger which is inconvenient

Battery no good
Got this 2 weeks ago. Do not like the battery life. Have not changed any phone habits.... leave in the morning for work and phone is 40percent when I get home. Old phone(lg) would last me 2 days without charging. Also don't like the key board. I swipe type and almost impossible with this phone. No headphone jack, no charger??? Last Samsung I had was the 10 and it was a way better product then. My kid still plays with it. Checked the keyboard on that and no problem...

I thought I was getting n upgrade for my Note 10+. It was evident that was not the case. The only things that are "upgrades " are: the camera system. Although to the average user the upgrades are negotiable. The other upgrade is the moved the buttons on the right side which makes it easier for a right handed person. It is identical in size to the note 10+. I was hoping for a little bigger screen. The brand new battery lasts just as long as my 2.5 year old note, I was very disappointed that the battery performance was not better. I don't game or stream a lot on it and the battery isn't that great. As an average user there is nothing new or noteworthy that stands out from the not 10+. They also took away the expandable memory slot. The other thing is, you pay so much money for a phone and they can't even supply a cord and wall charger? I hope this helps people make a better choice.

We got this phone as an upgrade for my birthday and to be honest this is a little bit hard to understand. When you call Samsung pro to get help of course nobody wants to help you they don't give you ticket numbers nor do they send any information that you may need. I wanted to know about accessories for my Samsung product as well as this phone I mean the phone is amazingly fait's amazingly fast but I feel like it's lacking something because it's not fully connected to all the Samsung apps it's on apps and other apps that help boost it. And of course when you call and give them the ticket number they imagine they cannot find the The chat that we had earlier and promise promo codes because of a real bad experience and yet nothing still no help with the phone set it up or anything

Terrible Battery Life
I want to preface that I have owned several Samsung phones, I have Samsung televisions and a laptop. I bought this S22 as an upgrade and it has become increasingly disappointing. The battery life is just not reliable, at all. It will drain from 25% to completely dead within an hour. It's really not safe to have this kind of poor performance in a phone battery. Based on other reviews I am not alone in this. It is frustrating to have to have the phone on a charger in the car, at home and at work to make it through a 10 hour day. Enormous regret in buying this phone. Will have to look into external battery options but really wish I could return it.

I bought this to replace a galaxy S5. It's a good phone, I do like a lot of what it has to offer, but I think some of the stuff is useless. Bixby should be removed as it doesn't offer any value whatsoever. The removal of the earbud connection is not good thing in my opinion. Bluetooth rewards done last long enough and some of us like having the option of using a wired solution.
The fact that you have no light to light up when you missed a call, or have a text waiting is a pretty bad design flaw. I don't like having to check my phone every few minutes. Having a light makes my life easier and allows me to disconnect.
I love the camera. It takes quality photos and video, and is a great plus in my book. All told the price tag is high for what this phone has to offer. For a flagship offering, I expected mo

Disappointed Loyal Samsung fan
I've been a loyal Samsung Galaxy fan going back to the Galaxy S3. Unfortunately this phone REALLY misses the mark. The battery life is truly horrible and I need to recharge my phone at least once a day despite doing everything that I can do to optimize battery life.
I don't know what Samsung has done this time, but it sure seems like I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.
I truly hope some sort of plan is being rolled out to fix this issue.
As I said, I've been a loyal Galaxy guy FOREVER and this is the first phone that I've had that has me questioning different manufacturers.
I would not recommend this phone at all.

Upgrade from s10
I bought my S22 a few months ago to replace my s10 (which I had for 3 years prior). I thought I was going to have my s10 for all of eternity, auxiliary port, 4k photo/video, 3 cameras, 4k oled display, fingerprint reader, and of course the infinity screen. I only upgraded because I was told the s10 might be unrepairable, which turned out to be false (just needed a new battery since I've dropped that phone easily 5000times, no exaggeration). I got the s22 because it's the predecessor to my s10, and although I like the snapyness of it, the refresh rate, and the upgraded camera quality, my s22 has felt more of a downgrade. I miss my auxiliary port and there's absolutely no excuse, since the s10 is actually thinner and slimmer, and I've compared them side by side several times to make sure! I miss my 4k display and I miss the iconic Galaxy Infinity screen slightly hanging off the side, which allowed me to see the underglow of notifications when the phone was upside down. If Samsungs s23 is more like the s10 - thinner, auxiliary port, 4k display, and infinity screen - then I'd be the happiest loyal samsung costumer on the planet.

I hate the battery life. Why have this nice phone that you have to be worried about if your battery is going to die on you in less than 10 hours smh. My husband's A53 battery last 2 days. I have to charge mine EVERY NIGHT!! Really at $799 unacceptable. Now I have to deal with this for 2 yrs. ??

I've been using this new phone now for 4 days. The very first day I used it, after maybe 6 hours I turned music on and it came out playing like I had dropped my phone in a puddle of water, all crackly. This has happened to me several times since then, for no reason. Having a speaker that works is literally the only thing I am very concerned about in a phone. I listen to a lot of music and generally talk on speaker phone. This is a huge disappointment. Also battery life isn't anything like I was hoping it would be.

WORST BATTERY EVER
I have has this phone less than a year and the battery can last half a day at most, with minimal use. Yes, Samsung, I am aware of all the things "I'm supposed to do" and nothing helps. For a phone this young, I should not have battery issues like this. This might be the worst battery on a phone I've ever had. I would advise not to purchase unless you want to spend your days chasing down plugs and battery packs.

Stop dropping features
I am coming from a Galaxy 9+ phone. The only reason I traded was because of security issues. That being said... This is not the best phone! They do not make these phones for average people. Most people don't care about high-tech things. We just want what we are used to. Such as the Led notification light, the power button on one side, and the volume on the other. The screenshot being able to be taken with just the power key. How many people can honestly say they can 1. screenshot in the first try (without turning your volume down) 2. be able to power your phone off again in the first try?
I have only had this phone up and running for a week. So far I have not "heard" any notifications. You have just made everything so complicated. Also, when you do the smartswitch...no that simple. Still have to sign in to ALL those accounts. MAKE SURE you remember those user names and passwords! During the next update - please change/correct the screenshot thing and the powerdown thing atleast. So far the battery life is not that great. Thank you

Have had major problems getting signals, kept getting No Sim Card messages. My wife had to call the dealer because there is no support available in a reasonable time. Dealer had us reset the Network settings, so far, this has helped.
Just tried to use the Paypal credit card adapter and found that there is NO HEADPHONE JACK!
Have had no luck with Bluetooth speakers in my pickup, they crackle and breakup, so, I use wired ones and now I cannot use them either!

Not as good as our old S10
Purchased on May 27, 2022. Good phone but does not pick up signals as good as my S10 did in the same places. It is difficult for me to turn the phone off or restart it because you have to push two buttons simultaneously. Samsung took a long step backwards with this one.
Phone is slower loading apps than the S10 too.
What I do like is that there is no Bixby button. Now, it they would make it so we can uninstall all Bixby and other pre-loaded apps that we do not need or want.
Samsung and Android do not care about their customers.

After not having an Android phone for a while I decided to get this on a trade in deal with Google Fi and I really enjoy it! The under display fingerprint scanner and always on display are my two favorite features. But I also love the edge panels and the camera are good too. I knocked off 1 start because battery life has been rather disappointing to be honest. Only really get around 5-6 hours of screen on time. Other than that this phone is great and I would recommend outside of the battery issues.

just received from verizon tried everything to get outlook to work. only mail program that works in my old blackberry acct. ( which works great by the way ) They say it has great screen lighting but I set it and it and it goes back an forth light to dark and back. only first day so maybe it will get better. But it might be going back.

Speakers cannot handle pressure changes or cold. Sounds broken after 1500 foot elevation change. I do it every day. The battery is second rate at best. Wish I would have kept my S9+(great phone).

Super smooth to use
I finally upgraded from my S 9, which was still pretty operational but felt like an upgrade. Very glad I did, the new phone works and feels better. The apps seem to be faster and easier to use.

Lacks basic features
Storage is too small, 128 and 256 is nothing by current standards especially at this price.
Expandable storage gone and headphone jack missing - these are deal breakers, there is no reason to remove ether one. I will not be buying Samsung phone moving forward.

Gets too hot, and frame-rate drops
This phone gets too hot too easily. Also, when it starts to get hot, when I stream videos, the frame-rate drops a lot. This is a downgrade from the S21, unfortunately.

I have been a Samsung user for more than 10 years. Researched the S22 for about a month and thought it would be a great upgrade. Should've stuck with my S10E!!!! although it is a good phone- the battery life on the 22 is horrible!!!!

Very nice phone for the price with trade & finance
You can't beat the trade in and finance from Samsung with this phone. My Samsung 8+ had a hairline crack on the back and would no longer hold a charge for more than an hour of use and they still gave me $200 for it. I'm very pleased with the s22+ that is almost the exact size of my old phone but works better in every way. My only complaint is that taking a screenshot is a lot harder because of all buttons being on the right side of the phone instead of being on each side of the phone. If you like taking screen shots a lot this does take some getting used to. The special financing and trade in value for my old, essentially useless phone was amazing and really can't be beat with any other phone deal out there.

Worst Samsung Phone I've Ever Owned
I gave this Samsung S22 2 stars because it was free with my Verizon "upgrade". It is not an upgrade at all. You get what you "pay" for. This phone turns the internet off sporadically, takes forever to connect a website if ever, drops social media, has difficulty loading video and the battery life doesn't last 12 hours.

Purchased Galaxy S22 because my beloved Galaxy 8 started acting funky. Even though it was starting to act up, it still worked better than the Brand New S22. Sooo wish I still had the Samsung 8. I really feel that the pop-ups, presumptuous advertising, and unwanted mind-numbing games that are constantly thrown onto the S22 - without consent - are obtrusive and interfering when I want to text or make a call.

battery is disappointing
Phone is fine, not noticeable better then my s20. Battery life is certainly less robust then my s20 having to stop and charge my phone during the day and then again at night. S20, just had to charge every other day. Same usage.

Really disappointed!
Bought 2 weeks ago problems already: battery over heating occasionally; unwanted text delete options screen popped up and froze on phone; when typing (text/email) frequently reverts to that Ap home screen.
Really disappointed! 5 software updates have been accepted since purchase. Anticipate having to replace.

Not happy at all
I am not happy with my NEW S22 because of it's battery life. It is horrible. The camera is not as good as I was told either. I am very unhappy. I still have to deal with this for 2 whole years.
People also complain that I have an echo when we talk. I am so, so unhappy with the performance of my New S 22.

I've had it for two weeks now and not a fan. Disappointed! I've owned 3 other galaxies in the past just upgraded from s20+ this one is a step backwards. Love the camera! No problem with that. My issue will echo other reviewers horrible battery and terrible sound. Not only is the max volume too low but it's tinny sounding. When you listen to music or videos they sound awful like they were all recorded in a tin can. This might be my last Samsung.

This is my fourth, and I mean fourth Samsung in 6 months. Really Samsung. From a Note 9 breaking after 3 years to 3 separate brand new Samsung s22+ or ultras not working is crazy. Where is the quality. If it happens again I go to IPhone. Its only for crook Verizon that I stayed with same phone.

It's great minus a few things
Got my s22 around Christmas 2022 and although it has great sounding speakers it does not come with a outlet to plug in headphones,oh no that has to be purchased separately. You literally have to buy a little cord adapter thar has a headphone slot at the bottom. I'm not a fan of pod headphones because they fall out of your ears during activity/movement so now I have to purchase a cord. Secondly I'm left handed, guess where every button is on this phone? Right side only! South paws need buttons too Samsung. All that a side the camera is great since I am a photographer it's nice not having to take around camera equipment and still take great photos. The phone did some with a lot of extra (unnecessary) apps which I removed right away because it only takes up space. Overall it's still a great phone I just wish the designing was thought out more before production.

Bought 6 weeks ago. I personally hate that the buttons are all on the right side of the phone. I'm sure it's great for left handed people but I find taking a screen shot very difficult as you have to push the lower 2 buttons together. The battery life is not great. Phone lasts about as long as my S10+ that was 3 years old. Overall I am not impressed and may possibly switch from this phone as soon as I can. Kinda sad because I've been a Samsung user for many many years.

Don't care for it. Would rather have my older S9
I miss my S9. I can no longer use my speakers that are not Bluetooth. No added storage for pictures with a San disk. No blue light filter. You would think a product would get better not worse with less features.

Solid phone with some flaws. Get the S22+ instead.
I got this phone over a week ago and overall, I like it. I haven't had a Samsung phone since the S3 so it's taken me some time to get used to it. One thing I really enjoy coming from the iPhone 13 pro max is the screen size, it's very easy for me to handle with one hand. The camera is great, and I like the customization of the phone.
The only two problems I have with this phone is the battery and streaming music over bluetooth while on wi-fi. The battery dies way too quick for me and I would consider myself a light to average user. When I stream music over wi-fi via bluetooth the music skips to the point where it's annoying. I am able to get it to stop skipping by turning wi-fi off so it's not too bad.
Overall, the s22 is a decent phone. However, I would spring for the S22+ for the increased battery life.

I freaking love this camera!
But, the data service is unreliable. I've had THREE S22's now and they all have the same issues.
Overheats
Text don't come in or go out, randomly.
Phone calls don't come in randomly.
I have no idea how many people I've missed communicating with and this is my personal business line.

Mostly Good Except the Battery
We've had the phones for a month. The camera is very good. It was easy to set up and transfer from our previous phone. The battery is disappointing. It does not last as long as our A52 phone.

Battery Ultra limited. Turns itself off often.
Accept for a short Daily battery life all problems have been resolved. I tried everything the phone Tech's told me to try to no avail. I asked my carrier T-Mobile for another phone instead they wanted me to pay off the S-22 and purchase the S-23.
I assume that updates to the phone ultimately resolved the issues. The battery life never resolved. When the phone is on & working it was the best Samsung Phone experience I've ever had.

Not happy with this phone
I have had this phone a little over a year. Calls and texts don't always come in or go out. It has been replaced once, out of service for 5 days while verizon tried to fix it, and had numerous trips to the store to fix it. I now restart a couple times a day to make sure nothing is missed. Very disappointed. Used to love Samsung. 2 years left on my contract for the worst phone I've had.

Extremely disappointed
I have had this phone for over a year. It constantly freezes and resets randomly. Recently, ive had to factory reset the phone because it was on a reboot loop. I have had galaxy phones since the first one came out and this is the first one that has made me want to switch to a different brand.

I use galaxy phones since five years and they are for sure the best series that can be even better than I-phone.
The only thing I don't like of the S22 is that it has only one slot for simcards.

Happy so far!
Traded in a 10s - it was seemless. The s22 s faster with a quicker charge and longer battery life. The camera is also a bit more robust though I'm not sure of the specifics. Really happy with it so far!

S22 Stinks
Been a Samsung Galaxy user over 10 years. The S22 (or at least the one I got) is the worse yet. Keep dropping (WiFi as well as cellular) calls and Verizon cannot seem to fix it. Night time video (like at concerts) stinks as well.

Have had my S22 for over a month (replacing a S8). Love it!!! No battery issues at all. Use a Samsung charging station. Camera is amazing!! Audio is great (use Galaxy Buds 2). Thanks Samsung!

Nice phone
It appears to be a really nice phone but as with my last phone I probably will not use most of features. I rarely used the camera, I never used the "Bixby". But the thing I don't like about the phone is it doesn't have a expansion slot but otherwise I really like the phone.

Great phone, but lacking what made Samsung great.
Giving this review 4 stars. Why?
For several reasons.
Firstly, this phone is actually really good, the phones overall design is nice, the glass back, the sides, even the screen are all good aspects of the phone, to top it off it performs really well, with the memory storage, speeds, and graphics support, its a great contender against other flagships from other brands.
Secondly, this is a huge step for me personally, from a S7 Edge to a S22, that is a big jump, the performance, battery life, and display are all good pointers, there are a few things missing that I would like to see back but that would bring me to my third reason.
Thirdly, my biggest disappointment about this phone is the loss of the headphone jack, SD card slot, and the lack of a good data-cable with a charging brick, sure you 'save' cardboard and materials, but in the end you are still in need to make the bricks, and put them in separate boxes, in the long run you are actually producing more waste, there should have been an option in the store to add a brick for free, especially for those who do not have a means to charge their phones starting out. The other issue to this is, its a clear copy cat move on Samsung's part, if I want an Apple, ill go get an Apple Phone, stop trying to be like them and try to be yourselves, the SD card slot or external memory was a nice thing to have in your phone, now I have to deal with either the UI (DEX) or windows file explorer, and a headphone jack was nice for when you wanted to listen to music without having to deal with more E-waste like earbuds. Also this phone doesn't come with a USB-C to headphone jack connector, so that was a bummer, and something that should have been included for how much is being charged.
So in short? Great phone, but missing out on alot of stuff like a headphone jack, SD card slot, charging brick, data cable, and a USB-C to headphone Connector. Solutions? Atleast put the headphone jack back in and give an option for a charging brick, if you are not going to include a connector with a phone that doesn't have a jack, then its a inconvenience.

I've had this for a little under a month but it is a big improvement over my S10. Loving the flat screen that allows the screen protector to sit flush. The new features including battery Full notifications are great.

Time for the upgrade- Very worth its wait.
I have been highly determining that the S22 upgrade was worth it due to the switch feature, also my samsung had been a cloud backup when previously lost and decided to give this one a shot. Very skeptical when the case protection is even worth it due to the looks may take this one out of the bag.

I have finally given up on this phone and went back to my S9+
The Bio metrics work when it wants to, will not notify when Email comes in wait for me to open the email app to download email and then it download 8 to 10 all at once some of which are 6 to 8 hours old, opens and closes apps at will.
Basically this phone is a piece of junk

Not the best Galaxy unfortunately
I've had the s3, the s6 and the s9. Decided that since the pandemic was over, i needed to upgrade phones. This phone had so many bugs, so many software issues. I even had to go use my warranty to get it repaired. They reset my software completely and it still did not work. The keyboard lags, apps don't work on it and the battery isn't the best. Would not recommend the s22.

Good phone except the short battery life
I like the galaxy phones. Its pretty basic and easy to use. The only thing that sucks is the battery life. I had my old galaxy for 4 years so of course the battery was getting old. This new model however holds poor batter life just the same. It was a shock to get a new phone and the battery situation didn't improve

I'm in the probationary period with a first time Samsung product, and with more use I'm getting more convinced to return it and get another brand:
- 4 system updates within 24 hours of receipt
- I set up biometrics at the start, and after the 4th system update, I had to set it up again as it wouldn't recognize the fingerprints. I hope is this isn't a continual annoyance.
- UGLY HOME SCREEN and Samsung expects the solution is get a 3rd party app that give wide storage access to fix what other manufactures do out of the box! I know what the apps are on my home screen. I don't need the names underneath cluttering the screen, and it's unreasonable that Samsung relies on extended app suppliers to fix what should be in Settings.
- the Samsung keyboard is too tall and takes unnecessary space.
- I turned on aggressive spam blocking and am receiving more spam calls than the prior phone. Apparently, I didn't know how good I had it.
- Samsung spams. I avoid apps that pop up adds to buy, why does Samsung think they need to?
- It's been less than a day and I miss my flashlight gesture. Yes, I can get a 3rd party app to do it, but why isn't this built in? Just one more app to add to get on par with more adds :(
- So far the phone is fast, but other manufactures are too.
All the above is in less than 14 hours and I was asleep 8 of those. Perhaps the underlying hardware is top notch, but the user interface is behind the competition.

Bought the S22 in September 2022 and really like it. Still haven't been able to get Google Maps to talk over the Bluetooth though. The only way to get the verbal driving directions is to turn off Bluetooth. This was the same issue I had with the S9.

Bought this phone about a month ago and it was a terrible decision. Terrible performance, terrible battery life, I should have stuck with my IPhone SE. Now I'm stuck with this and hoping to swap my sim card into an 8 year old phone due to better performance.

This isnthe worst Samsung Galaxy phone I have ever had. I've had 3. My Galaxy 10 was the best! I would still have it today, if Verizon had not taken the insurance off of it. I cracked the screen and had to get this junk of a phone. With every update it get worse. It says it's 5G, but it has the worst connection service, the battery dies at 5%, it will not hilold a charge, it will just cut off while in the middle of work. Now the the newest up the picture ratio of websites and videos will not fit the screen. I am so in shock over the quality of phone from Samsung Galaxy line. Please do not purchase this phone. The stress and headaches from the phone is tiresome and very frustrating. Samsung you need to replace all of these with a phone that works. Just give me my Galaxy 10, please. Smh

Disappointed except for the camera and speed
I have had this phone for a month. I was so excited to be able to get an upgrade. I wanted a faster speed and better camera. Check marks on both. Yay! There have been soooo many pop ups on choices in which I am unsure about. I wasn't able to retrieve my texts for days. It has frozen several times. The battery life is not good. Disappointed!

A great compact phone
I purchased the S22 to replace my Pixel 6a because the screen wasn’t bright enough outside in the desert sun. I only use my S22 when I’m out trail running and hiking. I have a Pixel 7 Pro as my main phone but I do love the S22, it is more compact than the 6a and I can see the screen when I’m outside. I use to have the S21 Plus which loved, using the S22 makes me realize how I missed Samsung. People have told me I should have bought the S23, because the battery was awful and it overheats. For what I use this phone for I don’t experience any of these issues. I do have two separate lines and I’m considering the S23 Plus to replace my iPhone 13 which is on this line.

Terrible Warranty
I got this phone in August of 2022. Everything was great...till it wasn't. Last week I received a moisture in my USB port warning and now can not charge the phone. I tried everything on the internet, went to my mobile carrier and was pointed toward Samsung as it was under warranty. Samsung's solution was for me to send it off for 7 to 10 days to them. Most folks can't be without their phone for a day. Terrible solution.

The S22 us a poor quality phone. The updates occur frequently and keep changing my preferences and privacy settings. The phone doesn't hold a charge more than 8 hrs. Google basically owns the phone and controls all yhe features. Whenever I try to make a change, I have to log into my account (just like apple) to make changes...really ATT. I can't wait for this contract to expire so I can throw away this device. It is a waste of money.

Screen doesn't work right. Sometimes doesn't recognize tap, other times it reads the wrong location of the tap. Ie. Tap a letter or a button and something next to it activates. It is not accuracy of tapping on my part. I haven't had this problem with any other smartphone.

Signal Connectivity
This is a horrible phone. I love my Samsung products, so was excited at the prospect of upgrading. Wish I still had my old phone. I have had a horrible time with the internet connectivity with this device, and the one I originally got before the screen broke and it was replaced by insurance. Everything else about the phone seems to operate fine, but seems to have issues finding a signal.

I write tthis his after having to reset the phone for the 5th time to be able to make a call.it is a fussy phone that I have very little faith that it will work when asked to perform. Samsung help shows the phone is up to date with software and phone is ok….BS

Pretty great phone. Display is awesome. Nice and crisp. Very bright. The camera is awesome. Professional quality photos if you know how to use the features. The phone itself is pretty tough. I left my S22 on top of my car and drive off from my house. I quickly realized what I had done and stopped my car. Went to pick up the S22 thinking screen was broke and phone would be rendered useless. I was amazed to discover the phone was not only usable but did not even have a scratch on it. This phone is like a piece of iron with the weight of a feather. Great features on this phone. 128 gb so decent memory. Now the bad.. I only have 1 complaint. The battery life is somewhat questionable. However at the price point Samsung sells the S22 for I would absolutely recommend the product. Would have given 4.5 stars if I could have. Definitely a wonderful addition to the my Galaxy collection.

S22 - no big deal.
I traded in my S9 for a S22. I miss my S9. S22 battery seems to drain quicker, they've removed the O2 and heart rate app and putting all the buttons on one side of the phone is annoying. If I try to shut the phone down it seems I have to get rid of Bixby (who needs this?) and take 4 screen shots before I get to the shut down screens. 5G - big deal, 4G worked just fine for my purposes.

I HATE THE GALAXY 22 KEYBOARD, AUTOCORRECT, AND TALL TO TEXT FEATURE. The text is not calibrated and the space bar is not wide enough which makes me constantly hit the period instead. The talk to text cuts off in the middle of my sentences and won't allow it to keep listening and typing. The autocorrect doesn't autocorrect or ever type what I am trying to type. I had a Google pixel before and could type paragraphs accurately without ever looking at my keyboard. I use this features more than any other feature and am constantly frustrated. PLEASE UPDATE THESE FEATURES SAMSUNG!

Nice phone. Replaced an s7 edge. Yes I keep my phones for years. Don't like the following: no charging block included, power and volume buttons on same side of phone, very slick--don't handle it without a case, cannot add color to my folders--they blend in with the screen, no room for extra storage. Love the camera. Will see how the long the lenses hold up without getting scratched. Have had samsung phones for years. This one seems to a quality phone

Loved my previous Galaxy phones. Not this one!
I switched from Apple to Android 5 years ago and was thrilled with my phone. I didnt even hesitate to get another one, so we upgraded to the 22 and 22+ just before Christmas. Both of our phones have had issues. The 22+ has had to be replaced twice already. The 22 has to be restarted several times a week to keep functioning. When we tried to switch to different phones we were told we were just outside the 2 week period and would have to pay these ones off AND full price for new phones AND other charges for upgrading before we were allowed. I spent over 20 hours on the phone, on hold and getting bounced around to several departments, between AT&T, Samsung, and the warranty company, over a couple weeks trying to get help. This phone is awful and am seriously considering switching back to an iPhone.

Got a lemon!
All of our previous Samsung phones have been great! It is going on three months and the S22 has not worked to date. It is on its second trip back to the manufacturer. Hope it is replaced with a different phone!

This S22 is really awesome! I just simply love it!
Ya know...I waited for a while to buy a new phone & I'm glad I did wait. I did buy a cheap phone to get by cuz I actually dropped tmy S8 phone during the hurricane last year that totaled almost literally everything I own or owned.. lol. Home, car and phone... all of the above and that phone (the replacement) was the WORST so I was extremely happy to have a fast phone again. But this S22 has surpassed any and all of my expectations!

S22 Altitude pressure issues, causing crackly spkr
I purchased 2 of these, phone takes great pictures, size of phone is good, BUT the PROBLEM I have encountered is: when phone goes from high altitude to low altitude, it has crackly, distorted speaker sound, can not hear the caller. This issue is well documented on their own "Samsung Community Forum" site. Don't understand why they have not recalled all of these phones for repair! The temporary fix is to remove the sim card tray, to release the pressure inside phone, then replace the sim tray. A lot of videos on youtube about this exact issue. I would not purchase this phone!!!

I got this phone back in June last year. I miss my s10 honestly. I have had to warranty this phone twice for moisture detection malfunctioning charging issues as an inevitable result. But has an AMAZING CAMERA! Night photographs are amazing. Heck daytime photos are as well. The battery Is moderately sufficient if you don't push the phone to its max. But it does get severely hot. And it has so many features removed from it from the s9 and s10 series. Connectivity works better on 4G lte than 5G or 5Guw and I feel like the Google server on this phone has dumbed itself so the assistant is a lil remedial at times. The super fast charging feature is also a plus. Super fast charger sold separately was a thumbs down as well.

Indeed it's powerful Android phone with amazing zooming camera which you able see moon up close however one small issue with this phone is bloatware which mean they installed few unnecessary apps that you cannot removed so how can this phone be my personal freedom. I am start think about get iphone soon because it is clean with no bloatware which you pay for. Sorry Samsung, I do love your brand name but disappointed with stuff that you put in any device is NOT freedom for us. THANK YOU.

This phone is very slow. I had the 9+ and loved it.Itwas just older and started acting up , that's when I upgraded to the 22. I guess since I've only had it a month and still owe on it I will just have to tolerate it.

No more samsung for me.
Had my s22 about six months, a month for repairs withsammsung and it was a terrible experience. They ask me to trade it in for a $1400 phone and offered a small trade in. Fixed the phone and returned it and within 2 weeks same problem. We to trade it in on a S23 and the trade in value was less than $100. If Samsund doesn't find value in their phones, why should I. Good by Samsung.

I am giving it 1 star because the one feature I like and use the most is bluetooth for streaming to my hearing device. It doesn't work consistently; it keeps disconnecting at random times. Both Samsung and Android don't appear interested in resolving it.

Overall a good phone
I have had the Galaxy S22+ for about 3 weeks now and so far I like most of what the phone has to offer. The screen is crystal clear, it is really fast, and I am just learning how to use some of the features such as split screen which is really cool. Despite what many have said the battery life has been really good. I watch a lot of YouTube and other videos and I have battery left at the end of the day!
There are 2 items that I have found so far that denote the reduction of 1 star from the review, those are the finger print unlock function and the bottom speaker. To put it politely, the finger print scanner is just terrible, rarely ever works. I have deleted my finger print and performed the process again, turned up the increased touchscreen sensitivity, and still works terribly. This is very disappointing as I use that function on most all apps that require security. I previously had a Pixel 3xl, which is a 4 year old phone, and that fingerprint scanner worked flawlessly which makes this that much more disappointing.
Concerning the speaker, the bottom speaker will randomly sound like the speaker is blown. From my opinion it appears to be a software issue as you can restart the phone and the speaker works perfectly again. From some research I have done this has been an issue since the phone was originally released in 2022. I would think that Samsung would have been able to create a patch for this by now.
Overall I am so far satisfied with the phone and would recommend it if you are willing to deal with the few downfalls of the phone.

The S22 Ultra can hold its own against the S23.
I pre-ordered the S22 Ultra in green in February of 2022 to replace my Note 20, which was my first Samsung phone. It's a wonderful phone. The green color is the most beautiful color I've ever seen on a mobile device. The curved screen is a little annoying at first, especially when the S-Pen slides off of the edge, but after a week I was used to it.
The S Pen is incredibly responsive. For the average user, there should be no perceptible lag. From journaling to creating beautiful art, it's an amazing little piece of tech that's made keeping organized so much easier.
The screen is bright and vivid. Sound is good enough. And the phone is powerful enough that I often have over ten different apps open at the same time, and experience no lag or crashing when switching back and forth between different apps.
The camera on the phone is also incredible, and in Pro mode I was able to take shots that were just as good as on a Canon EOS.
A case is a must. Without a case, the phone is a bit slippery in the hand. Due to its large size, it can be hard to hold on to. Samsung's cases are okay, but there are a ton of $12 cases you can find anywhere that will work better.
I recently pre-ordered the S23 in green, and though there are some noticeable upgrades, I actually think that I still love the S22 more - enough that I may return the S23 and stick with this one. It's beautiful, and still has years of good times in it for me. And, unless you're dead set on having the new cameras, the differences are so subtle that you shouldn't need to shell out for the fancier one.

I took advantage of the black Friday deal Google Fi was running for the S22. I'll start with what I like...
I LOVE the camera. It takes really good photos and being able to take photos at twighlight or in darker settings is pretty nice. It's fairly quick as far as internet pages are concerned.
What drives me nuts is the battery does not last long whatsoever. This is not a phone to listen to music, stream, or talk (voice and video) on without being plugged in to a power source. With that, once the battery goes below 50% it runs a little slower and my wifi connection acts up. Definitely had to set my phone so it doesn't utilize data when offline. First month I didn't take note I lost wifi and paid a lot on data!
I also do not like how the voicemail is set up. You have to call your voicemail or rely on the inconsistent visual voicemail app. For an expensive phone, it's rather frustrating needing to jump through hoops just to access voicemail.
So it's not a terrible phone, but I would say it's fairly average. For buying it on sale it was worth it, but I wouldn't spend full price on this phone.

Battery drains fast. The phone will never lay flat, the camera lens area has a plastic ridge. No 3.5mm jack. Ear buds pretty much the norm. Never liked the Bixby button.

I brought this product about a month ago, it’s been a little disappointing, battery life is terrible and no USB cable or electrical connection was included for all that it’s cost. I think that the phone should be ready to use and should be able to charge without have to spend anymore money when the phone was so expensive.

I bought the phone less than two weeks ago and I absolutely hate it. I've had trouble making calls and sending texts and I've had to go back to the Verizon store three times so far, as there were no easy fixes. Also, the battery life sucks the big one. I already can't wait to trade this thing in.
