Rated 5 out of 5 byGymoniphon from Give my phone new optionsThis thing is cool. It makes your phone much more versatile as it allows you to use your phone like a desktop. I hooked mine up on my desk with one usb being used for keyboard and mouse and the other being used for an ethernet adapter. Works great and makes it easier to multitask and have multiple windows open at once. Performance is not noticeably degraded outside of display quality. The display on many apps is lower resolution and looks fuzzy. Also there are a lot of apps that still don't work on this device. The concept is great but I am waiting for a little more support behind it.

Rated 5 out of 5 byElaktyl from Good device with a little problemI was very excited, as I received my DeX pad.It works verry simple with perfect quality.BUT: For better protection, I bought the original Samsung Protective Case with stand for my S9+ and now it will not fit with the USB-C port.Now, when i want to use my DeX pad, I must remove the hole case.Please, Samsung, for those issue, sell a seperatly usb-c to usb-c connector maybe not longer then 1 centimeter.

Would like to see the Google Business apps have the same functionality in Dex as Office 365 so hopefully that is not too far away...

Rated 5 out of 5 byShygar from Great alternative to computer, couple practical issuesJust received mine and tested it out this morning. It's pretty lightweight, but stays put on the desk. Fan is very quiet, which is great. Performance is snappy and seems to work well, although I haven't tried playing a game on it yet.Now to the issues. The major one for me is this requires your TV or monitor to be able to resize your HDMI overscan settings on your monitor itself. Apparently this can't be controlled from the dex pad. For my 10 year old monitor, it seems to not have a way to adjust this. So now I'm left with about half an inch all the way around the screen that I cannot see or click because of this. My $35 raspberry pi's have no issue with their HDMI ports on the same monitor, so Samsung needs to fix this with a firmware update or something. The other issue I had is I can't plug in my phone because of my case. So I have to take it out of the case or find some kind of adapter to extend out the USB-C.Overall I'm glad I got it, I just wish I knew about the monitor issue before buying it. Now I have to get a new monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDe_PadUser from MY LAPTOPS CRASHED! MY NOTE9 WAS ALL I HAD!MY TRIPI'm a Power PC User of 30 years+ so my review is maybe more educated than most & also reliable. NIGHTMARE: THE BIOS ON BOTH MY Windows 7 LAPTOPS CRASHED (AT DIFFERRENT TIMES and I lost my job, so no money to buy even just ONE working laptop! My second of two 10 Year old Laptops I own crashed beyond repair, the Microsoft store I took it too for repair said! Thankfully I had just bought & received a Note9. I had heard of the De_ Pad (sorry my _ key is dead on my e_ternal keyboard...I need a Laptop & e_ternal keyboard desperately but I lost my job). With no money to buy a laptop to get functional for business type activities, I got a De_ Pad...fast! I had read the reviews, many good, many bad. I received the De_ Pad, hooked up my monitor, e_ternal keybard & mouse. It was THAT simple! It takes 2 minutes to get it working! I have been in shock at how GREAT & AMAZING this setup is! I can surf the internet like normal again. The Chrome Browser, Android version, on my phone, doesn't have tabs obviously on the small phone screen. Now when I use Chrome With DE_Pad, the tabs appear! Get a FULL HD (1080p), 27" " 'CURVED' " Monitor for a sureal e_perience! Using the De_ Pad is so great because ALL my activities are now in ONE SPOT...My Note 9. I wonder how so may can be negative about the De_ Pad?! It seems to me, that when you HAVE TO find out how to use it and fully utilize it's functionality for your situation, you find out how great it is! I also read it also supports Linu_ now too. I read reviews and I hope Samsung makes the Linu_ integration/support good for general business use, not just developers, like I read (but haven't tried). I read The "Linu_ Install process" is NOT simple, it's designed for Software Developers to install/use, so I can't waste time trying to get up to speed on all it takes to install Linu_ and then find out it's geared for developers, not end users (like the reviews say). Hopefully they will make it simple to INSTALL, and user friendly for end users like De_ Pad. Anyone got a Windows Laptop I can use? I need a Windows "10" Laptop to get hired for a job opportunity available to me. I Hope my review is helpful.

I just plug it in, use it, unplug and take everything with me at all times. Optimisation will continue to improve, i'm sure. So cheap for what it does. Very happy customer
