With Quantum Dot technology, Samsung's QLED gaming monitor provides an extreme upgrade in your gaming experience. Quantum Dot makes today's games appear more lifelike by delivering a billion shades of accurate color. The CHG70 QLED gaming monitor features support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), so dark areas are darker and bright areas are brighter. See mind-blowing detail and contrast as bright blue skies share the screen with deep shadows and silhouettes. The CHG70 supports AMD's Radeon FreeSync 2 technology, which gives gamers a smooth, plug-and-play HDR gaming experience with twice the perceivable brightness and color of that offered by the sRGB spectrum without distortion or visual distraction.

Blending its advanced motion blur reduction technology with its superior VA panel, Samsung has created this curved monitor with a super-fast 1ms MPRT (motion picture response time) that lets you enjoy unprecedented gaming performance without motion blur across the entire screen. The fast 144Hz screen refresh rate ensures you flawlessly smooth action scenes even in games with high frame rates. And you can adjust the refresh rate to 60Hz/120Hz when necessary. With a pixel density approximately 1.7 times higher than Full HD, the CHG70 delivers game scenes and characters in captivating detail, giving you a panoramic view of the whole battlefield so you can spot your enemy sneaking up on you from any corner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who is responsible for the hdr not working proper? I have tried every possible way to get the hdr to work on windows 10 with two games: resident evil 2 remake and the division 2. Samsung is marketing this display as vesa display hdr 600 at 144hz at freesync2? Does this display have physical v1.4 displayport? If it does, then the problem is Amd Radeon or Windows 10. The hdr works one of the 70 tries when launching the game - that's not very nice, isnt't it? I would like to know which one of those three companies are responsible at providing non capable / disturbed hdr image? I'm paying for windows 10, i'm paying for Amd Radeon graphics card and i'm paying for this Samsung c27hg70 display. And what do i get? A nonetheless gaming experience what every gamer should never get. And yes, i have updated to latest firmware. Do we have to accept that technology is going too fast forward and we humans cant stay on with it? Drivers are late, bugs are everyday. And we are getting marketing about hdr that it's not working. This is so frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 144hz, 1ms,1440p, Hi. I recently bougjt this monitor and it is fantastic. It's only 1 thing that disturbs me and that is freesync. When I have freesync on and are under 100fps in games it flicker pretty much especially in dark scenens. But when I turn off freesync It stops flickering. I was wondering if it is possible for you guys to fix this issue in a new firmware update? I have seen on many forums that many People having issues with this. And by the way I'am using freesync/gsync with an nvidia rtx 2070 but I tested this on my xbox box one with freesync on and it was the same problem Really good monitor overall. But many people+me want you to try fix this issue in the next months or something. Really glad I bought it. :

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish I read the REAL reviews before buying this monitor feels like a crt monitor that came with my packard bell desktop pc in 1997. i paid with bitcoin when i purchased this monitor, it sucks. while this monitor depreciates in value, the bitcoin i used on it is going up in value. i do not recommend, it's overpriced and now i am starting to think i will need to cancel my handful of business contracts and sponsorships i have with samsung because their product quality has declined extensively with each new product release. samsung doesn't read these but i assure you my 25 million followers on youtube, twitch, facebook, twitter, tiktok, and snapchat will read my negative review and as they say, money talks. (best way to get something addressed is hit the other party in the wallet, they will be on your case like white on rice.) -cizz0r

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AVOID ! to be fair, the product looks great when it works. stunning color, clarity & picture. but the actual quality of the unit is sub-par in my experience. it started flickering ,color banding at the 1 year mark . this was used as a gaming monitor heavily on weekends only, and rarely during the weekdays. then the 'repaired' unit power & mainboard went out after only 7 weeks. this 2nd bad unit was a hassle to get back to me. i endured a long wait, multiple more cs agents, no info etc..yet eventually got a repair/ exchange unit back around mid 2019.... now the unit has blown out again.... # 3 time. after about 1 year again of weekend gaming usage. obviously the parts just can not hold up running at it's advertised 144 hz for very long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great visual, switching between sources is easy. Super happy with this monitor, only thing that bugs me is the stand takes up too much space. Tried a desk mount that doesn't fit this model, any recommendations?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead in about 7 months Roughly 7 months after purchase the monitors started showing lots of stripes across the screen -- same issue as all the other negative reviews. If you keep the monitor on, the stripes will eventually disappear. This is not hte quality I expected. Would not recommend buying this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for gaming I bought this monitor nearly 3 years ago and until the 2 year mark, never had an issue. This monitor was NEVER turned off. Im disabled and game about 6 hours a day plus I do research that includes a LOT of video. Color is awesome, longevity is good and the 144hz means no flicker (unless other end of the connection is meh) My ISP has been 150-350Mbps so if the image is bad it has been because of the other end of the connection, not the monitor or my equipment. I run an MSI board with and I7 7700k CPU and twin 1080GTX cards. I've never had this quality of image with any other monitor. The issue after 2years is that the bottom of the monitor is showing fluctuating lines about a half inch high making the start bar unviewable for the first minute of boot up. Even with that being an issue, it didnt occur for 2 years of 24/7/365 of being on. it even went thru 2 moves without a hiccup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major flickering and no signal from display port hi, expecting samsung to be leading manufacturer in displays i got this chg70 monitor to support my gaming pc. major issues: 1. i cannot use 144 hz with amd freesync/hdr, it only caps to 100hz. hdr seems to be a hit and miss making the colors/brightness weird/dim respectively. 2. i thought my screen is faulty but seeing other reviews i see it is a major issue across all the monitors. it takes a long times to go to different sources, often times it won't respond. i have attached a video showing the flickering when i changes wallpaper(one of many instances). i hope samsung can escalate this issue and provide proper customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failed twice Brought this not long after release and started getting the image problems others have reported. Got a warranty repair but it's started again on the new panel. It's now out of warranty. A good feature packed monitor with terrible quality control. And the stand is far too deep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome monitor but hdr seems none functioning Excellent monitor, brilliant Deep colours with great menu system to customise your preferences. 144hz refresh is a standard with Minimal input and response lag. the only issue I can find is the hdr function is none operational running through windows 10 and in games that are supposed to support it. Games look far more impressive and colours are far more vibrant in a standard definition mode. If you find issues in game with ultimate free sync mode with flickering in game, try enabling vsync in Nvidia or ati display options and disable vsync in game seems to solve flickering issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor, showing a little age this monitor has been perfect for gaming and working from home with a little bit of an issue in the last few months. when i start the monitor it often has lines at least along the bottom. sometimes across the whole screen and it takes little time to go away. this is frustrating but once it goes away it performs really well. maybe i got an unfortunate monitor?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor uses PWM, mixed performance The monitor uses low frequency PWM(very fast on and off switching to mimic brightness regulation) instead of direct current voltage regulation. This wouldn't be a problem if samsung didn't lie about this by claiming that it is "Flicker free" when setting the brightness below 100 and taking a picture with a phone reveals that it is a sham all along.(it's flickering like crazy because it uses PWM and obviously causes eye strain in dark light) The picture looks noticeably noisy due to an agressive anti reflection coating and scanlines are visible on solid shades because there is a fairly thick black gap between lines of pixels(taking an up-close zoomed picture of the monitor reveals it) I was quite underwhelmed by the gaming performance too, under low framerate with freesync awful white ghosting appears on moving objects, violent dimming/brightening of the screen ("flicker") appears too whenever a stutter occurs(e.g. games loading). In high framerate conditions purple smearing appears on outlines of moving/rotating objects(for example health bars over enemies in a game). Another problem is the OSD, it is just too poorly explained so each setting has to be thoroughly tested on a test page to understand what it does.(for example setting Contrast above 75 causes clipping, but it isn't written anywhere on the OSD) It is not possible to change brightness of the "fast response time"(strobe) mode(i.e. brightness of the backlight strobes in that mode is fixed, and cannot be changed by any means) There is also a problem when color saturation and contrast are reduced(which i need to do because of the PWM, otherwise it's unbearably bright or the flicker hurts my eyes under prolonged use), it causes subpixels to randomly light up when a dark image is displayed. The colors are inexplicably yellowed whenever the active preset is set to Custom mode, and no user-changeable setting appears to change this. In overall i'm disappointed and do not think it deserves better than a fair or average rating, because it is either a downgrade or the same in all aspects but size and resolution compared to my dying Samsung C24FG70 if we exclude HDR, I expected better... but not this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead Pixel I bought this monitor for Christmas. I had read all of the dead pixel reviews and knew mine would be perfect because almost every piece of electronics my family owns is Samsung. Five days in, two pixels that will turn white, grey, red, yellow, but when black lands on them they turn BRIGHT red. I'll call Samsung but based on the reviews there won't be anything I can do. And that sucks because I am a crazy Samsung activist, or was ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst monitor i ever had. Looks cool, have a ton of features which may or may not work. The issues i had with it. Loosing signal- billion times. Not while gaming, but on loading screen, or just lauching game. Turning freesync on and off sometimes help but if i buy a monitor for this price i want to use all of it's features. Early on i had an issue if the pc was idle for long enough the monitor lost signal and couldn't make it alive again, just after restarting my PC trough remote desktop. OH BTW the build quality is a very cheap. You can only assemble it in it's original box, and there is a weak part on the back which broke in the second i touched it. HDMI min refresh rate is 100hz, so got to use DP. DP port have even more issues, like lines on the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could have been great This monitor could be great, but it's ruined by terrible flickering that occurs when using the FreeSync feature. It has gotten a ton of firmware updates, but it hasn't fixed the flickering. Also, none of the firmware updates has any patch notes. And they have the firmware for both sizes of the monitor (27in and 32in) listed on the Support page for each monitor. And they don't explain which is for which. Also, the Korean version of the Samsung Support website has newer firmware which hasn't been uploaded to the North American or UK website. So we're missing out on important firmware. I've tried to tell Samsung Support but they are completely clueless as always.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful picture works awesome for gaming I've now had this monitor for a few months. Picture is great, no ghosting or any major issues. I use this mainly for FPS with the X1X. I have found 1 single dead pixel on the far right side, it is not noticeable when monitor is being used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Monitor Worst purchase I've ever made. Only way to get low ms to drop all color and brightness. HDR rarely works. Monitor stand is massive. Oh and the monitor needs to warm up 10-15 minutes each time or you'll have tons of vertical purple lines running up and down. Basically same issue everyone else is having. Also I have to send the monitor for repairs which atm with CORVID-19 going i'm prolly not going to see my only monitor for WORK for months. Techs response " cookie cutter im so sorry"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good while it lasted. Ran great for just over 12 months, then found the same issues that most other people who have commented on here have found, blurred horizontal lines appearing across the screen. First they would appear only while it warmed up for the first few weeks, now they do not disappear and am currently in the middle of RMA process. Cannot recommend this product which is disappointing because it was great before the issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be weary, get warranty I got maybe 3 to 4 hundred hours of screen time on my monitor before it quit on me. I have confirmed the external AC/DC converter supplies 22.5 volts, but I have no cords thick enough to test the current. For sanity I tested the monitor with a separate compatible AC/DC converter to no avail. I am convinced the monitor's internal power system does not work anymore. At first the JOG button would bring up incorrect menus verified to be wrong via the manual. Eventually the screen and LED would no longer turn on. When the monitor worked I couldn't have been happier with it. First screen above 60 fps and I had no qualms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't last i have been using this for about one and a half years. it starts to randomly go off recently. have to unplug and wait for a while so it could be turned back to work. it is a disaster for working as the texts never display properly. i am not sure it is the resolution or just the panel. i have a 4k monitor right next to it on the same pc. so the text display quality is quite obvious. the price, to be honest, is overpriced. the monitor is claimed to support hdr. but i never got it to work in hdr. a service request is submitted. see what they say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! it was great for about eight months, and then it started displaying all those vertical lines others have mentioned. samsung is unable to repair this monitor. instead of fixing it, for free under warranty, or providing me with a refurbished one, or providing me with a new one, they offered an ecoupon and kept reducing the amount. originally it was enough to buy a new one, but now it is less than that, and i would have to pay samsung an additional $96 for a replacement monitor that should have been provided by them for free since they could not fix my old one. i will not do this, so i am out of a monitor, and samsung is out another customer. no, i do not recommend this monitor. goodbye samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid This Monitor i had his monitor since 10/12/2017. it was a descent monitor while it lasted. the colors are a little washed out compared to an ips panel. the response time was good. the viewing angles are not so good. after 2 years of using it, it started having lines across the screen. i registered my monitor and was in warranty until 10/12/2020. i tried contacting samsung for a service request but they said it was not covered by the warranty. they stated that the monitor had "physical" damage. the monitor been sitting in the same spot for almost 3 years. poor customer support and it seems that other reviewers are having the same issue. will not be purchasing another samsung monitor again. this happened to both of my monitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay Far Away. i have had this monitor for a total of 3 days. it is beautiful when it works, but like so many others mine suddenly got distorted and filled with lines. i have used it for probably 3-4 hours total in this time. unlike others, mine does not get fixed when its “warmed up”, and power cycling has done nothing to fix the issue. i purchased this monitor over countless others because of the reliability i assiciated with the samsung brand. unfortunately my trust in the brand is now gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Stand and Short Power Cable I bought this last month, I had to return it once because it arrived with a huge crack in the screen. The second one works fine thus far. Performance / usage wise I have no complaints. But external-design wise this thing is awful. The mount is absoluetly massive, it will take up your entire desk for no reason. If you buy this be prepared to shell out additional cash for a aftermarket stand or mount. The power cord is really short, which is compounded by the distance the monitor sits from the stand. The inputs are placed on the bottom of the monitor meaning if you are unable to get behind your monitor it's going to be really hard to plug things in unless you're really good at doing so blindly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from $500 monitor broke after 2 years the monitor began malfunctioning on its own. at first i thought it was the video card and eventually realized it was the monitor. samsung advised that i'd need to pay to get it fixed. i think at $500+, a two year life is unacceptable. given the other reviews, i would avoid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible support three years ago i received this monitor in the mail. on three occasions of headaches i sent it back and forth in the most agonizing support exchanges because of dead pixelation in the corner of the screen. time and time again they resent the same monitor with the same issue. i eventually decided to keep it and deal with their incompetence. now three years later this $800 premium gaming monitor all of a sudden has washed out look that makes it unusable, only after continued plugging in and out of the cords will it occasionally work.. very unacceptable samsung i am a loyal premium customer and your products should hold up better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for gaming, lacking quality and reliability it's actually an excellent monitor for gaming! fast refresh rate, incredible colors, curve is nice. i haven't seen any dead pixels. all that said... almost exactly 2 years after receiving the monitor the vertical lines began appearing, like others have mentioned. only seems to happen when waking from sleep. since the start i noticed that the black uniformity / bleeding made it almost unusable at max brightness in my dark room. i had a previous return in for this issue but figured it wasn't worth my time. now that we have the vertical lines i will be requesting a repair. good thing there is a 3-year warranty. finally, if you're buying this for hdr, look elsewhere. there are few local-dimming zones so the hdr effect is just not great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best gaming monitors I have owned. the monitor works great. very good picture and response times while gaming. the first one i bought had a dead pixel but under warranty, samsung replaced it within a week. the second one i received has had no issues for over a year now. i wish the stand wasn't as intrusive so if you have a small desk it might be an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor until the sleep issue pops up Great monitor, wonderful picture. However, after about a year and a half the monitor begins to exhibit issues waking back up from sleep. The screen will have vertical lines and various artifacts. You can sometimes vaguely see the picture behind the artifacts. Monitor menu using the jog stick is completely non-functional afterwards. Generally 10 or so powercycles will cause the issue to go away. Have checked with support multiple times and no update has addressed the issue. This appears to be a common issue judging from reviews here and elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor overdrive control and too much overshoot I bought this monitor in october, and I'm very happy of the monitor color fidelity and contrast ratio. The big big problem is that overdrive is really poorly managed. The fract is that it's totally impossible to disable it, it's strobing backlight or "Standard" overdrive. And that leads to a lot of overshoot, especially when frequency goes under 120 Hz, and so Freesync is totally unusable. If Samsung would let us disable it or tweak it a little it that would correct all the problems. That's a pretty simple thing to do for them, just a little firmware upgrade that let us disable overdrive WITH and without freesync. But a lot of requests had been sent without any response, so one star is a good rating for the monitor. Paying that price for that is unaceptable. Correcting that and listening the consumers would make me put five stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major Screen Flikering & "Not Optimum Mode" Issues When loading up almost any game games or trying to play games at 1080P the monitor refuses to show anything except a "Not Optimum Mode" logo that bounces around the screen while game audio still plays in the background. I have to force restart my PC.Does not happen on HDMI, just DisplayPort. The screen also flickers a lot when loading up games, changing from dark to light sceens, or pulling up Radeon Overlay. Apparently flickering is not an issue with the 27" model, just the 32" one. I Recommend using HDMI (not DP) and buying the 27" model instead if you are wanting to play games. I do not recommend this 32" model for gaming at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Visual Quality Amazing - Response Above Average I'm coming from the beast of response time monitors, the Asus VG248QE. I've been playing fast paced FPS games for 18 years now and I can say there is a slight difference in response time compared to the Asus (samsung is slower). It is very small, but it is there. However, I'm not fretting over it too much as the improvement in image quality is astounding and the overall size, with the curved screen, leads to a much improved overall experience. And if I am ever feeling the need for that extra 8ms back I can always switch to the Asus when playing games.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I've ever had! I've been using this monitor for a couple months now, so I feel I can give an honest review. The colors are a little more muted than I expected. I expected the colors to be very bright with a high contrast, similar to other gaming monitors, but I find them to be a little more muted, meaning maybe slightly faded looking? This could be seen as a good thing though, as the screen isn't so bright to hurt your eyes after hours of gaming. I was a bit hesitant about the curved screen, as I've never used a curved screen for gaming, but I'll say I find the curve to make the gaming experience more immersive. It's as if you're closer without being physically closer. The colors and brightness I mentioned are miniscule with respect to this monitor as a whole. The picture is crystal clear, and I have zero problems with refresh rate. I look forward to gaming even more when using this screen, and the setup looks very professional. The ONLY thing I wish this screen had that I've seen on other screens is the option to add a hip fire dot in the center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR Pros: Display looks like it would look good if it was manufactured properly. It's big Cons: First unit i received had bad ripples on it in anything that has a gray background so certain games, steam, discord. Second unit i received has less ripples, but looks like a finger or knuckle got dragged on it during manufacturing See Images attached showing the first and second monitor I have received so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price for what it's worth, corners were cut. While this monitor is a great monitor, producing great quality colors for professional use and speed for gaming, you need to be ABSOLUTELY sure that it will be compatible with your PC setup. What I've found: 1) This monitor does NOT come with integrated speakers. I'm not sure if this is common among monitors, but I assumed as all my past monitors have had integrated speakers, this would as well - Nope. Get your own. On the bright side, it does come with a headphone jack, however be careful where your speakers get their power. I have found when plugged directly into the monitor, all of my audio devices produce an annoying, quite noticeable buzzing. 2) HDMI may or may not work. Again, be sure you know this monitor will be compatible with your PC. I'm not tech savvy, but here's my graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X. I also have integrated audio. So not only does HDMI not transmit display at 2560x1440 with 144hz, it doesn't transmit sound. I found it only runs at 1920 60hz still not transmitting sound. 3) You may need to fiddle with your settings to ensure the colors are true. I find this to be the case in almost every review I've read, however this is something I have grown used to. But again, be sure this monitor is compatible with your card. If you don't have a graphics card that can deliver the power this monitor needs to function, you may find your monitor may glitch here and there. My graphics card is quite powerful, however as it stands, it may not have been the best choice for this monitor as I still find it glitches when restarting my computer. Luckily, you can save your settings to the monitor which is a Life Saver! 4) Just invest in a new stand. The stock stand is some boop. Just no. It's large and doesn't swivel far enough for it to even warrant keeping. Just... Garbage. In a nutshell, this is a great monitor for the cost. You get a great gaming monitor with the ability to handle almost true colors and excellent clarity. Not to mention it is excellent for multitasking and is easy on the eyes. Just be sure you get the right graphics card or be prepared to do some fiddling with it to get it to work. Once it's all set up, it works darn near excellent... Minus no speakers... the audacity I swear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you want HDR, stay away from this model I have Windows 10 fully updated and an NVidia 1080 Founders Edition with current drivers. Simply put, this is a beautiful in every regards other than HDR. Unfortunately, I got it for HDR features and am completely disappointed. I'm dissatisfied to the point I truly wish I never got this model. The problem is the HDR display is just awful. Text on a white background is blurred blue, black, and red as if I was trying to read 3D text without the 3D glasses (No, I don't have any 3-D display settings/options enabled in Windows or Nvidia). The white is so bright that it truly hurts my eyes and lowering the brightness just makes the entire picture look worse. With Windows 10 HDR options enabled many of my pictures are grainy and the color representation is abysmal. Many elements colored white become transparent over other elements. For example, my mouse pointer will become transparent when over any windows with exception to its black outline (no, this is not related to the pointer setting "hide mouse when typing"). I've tried loading ICC color profiles and going through the windows color calibration. I have dual monitors, one a 24" LG 1080 gaming monitor and the Samsung C27HG70. The fact is, I'd trade someone for another LG even swap, this monitor is that bad. 100% buyer remorse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could have been great if I didn't get a lemon I bought this monitor a little over a year ago, and it's been an exercise in frustration. From day 1 it had horizontal lines or static intermittently strewn across the screen or as the entire screen. I found that if I use HDMI instead of a Display connector that it lessened the issue, and I was very hesitant to send it in to samsung for repair, be out a monitor for a month, and potentially have them send it back still broken because it "seemed fine" for them. I've used two other monitors using the same ports in my GTX 1080 video card with no issue. The major problem is the issue has just gotten worse over time, and it's now showing lines every single time my computer comes out of sleep for a while before they seem to go away. I feel like I spent $650 on a monitor I'll only be able to use a little while longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dead pixels Everything was nice, even the box, but when I started it up there was a group of dead pixels. I think a company as big as samsung should take more care in the quality testing before they ship out. I am getting a replacement and hoping this doesnt happen again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Monitor Colors pop better than any other monitor I have ever seen. The contrast is great. 144 Hz refresh rate makes a big difference over 60 Hz panels in how smooth game play is. NO dead/stuck pixels. This monitor will get brighter than any other monitor I have ever owned. Text is sharp and easy to read. I have only had this for two days but so far I am very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good picture, terrible stand I just received this yesterday, so my experience is somewhat limited. This monitor is huge! I'm upgrading from a 23" Samsung from several years ago, and the size difference is much more than I expected. The picture is very good, although it takes some tweaking. The out of the box settings provided an extremely bright image that hurt my eyes. Turning the "Response Time" setting to Faster or Fastest helps a lot with the screen brightness. The image is great, and I'm enjoying the extra screen real estate from the higher resolution. My biggest problem with this monitor is the stand. The stand takes up a massive amount of space on my desk, and extends several inches behind the monitor, so I can't put the monitor flush against the wall. This is more than just a space problem, it also means that I'm sitting too close to my monitor now. Samsung needs to ship this with a low-profile stand that takes up an inch of space or less behind it, otherwise why am I even buying a flat panel monitor?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big gamble that I lost on. Bought this monitor Thonking it would be awesome HDR rich and a step up from the LG I had. Sadly the HDR hasn't worked in game since I got it, even resets won't kick it in gear. The worst is the terrible back lighthot spots. I have seen some pretty consistent monitor back lighting and this is the worst I have ever had ever. I suffer needing to send this back in because I know it'll take 3 weeks at my cost and I'll probably get another lemon. My suggestion is pass on it if your looking for HDR and even backlighting. However if your after very cartoon overwatch graphics use it in SDR with nvidia DV at 55%. Thanks samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great preformance! and overpriced :/ this monitor will meet every spec you see, expect some are fitted with 4K pannels because the factory ran out of 2K pannels to put in them, wish they would unlock the 4k capability in the firmware though. anyway that's what contributes to the high price here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from almost perfect for xbox one x It supports xbox 4k, 1440, 1080, and 720 resolution. Yes I know this is not a 4k monitor, but I am able to select 4k on the xbox. This monitor would be perfect if the monitor and xbox would work better together. By this I mean you have to play around with the settings to get the monitor and the xbox to 120 Hz. I played on my LG oled tv (great picture quality, but bad for gaming battle royal games) but this monitor is my favorite way to play now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gaming Its been probably nearly 10 years since I bought my last Samsung monitor, and this monitor makes me remember why I pay a bit extra for this brand. This thing is nothing short of excellent. I had a friend over to play a bit with Assassins Creed Odyssey, and he was stunned that it was only 2k. The level of detail in games is incredible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance I bought this for PC gaming, and it hasn't disappointed. With my pc I sit around 250 fps in games like fortnite BR with the settings all the way up. The color is great, you can actually see blacks and go into caves without being blind. The picture is incredibly vivid and frankly this many hz is necessary for PC shooters. The main place I notice it is flicking to someone behind me, but whenever you move the screen a lot you'll notice it. The backlighting is pretty weak, it's a nice feature but it doesn't really show up. The display is so bright that I frankly don't notice it when gaming and still turn the lights on at night. This monitor is larger than most professional fps gamers use. This does make for larger images and a more immersive experience but it also means you're looking at more real estate to see things like notification or a shooter on the side of your screen. It's size does not impact performance. I don't generally like curved monitors but when you're sitting in the perfect spot all the time it's noticeably more immersive. I don't know if I'd try a TV that's curved as people watch from different positions but it's perfect for a monitor. Notice all of the 1 star reviews are about quality control (which frankly doesn't help show the performance of a working monitor, and is hugely in the minority for this monitor as well.( There's something about a samsung monitor and this one is no exception.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tech in a monitor, but got some issues. It's a cool monitor for a pretty high price. Yes, it's a fast gaming monitor, so be sure you have a good hardware (GTX 1080 is not enough to have a nice gaming experience). And yeah, the stand of the monitor really takes a lot of space on the table, and this space is wasted because of the shape. The backlight of monitor is kinda useless, I don't really understand this idea, it's too low to be a kind of ambient lightning and have only one color, nearly to 5500k white. It comes with heavily outdated windows software, that was deleted asap as I checked that it can do almost nothing. In every single game that I played I had to have HDR option off because it ruins the colorscheme (BF II, ME: Andromeda) or simply goes black (Far Cry 5, Wolfenstein II). Same goes to windows, when you turn on the HDR it goes off to colours completly. When you turn on some features on monitor, it lowers the maximum brightness (FreeSync cannot be turned on with Fastest Response Time) and it works not so obvious. Other interface in monitor works good, and it's easy to navigate with help of a 4-pos joystick on the back side of the monitor. I think that this product should come with a good software or for a lower price, but othen than that, it's a great gaming device that I would recommend to my friends and collegues. There are not a lot of monitors with this size and this resolution, but it worth it to have 2k on 27" because pixel looks very small and picture looks good and smooth. Add to this a 144hz and 1ms response time on a good colourfull matrix and viola - you got almost the best monitor on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gaming monitor I tried this monitor for 2 weeks and it's amazing within performance and quality. The only thing holding me from buy it is that is not g-sync capable, but hopefully the new version CHG75 is about to come out anytime soon, hurry up Samsung. What I have notice is that for gaming after 27 inch the monitors have to be curved otherwise the eyes get fatigue very quick rolling all other the screen, this model accomplished all in one package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DEAD PIXELS! I originallly bought this monitor about two weeks ago and right out the box it had dead pixels. I requested a return. And went ahead and order another one thinking it would be in complete satisfactory working condition for the price you pay. But I’ll have to say that was not the case. When the second monitor arrived, I tried setting it up and low and behold, more dead pixels and would only allow 720p. I will be returning this monitor too. I don’t plan on purchasing another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insane quality for the price This monitor has insane color accuracy really close to IPS and very deep blacks. I compared it to my old 1080p TN panel and the old one looks so washed out and weird brightness. No dead or stuck pixels whatsoever I ran a few tests on it, mine came with very warm colors I just set it to 7500K on Radeon settings and everything looks normal with really pure whites. Also this support 10 bit color!! Forget those banding you get on 8 bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defective Feature? Hello all, The main source of my digital entertainment comes from my Xbox One X. In July of 2017, I bought the new Samsung 32" CHG70 Gaming Monitor with Quantum Dot and at the time an Xbox One S. I dont know if the monitor has always been like this but one day while watching a TV show on Netflix, I noticed the screen lighting was very dark but I didnt know if it was always like that or if it had just happened before my eyes. I went into the settings and upon doing so the screen turned off for a second (which I think is for the HDR to deactivate) and then the lighting was back to normal and looked normal. When you go into an app or game thats supports HDR, the TV recognizes it, activates HDR and then BOOM, dimmed screen. So I go into settings, turn off "Allow HDR". Lighting is fixed across all games and apps but then there is no HDR. Side Note: Sometimes in that second of the screen flickering on/off to activate the HDR, there is a split second where the lighting is normal, the HDR is activated, it looks so perfect and so Vibrant and then it goes all dark. Also I now have an Xbox One X and these problems still occur. Is my monitor defective?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbeatable monitor, really happy with it! Nothing else came close in terms of contrast, picture quality, response times, resolution, and refresh rate. The only drawback would be the GIANT stand, but it's great when mounted on a VESA mount. I'll be buying another one, and my friends want 2 each as well!
