Rated 5 out of 5 by from Abysmal quality control My drive arrived in a factory sealed box with the anti-theft stickers seemingly intact. Unfortunately, the quality control at Samsung was so poor there was no drive in my $400 box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not sure what's wrong. I bought this a few days ago to replace my 1TB HDD. I downloaded the Data Migration tool and cloned the drive to the new SSD. I'm only using 236 GB. But when I bench tested with the Samsung Magician, it shows only 815 MB/s Read and 790 MB/s Write. Far below what it's advertised as. Not sure what's wrong. At least it's faster than the HDD. The Diagnostic Scan in Magician says this drive does not support it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! Super fast, convenient, and simple! Nvme drives offer amazing speeds. Windows and my games load up super fast. Installing is even easier than a sata ssd, no power or data cable needed, just plug it in and screw it in. Overall an amzing ssd for the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Fast, Super Unreliable, Un-super cust svc purchased the ssd 970 evo nvme m.2 2tb november 2018. it was blazing fast even when compared to my prior 2.5” ssd. september 2020, 22 months after build, system starts becoming unstable and crashing. windows logs show numerous bad blocks on drive. i launch the current version of samsung disk magician which reports the drive health as fair and shows total bytes written (tbw) as 10.1. during back up of data, disk crashes and no longer able to boot to windows. neither windows install disk or imaging software will load recovery image. the drive warranty is 5 years or 1,200 tbw. i only have 10 tbw! i call customer support for warranty claim or rma. the representative told me warranty was only 12 months and only covered by warranty if purchased directly through samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fast! I have four of 1TB drives configured in RAID 0 on a PCI card for video editing and the read and write speeds are incredible. The response is instantaneous and I can playback any resolution file up to 12K at 60FPS or higher. Excellent drives!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely best bang for your buck! i have had this drive for about a year and a half now... i had it for about 3 months and then i kinda messed it up in the bios. still dont know what happened. it started making hdd noises and killed itself when booting back into windows. sent it off to samsung for a repair and it has worked like nothing ever happened! 15/10 would recommend!

The speed and reliability cant be beat. My new PC build is blazing thru everything I put on it. Windows loads super fast and my games are showing no lag in loading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best SSD I've owned! Hands down best SSD I've ever owned. Upgraded from a 850 Evo 2.5 SSD to this was a huge improvement. Not only storage size, 500GB to 1GB, but also the read/write speeds are in the upwards of over 2GB/S! I definitely will stick with Samsung for my next SSD/NVMe purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failing Trend 3 Dell PC's with this Samsung 970 EVO NVMe ® M.2 SSD 1TB have went faulty. We have more PC's with this same M.2 SSD. This is a Trend which means an investigation. We suspect by others reviews there is a Samsung Design flaw with this particular model.
