Make sure your download the Samsung Magician and select all the available performance optimizations to harness the full power of this hard drive. Very happy and makes my video editing on Adobe Premier and my streams on Wirecast that much better. I feel I have great reliability, stability, and performance with the Samsung name at the helm of my data storage and transfer. Super happy customer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung SSD at a discounted price I needed fast and large capacity storage drive for my gaming PC. I found that Samsung 870 QVO SSD is perfect for my need. Setup/installation was quick and easy; just plug it in, and do a quick format; That's it. Easy. I have Samsung's 970 NVMe SSD as my primary storage to run Windows OS, and setup this QVO SSD as a game drive. As many benchmark tests show, game loading time between NVMe and SATA SSD's is only negligible difference. I actually tested loading time for MS Flight Simulator 2020. and it took me about 2 minutes and 2 seconds with Samsung 870 QVO SSD. I noticed my main drive (NVMe) takes bit less (6 seconds). However, considering QVO drive costs significantly less, I have no complain on its performance. I am actually very happy about the result. I highly recommend this product to anyone need faster storage at a reasonable price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge performance gain We purchased the 1 TB Samsung 870 QVO SATA III drive to use in our xBox 1x gaming system. To say there are avid gamers in our house would be an understatement, so drive speed is a huge deal here! This drive didn't disappoint. We didn't use a stopwatch, but we did have a friend bring over his xBox 1x and we compared loading speed and performance. It wasn't hard to figure out who the clear winner was. The xBox with the new SSD drive beat the pants off our friend's xBox, both in game loading and game performance. He's now a believer in this drive and is going to get one for his gaming system. If you want to increase your game loading and performance, this drive is a sure winner. We wouldn't, and didn't, hesitate to recommend this drive to anyone who wants a performance boost. We are really happy with this drive. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion! Giving this five stars was the easy part!

I love Samsung 870 QVO SATA III. It has been four days I installed and moved my old hard drive operating system. Works great and it's been fantastic experience. Aesthetics & build quality, Higher-than-average QLC flash endurance ratings AES 256-bit encryption, Improved read performance and Software suite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade for my xbox 1x I got this drive to upgrade the internal storage in my xbox 1x. After removing the internal drive and doing the clone I reinstalled the drive into the xbox. I then took a friends 1x unit and we loaded the same games on both systems and checked the loading speeds. Most of the games loaded onto the internal drive had at least a 50% cut in startup loading speeds for the game and even larger speed increases on in game loading speeds. I would highly recommend this drive for anyone wanting to increase in speeds for their game consoles or gaming computers. This is an excellent SSD drive.

I swapped my HD on my laptop which I use daily and immediately noticed a difference. I went from a 10-15min start-up time to 15-20 seconds. The boot on the SSD was so fast, I was unable to go into my BIOS the first few times, I had to change the boot process for me to access BIOS. This thing is unbelievable and has changed my life for the better. I can't go back to using a regular hard drive anymore. This is it. This one is a game changer. *I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion!*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speed Freak Wow this thing is fast. I updated an aging computer and what a difference this drive makes. It use to take forever just to boot up into Windows and now it is lightning fast. I expected it to be faster but I had no idea it would be this fast. Opening apps and playing games were also significantly faster. I don't know why it took me so long to upgrade to a SSD but I am so glad that I did. The install was quick and easy and I was using my "new" pc within a couple of hours. I say "new" because it really does feel like a new computer now, heck it feels better than it did when it was new. I tried a lot of different apps too because I kept thinking that there was no way that one simple upgrade could have that much impact, but it definitely does. And being a 1TB drive it had plenty of space to install all my most used apps and games. This was definitely the best and easiest upgrade I have done on a computer and the results were instantly noticeable.

I figured it was another of his tech upgrades that wouldn't really make much of difference to me but it has really breathed new life in my laptop. It starts up so much faster and I no longer have to wait for apps to open or even switching between apps. This is one technological upgrade that I would recommend to anyone. This is amazing and has really made a noticeable difference in an older laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge upgrade! I replaced my hard drive from a 5 year old notebook and made it usable again! The drive is very fast and significantly reduced loading times! Installation was a breeze. I just had to take off the bottom cover off my laptop, remove 1 screw and swap the drive. If you'll be using it as your primary drive, make sure to install an OS on there first otherwise you won't be able to boot from it. If you need additional storage and your notebook still has an optical drive, that can be removed to install a second SSD in that bay. I wasnt able to get read/write speeds that are advertised on the box but it was still a significant upgrade and revived my old machine. SSD's are known to be more durable then the conventional hard disk drive so I'm hoping durability is not an issue. Only the test of time will tell! So far, I'm very happy with the Samsung Ssd and would recommend it.

After swapping in the new SSD and installing the OS, I noticed the bootup time was extremely fast! This is a much better performance than the original drive I had that took about a minute to bootup from. To test out the transfer rate I copied a 2GB file and it took less than five seconds! As a gamer, load times are extremely fast and is a breath of fresh air. This drive is a definite must for those who are looking to upgrade their rig. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion!

All I had to do was install it into the computer and Windows 10 was able to see it right away. We are currently using this for a computer that we run intensive graphics and design programs on. So far it has been great. Since I have had the device I have tried it in several computers and not a one has had an issue seeing the device and allowing use. It works great as a usb connected transfer device too. I will need to pick up some more to upgrade devices.

The installation was simple plug and play solution took me all of five minutes to install and format. The load times are lightning fast especially when comparing to my current HDD. At this price point there is not a better SSD on the market.

The impressive spec are on point for most gamers. I have this one installed in a clear enclosed housing adapter that allows for USB plug and play option. I have formatted it for use on our gaming console, moved our higher storage hungry games onto the samsung ssd , the load times are considerably faster loading and during game play as well. The read /write speeds are 560 MBps (read) / 530 MBps (write), pretty impressive. We now have 2 of these ordered that are 4tb and 8tb options. These are great additions to pcs, gaming consoles, backup storage for photos and videos on your phone, laptop,tablet and etc. This is Xmas gifts for all my gaming colleagues. Looks great in the clear encasememt too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DEFINITION OF AN UPGRADE have to say that this really increased the value of my laptop. the factory 1tb wd blue hdd that came inside of the 2017 hp pavilion i got was already showing it's lack of keeping up with the times especially with updates that microsoft comes out with that we as pc windows users know can be problematic. the read and write times are sufficient for me. then coupled with the g-skill 16gb of ram makes this pc now decent enough to play games on. the consistency is there as well as i have an older version of this internal ssd series, the 860, inside a windows 7 hp laptop, and so far same experience. the hardware inside both of the systems fits in line with the current product i have in terms of speed and performance (s10e, ps5).

I've connected it portably as well as within my desktop to see the difference. It was very neglible What would have been better: 1- Having all of the datacords in one place instead of ordering them. Overall this small lightweight SSD is perfect for anyone looking to expand their space permanently that is lightweight and fast. We were intending to replace our hard drive and were looking at couple of options and thankfully were selected for this campaign. Performance is great and data transfer is as advertised. Easy to install, plug and use. Clone took 1:31 to complete from 5400 rpm HDD, using Samsung SSD data transfer so that was great as well

I now maintain at present 30+ different ISO imaged which I can boot a server with while building them out! adn there is more ... I created a bootable Windows 10 image by copying over its VHD so I can brign a system up in Windows when all else has failed. I watched a 5.7GB ISO come through in less than 45 seconds, I couldn't ask for more.

As a Mom, full time worker, and President of a non profit event business, my computer needs to have the capability of working quickly when accessing data and have plenty of space for all the different areas of my life.1 TB is the perfect size to help keep the organization of the different versions of me while still allowing me to have space to play games and relax. My computer has had issues where it freezes for 2 -5 seconds whenever it was accessing it's current hard drive. After I added the Samsung 870 QVO 1 TB SSD the change in the multi-tasking speeds for my PC were very noticeable! I was worried that it would not be compatible with my computer, as I must admit, it is a bit behind on times and I have had problems with past drives being difficult to install. This drive was easy to integrate into my system and was easy to install right out of the box. I recommend this drive to users who are looking to add onto their system and help with some multitasking events.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly very fast SSD in the market When I first open the box and saw the SSD I was amazed for how lite it is and casing is very neat and feel like the case is made with aluminum. My original plan was to use this as my extra drive for my laptop but I didn’t realize till later that this is not a compatible size for it. Most of the latest laptop uses the slimmer version of ssd “like literally smaller than your used to be 2.5” ssd”. So huh, I ended up using this as my backup hard drive, which is not really a bad idea. Installation process is very easy. To make this as a backup HD I have to buy a very good enclosure for this. You have to get the best one to benefit the best performance of this SSD. And to my surprise, this SSD is super fast! I’m completely now a fan! I transferred a 2gb worth of file and it only took like 5secs or even maybe less! This is definitely going to be my backup drive now! But! We have a PS4 as well that I have been wanting to upgrade so I decided to give it a shot. Of course as I expected, it loaded the games way faster than it used to! The wait times significantly dropped and everything is just running smoothly! The gaming experience feels like it rose significantly, it feels like we upgraded our console to a different level just because of the SSD! As curiosity grew larger, we now decided to try it as the bootable hard drive for our PC. And from there point, we decided that we should get another two for our PS4 and for my personal use of my photography storage. I’m pretty sure there’s more SSD out there in the market, but the price range for this is more affordable and Samsung stands for their product.

This SSD took my lenovo laptops boot time from 2 minutes to 10 seconds. There is no write time, it's just saved, there's no boot time, whatever you want is booted. If fast is what you're looking for, look elsewhere, if lightning isn't fast enough, this is your SSD. After installing this I've bought 3 more, it's that good. Do not hesitate! I just bought a digital photoshoot session I had for my daughter- 132 pics (25M) uploaded in no time! I love that I can back up such precious memories in this digital age!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast SSD I purchased this SSD for data backup, and I had an NVMe SSD on my laptop. But, I would like to have a 2nd SSD to store my media data. This SSD is a perfect choice for this requirement. This SSD didn't come with any accessories. When I opened the box, I only see the SSD and user guide. The installation is straightforward, removes the back cover of the laptop, and connected the SATA connector. This SSD is using QLC NAND, and the QLC can store 4 bits pre-cell. You can store more data in the NAND cells, but that will also increase the write bottleneck. You can buffer with SLC or DRAM to improve performance. In my test, read speed is very close to 560MB/s (spec. throughput), but write speed is only 507MB/s (lower than spec.). The major limitation is from the SATAIII interface, but it meets my requirement. Samsung offers 3 years warranty for this product. Overall, SATAIII may max out sequential performance, but Samsung found a way to improve Random 4K performance. If your laptop only has SATA III interface, this SSD will still improve your performance.

We used ours for our kids gaming console that only had hard drive , Let me tell you, the load times are 50% faster if not more. Looks great sitting beside the console too. Not only are these good for laptops and pcs, but we purchased a case for it so it now can be used on any USB device, or as a standalone ssd for gaming consoles. Will be purchasing more for tv storage, gaming storage and photo storage. Never have enough saved photos.

I didn’t install it myself I took it to a local shop to have installed, only took a few hours and I was back in business. Excited that this SSD is compatible with my MacBook and now load up times are extremely faster and the capacity is 4 times greater! This upgrade allows me to be able to complete system updates without having to worry about not having enough memory. Need to add one of these to my son’s PS4!

To be honest I was a bit skeptical that this would help my 6 year old laptop. I have to admit this made a big difference. I have 2 of these laptops running Zorin OS and the responsiveness this has brought to my laptop was huge. I still have to upgrade the RAM and Wireless card. I would definitely recommend this easy upgrade to an old laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Multi-tasking As a mom of 3 who works full time both from home and at the office, plus designing as a hobby/side job, I look for speed and reliability in a hard drive. My laptop takes a dual hard drives so I was able to upgrade my storage side to this SSD from the standard and the difference is amazing! I can access my files and save than before. The box comes with just the hard drive itself and no cords which isn't an issue if you are replacing an SSD in a laptop, but if you are upgrading an hdd in a desktop to this one you will need to get a cage for it. I do use multiple programs at once for work including large files for photoshop so the SSD speed has improved my productivity as I'm not waiting anywhere near as long for files to load.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just About Perfect i am so impressed with the samsung ssd line that i now have five of these running in two different pcs. the price, performance, and reliability have been exceptional. my only recommendation is minor and that would be to include 4 mounting screws in the package. if you happen to not have any handy the installation just grinds to a halt if you are mounting them in a caddy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Upgrade! This drive is great! Easy installation and a major upgrade for anyone still using an older style hard drive. My OS boots in a fraction of the time and video games load much faster than before. In the past I have used SSDs which were much smaller and I had to sacrifice storage space for the performance boost but this one is huge at a whole terabyte you get the best of both worlds. One thing I would like to note is that the drive does not come with a SATA cable so if you plan on using along side your old drive and don't have a spare cable lying around you may want to purchase another one separately. Another thing I would like to add is that if you are installing this in a desk top PC and it does not have a SSD mounting chassis you may also want to buy a SSD mounting bracket separately to fit inside the HD mounting chassis for a secure mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really impressed! I am not super tech savvy, however it was extremely easy to install. There was an immediate increase in the speed. We have a fast internet connection but certain sites would still take forever to load. This really made a difference in how quickly we were able to get things done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The fastest SSD I have used I am in the process of building a gaming computer. I knew that I would need a fast and dependable SSD drive for memory storage. I am so happy I got the opportunity to try this SSD. It suit's my needs exactly how I needed it. and being that it is a 1TB SSD, it will store a lot more games than the 250 GB I was going to purchase.

I purchased this SSD to improve the overall speed of my daily workflow, and I was happily surprised to see how Extremally Fast and efficient it has improved my overall daily workflow on my computer. I would highly recommend this item to anyone who is looking to improve the overall speed on their computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Samsung Product I have Ever Bought im seeing aja system performance tester lite 12.4.3 write & read speeds of 28mb/s & 492mb/s. yes u read that correctly 28 mb/s (twenty-eight) write speeds. this is my 1st qvo product (i have about 4 samsung evo ssds all older & working fine). i do not want any qvo product after this experience & will never buy or recommend that any of my followers ever buy a qvo product. i will strongly recommend the evo product. i would like to replace this qvo with an evo. will gladly pay the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ease This SSD made it so simple to do the tasks at hand. I was able to walk my daughter with minimal effort on the install into a MacBook Pro. After install, she was blown away on the performance increase. Load times and file transfers tripled. Compared to other brands that I have used the pricing is very competitive. and out of the box, this puppy screamed. we tested it in the mentioned Macbook a Rasberry pi and also in a desktop format. each application provided ample speed and ease. It is interesting how something so lightweight and small can alter the performance of these machines in such a manner. The actual storage of the device is astonishing as well. Now we have twice the storage we previously had and so much more speed. No more excuses for taking long on school assignments or even having to transfer photos and video files like before.
