The Pure Storage DirectFlash Module is a Pure-designed flash module which connects raw flash directly to the FlashArray via NVMe. It does not require a flash controller or flash translation layer in the DFM, removing the per-SSD over-provisioning and performance roadblocks that exist. This 63 TB module makes available raw flash visible to, and usable by, the system-level software.
