Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case Great case but I wish it protected a little more. The edges are not raised very high, I already dropped it one time and it broke my screen protector. And I wish it covered the charging port. I wanted something smaller than the commuter. It’s very slippery in your hands too. But will all that I have always loved otterbox. I just think I made the wrong choice for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way too slippery For years I’ve been using Defender cases and wanted to try something different. Huge mistake. This case is all slippery hard plastic with no rubber try and help with grip. I tried to contact customer service but there was no way to contact for several days. I finally just gave up and ordered a different case and had it rush shipped. Disappointed doesn’t even describe how I felt about this case and inability to contact anybody.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed but will keep it I bought this case directly from Ottobox because it said for iPhone 13 Pro Max. It arrived before the phone. The box has a sticker ‘for iPhone 13 Pro Max‘ but appears to be placed over what I am assuming is 12 Pro Max. The case was difficult to get on and extremely tight to the point I may never be able to remove it. I had the symmetry case for my iPhone 11 and it didn’t fit this tight. I’m guessing this case is supposed to be compatible with 12 and 13 but not buying that explanation. I recommend waiting to see if OB redesigns this for 13 Pro Max.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality has seemed to fail lately I’ve had great cases from Otterbox in the past but since buying this one for the 13 Pro Max, I’ve found it’s not the quality I’m used to. To be detailed the lips at the bottom are in even and warped and the phone is not a snug fit. To spend over 50 dollars for this lack of quality is disrespectful to me as customer. I’ll return tomorrow and see what other brands works best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for iPhone 13 pro max This case does not work for the iPhone 13 pro max. It says on the box for the iPhone 13 pro max and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 13 pro max is thicker than the 12 pro max and I hope that companies catch on to this when making cases going forward. The iPhone 13 pro max and iPhone 12 Pro Max can use the same case and this seems like a waste of money and false advertisement. Hopefully they fix this going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Rubber Components Have had multiple OtterBox's over the years. They have all been great until this one. In a little over a year a rubber portion has lost it's shape as others have noted. For me it's at the volume buttons/silence button thus exposing about an inch of the edge of my IPhone 13 Pro Max. Certainly not a good thing. Considered a warranty replacement, but don't believe one should pay even a penny for replacing a defective product yet they want $9.99 plus tax. For now I gather I will live with it until it gets much worse unless and until OtterBox contacts me to help via the email attached to my review. I tried earlier, but they were closed for the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DOES NOT fit the 13 pro max correctly! I loved the color of the case however, it did not fit my 13 pro max correctly. You could still see the gold on the sides of my phone with the case on. The bottom of it was loose as if it had been worn before. Definitely disappointed. I waited a week for this case just to be let down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing. I only use Otterbox cases in all my iPhones. I desired to purchase the Symmetry for its minimalist design and amazing protections. I’ve had the case for under a year and the rubber lining has already become somewhat “floppy”. My phone is well protected but the case itself is unappealing compared to other Otterbox cases I’ve purchased in the past. Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same issue but Otterbox should definitely look in to this issue for future models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handling a melting ice cube I love the coverage from any drops, but the case is extremely slick when handling. I figure it has something the anti-microbial coating/feature. I would buy another type of otterbox, but not this kind. A rubberized texture on the edges of the case would solve the problem.

I have unfortunately dropped my phone from my pocket, bed, and table a few times over that past year and the case has prevented damage. But it has its flaws. The rubber part has now separated from the hard plastic after normal use of 8-9 months which is not acceptable and Otterbox charges $10 to get a replacement for a defective product that should last years. Also, it's quite heavy and bulky which I am not a big fan of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This does not fit the 13 pro max.. I bought this case from the official website and it clearly said for the 13 pro max. I received the package and it said "For the 12 and 13 pro max" on the package. the issue is that the 13 pro max is a bit thicker this year to accommodate more battery. instead of making a new case otterbox figured it would just ship last years case with an updated package.. needless to say im dissapointed and will likely not buy another otterbox product. i always assumed these guys took making cases seriously but not knowing a new phone is different dimensions than the old phone is pretty crazy. i reached out to otterbox and they told me that i need to pay to ship it back to them.. pretty great!

Not sure if this was a manufacturing error but I wouldn’t buy this case again. I was going to return it but Otterbox wants me to pay shipping and handling for their mistake. What a great company !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rough edges on plastic The plastic that forms the face "lip" has a hard edge to it and where it transitions around the speaker/mic/ charging port that seems to be sharper than it should be. It digs into my finger as I try to use my phone with one hand. This case is nowhere near as comfortable as the other Otterbox I had on my previous iPhone.

Also the surface of the bottom of the case is too hard and slick. When the phone lands on the table it’s too hard of a shock and slick. Slides into and out of pockets well but slides off table too easily. Needs rubber dots on the corners to soften the blow and add modest grip. Depends on what you want

I may return it for a case with a softer edge at the bottom.

For years otterbox didn’t make a nice blue color like this for the phones I had but the navy blue is my favorite and I hope the keep making it. Make sure they get a case that supports MagSafe! Shipping was fast and free. My only complaint is $60 for a piece of plastic is obnoxious but it’s not really that much more than other premium cases. Once they hit $70 I’m starting my own case company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otterbox what happened. Getting otterbox since I had an iPhone 6. I upgrade every year and it’s gotten to the point that the cases don’t even last a year. The quality control of these products have gone down so badly that you guys can’t even catch print mistakes on the packaging. As a other reviewer stated it says 12 pro max. In my case the case fits it’s just a misprint. Also such a lack in options and colors. Pink. Dark blue. Or basic black. Idk. It does the job for now but extremely over priced ($CAD. I used to recommend this product but now I have people complaining to me that they will never again use them. Really sad. (P.s. the MagSafe back fell out of my iPhone 12 Pro Max case 4 months in. Literally the back split with a giant hole exposing the phone. Just froze wear and tear.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just doesn’t fit right on 13 pro max This used to be my go to case. It’s made for the 12 and 13 pro max. Unfortunately the 13 is slightly thicker than the 12 so on the 13 it just doesn’t fit perfect. The edges of the case do not cover the steel rim that is is visible on front of the phone. It fits perfect on the 12 with the exception being the camera cutout is too big. They should have made two different cases as the two phones are similar in size but not the same. Disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iPhone 12 Pro Max Symmetry Plus Camo cover I purchased the iPhone 12 Pro Max Symmetry Plus Camo cover for my phone so I could use the Apple MagSafe charger. I was happy to find the Camo design, as this is what I had previously, but that cover did not work with the MagSafe charger. I am happy to say that it works perfectly, and the orange buttons make it easier to locate them at a glance. This is a definite recommendation for the MagSafe alternative cover.

It has fallen out of the case the buttons on the case stick out I can actually see through to the buttons on the phone. So disappointed in the product.

The defender is too bulky and the symmetry is not bulky at all. The lip on the case for the camera is good. I have a spigen screen protector. I wish the lip on the case for the screen was a little higher for better protection. The buttons and the cutouts on the case are good. The case is smooth and feels great in my hand. I am satisfied with my purchase and recommend it.

It is slim, but solid and protects the phone extremely well. It was easily installed and the cutouts are accurate. I would highly recommend this case to anyone.

The amount of times I thought my phone was done for is crazy, the protection this case provides is incredible !! That being said , I highly recommend this product for ALL clumsy MEN like myself !! Rated 5 out of 5 by from So disappointed I got this for my husband as the first otter box case that he had was an otter+ pop one left over from when it was my phone; he wanted to switch because obviously it was a little girly for his taste. The old one was a fantastic case though; he works construction so his phone has taken some tumbles and didn’t have so much as a scratch on it. Well, fast forward to the very day he got this one. It took a normal tumble from a low height and the back camera shattered. The very next day, another minimal tumble. His entire screen AND the back of the phone are totaled. I can’t even put into words how disappointed I am. It feels like this case is only to prevent scratches? Because it DEFINITELY cannot handle drops. If I could give this zero stars, I would.

For $60 I wouldn’t trust this case to protect my phone from a hard drop. I can still see parts of my phone that I shouldn’t. This should be a $20 case not a $60 case.

I was driving today and forgot my phone on the hood of my car and it flew off while I was going 70, and I watched it get kicked out from under my tire and tumble down the road. I had very little hope my phone would be in one piece, but when I grabbed it my screen saver wasn’t any more cracked then it was and my case was just slightly beat up but completely functional.

I love that it fits well and protects without adding a lot of bulk. The Mag Safe works great and holds my accessories wonderfully.
