With the new, flat sides of the latest iPhones I’m finding most cases have a super obnoxious lip to them; whereas this one has just enough lip to protect the screen but will not wear off the tip of your thumb. The moonwalker graphic color looks great on the white iPhone. Very pleased with the case.

It is too thick for the magnets to firmly lid on to the new MagSafe charger from Apple. The first fill of any product that I bought from OtterBox. In the past they’ve worked with Apple more closely. I am disappointed with this product deeply, especially since it’s from Otterbox, my favorite company for iPhone accessories.

Dropped my phone into water accidentally just days after putting in new case. It survived but water did get in the charging port. Fortunately it dried overnight. Everywhere else the case was air tight and kept the water out for the few seconds it took me to retrieve it.

The clear case allows the phones natural beauty to shine while ensuring it stays in perfect condition. These are the best. It is a challenge to remove it once it is on (had to do this to apply the separately purchased screen protector, but that is good. It provide significant edge protection and has a nice lip around the glass surface. It is a little pricey.

To be honest, my iPhone 12 is wearing a different case because this one is SO HARD to get on... and that I’m pressing so hard on my phone to get it on, that I can’t because I’m so afraid I’m gonna crack the screen from pressure! I can’t get it on :(. However... my sister has the same phone and case... she said it was extremely difficult to get it on, and she can’t get it off now LOL. But it looks good, and it’s protected her phone. I guess at the end of the day, that’s the whole point. But, beware! It’s hard to get on and off.

It seems to protect the phone well while being pretty light and sliding in and out of my pocket easily, Only con is that the clear case (which I wanted because my new phone is red shows scratches pretty easily. Guess the purpose is to scratch the case instead of the phone, but one of the reasons I shelled out the bucks for an Otterbox is that I’m used to them lasting as long as the phone does. If aesthetics eventually make me replace this one, I’ll probably do it with something less expensive.

I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to put on the case without cracking my iPhone. And I have no clue how to take it off.. The case on the iPhone is good, it doesn't feel as protective as Otterbox's other cases, but I understand it is the symmetry version. Next time, I will not be buying this case, I will stick with my usual Defender Otterbox.

It has definitely protected my phone though. If you don’t care about it turning colors it’s a good case.

I have had to take it off and it fits snug, but it is still easy to get off. The best part for me is the ease of pushing the side buttons. I had another Otterbox symmetry that was difficult to use the side buttons. This allows the buttons to be used without having to push several times. This case is sturdy and very well made. I have not had any yellowing of the cover. I only buy Otterbox because of their quality and durability. The symmetry series allows my phone to fit nicely into a pocket or purse without being bulky. It protects my phone very well. I have dropped my phone on concrete and tile floors and it is safe.

The back was completely smashed. I finally got the phone fixed and I just dropped it since getting it fixed, instantly the back was cracked again! My fault for not learning the first time :( Also the colour fades. Overall would not get this case again

The color of my phone is visible and the rubberish grip on the side gives me lots of security. I added a Love Handle to the back in a contrasting color (wonderful invention so now I can easily hold onto my iPhone and even use it easily one-handed. It also slips into my pocket very easily. Happy happy

The softer plastic around the front edges was contracted and the case did not lie flat on the table, it rocked a little. Getting the phone inside the case was very difficult because of this. The iPhone 12 has sharp edges that dug into my fingers as I tried to force the phone inside the case. I gave up three times before putting on vinyl gloves and persevering. A softer case would go on easier. The case fits fine now that it's on, but after one week I already see scratches. It's expensive considering these issues.

It scratches super easily and gets dirt and dust under the case. You can find a better, cheaper option on Amazon. Do not recommend if you want a nice case that lasts long. Will be returning.

Only reason I’m rating it higher is because I’ve had otterbox before and it protects my phone from daily use. They tend to turn yellow and fall apart sooner than they should for the price you pay, so I sold mine and got a cheaper Insignia case.

It’s very strong and will protect. It is also the most difficult one I’ve ever had. Has no flexibility to it at all, I had to heat is up with a hair dryer to even get it on.

I ordered an identical replacement simply because the clear edges were getting a little discolored, and within just a few weeks of having the new case, the back glass of my phone was completely shattered. Based on other recent reviews, Otterbox needs to look into its production, because these cases are no longer performing as promised, and they are absolutely not worth the money anymore. I've dropped this phone numerous times in my old Otterbox and not once did I have any damage that came close to what I experienced with my brand new case.The case itself only had a few nicks in it and was still under warranty, but the actual phone needed any entirely new back that cost me hundreds. I've always thought Otterbox was the best protection my phone could get, but based on this experience and the other reviews here, don't waste your money. The case might be fine if you drop it, but your phone won't.

It was not until I got to my seat when i realized basically my entire phone screen was shattered. I am so upset right now. Otterbox please do better.

Considering I always keep my case on my phone, I was very upset to see that it was not effective against normal wear and tear. Be cautious getting one of these cases as they may not be as protective as you would like. Otherwise, it’s a very cute case. It does brown o the sides relatively quickly.

My phone fell less than three feet out of my pocket onto the floor, and the entire back of my phone shattered. The case doesn't have a dent, but it didn't protect my phone at ALL. The only places unaffected were areas not 'protected' by the case. Considering my old iPhone SE got dropped onto a busy street with an OtterBox and was fine, you can understand why I'm incandescently furious. I've had this phone less than a year, and it's in pieces. I'm a short person (5') so it's not like it had far to fall, and the fact that it's only broken where the case is supposed to protect is horrifying. I was willing to pay $50 for a basic clear case, because it had the OtterBox name behind it, and it claimed to hold up to drop tests. There's zero reason my phone should look like this. For shame. I've always used LifeProof cases for my phones but didn't with my iPhone 12 pro and bought this Otterbox case instead. Biggest mistake ever! The case instantly shows a TON of scratches even though I am very careful with my phone. (I never put it loose in my bags or purses and have a special carrying pouch for it. It also has turned yellow around the edge of the case and has damaged the sides of my phone when inserting it. There is also damage on the volume and power buttons around the edge of the phone as well as the bottom of the phone. Please do not waste your money on this product.

This is my first clear case and I would not recommend it. Very sad that I spent the money and it already is getting wrecked. I should’ve read the reviews, I see this seems to be an issue with others also so must be a product issue.

After 10 miles the phone wanted off the roof and bounced down the highway, coming to a sliding stop in a ditch of gravel. After finding the phone and thinking the worst, to my amazement, this case did it’s job over and above. Not one scratch on the front or lenses of the camera. Thank you Otterbox for making an outstanding product. Oh and to top it off, the customer service was top notch and they are sending out a new case for me. Thank you for standing behind and in front of your product.

I love the glitter in the case that allows my phone color to show through without the noticeable fingerprints and scratches a clear case can get after extended use. My only complaint is the rubber portion yellowing. The case has protected my phone from countless drops, but I do feel the need to replace it now that it has discoloration. I would give it 5 stars otherwise.

It’s also not as hard to put on as other reviews make it seem, pretty easy actually. It’s just a matter of popping it in one corner at a time in a clockwise direction starting with the top right corner. However, as others have mentioned, it does get scratched up very quickly. I don’t really mind but considering how much money I paid, it would have been nice for the case to be scratch resistant.

It turned yellow within a couple weeks. I've read on other reviews that the material turns color over time, as it is exposed to the elements. I tried cleaning with dish soap and rubbing alcohol and it did nothing. It's a real nice case and that is why I gave it 2 stars, but the discolor is annoying. I'd suggest getting a colored one....but then you can't show your nice phone.

I bough stardust pattern and it is just beautiful. I have it for a month, and haven’t noticed a single scratch so far, probably because of all that glitter. It was difficult to put it on though, but not extraordinary. And I haven’t dropped it yet so cannot comment on how durable it is.

I decided to spend the $50 and get it anyway because 1. its overall high star rating and 2.) I've always purchased OtterBox cases before and liked them. After using the case for not even two days, there are numerous scratches (very visible) on the back of the case and I haven't even dropped it. It's true that it's a little difficult to get on, which isn't really an issue when it comes to damaging the phone, but what is an issue is the also very visible stretch marks on the back of the case when you do. The volume notch is also very deep, making it hard to switch the volume on or off unless you have long fingernails and it's true with what people say about the side button cover being very unresponsive unless you exert an annoying amount of effort pushing it hard. I'm very disappointed with my purchase and have lost all faith in the OtterBox brand.

I would probably not recommend the clear Color for that reason. I wish I chose one of the solid colours. For the price point you kind of want it to look nice. I haven’t dropped the phone yet so I can’t comment on how protective it is. Hopefully it does better in that category.

It is super protective, and I have gotten many compliments of the beautiful design. I love it so much! The reviews saying the case doesn't fit the phone are wrong. One time, a toddler kick to the phone and landing on bricks got the better of the last symmetry series clear case I had, but nothing fatal to the phone. This 12 version of the case also seems to be protective. It has a nice slim profile, I like the clear series to enjoy the look of the phone itself, and the gold floral design I selected hides scratches nicely. The only aspects I don't like: 1) it's harder to get on than past products I've used, and 2) there is a space running between the hard case and gel case components that will gather dirt and feels rough on the back bottom edge.

Unfortunately, this product is not one of my favorites, due to this product not being a clear case. The color of the iPhone is why I chose clear, so that is why I am posting this as a disappointment. It is more of a silver case than clear. You can see in the photo the metallic blue around the camera piece is not very clear to view at all, in this case. Also, it is not farfetched to envision that the plastic piece above the adapter insert will break, eventually. I am grateful for the guarantee though.

I knew I needed much better protection so I decided to invest in an otterbox case and tempered glass screen protector. I had been very happy with it. I don’t write reviews but I think after what happened today, otterbox deserves it. I was hiking in Austria and fumbled my phone taking a picture and dropped it off a cliff. When I finally managed to get to it, I was shocked that my phone was COMPLETELY. Unharmed. Only a few scratches on the case that you can’t even notice in most lighting. Not a crack on the screen protector either. Thanks otterbox for completely saving my phone.

With both cases it has protected my phone from cracks when it has fallen, good case for that. But the downside is that both case including this new one the front soft plastic side changes to a yellowish color which is ugly. Not sure why it does it.

I take very good care of my phone and I’m not rough with it so I was shocked. The scratches have ruined the texture. Not sure what they can do different to make it more scratch proof but it’s definitely an issue. I’d take a picture of it if it wasn’t so ridiculously difficult to take off and put back on.

My only complaints would be that 1. the back scratches easily (its not very noticeable so that’s being picky, and 2. the edges are not lifted enough. That is the biggest issue, as the lines around the camera and then around the phone screen aren’t far out enough to protect the camera/screen. I placed my phone down on a big rock yesterday for a little bit and realized i had to put it facedown or else the camera would get scratched, so I did, and it ended up scratching the heck out of the screen, thank god I had a screen protector on. Nonetheless, if the edges were lifted more, that wouldn’t have happened at all. Besides that, the case has protected my phone from a few falls and hasn’t had any cracks (even on screen protector) from me dropping it.

The standard between this case and my old Lifeproof case are night and day. It’s very flimsy in comparison. I could compare this plastic to the plastic they make toys of that you get in cereal boxes. Ever since Otterbox took over for Lifeproof the cases have become more and more disappointing. The materials and overall product looks and feels much cheaper. I only paid the $5 shipping for this case since it was a warranty and it still feels like I over paid for this product. The idea that this sells for $50 retail is mind boggling.

Where I have a problem is that the whole clear part of my back is full of scratches and the camera bump isn’t big enough (camera bumps not big enough). It’s a good case but with many problems, probably will buy a different case.

However, mine started to turn yellow after a month, and now it’s really yellow. Also the back is a scratch-magnet, and particles can easily get up inside the case, so I have to clean my phone and case once a week or so.

The only reason I gave it 3 starts, it does what it’s supposed to do which is protect your phone but that’s about it. Makes you look like you smoke 3 packs a day!

My most recent purchase was a case for my iPhone 12 in 2021 when I upgraded from my iPhone X where I also had an Otterbox case. This specific case is one that I enjoy because it is not as bulky, and it can fit in my pocket nicely. Even though the case is not as big, it is still protective and holds great on my phone. Something else I enjoy about the case is that no matter the design of the case, it does not affect how protective the case is. The same level of protection is shown throughout the designs and with so many options, there is something for everyone. I drop my phone a lot and it sometimes will fall off my bed, but no matter how many times it falls, there is never a scratch or crack on my phone and case. I have had the case since I bought the phone and over time the sides started to turn black, but I do not mind it because of how protective the case has been. I recently had to replace the original case that I bought because the bottom rubber started to come off, but I went online and was able to replace it and only pay the cost of shipping. I love that the cases have a warranty on them because not everything is going to last forever even a phone case. I would recommend the product because of the wide variety of options that they have. Even though the price is a lot for a phone case, the price shows in the final product. The case is protected and when I had a different branded case and dropped my phone once, it shattered the back screen, and ever since then, I have not taken off my otterbox case. I would recommend any Otterbox case to anyone who is looking for a new case that is protective and not too heavy where it feels like you are caring a brink in your pocket.

Sure enough, within about a week, the phone took a swim in an unpleasant place and survived as a result of being in the Otter Box!

Not only that, i have no idea when or how it shattered. Other than it is a clear case and i saw all the cracks through it. Now I need to not get my phone wet so it doesn't get ruined due to a case that did not protect.

My they make the back of the phone look horrible. We got the clear to showcase the color of our phone. Now the color doesn’t matter because all you see are the scratches. Very disappointed in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed The case is smaller than the phone. I've owned other Otterbox cases before and never experienced this much difficulty putting on a case. If well designed, a case should be sturdy and easy enough to slip on and off. Also, the case mold of the right side button does not sit well on the actual phone button. You need to apply more thumb pressure on the top button and less on the lower. I will be returning the moon walker case.

Durability and safety for the phone is never questionable when dealing with otterbox..I’ve been a loyal customer since the start & I’ll never switch. However, this particular isn’t what I expected and for that I give this case a 3/5. This case like any other symmetry case, lightweight, durable protects phone from drop impact etc. my only real issue is how glossy it is on the back. Looking at the photos on the website I was hoping for a more of a matte finish. Don’t like the fingerprint action I’m getting from the back if you know what I mean. It’s kind of annoying. Overall good case. If I knew it was glossy I wouldn’t have bought this specific case but still would’ve bought from Otterbox.. PS: @ Otterbox any way you can hook a loyal customer up with a symmetry case with a see-through back? Thanks

It has saved my phone from many drops to the floor. No damage to phone. I got the clear so you can also see the phone color. These cases are the best. My old otter box from my old phone is still in perfect condition. If you want to protect your phone Otter Box is the only case you need.

I have only had the case for a short time, and it already has scratches. I have been careful with it, but still, it has accumulated scratches. Now, I wish I had just bought a case that has a tougher material. I had an Otterbox case on my old phone that lasted all six years of that phone's life and had no scratches whatsoever.

And double clicking to download an app requires several attempts. I’ve been using this case for six months and I thought it would get better but so far it hasn’t. Sorry Otterbox. I like your cases and have no doubt they offer great protection but this one just isn’t right. My husband has an IPhone 11 Pro and his works like it’s supposed to.

GIANT CON: today my phone fell off of my work desk and the case did not do its job even a little bit... at all. The back casing is cracked all around the cameras. I just got this phone 3 months ago and now I need to figure out how to pay for a very costly repair. I will regret this case purchase for a longgg time

Instead, after a few months of use, the rubbery part of the case that runs around the edge of the screen has turned brown. I spent more money on this than I usually spend on a case and now regret the purchase. Would not buy again.

And the case protected my phone! The first day I got my phone case it was really hard to get on my phone, but after a month it came off/on easy. I do recommend this case if you drop your phone a lot.

After about a month it began to yellow despite cleaning it every few days, and had visible scratches all over. I’m not rough with my phone whatsoever and I haven’t dropped it once. It says it comes with a lifetime warranty but who wants an ugly case for that long ??
