Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only OtterBox Going Forward I've never owned an OtterBox before, but after I purchased my first phone with a curved edge, I went through two cheap cases rather quickly due to cracking the screen rather easily, even with minor drops. I've had the OtterBox case for a while now, and I've experienced some pretty nasty drops, bumps, and bangs. The screen is still intact, and I'm not even using a screen protector anymore. I will never own another phone case that is not an OtterBox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 foot drop My screen shattered from a 2 foot drop from my couch. I bought this case because I wanted to keep my phone I wanted to make an investment. I had screen protectors for it and everything. I am shocked. If I had dropped this from when I'm standing up it would be one thing. But I was laying on the couch. It fell on hard wood floor, not even concrete. I am very upset.

I dropped my phone from about waist level as it slipped out my had while picking something up off a table. This was the first time I ever had a screen break from a drop at this height with a Defender case. I dropped my Galaxy and Pixel 3 with a Defender case from higher heights and numerous times without issue over the past 5 years. Disappointed in the protection provided from this case. Will be looking into a different brand for my Pixel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection but.... I'm reviewing this on my Pixel 6 after having an this phone protector for 1 year and 4 months. My Pixel just died (not from physical damage) and I wanted to share my experience. First off - this case WORKS. I've dropped, kicked, stepped on and generally abused this phone and it only has ONE crack from when I dropped it when I opened the box :( The worst fall was when my bicycle phone clip broke and my Pixel went flying onto the road and it was totally fine! My 3 star review comes from the rubber part of the case. The USB-C protector cover had snapped off after about 4 months of use, and after about a year both volume covers had cracked off and would float under the rubber shell, and currently the power button cover had mostly come off. I actually had to take the rubber cover off when I wasn't using headphones otherwise I couldn't control the volume. I think this comes from how bulky the case is and how you kinda have to force it in & out of pockets. I'm not sure how to balance out the amazing protection with the convenience factor but constantly putting the shell on & off got old pretty quickly. Overall: I'd recommend the case if you, like me, are a destructive and clumsy person just keep in mind the case may need to be replaced after about a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ok, but not the old OtterBox I have been using OtterBox for years. I have had drops from the top of my truck, bleachers at football games... and never an issue. The new case for my Pixel 6Pro is not like the"old" OtterBox cases. The plastic "frame" fits well (as always) but the outer protective sleeve doesn't fit the corners or around the camera lense well. It's loose and sloppy, almost like it's melted or stretched. I also very much dislike the lack of front cover. I understand this is due to the curved screen and or "consumer demand" but the front cover was why I used OtterBox. Now it's the same as any other cheap brand. Cutting corners never goes well. Since it's cheaper to buy a new cover than phone, looks like I'll be shopping for a new brand of case.

My only complaint is that they didn't have any "fun" colors for my Pixel 6 Pro! I chose the blue/gray but would have loved a purple or something along those lines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't recommend The case is fair, the belt clip is absolute BS. It releases and drops the phone from the slightest touch. You can put the screen in or out, but the USB port orientation has to be paid attention to because it only goes in one way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful protection This case not only protects my Pixel 6 Pro, but it also makes the phone easier to use. The screen goes right to the edge of the phone. Without the case, it is hard to hold the phone without touching the screen, which causes unwanted things to happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it. Not going to lie, I got cheap. Started buying cheaper cases on Amazon. However, in no time the whole back of my phone cracked. Months later my touch screen wasn't working as it should. So when we had to pay the hefty insurance fee to get a replacement I decided not to be cheap and pay for the OtterBox. It has thus far survived the same falls, drops etc as it did in my old cheap Amazon case WITHOUT the cracks all over the back of my phone. Which says a lot.. as a mother of 4 young kids, my phone goes through a lot. So thank you OtterBox for keeping my phone safe and looking brand new.

My friends are having to replace their phones because an unrecoverable drop their lesser case did not protect them from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pixel 6 Pro Defender Series Pro Case This new same replacement of my old phone case after 2 years and ( after cleaning my phone and deleting old stuff off my phone ) revived my Pixel Pro 6 phone protection once again after 2 years of ownership. I will say that it was put through some rough Jeep'in and rugged outdoor dropping and use. Great durable product and yes, I would buy it again and again. AAAAA+++++

I went to Walmart and got a case that covers the glass and entire phone. The otterbox pro samsung s23 case crack my phone and broke itself. The case now I have is 20 dollars. It covers the entire phone and glass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good case, I don't understand the holster design overall the phone case itself is solid and good otterbox design. well made, well fitting and very protective - that's all great and as expected for this expensive case. What I don't get is the design decision on the holster clip that holds the phone in. As designed, the clip is in the wrong spot for righties, who I assume will clip the holster on their right hip. As designed, when horizontal, the phone is held upside down with the buttons facing down so that when you remove it, the buttons are on your left and the phone is upside down. And, the design is necessarily asymmetrical due to the pixel buttons being in the center. No idea why the clip isn't placed elsewhere on the holster to allow the phone to be removed properly for right hand use which must be a majority of users. Is that a deal killer? Up to you. Puzzling for sure and probably annoying over time if you use the holster a lot horizontally. I won't use the holster that much but if I did, this would really bother me. The holster could be used upside down itself to correct, but then the more full corners are face up and not bearing the phone weight and the clip would bear the phone weight too. Really odd honestly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not the old otterbox I am a construction worker and have been an exclusive otterbox user for year. I have dropped the otterbox covered phones hundreds of time and never one problem. This one is different though. Not sure who stole whose design, but there is another company who makes basically the same case at a 1/3 the cost. I had to use it until my otterbox made it to me. I used the "other case" for a week and dropped my phone a few times. I am a construction worker if you wondered why my phone is dropped. Normally it falls out of my pocket when getting out of the bobcat or off my lap when I get out of the truck. I am clumsy I admit that. Now once I got my new otterbox i was shocked how both cases were basically the same, but the first drop of the otterbox and cracked my screen protector. It hit the edge of the phone and spider webbed the screen protector. Then as mentioned the other case had dropped on all sides as well and never broke. The main point is I no longer think of otterbox as the end all be all of phone protection. Perhaps it is because of the bent pixel 6 pro and before this I have always had flat phones.

This case doesn't seal your phone in with a protective cover over the glass. I paid $45 to leave this in the box. I got a similar cover on Amazon for $20, while I waited for these to come off backorder. It has the built in screen protector like OtterBox used to have. When you have a great product, don't diminish it's value by cutting corners. Description says protection from dirt but with no built in front cover, not really much point in paying the money for this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from charging port protector breaks easily It's a wonderful case, don't get me wrong. As someone who drops their phone more times than can count, it's a good quality case. However, one major issue is the charging port that flips and allows your charger to plug into your phone breaks off after about 6-7 months. Keep in mind I don't aimlessly fidget with it or do anything to encourage breakage. It's a flimsy part of an otherwise good quality case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's great... What more do want? Face up, it keeps the camera bar safe. Face down it keeps the screen safe. It's plenty grippy. Buttons feel nice and responsive. It's got a solid USB cover. Its an excellent case, idk what else to say. I see a good amount of criticisms about this case, claiming it's some sort of step down from it's predecessors... the phone has bevels, I don't think a better case exists. I bought the Whitestone Dome screen protector (Sorry OtterBox and they work perfectly together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good protection with concessions I like the color and like all Otterbox cases, it is VERY sturdy and fits my Pixel 6 Pro very well. However there some unseen challenges. First - the Pixel 6 Pro curves on the edges of the screen which cannot be reached easily with the case on (to be fair most apps do not use that space, but the apps I use do) . Second - the case is capable of supporting wireless charging, but I don't use it. Wireless charging is too slow - almost to the point of worry (slow charge can indicate a number of possible problems, especially on brand new phones). And with it being Otterbox, removing the phone just to wirelessly charge isn't worth the effort. This is a very good case, but it does sacrifice convenience for protection so balance your priorities accordingly.

I have had to replace my screen twice because of short drops. I don't expect it to be bulletproof, but I would hop it could survive a less than three foot drop from my pocket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I know my phone is safe The biggest thing I look for with a USB-C phone is making sure the charge port is protected. They so easily get dust and debris inside the port and then the phone won't charge. This case protects the charge port as well as giving a really sturdy support around the whole phone while adding minimal extra bulk to an already large device. The case is thicker than the phone so I know my glass won't get scratched when I place it face-down on my desk. I've used Otterbox defender cases since my iPhone 4 and haven't looked back as I moved through my Galaxies and now Pixels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pixel 6 pro blue great case. nice grip. looks good arrived quickly and packaged well. The case has a nice solid non-slip grip. the buttons work well over the phone buttons. My only small quibble was when putting the phone in the case for the first time I tried to put it straight in to the case, but, you must first take all 3 pieces apart THEN put the phone in and reassemble. I found out with a Youtube video. It fits perfectly around the phone interfaces and I like the blue color. I wish there were an ORANGE color as I lose things. I only use the hard black case when travelling, hiking, etc.

I also put on a Whitestone glass protector and there was no interference. Before I bought I read the reviews about being able to charge the phone with the case on and people said it didn't work. I called the company to verify it would. They said it would work perfect when using the charges they tested with and sell. They were right on, works perfect to wirelessly charge while keeping the cover on. I spent lots of money on this phone and feel I have done everything possible to protect it using this great case.

Without it, my phone is shiny and slippery, it was like holding a wet bar of soap. With the case, it's like hold the a dry bar of soap. Makes the phone feel secure even if dropped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holster designed for left hand use I just recently upgraded to the Pixel 6 pro and bought the defender case right away with the phone like I always have for my past pixels. But once again the holsters designed for left-handed use. The pixel 4 case worked well for right-handed use. It seems like we went backwards in technology to similar to the Pixel 2 case where you had to flip your phone every time. The Pixel 4 case worked great where the attachment clip was towards the back of the holster as opposed towards the front so you wouldn't have to flip your phone.

I have 0 fear this case would ever come off on its own, and it seems like quite good protection especially if used in combination with a screen protector & camera screen protector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great improvement for the new Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6 Pro's cameras protrudes which isn't exactly streamlined. The thickness of the OtterBox is such that it perfectly aligns with the protruding camera and makes for a sleek back. The other features are the same high quality of protection that I experienced in the others that I used for more than a decade.

But has issues.... 1 There is no protection for the back camera lens cover (at least that's what I think the clear rectangle on the back is). 2) When I put my phone in belt clip, the clip pressws the up volume and if I have music playing, it cranks the volume to max. VERY ANNOYING. Would I recommend this case? Only after mentioning these caveats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Durable Case. Have had the Defender series for most of the phones I have owned. I usually start of with something lower priced because the Defender is a little overpriced. I always end up giving in and ordering the OtterBox. The Defender is just more grippy and offers the most protection. One of the other reasons for buying it is the belt holster that almost no one else offers. This one is for the Pixel 6 pro and fits great.
