The holster that comes with it clips in pretty easy after you break it in a little bit. But over protects the phone very well. Just make sure you have a screen protector on your phone.

So of course I wanted another one for my iPhone 13 pro max. However when I researched online it said the otter box defender comes with a screen protector. When I received the defender it did not include a built in screen protector. Very disappointed that I had to buy a separate screen protector in addition to the case. Had I known this prior to purchasing it- I wouldn’t have. That was one of the reasons I liked the otter box so much was complete protection for my phone. Unfortunately they don’t make them like they used to.

I do all kinds of crazy things filming with my phone, and no other case offers this protection- I tried other cases, but came back to Otter Box. I love the raised rubber edges of the case- easy to grip, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Color Selection I’ve always purchased the Outterbox Defender Series for all my past purchased but noticed that there has been little to no change when it comes to color selection for this series within the past years. Especially for a girlie girl like me. It would be nice if we can combine the colors of the inner and outter color of cases ourselves than to just pick one of the colors that have been already matched. At least give us the option to pick the colors like the other series. Just my two cents. I’m still giving it a 5 just because I love this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I always use otter box defender but I bought the spigen screen protector and it did not fit with the otter box defender it kept bubbling up so I had to buy another screen protector today wouldn’t be a big deal if otterbox hadn’t said they were compatible I never use the belt clip and man I would gladly like to see an option for the case without that as I toss the belt clip in the trash would like some girly defender pros as well but sure wish I had t had to fork out 50 dollars for a screen protector today

While the holster is not as tight a fit as it was with my previous phone (an iPhone X, it's still secure during everyday activity (walking, etc.) and my phone hasn't fallen out of it. As for the screen protector (one of the Otterbox products) - it fits with the case just fine for me. I also have a camera lens protector installed that fits well with this Otterbox case. My only suggestion would be the color/customization offerings -- the green did not come as a color option with the higher end defender cases with Magsafe, which I would have considered with more color options. I would have also liked to customize the color offerings and mix/match the parts of the case.

Nothing worse than seeing your brand new iPhone hitting the ground. Customer denied my warranty claim because the pictures don’t show physical damage. Ridiculous

Three days after I received this case, I was working on a roof about 2 stories high. My phone slipped out of my pocket. Throughout all of the bumping and falling it endured, my iPhone is still intact and functioning. This is best protection case I have ever used. Definitely worth the price.

The case is very sturdy and surrounds the entire phone with the exception of the screen and the threee cameras on the back. It would be nice if OtterBox would include some sort of scratch resistant camera lens covering or protection. The case appears beefy enough and protrudes enough to provide fall protection for the phone, even if it lands on one of the corners.

The holster does not lock into the side of the phone case so the phone is not secure. I am afraid the phone will fall out while I walk.

No matter what phone I have, I always come back to an Otterbox case as they are superior to any other case I've tried. This defender series case fits my Max Pro like a glove and doesn't make it too bulky, but I'm confident it has the maximum ability to protect my phone. I don't have any concerns using this case.

She loved the kickstand which is a great feature. It’s military standard which she also loves. It’s perfect for her new IPhone 13 Pro Max. Since it is partially made of recycled materials it’s a great feature. This phone case can stand heavy usage.

The outside rubber is peeling off and the plastic skeleton is broke and flimsy. I’m disappointed otterbox /: your products are very expensive snd everyone thinks we can rely on you. But can we? ALSO I have chipping around my screen Im assuming is from the cas since I haven’t take it off since the day I got it. Very disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defenders used to be a lot better I got the Otterbox Defender for my iphone 6 and then for my iphone 12 pro max and the one for the 12 is terrible. It's been a little over 2 yrs since I got it. Within the first 2 months the rubber was already deforming and becoming loose. The covers for the charging port and the silence switch have both fallen off. The corners of the case are deformed so that the rubber can't grip into the plastic grooves. The case isn't raised above the front face or the camera enough to prevent damage. Both my screen protector and camera lens protectors which I had to buy separately cracked from drops that were only 3 ft or less from a hardwood floor. Today the hard plastic casing just straight up failed after falling flat on the hardwood floor. The design itself seems to be the opposite of the iphone 6 series of defenders which had the rubber inner and hard plastic outter. Instead this goes with the hard plastic on the inside and rubber on the outside which doesn't really make sense to me. Any deformation to the hard plastic inner means the outer shell becomes more loose. I had the iphone 6 for much longer and never had any issues like this in the 4 years I used it.

No way my phones would survive without OtterBox. I also love the lifetime warranty. I have had to replace one because I had to keep taking it off because of doing lives for our church. (Phone wouldn’t fit in stand with the defender case). That stretched the rubber protection layer. I contacted Otter Box through their website and had a replacement in less than a week. Easy!

I had an iPhone 11 drop from 30 stories up and not shatter my phone. But the last 2 iPhone 13s I’ve had I dropped inside of an otterbox from Hip height and it completely destroyed my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality has fallen. I've had iPhones since 2009, with all of them in Otterbox cases. Some were slightly better than others, but all protected the iPhone, including this one. HOWEVER, in less than 2 years, the "ring" section of the case that secures the phone into the large part of the case has broken into 4 pieces--the two bottom corners, and the bottom are now separate from the rest of the ring. The rubber still holds them in place, but it's a pain to take apart and put back together for cleaning now. But that's not the only problem. Of all the Otterboxes I've had over the years, this one is the least secure in the belt clip holster. Many times, I've thought I had it clipped into the holster, only to have it fall out a short time later. My wife has even found the phone in the driveway (in the snow!) a few times after I left for work because it popped out while I was getting in my vehicle. That NEVER happened with previous Otterboxes. I have been hard on all my Otterboxes, and previous ones held up for the most part. This one has not. Also, I'd like to see the holsters have a belt clip that allows for a thicker, leather belt. The clip could even just be L-shaped instead of J-shaped.

Came back out two hours later and couldn’t find my phone. But my Bluetooth kicked in so I knew it was nearby. Lo and behold I found it covered in snow, had been run over by several vehicles, and my Otterbox kept my iPhone in pristine condition!! No water damage, no breakage from being run over! Amazing!!

It has it on the top and bottom, but the sides are flush with the screen, I don’t foresee the case protecting the screen as well if you drop it face down.

I used the belt clip exclusively and it will not keep the phone in the click. I have lost the new iPhone 13 Pro Max 4 times. Luckly for me once if fell off in my car and the other three I found on the ground. I called Otter and told them the issue with the Defender and told them they need to have a recall. They apologized and sent me a new Defender hoping it was just a one-time problem. I received the second Defender and it does the same thing. The problem with the Defender is that the top of the belt clip that holds the phone in, does not put enough pressure on it to hold the phone in place. It isn't good, to loose a $1200.00 phone because of a defective product.

What good is a case when you can’t protect the screen? I’m sure Otterbox screen protectors would fit, but that brings you to a $100 phone case. No thanks. You’ll also be charged $5 to send it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from redesign sucks - worried about camera now I have had otterbox defenders since i can remember, my last one was for iphone xs max (partner has iphone 11 and love that it had a deep edge protecting the camera and phone face from scratches. this new one has such a shallow edge that i know i will scratch these expensive camera lenses and screen if i don't do something else. i didn't even think to read the reviews because i've always loved these products in the past (i just retired a samsung s7edge w/defender case - no breaks/scratches ever). now i see i really should have not trusted anything. re the color, someone else mentioned the hunter green is not hunter green - it is a dark teal and mustard, which is fine with me but it is deceiving (hunter is a deep green with no blue tinge). came on to look for a screen protector since my last case didn't need one, and see there are issues there too. at a loss atm because i already transferred my service to new phone and am afraid to use this new one. it's not like anyone makes protectors for camera lenses and who knows what $40-50 screen protector will work. also super disappointed the integrated pop socket defender line seems to have been cancelled. I always thought it was dumb until i got one, now i find it extremely useful. then there is the holster - i rarely used my old ones, but as an added protection i thought i might since the case is so much less deep. but who carries their screen facing out in a holster for added protection? (advice in response to other reviews). I haven't used mine yet, but maybe the issue of security was fixed, - now to decide if i protect the camera side or the screen side with the holster until i can figure something better.

I've kicked it across parking lots multiple times and nothing wrong. Now they change the design and I've broken my phone and tempered glass 3 times in 6 months. Every time was a minimal fall of less than 4 feet and all it did was land face down. Broken. Why they changed a design that worked flawlessly to this piece of trash makes no sense. I'm done buying their product.

But the belt clip with this case has my phone constantly falling on the ground. I contacted otterbox and was told they were aware of the quality problem with the belt clip and I should contact them at a later date to have a new case with clip shipped when a new batch is made . I’ve contacted otterbox again and have never gotten another response. Judging by the reviews on here otterbox has not fixed the issue with their case and belt clip. I guess I’ll be looking for a new case manufacturer for my phone case.

I had purchased two cases from the website, and have had to go through the warranty process at least twice between them. The silicone cover starts to peel away after just a couple months. By the 6 month point, it is practically falling off the case and inhibits the drop protection it advertises. The Defender series quality is nothing like what it used to be. For a case that has not been dropped and rarely kept inside a pocket, it does not stand the test of time anything like what it used to. I have had Otterbox Defender cases since my iPhone 6, and have never had any issues. Now with the 13 series cases, I cannot get through 8 months without having to submit a warranty claim. Very disappointed with my purchase(s).

Unlike the Otterboxes I've had, this one is way too shallow and does not protect the screen and causes my fingers to touch the sides unnecessarily making the screen hard to navigate. Also the clip-on cover is quite flimsy and loose. I bought this to protect my screen and to be able to hold the phone without finger interference. I feel I wasted my money on this product and it lowered my love for Otterbox. Please do a recall and get me a deeper case with a good raised edge on it like all the others!

This one doesn’t have that problem, and is much slimmer than others that have a higher lip. I also have no issues with wireless charging. Very happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the Otter Box I've Grown to Love I have the Otter Box Defender Pro on my company issue iPhone XR and iPad so when I upgraded my personal phone to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Otter Box Defender Pro was a no brainer. I quickly learned that the two cases were drastically different. The case for my new phone did not have the bezel protection I had come to rely on, and was confident in, like the case for my XR. The new case had raised edges at the top and bottom of the phone only, not all the way around like the XR case has. I get it, the 13 Pro Max is a larger phone and maybe Otter Box was trying to slim down the case a bit due to the larger size, but when I buy a rugged case I could care less about how sleek it is, I need rugged protection. I don't want the phone in my pocket, it's going on my belt in the belt clip. That brings me to my next disappointment, the belt clip, it is absolutely unreliable rendering it useless! The plastic is way too soft and flexible allowing the phone to unclip itself with the slightest snag or pressure. I've lost my phone 3 times out of the belt clip due to its soft, flexible nature. On the bright side the phone case itself has protected the phone from damage every time. The defender pro case and belt clip on my XR has worked flawlessly, the belt clip will tear your belt off before it's going to release the phone if you're not purposely releasing the phone. I give the the XR case and clip 5 stars but just can't for the 13 Pro Max case and clip which breaks my heart. I love the Otter Box product and have it on all my devices and was all I would buy. Sadly, I fear that may have to change for my 13 Pro Max if something can't be done to remedy the problems that plague this case.

I’ve tried it on 3 different wireless chargers and my phone won’t charge on them unless I take the rubber shell off (wife’s cheap Amazon case works on them all just fine). Super disappointed.

Don’t buy unless you have a steady hand and your a handy/crafty person I had to carve some of the plastic out so the teeth in the holster can have a better bite. Otherwise do not buy.

The fit is different and it’s more flush so doesn’t offer as good of protection for the glass. My glass screen protector broke within a week without even dropping the phone. The case itself is nice but the reason I go for this model is for the belt holder. It will not hold the phone tight under any circumstance! It works well if your just standing and not moving but anything short of that good luck! It’s very frustrating watching your new investment fall to the floor because of a device you purchased to protect it!

Already the upper right corner is stretched out and I have to continuously put it back into the groove. I realize it’s thin there because of the camera cut out, but it looks sloppy. I don’t pocket this phone often so it’s frustrating that my expensive case has this happening. It’s very distracting when I am using my phone. I still love the brand, but this should be something you should expect a couple months after normal use.

I also went from an Otterbox Commuter to the Otterbox Defender Pro Max. The case is terrible. The inner locking piece does not snap around the phone securely and tightly. With the outter shell then applied, there is squeaking when gripping the case. This comes from the design flaw with the inner snapping part. On top of that, there is no screen protector out there that works with this case. Otter and non-Otter brand screen protectors bubble up after snapping the phone in to the inner piece. I have invested so much money in to trying to find the right case and screen protector and am disgusted and hopeless on finding something that works for me. This is a nightmare compared to the seemlessnes I have with my XS Max and Commuter case, which had no issues with any screen protector I tried.

To my disappointment, the holster does not lock phone in securely. The slightest touch to the phone it pops out of the holster. I ordered a second one and does the same. The side tab that clicks the phone in place is smaller/less wide than past defender cases. My new phone is slightly heavier and the tab on the Otterbox is smaller! Why?? Otterbox very disappointed!

For the first time ever there is a major problem - the Otterbox won’t stay clipped to the belt clip. I just got my new iPhone 13 Pro Max and my new Otterbox Pro iPhone 13 Pro Max case and used it for the first time today. I first thought that it was the belt clip, but it’s not - it’s the Otterbox phone case. I tried clipping it to my previous Otterbox belt clip that was always tight and this time it was loose. I need to either file a warranty claim or return because it won’t keep my phone safe.

Sign of major policy change or got rid of best designer's, or hit and run quick money making not believing in legacy. iPhone 13 plus max case is a sad joke and screen protector glass is more sadder. I have iPhone 11 and defender’s case is so high quality, around the screen lip of the case is at least 3mm higher and thicker to protect phone if fall facing down. 13 max is as flat as pancake. Simply no protection. Very thin and flimsy quality of everything around. iPhone 11 screen installation kit ( plastic frame around the phone to install the protector glass is foolproof and perfect. 13 pro max is nothing but huge failure. Never fit on screen at first time. 5th time I was able to, because of stupid design of installation kit.( why don’t you keep the perfect as iPhone 11 kit ) you guessed right, air bubbles are imminent after so many trial and error, because of installation kit. Only the person feel the pain who has a stone in his shoes. No one else can. I suggest all readers, please postpone your purchase until redesign the product. Specially thicker and deeper lips of case around screen and screen installation kit as simple as iPhone 11.

The holster is thinner plastic than previous models and the phone continues to unsnap and fall out. So far it’s proven drop proof which is good but disappointing because it’s falling due to a poor holster design/quality. Case itself is adequate but can be a bit hard to get a good grip on. At this rate the case will probably have to be replaced from fall damage anyways.

I just bought a otter box defender pro case and the holster does absolutely nothing I had it in the holster and my phone just fell straight out of it luckily I had the case on it or I would be buying a new phone! All I want is a case to protect my charging port from dirt and water it can be a different case I don’t really care at this point. But what I don’t want is to pay almost $70.00 dollars for a phone case that doesn’t work! My phone was well over $1,000.00 dollars and I don’t want it just falling out and getting destroyed.I have been using otter box for a while now but this is absolutely infuriating and uncalled for! I have already submitted a warranty replacement but what happens if I get it after having to pay taxes to get that and the holster does the same thing? I have just read some reviews and I’m not the only person with this issue, the design is way off and needs to be fixed! I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I seems that the mold they use for the holster have the incorrect dimension. This is the engineer speaking, It’s seems like a fabrication error, no quality department was available since I been using otterbox products more than ten years and this is the first time that happened to me. The case is of very good quality and meets my expectations from owning this style case. The looks are superb and it’s a nice feel that grips good in my hands. However, the phone clip is horrible. It feels very loose and unsecured. I have caught it a couple time popping loose on its own. My old otterbox clip for my iPhone 8 Plus gripped the phone snugly and felt secure.

Not sure if it’s because of this new “skateboard” design where it’s flush in the middle but raised at top and bottom but I’ve been using the defender since day 1 with every iPhone I’ve ever had(every 2 years and this is depressing. I have always used the Defender series cases as they have protected my phones very well. I work in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic so my phone needs good protection. Since my purchase, my phone has fallen out of the belt holster at least once a day and more often than not, it is several times a day. Even getting in and out of my truck, the phone will pop loose from the holster and hit the ground. Just this past week, the phone fell out of the holster and was lost for a time, on 2 separate occasions. Luckily I found it once and someone turned it in the second time. This is a very expensive phone and I expect better from Otterbox. I submitted a warranty claim for the holster and Otterbox wants to charge $11.00 plus for the claim. Come on Otterbox, you’ve got to do better.

It’s just made different this time around. You have to reverse the phone into the clip (screen facing outward. It’s a snug secure clip that way. I always buy Otterbox Products due to their durability and quality. This case is the best there is hands down. I work as a first responder so I know this case is tried and true. This was Otterbox’s first case ever, and they have done an incredible job with keeping it in the top cases for phones. The new design that came out with the iPhone 12 has been an awesome update, and it is the same with the 13 as well. The same rugged protection , grip, anti microbial , but now slimmed down for easier use. I upgraded to the silver/white iPhone 13 pro max, and purchased the black AND hunter green cases in the defender pro. With the hunter green, the inside hard shell is more a butterscotch color. The colors actually compliment each other which pleasantly surprised me. The phone looks great with both. The top and bottom have raised edges in a ramp style that allows the phone to be raised up when it is face down on a surface. Looking from the side it resembled the edges of a canoe. I love this new feature. The back is smooth and very grippy. When the phone is on its back , the camera lens do not touch the surface either which further protects the phone from scratches and dirt. I do not think the phone is heavy, but if you are a no case or barely there case person, this could appear heavy to you. The outer grip makes the case feel lighter and more secure in my hands than other cases. If you have kids, animals, heavy duty job, or just a chaotic life style, you’ll want and need this case when the phone tries to fly, gets tossed, or dropped. The mute switch and charging port have covers over them to prevent anything getting inside and reeking havoc. Additionally, this case does allow you to apply a screen protector on it (always should, and it goes nearly edge to edge with the inner shell. I’m using the Otterbox Amplify with anti microbial screen protector. I can’t speak on other brands, but I imagine they are the same or similar cut outs. The volume and sleep buttons are nice and clickable without much effort, but also not overly easy which can cause taking unwanted screen shots all the time. Overall this is has been a great case year after year without fail. They have proven their worth and have been vetted time after time. If you do need to return something or have any issues, their customer service center is easy and quick, but they aren’t magicians and patience is sometimes needed. They cover a lot of ground and a lot of customers. I think that covers everything for the moment. Thank you for sticking with me during this lengthy review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute JUNK I have been using OtterBox cases for my iphone protection for as long as I have had iphones because they worked. This is not the case anymore ! The 13 Pro Max Defender Series Pro Case has a defect that allows the phone to fall out of the belt clip randomly, very disturbing to watch a $1200.00 phone hit the floor. In addition to the belt clip defect OtterBox has decided not to provide screen protection for an already overpriced phone case. After reading other reviews (after my purchase I now realize that OtterBox has known about this issue for some time and has chosen not to recall the product but instead let $1200.00 phones keep falling off of belt clips. Shame on you OtterBox ! I have decided to look for other options, there are better ones for less money !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backwards in protection This case and clip are extremely easily separated. Wearing it on my side cannot happen with this case. The old design was definitely locked into place. In addition to the clip losing its grip, the case itself does not have the raised edges all the way around the screen for the extra protection. Definitely went backwards in the protection level the Otter Box once had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major fail on the belt clip iPhone 13 Pro Max I’m military and work in often industrial situations or out doors. I previously had the iPhone 8 Plus with the Otterbox Defender and never had problems with it falling off the holster but unfortunately the side clip is not a robust and the phone can easily separate from the holder with little pressure. With my older phone I can’t recall a time the phone left the holster without being ripped off. With the 13 Pro MAX version the phone falls to the ground 2-6 times a day on average. If I’m lucky I’ll catch it. Very disappointed with Otterbox on this one. Will definitely not be using the holster in the field. Engineering really failed on this one. They should have actual people test them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case, can't go wrong! The Defender case has always been my go-to. I bought a different case from another supplier but it didn't feel right or work that well. The rubber outer portion of the case prevents slipping when on a smooth surface and provides great protections. The camera is more protected than I anticipated. I purchased this with a screen protector and have no complaints thus far. I do wish it came with a camera cover, but it still provides enough depth where it will not get damaged on flat surfaces.

The phone kept falling out of the holster for no reason. Contacted customer support, and they replaced it with the improved version! Excellent customer service and a company who saw a problem with their product and worked to fix it. We will remain customers of Otterbox.

Customer Service was responsive online and said to call their number. After 33 minutes on hold, the agent was extremely nice and responsive. However, the supposedly redesigned replacement holster arrived today. There was NO change in the design and thus, no change in being able to clip into the side of my phone case. Both holsters are totally useless. Major fail for Otterbox!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holster Doesn't Hold Phone I received my new iPhone 13 Pro Max two weeks ago. I purchased a Black Otter Box Defender Pro Case which included the belt clip/holster from the AT&T Store. Like so many customers are saying, I too found that the holster doesn't hold the phone very well and it pops off all the time. It fell to the ground three times the first day. I've never had an Otter Box holster perform so poorly. Luckily the case performed as designed and protected the phone. It appears the latch part of the case and holster needs to be beefed up so it will hold better and require a little more effort to release when you need your phone. Since I've only used Otter Box for all my previous iPhones, iPads and iPods I don't even know where to find a better solution with a belt clip/holster that will keep my phone attached until I need it. Hopefully Otter Box will redesign the latch part of the holster and case so it's more durable like my previous ones have always been.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing Most of the otter box items I have purchased are great but this time it falls flat. The case and glass don’t fit well together. I installed the glass nicely w the East install kit. Then when installing the case it pushed up a corner and the glass cracked. And the case does not stay clipped in like my old otter box case. The phone fell out while I was walking. This happened several times before it just removed the case now looking for a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not compatible with screen protectors I bought this case for my new iPhone 13 pro max. Have used OtterBox cases in the past and I am really pleased. I got this because of its port protection. I don't think there is not another case that cover the charging port, mute switch while at the same time offers multi layer protection. There was the Speck Presidio Sport, but they don't make it anymore, bummer. Would want to have that. I wanted to like this defender pro, it is not as bulky as I remember my other defender cases. An issue I am having is, it is "lifting" the screen protector at the edges creating. So it is either I keep the case and remove the screen protector which is something that I am not willing to do. Or get a new case, but this is not cheap. So for now, have to suck it up. Oh well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine case but poor belt clip I’ve had the case since January and have had defender cases on all my phones working in the field. They’ve all been great but the belt clip for the 13 max case is horrible. Falls out at the slightest hit. So when I’m walking a corn field or around equipment and nudge it, the phone is on the ground. Played soccer with my son on Saturday, and it dropped 3 times while I was running with him. They’ve made great products in the past but failed here. They want pictures but it’s hard to take a picture of your phone with your phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Case Ever Kept complaining about the issue with the design on the case and holster and I’ve lost my phone of my holster more the 50 times that’s an impossible almost in a whole year but with this case it’s never been properly secure even after they said they gave me the renewed version and still seems like they don’t care nor planning to fix this issue for the iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB this is ridiculous I’ve paid nearly 1800 for my phone just to have it falling out of the case everyday

You can’t carry it on the holster because it won’t stay secure and keeps falling out. I have broken several screen protectors because of this. Do not buy this product!! The quality has went down greatly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged case that blocks signals My wife bought this case for her brand new iPhone 13 Pro Max last month and suddenly she couldn’t access her podcasts or anything on the Internet when she would go for walks around town, Meanwhile, my iPhone 11 Pro with a much thinner case always works like a champ. On a whim I removed the case, thinking it might be interfering with the transmitters in the phone, and since doing that her phone works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I have come to expect....... i bought this case the day i purchased my phone from the AT&T store. while i have been a fan of the defender since the iphone 4, this was sub-par quality from what i have come to expect. while the outer case is slimmer, the holster leaves a lot to be desired. the fit is not snug as with previous cases and does not lock the phone in securely. the phone would slip out on occasion. still a fan of the defender and the protection it provides, just wish the holster had a better design.........

However I’m disappointed because it’s supposed to be wireless charging compatible, but it did not work with my MagSafe wireless charger.

But this latest case for my new iPhone 13 Pro Max is not up to the usual quality standards. The holster does not clip securely to the phone, and I've already dropped it once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the case, but… I just received my phone and I always buy a Defender and pair it with an invisible shield screen protector. I’ve never had an issue before. I believe my case is slightly “off” in one spot. I can see that the screen protector and case aren’t touching, but it’s like the bottom corner of the case is slightly bent (? It was the first Defender case I’ve struggled with and I’ve never used any other cases. Maybe it’s just a flaw with my case. It still feels very secure. I just hate having to continually see the bubble forming at the lower right corner. No other areas of the screen has issues. If I bend the corner of the case down very gently, the bubble goes away. Like I said, the case isn’t touching the screen protector at all. Maybe it’s something with the plastic connector underneath. The phone is very snug and safe though! I’ll still keep buying these cases.

The cradle in both purchases does not clip in a strong secure manner. The issue, you never feel that the cell phone is secure when you walk or break into a brief sprint.

Apparently now the screen protector is separate which is the worst thing ever. Why would I purchase a $50+ case and An additional $45+ screen protector. This is absurd and I will start looking for a new company.

The shell is designed at too much of an angle and doesn’t allow for any screen protector to stay on the phone. It pops the protectors off and bubbles them. I’ve always purchased Otterbox but I’m considering going with another case manufacturer after this nightmare.

I was so disappointed when I received mine to see that they have cheapened it where it counts. I returned it right away. I have been exclusively using Otterbox cases for over a decade and will sadly be moving on since they clearly no longer care about protecting customer's expensive phones.

The edges on top will not fully protect your phone and the back edges for the cameras are also not tall enough, it lines up the lenses. how is that going to help? So don't expect it to keep your phone drop safe. this is awful! you guys will need to refund a lot of people on this and fix it !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Protection for iPhone I had this case on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and loved it. Got the same for my 13 Pro Max because every other case I either looked at or reviewed did not seem near as robust for protecting the phone. The Defender Pro for the 13 Pro Max is a little less bulky; the sides of the front bezel are almost flush with the screen BUT the top and bottom are still pronounced and help provide the intended protection to the screen. The rear case prevents the camera optics from hitting the table when the phone is laid face up. All surfaces of the case are “grippy” and the phone can be easily handled without slipping out of your hands. I do not use the holster and cannot comment on its effectiveness. A $1200 electronic device that is handled continuously warrants the best protection, and the Otterbox Defender Pro delivers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Defender Case I have owned I have owned many Defender cases for my iphone's over the years, always thought they were the best. This one is the worst. The case fits great around the phone, however the phone does not securely latch into the holster. My phone has dropped out of it many, many times on hard floors and concrete. Luckily I have a screen protector to help prevent cracks of I'm sure it would have cracked by now. I am so worried about losing or or breaking it that I am constantly checking it in the holster only to find it partially hanging out. Many other reviews stating this same issue of not securely latching. Not happy at all with this one. Then I try to file warranty claim and Otterbox wants to charge $8.00 to file the claim for shipping after I paid $70.00 for a cheaply made setup. Looking for a different brand now.

I bought one new from a verizon dealer, I put it on when I got home and I had a doctors appt the next day, when I arrived I got out of my Truck and reached for my phone it's not there! It came loose and fell down beside my Truck seat. I thought ok it's just a bad belt clip: so after loosing my phone 3 more times I took the case off and went with another brand. I thought I will see about warranty, so I filled it out they send me a new case and it's no different! I end up buying another Otterbox Defender Pro XT because they say you can get a belt clip with it so that's how I ended up here with this review! Aweful clip design!

Dust and little particles getting inbetween the layers of the case and then digging into my device and creating scratches. The rubber shell has ripped to pieces from normal use. This case is bulky and provides some protection from dropping - but is clearly not made well. I just spent $60 on a leather Andar case.

I’ve only had the case for a few months and the rubber is stretching and loose. With a phone as large as the 13 pro max when you put the bulky case on it it won’t fit in your pocket but the holster is absolutely useless. I’ve lost my phone numbers of times and I constantly have to worry about it falling out of the holster while doing anything. With that being said I can’t find any information about how to get a replacement and if I could I don’t know if it would even be worth it after reading all the similar reviews. Overall I would not recommend this case unless the put some time into redesigning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst OtterBox Defender Series Pro ever. Do not purchase any New Defender Cases. I'm on my second Defender Series Pro (Blue no longer available) . The outer rubber stretches and no longer supports the inner case and phone. Im going on my third case in less then 6 months. I only use the holster as if you put in your pocket it will stretch out sooner. I have a Defender for an old LG v4 and the outer rubber is silicone and is still in good shape and has not ever needed to be replaced. This case sucks and under warranty its $10.00 every time you have to replace a defective poorly manufactured case. My bet is that the case only costs $10 or less to manufacture. The warranty is worthless.

Was shipped on UPS and last tracking was scanned out of Colorado in transit to Smyrna, TN. Tracking tells me everyday that it’s expected to be delivered by 7:00 pm since 12 Jan 2024. Not sure if I will ever receive it!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro defender case is excellent but I miss the vani Pro defender case is excellent but I miss the vanity hole on the back of it The professional version of the OtterBox case for iPhone 13 promax is not widely featured on Amazon or anywhere else a lot of people buy these other cases that are not pro cases and they complain about the case being too slippery the professional case is not slippery it’s excellent but it’s not featured or pushed as hard as it should be because it’s the best case they make

It's very durable and the peace of mind it brings knowing if she drops it is PRICELESS. She loves showing it off to all of her friends and coworkers.
