Every new phone gets the Otter....
Have had an Otter Box wrapped around every I-phone since I switched from a flip phone.
Protection for the phone; as well as, being able to use the holster, is perfect for me. Phone is safe and when I need to, I can clip the holster to a tool box, storage pocket in the boats or airplane... just works out great for me.

This is my second holster, the first came with my initial Otterbox. I have no damage to my iPhone because of the durable casing, The first holster broke after years of snapping it on and off the hard rubber casing. No damage to phone from the occasional drop. This is a great product and I will buy another if the phone size changes.

I had the same holster before, works fine, and due to some unusual circumstances, the plate broke, making me buy a new holster. The only issue is that sometimes the spring loaded leg gets caught under the lip of the release lever, happened on my previous holster as well as on the holster as well. Need a small screw driver to pry it in order to release. May be changing the shape in a very minimal way on either part would eliminate that issue.

Buttons hard to push
Been using several versions of the OtterBox Defender series including now on my iPhone 7. It does a great job defending, and that's why I got it. However, the buttons are hard to push to change sound levels. I am glad they have greatly improved the "doors" that you need to open to plugin the charger or move the sliding silent switch. Nonetheless, quite hard for people to change volume, can't imagine an older or physically challenged individual being able to do it.

Breaks too easy
I like every aspect of the Otterbox Defender series except the Holster. I've used the Defender with every Iphone Iv'e owned. And the holster has broken within a few months o purchasing every time. I end up buying a pouch to put my "Defender" covered phone in. Other than the holster, I've found the Otterbox Defender to be the best protection for my phone.

When I had a problem with my holster (I dropped it on cement and it broke), I ordered another one that got delayed in the holiday mails. I always use the holster with my Defender Otter Box. I've a few of them break (just the holster) because of young kids being rough or just wearing it out. I've never broken my iPhone despite drops, etc while its in an Defender Otter Box. I've used these cases for over 6 years.

Here’s where it gets interesting
I could sent back but the big one that I need cost 50$ (3-pieces) Versus $15 for just the holster belt clip and this is because you got to buy the case and rubber that goes with the holster bet clip
That turns me against otter box because if you can get the little one by itself you should be able to buy the big one by itself !!!

I purchased this for my 6s. It fits fine. Otterbox no longer sells the holster for the 6s. I know they would have replaced the entire case under their amazing warranty but I just wanted the holster. They do not last as long as the rest of the case does.

I have had two break on me. The first time it was the clip that broke (Otter did replace the entire unit; at that time you could not purchase the holder as a stand alone. The last time it was the body (This time I was able to purchase just the holster - the unit arrived to days early which was great). No picture I got rid of both.

The old Defender holster broke as I went to stand-up from a chair when caught on the arm during the first year I've had it.
Might've been covered by warranty but not worth the hassle for $15.

The holster keeps it securely on your belt or pants within easy reach and protects it from being dropped or lost. You won't sit on it like you would if in your back pocket. The best holder
I've had other holders before. I just got the iPhone 7 and wanted something better.
Talk about protection, this is it.
My only complaint is the swivel. I t needs to be stronger, I snag the first one getting into the car and it broke off.

Great Case . . . But
I have had a Defender case for my I phone for more than two years and it has protected the phone well. However, after about 13 to 15 months the plastic tab that holds the phone in the case breaks from material fatigue. The case holder is available as a replacement part. I am on my third one, and now keep a spare.

Love them but I break them
Just received my new holster. This is the 3rd one since I broke the previous 2. I don’t feel that they are faulty, i suspect wearing it vertically make it a bit more susceptical to being caught on my truck seat when entering the vehicle.

Dust gets between case and phone
I had the same case for my iPhone 6. This case, for my iPhone 7 seems to need cleaned more often. Dust gets down in between the phone and the case through the hole where the speaker is really bad. About every other day I'm taking the case apart to clean it because it appears dirty.

Otterbox phone holster
Bought this a week ago to replace the exact same holster I've had for 1.5 years. Great product. Replaced it because one of the three clips that holds the phone in the holster wore out/broke. I like the holster because I never lose track of my phone and it holds the phone solidly in place. Makes a great phone stand as well. Kudos to Otterbox folks.

This is my third Defender holster. It is generally a good product except that the belt clip inevitably will break. Even though I'm gentle with the holster, it doesn't seem to matter. The Christmas sale on this product allowed me to "stock up" in anticipation of future clip breakage.

Protects My New Phone
When I got my first I-phone, I bought an Otter Box Defender Series Holster. I think it has saved my phone from breakage numerous times. With the purchase of a new I-phone 7, I want the same protection. Occasionally, my phone gets dropped, and without the Holster, I expect something would get broken. I am on my 4 th iPhone and otter box defender! I have fallen on it, dropped it so many times on tile, concrete, even in the sprinkler. Never had a broken screen or any part on my iPhone. I even drove over the phone with my Carolla and the case broke, but my phone still keeps ticking!! I keep each phone for 2 years. Wouldn't try anything else!!

I've bought Defender series cases with holsters for my last two Iphones. The cases are outstanding but the hosters break after several years. The release clip wears out and breaks. Otter Box needs to redesign the holster to be more durable.

Fatastic Case for my iPhone
I have bought 3 Otterbox cases previously: two iPod Touches and my iPad Mini. These are fantastically made! When I got my first iPhone recently I had no hesitation in getting a Defender case, and I think it is about perfect. Note that this holster comes with the Defender case and fits it perfectly. I mistakenly ordered the holster with the case not realizing this and have gotten an RMA from Otterbox in 2 days over the weekend with a link to a shipping label and have returned the case. The holster swivels around the clip so you securely clip the Defender case in the holster in any position, vertical, horizontal, release clip up, down, phone facing the holster to protect the screen side, or facing away so you can use the flashlight with the phone in the case on your belt. "Hey Siri, turn on the flashlight". Wonderfully engineered out of indestructible polymer. Note it only fits the Defender cast and not the iPhone without a case.

Haven't started using the Defender case yet because I'm still waiting to recieve my iphone7. I have used the defender on other cell phones I'v had and it is a money saver because you don't have to worry about damageing your phone because it gets drop. I will be tradong in my iphone6 that is in mint condition because the defender holster protects the phone from dust, dents, scratches, etc. I've tryed other protective cases and they don't hold up like the defender does. The Otter defender case is the best case you can get. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!!

Have had this Defender case & holster for s few weeks. I still like the holster capability, but at first callers could not hear me if I left it in the holster, as I did with my Iphone5 in the same type holster. In order to get the rear mic to pick up sound I drilled a hole in the top corner of the holster. Seems to work much better now.

I always use a phone holster but this one needs a stronger spring to stay attached to my pants it falls off easy. Also they should design it with a break away spring they break to easy when caught on a chair or getting into a car.

Awkward to use!
While this holster is sturdy, it is awkward to use. The main issue I have is there is no hole for the camera. Every time I want to use the camera I have to take the holster off. By that time, many of the "camera moments" have passed. Plus, it make it hassle and frustrating! Additionally, it would be nice if the clip rotated so the phone could be worn horizontally.

I have bought iPhone 7 defender case, and it is great iPhone case. In past, my iPhone 5 case's slip host was broken, outter box sent another new one to me right way. One time my iPhone 5 with defender case was dropped from second floor down to first floor, this iPhone 5 had hit floor and bounds up and down three time without any damage. it was miracle.

Nice secure phone holder
I have bought several of these over the years for different phone models. I need to clip my phone on my belt for work. I can get to it quickly and it is held securely. Highly recommend this.

Most pleasant experience!
This was no doubt the most pleasant purchase made ever! We had a broken holster for my husbands iPhone for 2 months thinking we will never find what we need and it would take months to get. But we were so wrong. I should have looked on your site a long time ago. Just what we wanted and came so fast! Your company is great!

Good clip
I did not realize that you needed to have there phone cover in order to use there belly clip so it will not fit my IPhone)) which has a normal cover on it.
I will be sending it back and will be looking for something else to carry my phone in.

Very useful if you don't have enough pockets.
I like the holster. It is very functional and the most convenient way to carry my phone. The belt clip is not very sturdy, however. This is the third clip I have had for this phone due to broken clips. On the other hand, I love the Otter case. It has saved my phone on multiple occasions.

Only one issue
This is my 3rd holster clip in as many years.
Each one has broken in the same place on the plastic clip. Needs to be made of stronger material. Other than that my Otter phone case is the best to protect my iPhone 7.

Did Not Fit
Bought for my iPhone 8. It was way too big! Was so disappointed. I used the holster for an older phone and loved it. My old phone though had a heavier cover so maybe that’s what I need to get to make work. Mailing packaging was awful. No invoice; not able to reuse bag to return if necessary!

My wife and I run a service company where things happen and phones get broken, but I never let any of my employees have their phone until it’s protected by Otterbox. Love the product and the no hassle warranty. Thanks so much Otterbox, you will always have our business.

Very handy
I’ve owned Otterbox holsters for 3 different models of iPhones. Besides for the protection the Defender provides for my phone. The convenience of the holster can’t be beat.

Love the otter box Defender case.
Only one problem with belt case . I've gone through 4 of these the belt clip hinge keeps breaking at the pivit pin. Should be made out of metal instead of plastic.

Really great product
This is the third case i have bought, as i change phones, i consider it a necessity !
The defender case kept my iphone 4 in pristine condition all its life..7 years with no repairs, thanks to the safety of the case..now Im up to the iphone 7, and Im sure the defender will do the same !

Still the Best option for any iPhone
Fits as well as on my previous iPhone (an iPhone4, which after more than 10 years is still in pristine condition). The kickstand/belt clip works as described, and does so very well. And finally, despite being described as fitting several different models, fits my SE 3rd Gen, perfectly. Thank You Otterbox.
