Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works!!! I bought a new otter box case for my phone and it was different from my former one that had a protective cover that closed over the face. I bought the Alpha Glass Screen Saver and have had it less than a month. I fell asleep and my phone fell off my bed to the hardwood floor below face down and I just knew my phone was going to be shattered! I was stunned to see yes there were cracks in several places but only on the screen protector and my phone screen was totally protected! I just placed an ordered for a replacement and I would highly recommend everyone invest in one because for the price of an iPhone it’s well worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't last long This was a replacement as the first one I bought several years ago lasted for almost 2 years before I replaced it due to a crack. Installed the new one and in less than a week, it had a chip on the side and then proceeded to spider. The only good thing is that customer service was going to send out a new one due to the warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100% garbage I just got my replacement screen and it cracked in under two week, the first screen I had cracked within a month and I just lived with it for two years. These things are fragile trash, I should be receiving a 3rd screen because of warranty but I'm not to enthusiastic about it lasting more than a month. They are exorbitantly priced and low quality, what a bargain. And I'm still getting hit 8$ for shipping to salt the wound. I don't know what alternatives are out there but I recommend you find them.

I was a bit apprehensive over the difficulty of placing the Alpha Glass on my phone correctly, but the online video tutorial along with the equipment included in the kit ensured an easy transfer of the Glass from the box to my screen. The Alpha Glass is not noticeable when using the phone as it contours underneath the front-facing camera and the edges of the screen, but a thump against the face of the phone offers a solid sound that ensures maximum protection. Overall, as with all OtterBox items I have bought in my lifetime, I am once again very satisfied with this purchase!

It’s thicker than others on the market, but doesn’t interfere at all with the function of the touchscreen. I keep my phone in my otter box and wanted to keep the screen as new looking as the rest of the phone. Went on as easy as could be.

The tool for putting it on the phone isn’t the greatest but nevertheless you can get the glass on the phone. Expensive for what you get, competitive products have a lifetime guarantee so if you drop your phone and the glass protector breaks, they will send a new one out to you at no charge. I’m not aware that otterbox does that.

However, the edges near the top and bottom are continually peeling off more and more each day, leaving large distracting bubbles under the glass. Dissappointed given the price.

However, after only a couple of weeks of very careful use, the edge of the glass has chipped. It was in my hoodie front pocket while I was sitting in the car, and somehow cracked. Not impressed

And it works fine and all but the corners don’t stuck down. And it’s extremely annoying to constantly push them back down. Like. EXTREMELY. that’s really my only complaint.

Took it off to put in sim card and the very small rectangular piece of rubber that covered the right side "button" fell off. Luckily I found it on the floor and was able to re-attach it. Now know to remove the Otterbox on the opposite side so as not to disturb this button protector. If lost could not push button. Perhaps the box could be made so button protector does not fall off? Otherwise, love the case.

Peel backing off Alpha glass and using provided cloth you align and press into place pushing air bubbles out sides. Easy professional type installation.

It had cracked, chipped in 5 different spots along the edge of the alpha glass and it has lifted in 1 spot and gets worse everyday. Although I was able to get a replacement through warranty, I am not even interest in using this as it is such poor quality. I have used otterbox for years and they have always exceeded my expectations, but this alpha glass is no good. I cannot even remember any sort of impact that may have caused the damage. The phone is always in my purse or backpack and well protected.

The screen saver absorbed the impact of my drops and shattered instead of my actual screen. The reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star is because of all the product waste that comes with it. I feel the plastics used should be recyclable and possibly not so much packaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I have a problem with dropping my phone, so I needed a reliable screen protector. This is great, gets the job done. I found applying it slightly difficult, despite it coming with the plastic phone aligner. The plastic aligner definitely helped get it perfectly on at all the right points, I really liked that. But it was hard to get out all the air bubbles. I may have retried too many times which made it worse. In the end, I was able to get most of the bubbles out, but I still have a couple of small ones. You can only see the bubbles when the screen is off and the light hits the phone a certain way, so it's really not that much of an issue. I just wish it was a bit easier to get out all the bubbles! But regardless, great product and does as its supposed to.

The first two were a bit of a challenge and the third install was worse leaving more than several bits of dust underneath. Even with the guide I suggest taking them to someone more experienced with installing these.

But I have 2 air bubbles at the bottom of the screen. I would recommend it without the bubbles. It seems sturdy.

My Alpha glass has cracked on the first day in the corner where the phone case meets the screen. I tried smoothing an air bubble out then I noticed a crack. Other than that it is wonderful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alpha Glass Omega templet. I installed this a week ago on a XsMax in a otter box defender. If I were to do it again I would not remove the phone from the case. I used the supplied templet and it allowed the glass to be little low and when I redressed the phone in the defender it began separating from the screen leaving a huge bubble. I was able to gently lift and reposition the Glass carefully though and achieved an excellent bubble free result. I am very pleased with. SO with a defender as a case I would not use the template would not undress the phone the next time.

When I got it to the point where there were just a few, I tried to reinstall the Otterbox case. I couldn't get it closed properly due to the screen protector. I gave up and tossed the protector. A lot of money waisted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Corner and Edge Manufacturing Problem I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. The glass itself is excellent for visibility and touch screen usage. However the Die Cut on the corners and a couple of spots on the edges are bad. It seems as if the Die used to cut this glass was overused before maintenance was done on it. The edge on the corners especially have a bit of bend over / ripped more than cut creating an edge that does not lay flat against the screen leaving an area a few millimeters that does not seat onto the screen (leaves a raised bubble area between the corner of the glass and the screen.

Found out there was a defective edge on the item and immediately requested a replacement. I will try again with the replacement and then maybe add a better review. Pretty sure it is going to go bad as the first but I am optimistic.

I’m hoping this is just because the case came out so soon after the phone does and that they will adjust the dimensions or tolerances so this fits better...

I have always loved OtterBox and will never use any other case on my phone. The Alpha Glass, however, wasn’t as great as I expected - especially given the price. The edges didn’t adhere very well because I am finding little fuzzies all the way around the edges of the screen protector. I am pretty disappointed with it. OtterBox cases are great - the screen protector isn’t as great.

My biggest frustration is that the bottom of the screen protector will not stick to my phone. The screen protector was applied immediately after I took off the protective plastic on my new iPhone, so I know the screen was clean. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! I religiously purchase Otterbox cases and screen protectors for all my Apple products. It’s not cheap purchasing an iPhone or iPad and it’s equally not cheap to replace an Apple product once you’ve damaged it. Otterbox secures my purchase a hundred percent with a lifetime warranty. Who can beat that? The initial Alpha Glass install is tedious especially if you’re a perfectionist. I don’t like dust, smudging or uneven placement so getting the screen protector to screen is time consuming but once you do it correctly, it’s mated for life, and only a fall from a twelve foot skateboard halfpipe can separate the two.

He is the strict money person in the family and he freaked out when he saw how much the screen protector an case were. I told him our iPhone XS Max are made entirely of glass now and his phone needs to be protected. Once the case got here he immediately put them both on (the screen protector too) and he commented on the thinness of the Darth Vader case. I told him It was an Otter Box and It would get the job done.

This was to ensure it would fit with the case, the reviews I read, and the warranty. Easy install with provided tooling and online video. So far so good with durability.

I recently dropped the phone from a height of six feet and thought that I had cracked the screen of the phone which would have cost me $329 to replace. The Apple store representative examined the phone and advised me that the screen of the phone had not cracked but rather the Alpha Glass. I replaced the Alpha Glass and everything is back to normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and Sturdy Been using this defender series pro case for a few days now. It’s nice and sturdy and looks nice. It’s a bit heavy, but it’s okay. My car mount metal plate had to be placed on the outside of the case because the phone was too heavy to be placed on the inside. Overall, I’m loving the case and the alpha glass, and love the protection it gives to my new iPhone XS Max.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from iPhone Protection I’ve had the Alpha Glass for about 1-month and so far it’s good. I’m also using an Otterbox Defender case. I’ve used the Defender case on every iPhone I’ve owned since 2010 and have never broken a screen or damaged the case. I work in an industrial plant and the phone is always susceptible to damage. More so than an office environment. The new iPhone XS needed a glass protector because the otterbox for that specific phone does not have a cover. I’m impressed with the ease of installation and so far also the clarity. Time will tell for sure but so far - so good.

Not only does it not seem as good as your previous models on top of that you have to pay another fee for the separate glass cover. The defender series is perfect as soon as it comes out for this phone I’m getting rid of this one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Junk I just got this tempered glass and it cracked in less than 2 weeks. It didn’t fall or get hit by anything. It was on my lap in my vehicle and slid off my lap into the seat belt buckle and it cracked it. I could understand if it fell from a high distance but a 6” slide into a piece of plastic should not cause a tempered glass to crack. I love my otter box case and always use them but I won’t be using the glass anymore.

This past summer, the day before I was going on vacation, I was taking my two dogs to the vet. When I got to the vet I realized that I didn’t have my phone, and when I got home I couldn’t find my phone anywhere. Then I vaguely remembered putting my iPhone on top of my car before I left for the vet. Using Find my iPhone, we determined that my phone was about a mile from my house. We went searching for, and found it on the side of the road, it must’ve lasted a mile before it flew off the top of my car. To my surprise, there was not a mark or scratch on the phone, and it worked perfectly! I just got a new iPhone, and the sales woman tried to talk me into another brand of case, but I said no way! I just got the Defender and the Alpha Glass for iPhone xs, the Alpha Glass was very easy to install, and I feel my phone as protected to the max once again!

While the placing template is a nice touch, I still wound up with air bubbles and flecks. Furthermore, the protector did not do a good job of sealing itself, and I had to try to squeeze out air bubbles. I have protectors costing far less that were at least as good, if not better. Disappointed.

At this price level I expected perfection.

It was much easier and provided a much better look than the one I put on my previous phone. There are still just a couple of very small bubbles that I can't seem to get rid of but there barely noticeable. I'm very pleased with this screen protector.
