Two of the three would not install correctly, despite following all instructions included and watching the installation video - the actual protector cover would not peel off of the applicator. Of the protector that did work, it was fine and felt nice until my phone fell from about 1 ft height and the protector got scratched and ripped in two locations.

I bought this to go along with an otterbox case, when it arrived I spent a good 30 minutes watching the installation video, cleaning the glass table where I was going to apply it, and making sure I followed all the instructions to apply it, and even then, it did not go on perfectly and provides inadequate protection around the screen edges. I now have a brand new phone, with a jacked up screen protector, a waste of $$, and no instructions on how to remove it so I can even try again if I buy it again. Also I am extremely disappointed in how it doesn't even line up and protect the edges. I had great experience with an otterbox case for my previous phone for many years, but noticed that since the little area around the home button is left exposed, it will get scratched up through daily use and will and leave an obvious spot on an otherwise perfectly protected device. Would not buy this screen protector again, I would buy a different one instore and have them install it. Making sure that it actually protects the entire screen and not a 2mm gap towards the bottom and sides.

Purchased this screen protector since it was the only one I could find for my new S21.. went on ok with some bubbles that went away after a few days. Now every time I put in my purse or pocket it dents. You can see and feel the little dings. Not strong at all and I fear dropping my phone.

I didn't come with any sort of instructions and when I did get it on, tge bubbles stayed! Now I see that there is a great video posted after I wasted my money......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Protector Ever I bought this for the PROFANE price of $39.95. MORE THAN 10 times what I would pay from Amazon (3 pack for 9.99. These are the WORST screen protectors EVER! IMPOSSIBLE to install. Defective on arrival (the 'remove tab before installing' tab came off without removing the film making the installation impossible) now I have a phone that looks a mess! Sure, they brag about their warranty; but, the on-line warranty claim system is down and you can never get a hold of someone when you call, their phones are always backed up (what does that tell you about their product if you have to wait LITERALLY 45 minutes to speak with someone? -> a lot of people must be calling with issues). They need to pull this product from their line before they destroy what is left of their reputation. FORTY DOLLARS!!!! UGH!!!

It was installed with no bubbles, micro dots, dust or anyting. I only use Otterbox cases have been for probably the last 20 years oh, so I figured I would try their screen protector. I am very dissatisfied with the quality and performance after less than a month.

Also stating that some of the air bubbles take atleast 24hrs to disappear would have been nice to know. Unless it was over looked by me. And price is outrageous compared to other products with the same quality in film.

Needless to say our attempt was a fiasco and $40 wasted. Tried reaching out to customer service/warranty and..... CRICKETS!!! Love the cases, but this screen protector just plain sucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen protector stays on applicator. Bought this today for my new S21, and fought for a good 15 minutes to get it to work. I followed rhe instructions, and there was no "tab 2" anywhere. I went online and watched a video. When all was said and done, tge screen protector wouldn't adhere to the phone, and was STUCK on the applicator. I finally gave up, and attempted to pry the screen protector off the applicator with my nails and tweezers, and it was just about impossible. I ripped the ACTUAL protector, and almost broke a nail, and STILL couldn't get it off!

When you get them separated the screen material is stretched out of shape. And in the instructions it say's "hold tab #2" kept looking for the #2 . Can't find the number.

I was trying to apply the peel away part the whole time until I realized the screen protector was already peeled off with tab 1. So $40 completely wasted. Do not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORST OTTERBOX PRODUCT EVER I have NEVER written a negative review in my life, but I have been so frustrated with this product TWICE now to the point that I feel I have to write one. I purchased this product for my new phone, and the film on the sticky side would not come off. Then, after finally getting that to work, I put the screen protector on and it began peeling off after two weeks. After filing a warranty claim and getting a replacement for another $8, I went to put the new screen protector on and it had the same issue of the film not coming off the sticky side. After getting that, the screen protector did not align properly to the screen, despite me following the directions and having done this before correctly. Now, I have a slightly misaligned screen protector and a lot of frustration. If I try to remove it and correct the positioning, it won't restick (learned from a friend who had a similar issue. Quite honestly, the design for this product is horrible. I have been an Otterbox customer for 8 years now, and my family members have been for longer than that, with no issues. This was horrendous, though. I am rethinking my patronage with them now. Other screen protectors work just as well but with less headaches.

It was absolutely horrible to get on the phone without bubbles and goop all over. They were the worst screen protectors I've ever used and the instructions were not very good either especially for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very difficult to install Just to let you guys know the frustration of trying to install your alpha flex screen protector on my s21 5g phone. The tab 1 sticker came off and had to take a small knife to separate the under side of the protective film. After placing on the phone I voud not separate the final film from the protector as well and ended up wrinkling the protector at the top. Not sure if heat in shipping made the three layers adhere to one another but they did not want to separate. There is no easy way of separating without force and thsi should not be the case. This is the worst installation I've experienced with a simple screen protector.

The edges don't stay down, allowing dust and debris to get under the screen protector. When peeling step 1 away from the screen protector, the ENTIRE screen protector pulled away from the template so I had to apply it without it.

The screen protector did not release from the second removable shield and stick to the phone.p screen. I’ve successfully applying screen protectors to phones for years, and put another brand on this phone model without issue (wife’s phone. Overpriced, poorly thought out installation process. Love your cases, Otterbox. Won’t recommend your screen protector again, and won’t spend $40 to see if you figure it out. This seems to be a recurring theme on other posts. You need to have an outstanding product to justify the price. That includes ease of installation. Big fail. Sorry.

The second attempt, I followed the directions from the video and that resulted in the same outcome as the first. They need to pull this from the market and send this uncooked piece of meat back to the kitchen because the failure rate of this product is unacceptable.

And removal at the ends ripped it. Will never buy again, do not recommend. at all. poor quality design application. might protect screen well, I do not know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the money or hassle. I've always heard good things about Otterbox but never their screen protectors, and now I know why, atleast for this one in specific. The case design for your phone to sit in while you apply the protector is smart and intuitive, but the tab adhesive for the top part of the protector when you go to peel it off was FAR too strong for its own good, and stuck to the screen protector as I tried to peel it off. Came to find out that the adhesive was connected so greatly to the screen protector that it ripped off part of the top of the protector as I tried to take it off, and then it proceeded to peel off the rest of the protector from the phone, well after I had let it set in place. This led me to having to push all the bubbles out again, scratching up the front of my screen protector. This was not worth the money at all in my opinion and I'm very frustrated that I bought this thinking it would be a good product.

I have given up on this flex screen product. The removable backing will not properly pull away from the flexible screen material. When you get them separated after all the stretching and pulling, the screen material is stretched out of shape. Very disappointing.

I've had it on for 2 days now hoping it would sort itself out, unfortunately it only got worse. I tried working the bubbles out but it left horrible lines all over the screen. If I could leave 0 stars I honestly would.

The bubbles couldn't even be removed and it didn't go on well at all. I had to throw it out after spending over 50 CAD on it after shipping. It was a frustrating experience when I just wanted some extra protection since this is made specifically for the phone. Frustrating that I'm out over 50 dollars.

So I used the warranty process to get a second and I followed the directions exactly and it still came out with bubbles and marks left underneath. My boyfriend got the other (cheaper alpha glass and had no issues, so I'm pretty upset that I spent more money for a more difficult product.

I tried my very best, to apply this "Alpha FLEX" to my New S21 5G, but I did not get it aligned the 1st time! I had to remove and then re-apply! Only to fail by picking up dust, air bubbles, and misalignment by mm's! Tried to leave it on my screen and use supplied card/squeegee upside down, causing major scratch lines to Alpha FLEX screen protector! Not knowing what to do with it, I tossed it.. it was completely useless, not washable, or wipeable for reapplying... now I am hesitant or "iffy" on applying my wife's Alpha FLEX to her new S21!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awful Product I could not complete the installation because everything was attracted to the sticky side despite a clean environment (white cardboard dust from the packaging was still on the template even though I cleaned it, black particles from the template itself and black dust from the lint cloth were all attracted to it. I could not even wipe it off with water, it was just bad. Of course, I installed one of the old Otterbox screen protectors on an older phone right after with no issues. I think the flex plastic creates static that attracts more particles than the Alpha Glass.

I followed all of the instructions for installation and what resulted is a cheap feeling piece of flexible plastic that has no adhesive. The middle portion will stick to your screen but the edges will not. The film feels like cheap plastic and falls off every 5 seconds. This is a terrible product unlike what otterbox usually puts out. I work at night so I can't get them on the phone for a return. Save your money and buy a screen protector off of amazon.

I was determined not to mess it up so I read the instruction carefully , several times. It seemed oh so simple, or so it was supposed to be. I did not consider myself a nincompoop until I was done in by a screen protector. Now my poor phone is unprotected, sorry lil buddy. I thought by spending the extra money and buying a Name I totally trusted all would be well but I indeed was very wrong. I must now go invest in some bubble wrap and therapy. I beg you, do not suffer the same mistake I have.

I tried to use tweezer and a straight edge. My husband tried too because he's the one who told me that I should only use Otterbox. I pulled it off the phone and tried to pick the edge to peel it off. I can see where it is but it simply will not come off the protective plastic, no matter how hard I tried. I will be asking for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too sticky to install cleanly I bought the screen protector in conjunction with the rubberized Otterbox case. I've been delighted with the Otterbox case on my old phone, so I didn't hesitate to get one for my new phone. However, the old case came with a slide-in screen protector rather than an adhesive one. Every few months dust would find its way in between the phone's glass and the protective screen, so I'd have to disassemble the entire case and clean it. Having a protective screen that adhered to the glass would eliminate that maintenance task... or so I thought. Following the instructions, I cleaned the phone surface, fitted the self-adhesive protector to the alignment jig, and peeled off the film to expose the adhesive. But just as I was applying the screen a tiny, random flake of dust in the air settled on the phone; the instant the screen touched it, it formed a highly visible permanent pimple, about 5 times the diameter of the dust speck itself, which can not be removed because it's embedded in the adhesive. I had to remove and discard the screen protector because it can't be cleaned. I'm going to try to find a screen protector that doesn't come with any glue on it. I may have to disassemble it two or three times a year to clean it, but at least it can be cleaned. I'm still a fan of the Otterbox case, but the self-adhering screen protector seems like a better idea in theory than in practice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waste of money Went through 3 of these protectors. They leave bubbles that can't be removed. I was also questioned by otterbox why was I was generating a warranty claim? Yes they have a lifetime warranty but beware they also charge you shipping. Buyer beware. Don't waste your money on this screen protector. Very very hard to put on without having imperfections under the protector. I wish I could of return them for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a good value Bought two of these and failed to get either one installed correctly. Called Customer Service and paid $7.99 to get two more shipped to us. My wife's ended up with bubbles on the edges and mine has a crease across the middle of the screen. Since this is a premium priced option, including multiple screen protectors to give newbies a trial and error during install would be much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waste of money The installation was hoorible. It may have been me but it seems there should be aneasier way to keep the film covering from crumpling and leaving residue on the plexiglass cover. Once it was on it was filthy inside and useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase This is my second Otter Box purchase. I don't want to say I'm clumsy, but I dropped my previous Galaxy phone quite a bit. That phone was NEVER damaged and stayed protected in my Otter Box case. Naturally when I updated my previous phone the first thing I did was to purchase a new Otter Box and install my new phone in it before I unboxed or activated the phone.

Always love the cases, never an issue there... BUT, this time decided to try the Alpha Flex screen protector and followed directions to a "T." Turned out horribly with markings underneath the cover, bubbles as well. Was $39.99 down the drain and am left having to spend more now on yet another screen cover elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Disappointed Today, I purchased the Alpha Flex for my new Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G and the screen protector failed horribly. I have put plenty of these on in the past without issues but this one left a lot of air bubbles and after working out the air bubbles, left permanent marks on the screen protector. I ended up having to remove it. I have been purchasing Otter Box products for years, for both personal and business and have never had issues. I just wasted $40 and still need a screen protector!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waste of Money Great concept but the product itself is very bad. I have installed several screen protectors and have never had the results that I had with this one. Really liked the alignment tool and the instructions but was still left with air bubbles throughout the screen. I'm a huge fan of the Otterbox cases, for every Samsung phone I have owned the Commuter and Defender cases have protected my phones but this screen protector is just horrible.

I followed the instructions but there was no 2nd tab to peel so it ended up being wasted plastic - no screen protection. Do no buy this. It does not work.

After receiving it was clear that it would only protect from scratches and other very minor screen contact. Be extremely precise on the application, otherwise you have wasted your money.

The Alpha Flex looks great in the package, but when you try to put it on the phone it is very difficult to get it to stay in place while you are removing the alignment frame and it tends to peel back off increasing the possibility of getting dust or lint under it. Also, the edges don't conform to the curved edges of the screen, so all around the perimeter there is about 1/16 of an inch flapping loose. If it hadn't been so expensive, I would just peel it off and throw it away!

There were no directions. The actual protector did not come off as it was supposed to. I had to try peel off and try to put on phone and it was a huge fiasco mess. Do not purchase this screen protector. I will go back to the cheaper option from Amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scratch already First kit didn't work. Otter box was good and replaced that kit. Second time went on fine but within a week, a deep scratch is showing on it. If it scratches so easily, I don't think it will last long and I'm afraid my phone will also be scratched. Not very good protection. But, their cases are great. I used my last one for a very long time with no problems.

Unfortunately, there was no perforations between the glass film and the mask so I ended up not being able to apply the film to the glass, and, when I tried to separate the pieces my fingerprints stuck to the film, rendering it unusable. Really hoping I can get a replacement!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Measure twice.....Cut once!! I like the soft feel. No restrictions on touch sensitivity. Fits the screen area well and compliments my Commuter Case. It comes with a positioning cell attachment.....but of course I installed the Flex screen upside-down. Had it not been for that, I would have been very very happy. After pulling off and reinstalling I had a few air bubbles and the corners lifting ever so slightly (MY FAULT. Other than my complete incompetence this will do perfectly.

I read the instructions three times before trying to apply the screen protector to be sure I installed it correctly. The screen protector never separated from the top plastic layer and now I'm out $40. I trusted this product because the Otter Box phone cases are very durable and have never let me down before. Now I know their screen protectors are not of the same quality. I would like a refund.

The warranty is way too easy hey, 10 bucks to ship it out. I've never been a fan of a company who makes u pay for a replacement of their garbage products. Whatever, cheaper than the 40usd. Oh wait the product itself just sucks and does not work. I thought if there was 1 company I could trust with getting quality it would be here but I gues not. Was going to try 1 more time but had a look at the reviews and wow. What kind of sleezy company still sells this garbage. ITS DOES NOT WORK, TAKE IT OFF THE STORE! I wonder what the the response will be to this

When I went to pull of the top protective film it pulled the screen protector with it. Thought I got a bad one by mistake so requested another through the warranty. Second one did the same thing. Wouldn't stick to the phone and trying to remove the protective layer resulted in the protective screen breaking before the film would be removed. Don't waste your money and go look for a different type of screen protector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zero stars All seemed to be going well, had watched the install video they put out ahead of time, and when it came time to pull the protective film off the underside that's where I first came to the issue where it was difficult to get it separated from the screen protector. The glue was very sticky, for that I guess. Got it off without damaging it and pinned the protector to the tab and followed instructions to get it adhered with almost no bubbles and was looking great..... until I got to the step where you peel off the top frosted layer to reveal the protector. It would not peel. It continually peeled up with the layer that was supposed to release and little by little got worse and worse. I thought well ok, it's now really crazy but I need something on the phone until I get back to the store to replace it and as I'm trying to usemy fingernails to peel the top sheet off, the protector rips, and is STILL stuck to the top frosted layer the instructions say to peel away. I had to give up. I've placed it back in the packaging hoping that bestbuy can take it back and call it a manufacturing defect, because if you can't get the layers apart because the topis sticking to the protector better than the protector can stick to a screen... yeah... that's a manufacturing defect. I don't have high hopes for getting my money back though, and reality is they should pay me for my time spent in aggravation with a product this badly created.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the antimicrobial I had another in a different color.. but perfect to have black case on phone. Fits phone like a glove and the grip is great so does not slip. Only wish that it came with already built in screen and camera protectors, phone are more expensive and phone cases need to be able to protect the whole phone including the screen and camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miss the old Lifeproof cases... I haven't put this through rigorous testing yet, but I miss the older LifeProof cases that fully enclose the phone. I would love for my screen to be protected without buying an additional screen cover, and would love for the camera lenses to be protected.
