The XTENDEX Low-Cost HDMI Over Gigabit IP Extender multicasts digital video and audio signals to one or more receivers up to 330 feet away over a 1000Base-T Gigabit Network connected with CAT5e/6 cable. Each Low-Cost HDMI Over Gigabit IP Extender consists of a local unit that connects to an HDMI source, and a remote unit that connects to an HDMI display. The local and remote units can be connected together for a Pointto-Point connection via CATx or a Point-to-Many connection via a network switch. Support for multiple transmitters requires a managed network switch.

NTI XTENDEX ST-IPHD-LC (Local and Remote Unit) - video/audio extender - HDM is rated2.50 out of5 by2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from very poor productmy company has attempted to use these devices, and they are highly unreliable. Simple plug and play, but gambling if it works. Have had to repeatedly purchase again and again until I found a extender that works. Then wait by the clock because within no time they will fail. Constantly replacing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The NTI XTENDEX is an excellent value for HDMI over IP distribution.our company uses these multicast HDMI over IP streamers for one to one and one to many video distribution applications where the the extra frills associated with more expensive HDMI over IP extenders are not needed. PROS:I have found these to work really good as a traditional HDMI sender and receiver pair. they also really earn their keep when you use them as a one to many video distribution.these are multicast devices so put them on their own VLAN or closed network. The manufacturer also sells the receivers as an individual item for purchase.CONS:these are not 4K. That is not an issue for use in sports bars and other hospitality settings where live TV play back is the primary use.there is not any mounting brackets. you have to just zip them to something or use double-sided sticky foam.these do not use POE. You have to power them at each end. I have successfully used small POE injectors, like the kind you would use for IP cameras, to power these units remotely. The manufacturer does make a model with POE.conclusion:we have installed many dozens of these devices and have had very little trouble with them. video distribution is all you get, if you don't need 4K, IR pass-through, POE power, individually addressable units etc. then these units are for you.The cool thing about HDMI over IP is the ability to cheaply distribute video to displays and projectors using only a gigabit switch.if you are crafty with managed switches, you can create an HDMI over IP Matrix switcher by using VLANs.
