Only issue is the cover is cheap plastic that is hard to keep in one place and since the light is so powerful, you’ll read on a lot of blogs the same thing I deal with. You end up covering the light with the plastic cover and then can’t tell if the camera is on. It might seems strange but it becomes a problem. It’s too bad they don’t let you configure the light and too bad they use a cheap plastic removable cover. Everything else is perfect.

To be honest, after waiting three months for this and reading all of the reviews in the tech articles, I guess my expectations were just too great. The resolution is good and the sound seems OK, but my little Microsoft LifeCam HD 3000 camera seems to do as well for $130 less.. The adjustable viewing angle is nice, but I don't think it's worth the high price compared to other cameras.

The software recommended seems to be geared for gaming and really is not very well documented. The links don't seem to relate to someone not interested in gaming but using the camera for videoconferencing and making videos

Seems good so far but time will tell. Got a sleek, low profile look, unobtrusive. Costly though, plenty of cams which are half the cost and may do just as well but depends on individual needs. I just got greedy for the higher end...

The video is superb [assuming a decent video card] and the ability to use Zoom virtual backgrounds is a life saver, eliminating the use of whiteboard back drops. Overall, excellent value for the price.

The number on their site goes to someone's Voice Mail, Chat doesn't work and to email them you have to go through a dog and pony show so they have your information to give away. The camera is fine-- it lives up to what they said it was. BUT-- in order to change from the Monitor Clip to a tripod you have to be able to see a screw less than 1mm thick. There were no instructions on how to switch and losing that screw will mean that YOU are screwed. No instructions. No support. No replacement parts. Logitech support is the worst in the business and they apparently expect their customers to figure out their substandard engineering on their own.

So what i dont like is thr feeling of moving it from one computer to an other, lets between your personal laptop and work laptop. If Logitech pays attention to these subtle aspects it could use this it to make the next version better.

We use this little camera on a tripod to record training sessions. The high resolution stands up to much more expensive cameras and makes the presentation much more presentable. Plus a removable cord is great in case the plug gets damaged, try to do that with a camera half the cost.

I have one in my office and decided I needed one for my home office as well as an upgrade over the camera that is embedded in my laptop. This new one tracks my position as well, so that I am always centered on the screen. Very cool! I've had my previous one for at least 4 years, wouldn't go with any other cameral.

The Logitech Brio comes with the standard tripod mounting hole on the bottom that fits on any tripod similar to a digital camera and camcorder. There's not extra screw that you need unless your tripod is missing the adapter or screw itself. Camera works great and it's plug-n-play. Not additional drivers needed with Windows 10 and works great with Windows Hello.

The audio is good but not solid. The Logitech software is great that contains a slider for zoom, contrast, color depth, tilt and more. It was very easy to install and a well built webcam for any purpose.

So simple to set up, out of the box, connect a couple of cables and you are pretty much ready to go. Running neck and neck with ease of use is performance quality. Crisp, smooth images captured without any lag or delay. You have multiple camera angles at your disposal. I was able to fit several people in the frame without losing any picture quality. I was able to use the camera with my tripod/ring light combo. Super easy to attach, with no visible instability. Tiny bonus. If you have seen too many net espionage movies you will appreciate the privacy cover. I am now free to dance around the room like a crazy person without fear of accidentally broadcasting it to the world.

However, the software with the camera is weird. The camera loses autofocus and I will have to keep the cam controls open to reset it. The app seems to tie up the camera like you are recording with the software & trying to go live but there is nothing running and it will require a reboot to fix itself.

This webcam camera was absolutely easy to install and use. It has a stand that has a couple of options to adjust the postion of camera, the stand is detachable and can be used on a tripod stand as well for video recordings. I was absolutely amazed with the video quality of this camera. Ultra 4k HD produce a high quality image and the powerful lens zoom helps to focus on the necessary things only during video. The built in microphones has an excellent voice quality and noise reduction technology that helps the audio clarity to be heard without any difficulties. Whether i am doing a business call in morning or Evening ,it automatically adjusts the lighting. Best part about it is ,i can open my windows computer with this webcam because it has facial recognition feature. Overall i would say that its the best webcam interms of video image sharpness, audio quality, installation , lighting adjustments, surroundings adjustments. The privacy flap helps protecting your privacy where you dont want yourself to be exposed. I absolutely love it because it helped me a lot to for my presentation with amazing focus and clarity of image and audio to my colleagues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this webcam since my last 10 years old one It is a well made webcam. It feels a bit of a weight when holding it in the hand. The camera allows me to use the Windows Hello feature from Win10. I no longwe need to type the password to login anymore. The facial recognition fuction seems to be accurated. The clarity of the camera is excellent and works great with its auto focus function. The auto light adjustment is good as expected. It is very clear when I am on a zoom or MS Teams calls. The camera comes with a plastic flap to enhance security when it is not in use. I like this little piece of component. It gives me more secure when I am not using the camera and no need to unplug it all the time. I only wish Logitech can build that into the camera with a sliding door instead of a separate piece of plastic cover. The camera is big enough and they should be able to build that in. The price of this webcam is not cheap consider it is only a webcam. That is the only reason I gave a four stars. In summary, I really enjoy this webcam and it serves the purpose of what I need.

Easily adjustable, and setting up Windows Hello with it was a breeze. The included privacy shield is easily adjustable to block regular video but still allow Windows Hello login with the shield on.

Completely lacking instructions for downloading the software and detaching the camera for use on a tripod (it does not unscrew! - Google/YouTube to find the answers. Short answer is the camera wiggles off the mount with a seesaw motion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality & Easy to Use I was in the market for a new webcam for my home office and have been looking for one of a higher quality for some time. I've tried a few others with the same features but something will always be an issue with it. It would either be a difficult setup process that requires a separate application to manage it, or the quality isn't up to par with what it offers, or functionality issues would arise after only a few uses (disconnects, camera isn't detected, etc.). This one solves all of those problems and more. All I did was plug it in to my PC and it automatically was detected hardware to all of my applications that utilize a webcam feature. The quality was crisp and smooth with nearly any form of lighting around it with very little refocusing issues. Great product and will be looking forward to using it to its fullest extent.

The camera is listed, but if I try to switch it on and use, nothing happens (black window). Indicator on camera doesn't light green and mic is silent. Have to return it :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time webcam user!! I received the Logitech Brio 4K Ultra HD Webcam and as a first time user I was extremely impressed. When I opened the box the instructions were very easy and simple to set up. You can use the simple stand clip style if you're attaching to a laptop or TV or unscrew it and use a tripod. It came with a bag and a charging connector cord. I found it easy to set up to my smart TV and use with Skype. The picture clarity was clear and it didn't seem to have any distortion when in use. There is a simple privacy cover when your not using the device which is a huge plus! For being a first time user I didn't have any issues connecting it to my laptop,TV, or computer. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a webcam and very few setup steps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Webcam Form The Logitech Brio 4K Pro is an oblong, black device that clips to the top of your laptop or monitor. The unit itself is just over an inch tall, and just over an inch deep, and about 4 inches wide. If you plan to carry it around with you (it also comes with a drawstring pouch), it will add 3 ounces to your computer bag. The webcam has two omni-directional microphones, and a 4K, auto-focus sensor. It has a 90-degree wide angle field of view, and is capable of recording in 4K, 4K UHD, 1440p, 1080p, or 720p. At the lower resolutions (1080p and 720p), it can also record at 60 frames per second. It has a detachable privacy shield that clips on—a plastic flap that can fold down over the lens. The monitor clip can be removed so it can be mounted on a traditional tripod. The Logitech Brio 4K Pro is compatible with Windows Hello facial recognition. It also comes with software that lets you replace the background with an image of your choosing. Function You can use the detachable privacy shield to block the lens when the camera is not in use to prevent both hackers from potentially invading your privacy and the possibility of inadvertently enabling the camera when you’re not prepared. A white light on the front of the camera next to the Logitech logo lets you know when the Brio is active. The Logitech Brio software lets you tilt or pan the camera, and zoom in up to 5x. You can select from three Field of View settings: 65 degrees, 78 degrees or 90 degrees, and you can choose between a Standard or Wide Screen point of view. The Image Settings let you fine tune things like brightness, color intensity, and white balance. There is a third-party add-on, powered by Personify, that allows you to replace the background. It comes with a collection of background choices—a brick wall, a modern office, the Chicago skyline, etc,–or you can add your own background image. My Experience One of the things I love about the Brio is the fact that the USB Type-C cable is detachable. The cable that comes with the Brio is 5 feet long, which is more than sufficient for my needs while I’m sitting at my desk. It’s nice, though, to have the option of swapping it out for a longer one if necessary—or a shorter one if you don’t need an extra 2 or 3 feet of cable dangling around your desk. One of the main reasons I wanted to check out the Logitech Brio is that it’s compatible with Windows Hello. Getting the facial recognition authentication to work, however, was a challenge. There is an additional software download from Logitech to provide Windows Hello support for the Brio. Even after installing that software, though, I could not get my Surface Book to recognize or use the Brio for Windows Hello facial recognition. The solution I came up with was to disable the built-in front-facing webcam in Device Settings, which then forced Windows 10 to go to the next available camera. The solution is great for the 90-plus percent of the time I am working at my desk in my office. However, it means that I can’t use Windows Hello authentication on the Surface Book when I leave my office unless I go back into Device Settings and re-enable the front-facing webcam. The background replacement software—powered by Personify—is in beta, so you have to cut Logitech a little slack. It is sort of cool, in a novelty sort of way, but it definitely needs some work. When I installed the Logitech Brio software and the Personify add-on, it added options to my Start Menu just below the Logitech Camera Settings folder that contains only the Logitech Camera Settings app. I have one labeled LogitechBrio and one called LogiVirtualCam. I found out the hard way that those are the links for uninstalling those apps. Logitech should not add those to the Start Menu—or at least clearly label them as uninstall tools, and the Logitech Camera Settings tool should be a top line Start Menu item. It doesn’t make any sense to put it in a folder of the same name all by itself. Those issues aside, my experience with the Logitech Brio has been amazing. As a webcam, the device is incredible. The clarity of the image and sound is awesome—even when fully zoomed in. Actually, it’s a little too good when fully zoomed in. Nobody needs to see that much detail in my face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp, Crystal Clear! Logitech BRIO 4K Pro Webcam is sleek and simple with crystal clear clarity. Measures at 1×1×4 inches and weighs 11.8 ounces. The webcam is light weight, doesn't tip or unbalance my monitor at all. It was easy to set up by plugging it into the USB port. It is powered by USB 2.0 or 3.0. A USB 3.0 is required for 4K video output. I am using Windows 10 and it works without flaw. With two built in microphones the sound is clear, no crackling or voice warping. When on Skype, my family noticed a difference right away compared to my old webcam. Lighting was significantly better, there was no fuzziness or visual artifacting. HD video quality 4K/1080p/720p. Field of view 65/78/90. 5x digital zoom glass lens, autofocus. It also comes with a privacy cover when not in use. A beautiful webcam, easy to set up and use.

What impressed me most is once I installed the additional software, I was able to adjust the cameras settings so I could see myself clearly event though the camera is pointing at an open window on the south side of the building.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Webcam I'm very impressed with this webcam. The video and audio quality are fantastic! I've used a couple of other Logitech webcams including the C920, which is also great, but the BRIO is better in just about every way. In the box is the camera, a USB-C to USB-A cable, a soft carrying bag, and a clip-on privacy cover for the camera. The monitor mount is sturdy and easily adapts to different monitor thicknesses. The camera itself feels solid and well built. The front can be a little bit of a fingerprint magnet, but the carrying bag can be used to wipe them right off. After plugging in the camera you should go to the Logitech support site and download the BRIO camera settings software and firmware update. Both are simple to install. I usually have the camera connected to an iMac and I'm amazed at how much better the BRIO is than the built-in Apple camera, it's like night and day. The Apple camera is more zoomed in and not nearly as sharp. The BRIO is a bit more wide-angled (you can adjust the field of view or zoom it with the Logitech software if you want), has a much sharper image, and much better colors. The lighting at my desk isn't spectacular but the BRIO still gets a great image. I've used it for Skype and YouTube Live with no hiccups in the video or audio and no buffering or anything. In the three weeks that I've had it I've been really happy with the BRIO. If you regularly make video calls or create streaming video content then I'd highly recommend this camera.

Usually I am not a webcam person but I think I have gotten more use out of this webcam than all other webcams I have owned in the past whether built in or external. Besides the great video and sound quality, the IR sensor is my personal favorite with this device. With windows hello, a quick look at the camera and instantly unlocked, I haven't had to type my password in since I got the BRIO. Comes with a travel bag as well to carry with you as well if you bounce from workstation to workstation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment I have been using this camera now for a couple of weeks and am actually pretty impressed with it. I normally don't give much thought to webcams as the half dozen or so I have owned over the past 10 years have all been fairly cheap products in regards to build and performance quality. This camera is a game changer when it comes to personal video conferencing. The (free) software that comes with the camera isn't loaded with options, but the options that are there are important. Image formatting, HDR, FOV, and your standard display options (color, contrast, etc). The picture quality is top notch, so much so that I plan on doing some video recording with it in the near future. Even the physical build on this device screams quality. The unit has some weight to it and the threaded mount on the bottom seems to accept a lot of the standard mini tripod and other add-ons available for most standard video cameras on the market today.

I appreciate the flexibility the controls allow in adjusting the video parameters. Only issue was when get in zoom meetings, access to adjust controls, as well as zoom controls, are not accessible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Auto-focus is unreliable. Camera isn't fully compatible w Win 8.1 Image is crystal clear. I keep getting compliments on how much clearer my image is vs everyone else on a call. But the camera's not perfect. Auto-focus loses me at times and image goes blurry so I have to put my hand/face directly in front of the camera then slowly move back so that it can focus on me again. Also only works on Zoom and some other apps. Does not work on Google Hangouts or on my default camera app. I'm thinking this has more to do with the fact that I have Windows 8.1 than the camera itself but still annoyed Logitech has no way to troubleshoot the issue other than 'upgrade to Windows 10.

Dell won't look into it since they only guarantee 30 days past invoice. Yet this item was shipped from China and took over 2 months to get here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hardware, subpar software, Windows 10 issues Hardware wise, the BRIO is great, I love the streaming quality that I get, and the photo/video quality as well. The only reason that this is a 4 star review is that the software is not all that great. You require one piece of software to adjust the settings of the webcam, and a completely different piece of software to actually take pictures/video. The latter, Logi Capture, does not have a very intuitive setup, either. At least in my case, when trying to take a 'widescreen' picture, the setting for that was in the video section and not the picture section, to name one strange interface decision. Also, Windows 10 as of now is not fully compatible with the BRIO. Example, Windows 10's native Camera app cannot recognize it. The same thing also happens in Windows 10 apps, like Skype. However, you can by pass this by installing Skype as its own program. Which is not great, and I believe is more of a Microsoft issue than Logitech. Regardless, weird quirks aside, great piece of hardware.
