SUPERCHARGED WORK AND PLAY WITH NEXT-GEN AC WiFi ROUTER

Designed as a dual-purpose home office and entertainment WiFi router, the MAX-STREAM AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigabit WiFi Router (EA9500) delivers WiFi to multiple users on multiple devices at the same time and same speed.

Featuring MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology, this Next-Gen AC Router treats your devices--PCs, Smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones--as if each has its own dedicated router. Working in your home office, you'll enjoy lag-free videoconferencing and fast file transfer, even while the rest of the family is streaming 4K or HD media in the living room.

ROOM-TO-ROOM WiFi WITH SEAMLESS ROAMING

The MAX-STREAM AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigabit WiFi Router (EA9500) offers Seamless Roaming as you move around your home when linked with a MAX-STREAM Range Extender. With Seamless Roaming, your enabled wireless devices will automatically switch to the strongest WiFi signal, so you won't have to manually connect to the router or range extender when you move from one room to another--or even to your garden.** This means that you can move freely throughout your home while video chatting or streaming videos without experiencing dropped calls or buffering.

Pair a MAX-STREAM range extender such as the RE7000 with the AC5400 for more efficient home WiFi that delivers stronger, more powerful WiFi signal to all your devices.

POWERFUL PROCESSOR FOR SUPERCHARGED WiFi

If you're working in your home office, you can quickly download large files thanks to the MAX-STREAM's 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, which delivers the performance necessary for seamless videoconferencing and fast file transfer. The AC5400 is capable of handling multiple high-speed data streams at once--delivering faster WiFi speeds to more devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't use USB ports with Mac OSs newer than 10.10Lots of good things to say about this router. Wifi works fine, as do ethernet connections. HOWEVER, one reason I bought this unit was the USB ports, as I have several devices with USB interfaces that I wanted to connect to my network rather than directly to my computer, which is a late 2013 iMac 27" desktop running High Sierra OS (10.13.4). In order to connect a printer (or other device, apparently) you have to download LinkSys' USB Control Center, which requires an SXUPTP driver. This driver is incompatible with mac OSs above 10.10, so it doesn't download, and you're out of luck. NO USB connectivity. Leaves me with 5 devices (printer, flatbed scanner, Optical R/W drive, and a couple more minor ones, that I can't connect to the network. BUMMER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Parental control features; very poor and don't work properly.I purchased an EA9500 router and it works well when reset every 30 days or so. Not a problem with that! Coverage is good. Covers my 2900 square foot home very well. Pretty fast as well. Nice router and would purchase again when it stops working. All features work well except for one. If you want parental control features, don't purchase this router. The parental controls feature are very poor. You can only block 14 devices using the parental controls feature and less than 15 websites per device. For parents, you need to be able to block any website using a key word. There are more than 15 sites that should be blocked. With this router you can't do this. Called manufacturer and they said that they don't have any router that blocks per a key word or works better to block certain sites. This is all that they have. The other part of the parental controls is blocking time of day. This if flawed as well. I have the time to block internet usage at 1am to 6am. However, I try to use these blocked devices other times during the day and it still blocks even during non blocked hours. I have to disable parental controls to allow access the internet for devices with parental controls set and then enable it once again. This is rather easy to do from home or remotely using the app. You can turn off or on parental controls for all devices at the same time or individually.Would not purchase again because of this feature.
