The silent button has some cracks in it; I’m worried that the waterproof seal will break. I did get a light colored case but it’s getting so dang dirty!! The edges and buttons are turning gray. Very disappointed for such an expensive case!!!!

I love life proof cases had one for everyone of my I phones even my iPhone X but when I tried to order one for my I phone x max they were sold out waited for a month finally ordered one got express shipping soon as i opened the case the gasket fell off tried to put it in my self still came off I hope it will get fixed so I can order another one.

The clip that they want you to use will have your screen facing outward so the whole world can see who’s calling or sending you a text. I love the case and this is my 5th Fre’.case I have purchased from Lifeproof. They are the greatest case you can get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a shame I love life proof cases, however, I am not a fan of this one at all. It is poorly made and of lesser quality. Upon arrival, I had to find something to pry the case open as they no longer come with a “key”. So I used a quarter, that damaged the backing by denting it. After getting it opened, I noticed the waterproof rubber seal was peeling off with the case. I tried in vain to put the seal back in its place but Everytime I open the case, damaging it more as I pry it open, the seal comes out with it and is near impossible to put back in place. Overall, not impressed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite case I’ve always used life proof cases since my friend suggested them. He’s a motorcyclist and trusts theses cases when riding. From then on I’ve been buying these cases ever since. This is my 3rd iPhone and I love these cases for a few reasons: 1. Great all around protection (case is fully covered 2. Sleek design 3. Light weight 4. Not bulky at all compared to otterboxes I had to temporarily use the bulky otter box with a tempered glass cover. It made my phone weigh like a brick. It’s just so heavy. Because the new covers do not completely cover the phone I had to get a tempered glass front. Within 4 weeks it started to chip-slowly. I was so aggravated and worried my phone would get damaged. Good thing it wasn’t! My case came right on time. Like I said before-BEST case for your iPhone.

Really not happy about situation... I recommend the case but not the colors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Double trouble I purchased the Frè case. It came in defective. The inside seal was twisted and would not fit the case correctly, making the case not waterproof. The drop protection is still there, just not the waterproof aspect that I wanted. Customer service was amazing. They sent me a replacement, but it was again defective. The cover for the charging port fell apart as soon as I tried to open it. It’s a little pop latch with a metal rod through it. The rod pulled right out of the case. I’m not sure if it was just a bad overall experience or if it is the company itself. Overall, I will not purchase another life proof case or Otterbox. Seems since they switched to non-American made, the quality has gone downhill

I’ve taken my cell to the lakes and in the rain and in the snow. I’ve had my grandkids drop it, toss it and play with it and my cell always survives. When I turned in my cell to upgrade it’s always been in pristine condition that I get a great return for it. This case is awesome. The company will replace it if anything happens. My old phone had the home button and a few times it lifted. I made a phone call and the sent me out a new case. I just paid for shipping. I guarantee you will live these cases.

There seems to be air between the iPhone screen and the cover, which means that typing is a bear. Letters are skipped, punctuation is missed. It's awful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FRE IPhone XS Max It’s been about a week since I’ve had the FRE and so far so good, the biggest selling point for me was a built in screen protector and I’ve had no issues with dead spots and don’t have to apply any extra finger pressure to the screen for it to read. I did not do the water test which it said to do upon receipt but have no plans to ever take $1200 swimming with me and definitely not why I bought this case, I want a known brand for this investment. The case has a small print in my pocket compared to the DEFENDER Series I had for my last iPhone 6 Plus which I’m still getting used to, not a bad thing at all But find myself thinking that I’ve forgotten my phone somewhere and come to a complete stop checking my pockets to make sure my phone is there. That being said I am worried about dropping the phone due to the thickness of the case but I’ve had this same worry for every case I’ve ever bought and only time will tell, the Otter defender for my last iPhone was down right amazing (dropped the phone quite a few times within a few years with no cracks or damage) so I have high hopes for this case. I received this case the same day as my XS Max so I don’t have any experience with how the phone sounds uncased but have to say that I HEAR EVERYTHING through this case “kinda creepy” and also feels like I’m not getting the protection I need for a Life proof case but I’m taking a leap of faith here with good recommendations from people with prior phone models experience. This is all I have with the short amount of time with Lifeproof but hope that I have a much longer lasting experience with LIFEPROOF!

It fits the iPhone great, but there is dust coming into the case somehow. I’ve cleaned the phone several times with a microfiber cloth, and yet dust continues to come in the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs Improvement I have had Lifeproof cases before and I had been quite happy with them. I always purchase my case before I purchase my iphones. So, I received this case about a month ago and I put it on my new Xs Max that I purchased last week. This one needs some quality improvements. There are two things that are quite frustrating. First one is the typing accuracy and touch sensitivity being effected by the built in screen protector, which was not an issue with my previous Lifeproof cases. Sometimes I have to tap twice or tap quite hard on the screen for the phone to register that action. This also effect typing letters incorrectly, even on such a large phone. So I end up with correcting mistyped words. Second issue is a big deal as well. The plastic shaving of the connecting sides (both the front and back - inside the case have been done poorly so they get risk the seal integrity by shedding plastic between the sides while putting the case together. It is also quite frustrating because the case also sheds these plastic shavings/pieces randomdly inside the case-on the screen. So every other day or so, I notice a bump on my screen and a tiny piece of plastic inside my sealed case’s screen. I prefer to clean my case and phone perfectly and once the phone is in, I’d like to keep everything intact. Unfortunately, I constantly have to pull the case apart, clean out tiny plastic pieces effecting feel/look/functionality of the phone and than put it back together. I know Lifeproof is capable of producing cases better than that with a higher quality.

However, with this phone the color options are fading terribly it to the point it not close to the color I bought. It’s not what I wanted but for the protection it will do. Most likely will not purchase another one though very disappointed...

I’ve been getting the fully sealed Lifeproof cases for iPhones since they first made the fre cases.... the XS Max case doesn’t seem to be dust/sand/particle proof anymore!! Previous cases held up to dirt and sand much better than this go around!!! Constantly having to open my case daily to clean out the sand as I don’t want it to scratch my screen... will be taking off the front cover screen and putting on a glass screen protector!!! Disappointed this time around... quality getting worse :( most likely cause it’s otter box now :((

This one although really good has only one “poor subject” and it is in the screen protector. I’ve installed correctly etc but I believe that the iPhone XS Max is just too wide and there is a weird bubble that is created. It’s right in the middle of the screen! If I pull the outside edge of the case it tightens up and the bubble is gone but the bubble comes back pretty quick.

The appearance is fine but the functionality falls short of expectation. The screen guard does not sit closely to the phone screen which results in pressing down to accomplish tasks which has aggravated my RSI. However, the appearance seems to be fine. I would not recommend buying it due to its failure to meet ergonomic needs.

My only complaint is that the rubber gasket likes to pop out of the channel so it’s a little difficult to get the phone in it. But once the phone is in it it’s still water proof. Face ID still works flawlessly al buttons are still easy to press and camera quality does not suffer.

However, I have already had to reopen the case twice to clean out particulates that managed to get inside the case between the screen protector and the device. Otherwise I like the look and feel of the case. I have not tested it yet for the water resistance, to be honest, I won't sue to the particulate issue I previously mentioned.

THIS YEAR’S Fre, for the iPhone XS, accomplished that, unlike last year’s, for the iPhone X. The prior model did not have a black and grey color. Instead, each option, even black, had an obnoxiously bright neon aspect. The screen protector has less grain to it, compared to last year. Minimal rainbowing, as well. Would recommend the 2018 version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally waterproof and sand proof This is the 3rd fire that I’ve had for different iPhones. I use this case when I go to the Carribean in order to use at the beach. I go in the water with it and have never had a problem. There are a few grains of sand that tend to get into the display, but nothing that would be concerning. The only thing I don’t like is that the screen gets scratched very easily and because I’m OCD with a clean screen it bothers me, other than that it’s a perfect case for my vacations !

I love the color of the case, however it does stain easily! within a few days the edges got stained from my jeans but im sure that I could get it to come off. When i receved the case the green rubber piece was falling out and it made it pretty hard to install. It protects my phone very well. The Rubber coating around the edge of the case chips/peels fairly easily after you’ve dropped it but it doesnt effect how the case works. I am happy with the case!

Being that I needed the case, my husband and I tried our best to get it back on. I have already requested a new case. I am disappointed and will more than likely get a refund if this next one comes flawed as well. Feel like the quality has gone downhill, and I am one that doesn’t complain.

They are lightweight but still protect my phone. However, I am a bit disappointed in my most recent purchase. The plastic screen does not seem to lay flat against the phone, making it a bit frustrating to use the touch screen. It does the trick to protect my phone, but it is not nearly as user friendly as previous versions of the same case.

In comparison the Lifeproof Fre is THE best option. The fit is spot on, screen is very responsive as if there wasn’t a cover there. It doesn’t make an already large phone feel bulky and is very sleek. When you consider the phone costs over £1k it’s worth investing in a case that will protect it!

Life proof cases have great protection for your device, especially when you invest a lot of money into that phone. The screen quality of the last few lifeproof cases I have purchased have been disappointing to put it mildly. No matter how clean, how dry — you will never escape the “rainbow effect” that happens between your phone screen and the plastic of the lifeproof. This is even more annoying in the sunlight, as you have to adjust your viewing angle of the device to make out what is on the screen underneath these strange colored circles. Returning the case — hope for improvement in the future.

I have had to replace it about every 5-6 months. I must admit that's I use the this phone and case for work for a continuous 15-16 hours per day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyday use I really like the case but only gave it 2 stars, the built in screen protector makes the screen not very sensitive for texting and using apps! I was hoping life proof got this issue fixed but it doesn’t look to be the case!

It’s accuracy, for turning the phone on or logging in, depends on all the plastic parts snapping together perfectly which is a rare moment! I much prefer my Otterbox Case for the Apple 7 Plus. Everything worked perfectly and the screen was completely protected. The present Otterbox case for the Xs MAX has NO complete screen coverage, only a thin expensive Alpha Glass screen protector that only PARTIALLY covers the phone screen which is why I ordered the Lifeproof Fre which is water proof and HAS total screen protection. The Lifeproof Fre is some expensive Case made of cheap plastic Leggo style parts that sometime snap perfectly together but many times not. The one I am presently using happens to be the SECOND case that the company sent to me. The first case I received from my preorder was DEFECTIVE! The Lifeproof customer service was GREAT and shipped out a replacement immediately but It wasn’t a good start to a new relationship at all! Will be waiting for an Otterbox version of this same model.When it comes out I will consider myself truly “Fre” of this Nightmare Case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Case was a major disappointment I was excited to get the case. I’ve had a iPhone 5s & 6s I kept both in lifeproof cases never had a issue. Unfortunately when I purchased the new iPhone xs max I also purchased the lifeproof case for it. Needless to say that the case always looked as if I wet the front of my phone before I put it in the case. That caused my screen to be distorted. Needless to say I was Greatly disappointed in this case. I have a expensive phone so I went out got a top notch case for protection, I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

I have already dropped it a few times, no issues. I also placed a glass screen protector and still works well. Extremely responsive & no issues with wireless charging while case is on the phone. Love the product...been with life proof since my iPhone 6

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t buy this I bought this case when I got my iPhone XS Max because I wanted something that was good and could really protect my phone. I ended up buying the Black Asphalt case and it comes with a screen protector attached so I was like hey might as well. But this phone case within seconds I opened it was full of lint and dust that wouldn’t come off and the screen protector makes my screen look strange and always gives off a glare. The screen also makes my camera very blurry which defeats the main feature of this phone. Overall I really wasn’t happy with my purchase and if I could get my money back I would because I spent almost $100 on this case and I really want to switch it.

After buying it, I read the reviews and they were very mixed which made me panic a bit and think about returning it. However when I got the case it was completely different. It’s absolutely great. I don’t know what anyone else was complaining about in some reviews. It’s a brilliant case and worth every penney , if not more. Complete peace of mind when I have the case on the phone

Fits as expected, light weight, works with wireless chargers just fine, screen protector does a fine job and doesn't interfere with usage. Radios work fine (Wi-Fi/BT/Cell). Excellent multi-sport/outdoors case!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my previous experience When I had my iPhone 7 Plus, I had so many issues with Nuud case. I repeatedly had to send it back for another one. I pretty much had given up on Lifeproof. I just recently purchased a case for my iPhone XS Max case. The only issue that I had that the case was damaged at the bottom when I received it but another one was shipped out immediately. Other than that, the sound quality has been great from my caller’s/receiver’s end. I’m hoping that I will continue to be satisfied with this case. The only thing that I hate is the material of the case. The rubber part on the front gets dirty too quick.

In fact while getting my new iPhone in the store another random customer was looking at cases and I said "Get the Lifeproof one, its amazing". I have been using Lifeproof cases since my iPhone 5 and I refuse to use another case. I have taken my phones snorkling, swimming, hiking, to sporting events, and even on a 3 week adventure in Europe. I have dropped my phone down 3 rows of bleachers at a college football game, in the road, face down on the tile floor in my kitchen, and even about 3 feet down while trying to take a photo at the Colosseum in Rome! I also love how lifeproof will replace a case should normal wear and tear put it out of commission. BEST CASES EVER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kayaking This is the second iPhone that I’ve owned and protected with the Fre’ Lifeproof . The first one was dropped in a lake in about 2.5 feet of water and it survived ! My latest iPhone 10s max has’nt been abused as much as my last iPhone. That is, I try not to carry it at work all the time, where it would constantly get dropped out of my pocket . I wish they would make the life jacket floaty, like they do for the iPad. That would be great, especially if I dropped it kayaking, it would float, instead of sinking!
