Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good CD player I've only recently purchased but has worked as I have expected. It is a nice, compact player. I have yet to try to burn anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used once and now it doesn't work at all. I bought this DVD Writer from Amazon on February 24, 2018. When I got it, I plugged it in and tested it. It read a CD and it wrote a CD with no issues. I put it into a drawer and it just sat there for the past year and a half. Today I took it out to use it and it does not work. I plug it in and nothing happens. I tried it on 2 Desktops and 2 Laptops. Very disappointed in the quality of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great but there is a problem for me it works but it sometimes skips files on a disc i think it may be because jamless play is also affecting data discs if there is a way to fix this i will give 5 stars [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product The product works great on my Mac computer, but it's a little bit difficult to use with my Microsoft surface laptop. I'll have to download software in order to for the computer to recognize the DVD player. I wish the DVD player came with software that would've made this whole process a lot more simple. Rated 5 out of 5 by from GP65NS60 External DVD Drive Bought this about a month ago when I upgraded my computer and it did not have DVD capability which I need. The GP65NS60 is small and compact, runs quietly, does what it is supposed to do and meets my needs. It was plug and play on my IMAC and has performed flawlessly. A very good product. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Device A neighbor (a retired IT Specialist) recommended this device. The unit works really well and provides many nice features. The purchase point on the device was super attractive also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from doesn't work I bought this when I bought my new windows 10 computer. Plugged it in, and it doesn't play the DVD. No directions, no support. So I have no idea why I can't watch the movie. I loaded the Cyberlink software it comes with, which so far seems like it's pointless and unrelated to this DVD player. No way to play DVD's with the software that it comes with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Windows 10 Burning Problems! This is less of a review, and more of a guide. If you're not able to burn a disc on Windows 10 ensure that you're connecting to a USB 2.0 (not 3.0) port on your computer. It would seem the device doesn't support USB 3.0 for writing purposes (reads are fine though).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, well worth the cost. I've been using the DVD writer extensively and have had no issues with it. The data is easily collected, burned to disc and is compatible with all other DVD's I currently use with my computer. Excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great on iMac Late 2015...but Cyberlink Disc no issues running on my iMac Late 2015. But it seems theCyberlink disc is for Windows only... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good tool I bought this to play videos on my computer and it works great. It also shows that it can be used with a TV but I found only for digital video like MP4s, not DVDs. Not a problem for me but the documentation was not clear. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wasn't told cannot BURN unless one buys a plan. I did not know, and salesperson did not tell me when buying the external LG cd/dvd/ player I would only be able to BURN several times. Afterwards, must buy an on-going plan to continue to BURN stuff. I'm disappointed in not being told from the salesperson before I bought the unit, and your lousy policy of having to buy plans to BURN. Therefore, I will only play cd's and dvd's and not BURN anything. I'll see if you begin to charge me for playing my unit in the future. If so, then I'll throw the unit in the garbage. Sincerely, Luciano

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent So Far I have owned this for a few years now. I received it as a gift. I've only used it a handful of times but, it worked just fine. It will read discs that the internal drive (same brand in my desktop will not. That has been its primary use -- to serve as a backup when my primary drive doesn't function properly which, happens far too frequently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not reliable I bought this writer a few years ago. Used it a couple of times to listen to music from my CDs. Never burned with it. It was on the shelf until today, I tried to listen to one of the CDs and it doesn't work at all. I really surprised. Using for years different electronic products by LG and trusting the quality, I really surprised.
