Rated 5 out of 5 byHollywoodNorth from A WORKHORSE THAT WILL GROW WITH YOU....I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Not being a tech expert, I pretty much rely on being intuitive when it comes to navigating new devices….with the quick set up and user guides coming into play when necessary. Out of the box, this printer was pretty much ready to go to work even before getting into the details of a more advanced set up. Other then removing packing tape that secured the unit in the box during transit, no assembly required. What this product does well: This Lexmark printer is a real workhorse for our small office. We’re quite eco-conscious along with always watching our overhead closely. The eco-friendly features on this unit, both direct to consumer and aftermarket, make this a real winner hands down. The ability to have one multifunction device that we can print, scan, copy, and fax from a variety of desktop, laptop, and mobile (more on that later) platforms parading through the office is paramount to our success. Product instructions (user guide) took me a few minutes to find on the Lexmark website. Again, liked not having a printed book being eco-friendly. Instructions were quite straightforward but I did feel they were a bit vague at times when it came to achieving some of the more complicated settings. Most definite improvements needed as outlined below in the IMPROVEMENTS section. The print rate speed was outstanding in comparison to our previous multifunction monochrome laser. Also, the ability to add up to three more paper trays for increased capacity on large jobs was another feature that set this unit above others we’ve worked with. The 1 GB of memory along with the 1Ghz dual core processor put our old multifunction with it’s 256 mb of memory in the dust. I would say the product definitely meets my expectations when it comes to value for your dollar vs. features being offered. Favorite features:Outstanding that the unit has a print rate of 46 pages per minute! We were blown away how quickly we were able to print out a training manual on the fly over our old multifunction, monochrome printer. Loved the “one button” connectivity of printer to our secured Wi-Fi and not having to worry about an unsecured network. Energy and paper management features using the Eco-mode setting automatically assist you in making your best choices tailored to your needs. The Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program was also a big plus in our “recycle/reuse” mindset for replenishment of supplies. Double sided printing ability on the unit was also a favorite for us in minimizing our footprint. Improvements: Lexmark Mobile Print app gave me a real challenge to start. I wanted to connect my iPhone to the printer. I managed to get the Lexmark Mobile Assistant app to connect between my iPhone and the printer. However, Mobile Assistant app said to print from my mobile device, I needed to download the Mobile Print app. I tried all three ways of connecting several times, all to no avail. Very frustrating and still unable to send a print job from my iPhone to the printer. Read through the manual several times and no mention of how to connect. Further, the “ How To Video” on the Lexmark Mobile Print app takes me to their website. Finally discovering the video at the bottom of the page, it just shows an animation of all types of devices connecting to the printer. No indication of “how to” though. This DEFINITELY needs work. Further, on clicking the “recycle & dispose” link on the downloadable user guide, I was taken to a “dead page” saying “Oh No! Page not found.” I would most definitely expect a better presentation on something that is so crucial to both our planet & our self’s well being. On further investigation, several dead links also came up on “maintain, learn & use, & troubleshoot a problem”. Not acceptable. Also would have liked to have seen a connector cable included in the box – USB – just to make it “plug & play” out of the box. There was no mention that the cable was not included on the outside of the box (and would need to be purchased). Luckily we had our old unit’s cable available but could imagine a new owner being put out on this oversight once they got it home. Would definitely advise outside of box be labeled that “Ethernet, USB, & Parallel cables NOT INCLUDED”.Overall, I think this is a solidly built printer both inside & out. The array of features, network security, ease of use, and eco-friendly abilities will ensure this will be a staple in your office for many years to come without the worry of becoming obsolete. This is one efficient workhorse that will grow with your business and you will thank yourself for when you analyze your cost/profit margin on this prize.

Rated 5 out of 5 byCrystal from Love the size and performance qualityThe Lexmark MB2546 is a great printer. Its not as bulky but performs as if it were a full industrially printer. I have the opportunity to pint small invitations on cards stock, there was not issues with jammed paper and all 50 pages of heavy weighted paper shot out with a breeze with no smudge. The quality of the product meet my and the team`s expectations based on quality and speed. Provided that multiple use this product you feed efficient and fast results. One of my favorite features is printing from an outside location with the app. Sometimes I come across documents outside the office and would like to print or even far away from the location of the printer while in the building. The product was easy to assemble and digitally set up. I would be ideal if printing front and back for the paper to feed from the tray and not the feeder in the front. My project was stalled due to no knowing. I would definitely recommend this product for an office and at home setting. easy to used and fast and efficient for large and small printing jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 bytullysdad from printer reviewI received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. After unboxing the printer I noticed that there was not an owner`s manual or detailed installation/setup procedures. I initially tried hooking up with a USB cable that I have another printer hooked up with, but could not get my windows 10 PC to recognize it. I then googled some information about setting up a printer wirelessly and was able to get the printer up and running. The printer is super fast even when printing as duplex. Startup time from sleep mode is about 5 seconds which I would rate as excellent. Copying function works perfectly. I tested with multiple sheet inputs and double sided and copy speed was excellent. As I do not have a home phone line I was not able to test the faxing function, but would expect it to work well.I ran into trouble testing the scanning function. Since the printer is hooked up wirelessly I am guessing that`s where the problem lies. I tried working through the menu and creating a folder on my C:\ drive for the scan to go to, but it did not worked. I tried going through the settings and couldn`t figure it out, and I consider myself pretty technical. Again, a printed user manual may have come in handy for this. All in all, I was quite impressed with the printer. It is very fast and has good quality printing with alot of functionality. I would definitely recommend it. I would recommend that Lexmark put a hardcopy of the user manual in the box to assist with both setup and operation of the printer.Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 byLisa1 from Speed of printing is amazingI received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I was able to unpack and set-up the printer pretty easily. The instructions were pretty clear and to the point. I ran into a snag when I was setting up the printer. Once I had the printer plugged in and all set up to go I was prompted to go through menu of settings on the printer. I got stuck when it asked what my IP address was. I tried multiple IP addresses and I could not properly finish the set-up so I reached out to STARS and told them I was not able to finish set-up and needed technical assistance. STARS Focus Pointe Global provided me with a customer service telephone number and also a link to contacting customer support. My preference was to call customer support on the telephone. I was frustrated with the language barrier. When companies outsource technical support the company loses points in my book as they are trying to get the most for the dollar. For the consumer it is very frustrating trying to talk to a rep. who is reading from a script with an accent that is typical for outsourced technical support and it makes me more frustrated in dealing with tech support. It also tells me the company is more about the money/profit than the customers in a sense because they are willing to have the language accent barrier which frustrates me as a customer. So customer support is not as important as the profit. So the rep. was able to help me with the IP address, but she kept interrupting me which was frustrating and I think that was due to her lack of expertise and also accent barrier. I like that the tech was able to login via a program to my computer to check my settings and ensure that the correct settings were selected. The tech support rep was able to have me test the fax over the phone – both receiving and sending which worked.I love the printer and how quickly it prints pages. It quite impressive compared to my HP printer which is about 4 years old. The speed printing happens to be my favorite feature.I also set-up wireless printing from my telephone. What I don’t like is that the USB seems to have to be connected to the printer in order for jobs to print. I don’t understand this and maybe it is a settings issue but my old printer (4 years old) everything could be done without printer having to be plugged into the computer. So if I want to print when downstairs on another floor I am not able to do that without plugging into computer. However, once I connect to USB from printer the jobs I previously sent to printer print out. That would be the only improvement I would suggest is to truly be wireless. It would have been helpful if I had a sheet of paper that takes me to a web site to the printer manual for trouble-shooting issues and set-up, telling me types of maintenance/upkeep I might need in the future (such as new drum) and also size of the toner refills. My overall impression is it’s a high quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 byLaShonnaD from This product is good, but am unable to setup the scanner.I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The best part of this printer is its ability to print quickly. My favorite feature of this product is the ease is the fax. The instructions were not included in the box, but the printer gave instructions for basic setup; however, there aren't enough instructions on how to use the scanner. To set up the printer was easy, but I still unable to setup the scanner. This printer is better than some printers that I have used. The quality of the print is better than some other small office printers. The product meet every expectation except for the inability to setup the scanner. I would insist that printed instructions be included in the box. Overall the product is better than most printers I have used.
