Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great load pc, powerful and fast This was on a great labor day sale couldn't pass it up. 32 gig ram, 1 tb ssd, 4K and a video card. Only 2k. Setup was easy no issues at all. Lenovo pre registered my warranty and delivery was fast. Awesome experience. Only down side was no network connection, has a special dongel connection but service desk chat couldn't tell me the right one to buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life I bought this laptop a few months ago and I am not happy with 1. The battery life, 2. The inability to add or swap out an additional battery. Admittedly I am running optimized for performance on a high end version but 2.5 hours is rather poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of power in a lightweight pacakge The X1 is very powerful, surprisingly light, and has great ergonomics. The diversity of ports has been helpful for me as a power user. This laptop runs Creative Cloud apps with no hiccups, and the ethernet adapter lets me take full advantage of gigabit fiber. I had a few hiccups with Lenovo system updates to start, and the display is OK but not great. But no major complaints. This is a very good laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and a great value Bought this a month ago and it’s been working perfectly. Any use I have, whether it is editing photos or playing LoL, this machine does it all. My configuration was pretty powerful and fact that the RAM and the Storage can be upgraded is a HUGE pro. Props to Lenovo for great accessibility. Two things that bother me are that the fn and ctrl keys are flipped, at least from what I am used to. Also the pg up and pg dn buttons are too close to the left and right arrow keys, so I often find myself jumping down screens when I only want the next page. Other than that, it’s a good product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every ThinkPad I buy is worse than the last one. After barely using it, I developed dead pixels. Now the screen is completely black, except for the splash screen and if I boot on a USB. So aside from the pixels, I'm guessing it's the GPU, which can't be replaced. I spent a fortune on this laptop and I wish I could give it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Choice for Marketing Professional This is my first experience with Lenovo as I have been a loyal supporter of Asus in previous years. I decided to give this laptop a try because it checked all my boxes for performance standards. It may not look as fancy, pretty or unique as other competitors but it performs well and feels like it will last a long time. I like that the hinge is one long piece as other laptops I've had were two small hinges that broke down throughout years of daily use. The glare-free screen is a big plus compared to my last computer! The keyboard types nicely, however, the red toggle in the middle of the keyboard seems useless. One thing Lenovo could improve on is their audio and visual features. The speakers and camera are lacking compared to what I had on a cheaper computer of a different brand but those features are deal breakers for me as I use this laptop for work. Overall, great computer for doing my work as a Social Media and Email Marketing Professional!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I was looking for... I spent months researching laptops before I decided on my purchase, and I could not be any happier with the one I made and price. I was looking for laptop that had a processor with at least 6 cores, with a 500 nits display, and graphics card so system memory would not have to be shared when required and could support multiple displays. I wanted a laptop that allowed the memory and SSD to be upgraded, as well as provide an option for a second SSD. I wanted port options for USB as well as Thunderbolt so I would not have to purchase new cables and external devices. I required a durable laptop for travel and remote use, so the Mil specs is a bonus. I wanted all this, and I wanted it at a reasonable price. I run several applications: Office 360; Visio Pro; VMWare Workstation Pro; GNS3; Cisco IOSv; Cisco Packet Tracer; Wireshark; Putty.; IntelliJ IDEA; Visual Studio Code; Corel Draw Graphic Suite. The Extreme X1 provides the performance and functions I require to do my job and training,. The Lenovo Extreme X1 has met my expectation and I am incredibly happy. Forgot to mention the keyboard, Awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great PC but needs better dock/port rep options A beast of a PC for its size. The extremes are great PCs in a compact package especially with regards to the GPU and its capabilities. My only complain is the lack of a true dock or a more reliable port replicator. While the PC itself is mostly stable, I have had 2 extreme USB-C replicators stop working after either a bios update or thunderbolt update. In both cases, I ended up having to use a lesser port replicator. As a result of this, the USB-C port would behave oddly as well and it did not matter which cable or port replicator was in use. I would just have to wait until the PC decided to sort out the issue to some extent and eventually the port would be fine again. This was often after weeks though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable laptop for 3D CAD software! Pros for this machine: very lightweight yet solid feeling, exellent selection of ports--including the dedicated power port (I'm not liking the trend of usb-c for all ports and power) and a SD card reader. The integrated camera cover is a great touch. Powerful I-9 processor and 4 gb video card. Keyboard feel and layout is the best around, but the backlighting functionality could be improved. Customizable chasis with easy to access RAM & (2) SSD slots. Cons: batterly life is poor with my 4K screen, and it gets warm when under full processling load, but those are fair compromises. I use this machine for architectural 3D cad software, its great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenovo Thinkpad 15" i9, 16G Ram, SSD Perfect laptop for what I need. i9 processor, 16 GB Ram, 500 GB SSD and more. I replaced my old Lenovo Yoga 2 pro with this one. At the time of purchase (Feb 2021), Corey, sales person from Lenovo, worked with me to get the best deal at the time for what I needed. I'm very pleased with this machine. I went from a 13" screen to 15" screen and the performance exceeds that of my old laptop which I passed down to my family members.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine for Architects and Engineers I am a self employed engineer in the Architecture-Engineering-Construction world. I recently needed a new laptop. I did my research, checked specifically what Autodesk required to run Revit and googled what other on-line reviews and recommendations were out there. Lenovo computers came up repeatedly as recommended machines. I have a Lenovo Yoga for home use and knew it was a tank. I appreciate that Lenovo allowed me to search and select computers by specifications. I was able to find exactly what I was after. I am thrilled with my laptop. I’ve been using it for about a month now. Revit models load quickly, sync quickly, and the response rate when I pan, zoom, edit, etc., is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just about perfect I have owned several Lenovo laptops back to the T-20 that I still own. I need a laptop with a bit more graphic power than my current T-4505 model and with all the choices this one hit all of the check boxes but one. I just wish it had a 10 key, other than that it’s an awesome machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Computer! This laptop is simply amazing. I built my own and included the 4K touchscreen which is absolutely stunning, the only downside to it is the battery but I knew that going in. Thinkpad has now become my favorite keyboard as well, it used to be macbook but i never experienced a keyboard so smooth and easy to type on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and great keyboard Really fast notebook, good keyboard compared with other brands. Great to see that there is a physical switch for the camera. I could setup a dual boot with Ubuntu Linux 20.04 without problems, and I didn't need to disable secure boot and even the fingerprint reader works. The screen reflects just a bit of light witch is great when working in places with too much light, compared with the more normal reflective screens you found in normal laptops, so it was a key feature when I decided to purchase this. To be improved: the startup process is not slow but average, taking a few seconds compared with 1 second have another ultrabook I had in the past from another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s ok but would not buy Lenovo product again It is okay but it’s a little over priced. Had problem placing the order too. Quality is not what I would expect from Lenovo; you can feel that the build material is “cheap”. I had a problem with the screen when I first set up the laptop. Battery is decent. Keyboard is the only decent part of the whole laptop. I think you can find a much better quality, way superior customer service, and reasonable price from other popular brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted, but... The product is excellent as are all Lenovo products I've owned to date. The only problem is it's supposed to be the X1 Gen 2. While it has all of the Gen 2 specs and updated 9th gen processor, it came in the Gen 1 body: with no carbon fiber lid. Small oversight, but one that I was looking forward to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so far! So far so good! I like how quickly it boots, the feel of the keyboard and how well the fingerprint scan works. I'm just starting to use it, so I don't have a lot of details yet. Works great for the video calling I've done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge screen and amazing processor! :) This thing is legitimately great, I had a yoga for years that I only now had to replace cause I stepped on it (oops)...and with the huge screen, light weight, and amazing processor, this thing never even lags a bit even when I have 20+ tabs open and am doing some heavy music producing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best laptop Definitely do not regret buying this laptop. The past laptops I've had were cheap (financially). For this one, I decided to splurge a bit. After doing extensive research through youtube, I hesitated buying this laptop because of the price. But now, I do not regret it. With 16gb of RAM and 512 gb of SSD, this laptop will last me for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ThinkPad quality is slipping The screen periodically flickers after two days of use. And the fan is loud. While the keyboard is great, I’m disappointed with this, my 4th ThinkPad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 stars overall Unfortunately, I got pressured into buying the gen 2, and the gen 3 went below my purchase price just a few days later. Obviously it's a great piece of hardware. i7 power, expandable RAM, ThinkPad build quality and nVidia graphics. What's not to like, except for the high prices, Lenovo's bait and switch website and the lack of a proper ethernet port?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Disappointment I waited more than a year to write this review. Pros: Nice Feel and build material Great Screen with Dolby Vision Fantastic Keyboard Good Keyboard Lighting Light weight Matte Finish Cons: Speaker Location - Even though Dolby sound is boasted and sounds decent, it needs to be on a flat surface to get the "Dolby" effect. When putting the LAPtop on your lap, you lose a lot of sound because the speakers are located below the laptop. Glitchy Fingerprint Reader - Have to keep pressing my finger in different directions and in many cases still does not work. Fan Noise - the fan noise is very loud, even when just browsing videos on the web. I would expect that level of noise for video editing and rendering. Battery vs Performance - The site boasted about 14+ hours of battery life (see attached photo). Even with the laptop idling and energy saver mode, I have not gotten anywhere close to 14 hours. Also note, that with energy saver, the laptop is significantly slower. Mouse pad - I don't understand why the mousepad is not in the middle of the laptop, like how the Macs have it. My wrists get strain during lengthy uses of the laptop. Webcam - Absolutely terrible. Low quality, tiny aperture, white balance is way off. Even with all my lights on and my cellphone light pointed to my face, it was difficult for the person on the other end of the call to see me. "FN" key - I think many people have mentioned their gripe with the location of the FN key vs the CTRL key, I wish Lenovo could change it one day. I really wanted to like this laptop. But after a year of use, I see more and more the short comings of the laptop. The cons I mentioned are fixable. My work laptop, a Dell with about the same specs have most of these cons resolved. I love the ThinkPad series, so I really hope the next models coming out aren't as disappointing .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everyday workstation I grabbed this laptop as soon as it came out so this is a review based on a very long term use. My main issue is with the battery. The battery completely died on me and I've had to get it replaced by support twice. Battery life is nowhere near 14 hours as it says in spec. Once I plug out, it normally shows I have less than 2 hours. I spent numerous days and hours searching and trying different suggestions on fixing the staggering mouse issue which happens when an external monitor is connected. It drove me nuts. I eventually gave up and changed the BIOS to always use the GPU. For someone in IT who spends 10 hours a day on the computer on average, apart from the aforementioned issues, this is a very sturdy laptop/workstation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, except the screen In general it is a very nice machine and compliments my P1Gen1 nicely. Would be 5 stars, but in less than a month of ownership and not taking it around, it appears to have a mark on the screen which is very frustrating for a laptop of this level/cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My current daily driver Good laptop, decent keyboard. I personally like the screen and how big and clear it is. However I personally would have liked the battery life to be a bit larger. The bottom panel is easy to remove though and I personally think that's great.
