There were some connection issues before I realized my router was dual- band and I could connect to the 5GHz signals. Problem solved. I have found the E8 to be fast, responsive, and video playback is nicer than I expected. I would buy it again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Purchased it for my 66 year old mechanic-husband, who does is not comfortable with computers. He is able to learn how to use it on his own and actually enjoying it. Overall, very good. It's not amazing at keeping up with a kid's whims w/r/t switching apps at the speed of thought, but overall a really great value for the money. Was considering the Kindle Fire 8 Kid's Edition, but this came in with nearly identical specs at substantial savings without being tied so tightly to a single vendor's app ecosystem.

Bezels are a bit large and it is all plastic, but this is to be expected for a tablet under $100. Compared the the similarly priced Amazon Fire Tablet which I got this to replace this is a far nicer feeling and more responsive experience and running real Android.

It's the 15th tablet purchased for the same automation monitoring and diagnostics application. The Lenovo quality is very good and this tablet is an exceptional value. I paid 80 percent more for another brand tablet 3 days before purchasing this one from Lenovo and it's no where near the value or quality.

Sound is acceptable -- sounds better with earbuds or a Bluetooth speaker. Seems a little slow at times. But it does what I need it to. My main use? -- it's a monitor for the baby cam I've mounted in the chicken coop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't wake up from sleep modeThe Tab 8 tablet is an entry level unit but even given that, it has issues. When left in sleep mode over night, it does not power up properly. It needs to be powered off (reboot) to function properly. Online support did not address this issue. Otherwise, it seems well built and adequate for basic use.

I have a 10" tablet that I use in the evening for reading news and playing games, but it was just a little too big to take to work to use on my desk. This 8" works perfectly.
