Need to return this, but there's no info to do that, either. The "easy to connect" reviews have to be fake.

This wireless printer has print, scan and copy features and offers black and white copies only. I loved how easy it was to set up, download the app, my phone is connected to the same WiFi as the printer would be so I only had to search for the printer and connect and I was immediately able to print, the ink was pre loaded so I have not had to install/refill. I will say I have a love/hate feeling for the paper compartment. I love that it`s enclosed giving the printer a nice streamlined look but I do not like the cover it is difficult to place and not secured when placed, in a higher traffic area I can envision it being knocked off several times a day. Print speed and clarity are good. It is quiet which is a plus. I also wish it could feed itself multiple pages it`s a little tedious copying, scanned individually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit for my needs. I waited to give my review until I was able to try out the product for a month or so. I am happy to say that I am as pleased with it today as the day I recieved it. I use it to print my school text books which are hundreds of pages long. It manages the load well and is so much faster than a regular printer. There is no hassle or worry of running out of ink and the replacement ink is cost efficient. The initial cost was a little less that what I expected it to be as well. It does print dual sides but you have to manually reload the paper which is super easy. This is by far the best printer I have ever bought.

As a owner of small Wedding and Event planning business as well as a part-time ESL Instructor, I lacked a product that would give me the ability to perform quality work, for not only the clientele that I serve, but also that would give me a faster way of getting work printed and processed for weekly classroom assignments that are taught to my students.Assembly: There was not a lot to assembly when it came to setting up this product and I found it very fast and easy to do. Overall, it was a quick assembly, from the time I unpacked the product and took it out of the box to the time I printed my first test page. You have the printer/scanner itself, both plugs for use with a computer/laptop and the plug that goes from the printer/scanner into the electrical outlet. Lastly, the cover that goes directly over the area where you place your printer/scanner paper used for printing. The toner was included, however if ever needed for a replacement it has a small slot on top to the right side of the printer/scanner that you can easily add your toner with easy installation.I was able to read the instructions provided, to give me an easy setup, from the first step of plugging in the printer/scanner to downloading the app to my iPhone, adding the printer/scanner for easy access to printing and scanning any item with a one touch application, from anywhere as indicated. Performance/Features: I found that the printer/scanner has a fast processing system, from the time you hit print or scan until the printed/scanned item is produced. The quality of the printed or scanned items are clear and concise. If they were in color I think the quality of the printed/scanned item would be flawless. There is no hesitation in the processing of any printed/scanned job. I found it to be just as fast as any other printer/scanner that I have used previously. The features are nice and the printer/scanner looks very appealing to the eye. The app is a great asset to the product, however it could use some added features, such as free mobile service to receiving and sending faxes, instead of having to set up an account and pay for this service. The keypad on the product is easy to operate, however there needs to be more functions added, such as a fax button giving one the option to fax from the printer/scanner, just as the app does. Overall, it does a good job at what it is supposed to do, but just as well as other printers/scanners that I have used in the category that this product falls in, small business/personal use. Problems: My only two major concerns were that it states that you can print from anywhere, so my assumption was as long as I had the app downloaded on my cell phone, if I am away from home I could print an item, but didn`t find that to be so. I am not sure if you have to be connected to WiFi in order to do so, since the printer/scanner is hooked up to WiFi, but of course the app searches for the printer/scanner and if you are not directly near the product and it is not detected, then you would not be able to print or scan. Maybe, that is something that can be considered. I also would have liked for it to be able to print in both color as well as black and white, especially being a owner of a small Wedding and Event planning business. Price: Now the price as it relates to this item appears to be fair, however only if there were a few other things that could be included, such as the option to print in color and print anywhere regardless if you are in the range of the printer/scanner or not, and added free fax services, then I would say the price would be fair. My final review of the HP NeverStop Laser MFP1202w is that it does what it is built to do and gives a great performance. It also is appealing and worth the purchase. I would recommend this to small business owners and for personal use. It gives good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good multi functional printer This is nice compact, multi functional printer. Has a good scanner, so you can scan and copy documents. Nice feature is that you can print from phone app or computer thru WiFi. Apps are available for android and Apple phones. Instruction is clear and easy to follow. Assembly is a breeze, you just need to attach paper dispenser and take off security tape from toner. Starting toner will last approximately 5000 pages which is nice, lot of printing, before you need to buy another one. Toner level indicator is located on the front of the printer, so you can see all the time if you need to replace it. For toner replacement - HP is selling Toner reload kit, so you can reload toner without replacing whole cartridge. They do have a video how to do this, which seem is mess free and also cost effective. I really like this feature. This is definitely good home/small business use multi functional printer. HP is a solid, trusted brand with good service and customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Neverstop Laser -The Fallingwater of Printer... First the pros, the most striking feature of this printer is the overall look. It is very architectural and reminiscent of the Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece Fallingwater. I use this in my office and it blends well with the other furniture and doesn`t seem out of place. It also has a smaller footprint than my previous Brother Laser printer therefore takes up less desk place and has a sleeker appearance.The initial setup was very easy. In about 4-5 steps it was ready to go. In order to wireless print you need to download the HP software which also very straightforward. The printer is quiet but not silent. It is definitely quieter than my previous printer, which is a big plus. Also, it prints reasonably fast. I printed a 35 document and it didn`t feel like it took forever.Well, here`s the cons, I was a little disappointed in the quality of the the actual printing. I felt the blacks were not black/black, just little off. The reason I could tell is that I compared it to my Brother printer. The Brother printouts were totally black and you could see a slight difference between the two. If you don`t compare to another printer you might not notice. The print out is acceptable, but not great.Also, I would like to be able to print on two sides. I did not see an option for this on the printer. That option saves paper and money.Lastly, since the printer is new, I don`t know how long the cartridges last. Hopefully, I can get a lot of use since it does not print a dark black. I think it is a good printer, looks great and fine for everyday use, but if you need really high quality printing, I would suggest another printer.

With the current pandemic going on and my kids doing school work from home and being able to print out lessons from their teachers is a breeze and takes literally no time. Thanks HP!

One confusion comes from one step to remove "MFP 1202 w Printer offline" from printer list.Once the printer is enlisted to my Wi-Fi network, any mobile device, including tablet and mobile phone, in the same network is able to print from this laser printer.If the printer can be waken up (turned on) automatically like smart TV by hitting a "Print" button from any device, it would be great.Easy to install paper and has a good printing speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Product I`ve had the opportunity to use the HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w I`ve printed over 125 copies flawlessly only problem I had, it shuts off too quicklyI had a time getting it installed, but went to HP site and it installed correctly... I think... assembly was ok except I had to figure out the bottom drawer, and I was scared to open the top fully, Wasn`t sure it it opened all the way, other than that It was and continues to be a great experience. I`m sorry for the delay but I got it a week agoand really wanted to put it through the testI figured out the light on the side to let you know the ink level,Nice touch... Overall I think HP hit a home run with this product

Comes with everything you need except paperInstallation: a little complicated with having to go to multiple sites to install and having to make up new passwords and user Id. Kept asking for a password for the actual printer which was odd because none was given. Took about 15-18 minutes to get it figured out. Once installed it gives u option to send link to any other devices for easy set up which was nice so you didn`t have to go thru all the steps again. I did mine wireless thru my iPad . Loved that I didn`t have to take the printer upstairs to hook up to a computer and then bring back down.WIFI: during this time I changed my WiFi router. What I was surprised is how hard it was to figure out how to changed it. Took about 30 minutes to reconfigure which was frustrating. Tried calling the 1-800 help line, they were useless. I kept getting transferred 3x to be exact so after wasting 20 minutes on that I went back to trying on my ownEasiness of using Hp smart app: The HP smart app works pretty good. I love that you can copy or print or scan from your iPhone or iPad In general extremely happy so far with the easiness to print, scan and copy. All of which can be done for your iPhone or iPad with the app. You don`t really need to go to the printer with the item you want to copy unless you don`t have it as a pdf document already.Downfall: black ink only, not color

It was very simple to set up and connect wirelessly to my computer as well as my smartphone. I work from home so I use it to print documents and scan copies to send to my clients. It prints really fast and loading the toner was easy and mess-free. I would recommend this printer for all of my fellow work from home parents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving my new Printer First of all, it was easy to set up, literally just took minutes once set up I started printing right away and I have to say this printer is lighting fast! They say I will 5,000 pages out of the box and if that is true it is unheard of because they usually give you half of ink cartridge after 5 print jobs you need to buy ink. I also set up the app on my phone to be able to print and scan from there, love this I can print anything anywhere in the house. I definitely upgraded from my last printer.

Then I tried a direct cable but had issues finding the driver..... Hours later, we have the direct wifi setup on 2 of our 4 devices and it works well enough. I'm not sure I would buy again given the hassle and price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hit all the reasons I purchased it Got it for school from home. Out of the box we: 1. Had it set up and talking to 2 iPad, my phone, and 2 laptops, all in under an hour. 2. Confirmed scanning and printing worked in all our regularly used programs 3. Found it a nice spot on the school table, as it's a nice compact unit. If you want something on the small end, is easy to use, and prints quickly, this will get it done. Our main use will be printing out work sheets for the kids, so the two biggest drawbacks, no double sided, and no color, don't come in to play at all. Just save the paper and reverse it for the next round of work sheets, and they definitely don't need to be in color. If those 2 workarounds work for you, I highly recommend this printer.

If the 4P had USB ports and easy connection to today's WIN10...I'd probably still would have it. However...I am not sorry at all in replacing it with the Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w. This is a great printer. Directly out of the box one gets 5000 copies. This looks like it will go the distance as the 4P did for me. HP printers are they way to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks like it will take care of my needs I have only had this printer a few days so these are my initial impressions. I am replacing two printers. A HP4250 inkjet that I was mainly using for a scanner and my dear old friend HP1012 that I have had for about 20 years and it just will not die. The 1012 is not supported by Windows 10. I have been using the 1015 driver which works great for text but graphics suck. Ever time Windows does a major upgrade, all my settings are erased and I have to add it again so I finally just gave up. I had some issues installing the 1202. When I plugged it in, the printers started up and made the washing machine sounds then the power light went steady and a blank page ejected which I thought was odd. Ran the HP install and simply used the cable so no comment on wireless connectivity. I tried to print a test page and got an error. The display was showing ER 59. I tried to use the HP virtual assistant which works about as well as any one else's which is not very well. I remember the old days because I am old when the error codes were published. Anyhow after about an hour I gave up and decided to look back on my 30 years of being the office guy who installed computers and printers and such. The one thing that was different was the cartridge was pre-installed. Yes I pulled the orange handle and removed the black sheet. So just for grins, I removed the cartridge, shook it side to side and re-installed it. Error went away and I was able to print a test page. I am hoping I will not have an issue later on but for now it is working and scans and prints great. One thing I think is strange is there is no mention of the power usage in the documentation or on the box or printer itself. I was able to find it on the HP site and it looks pretty good. I am surprised it does not have a manual feed tray for envelopes. You have to remove all the paper, set the guides and insert an envelope. Yes, I actually still use the U.S. Mail. So I have recovered some of my desk space and reduced my power usage and so far get great printing. Life is good.

I needed a more cost-effective solution for printing, scanning, and copying to use for virtual work and school for my kids. This printer has done it all well. Printing is fast and quiet. Scanning is great for submitting assignments and is high quality. The refill for toner costs less than a single ink cartridge on my old printer.

The quality is super clear and sharp. No complaints. Works fine and replaced a machine that was on it's last legs. Wow, what an improvement.

We have too busy to use printer due to Being really busy. Might have printed 15 pages (counting test during set up). Tonight I found time to attempt to print a few things. unfortunately, the pages feed about 3 inches, print everything on one unreadable line and paper jams. The paper tray is one of the cheapest I have ever seen. Holder is useless.

My husband is a tech guy and he could not install it. We returned and for a totally different brand name. He said never HP again. Six wasted hours with this. Got a Brother and it took ten minutes to set up.

I am college educated and have an IQ of 121, and yet in the two or three months I have owned this printer I have not been able to get it to run. The instructions are neither clear, complete nor intuitive. I bought it directly from HP so there is no dealer from whom to receive assistance, and I have been unable to locate contact information for HP despite extensive efforts. Maybe it's senility but I need someone to walk me through the process. I do not live on a rowboat in the Pacific and I do have a mobile phone. Please contact me.

The print quality was just ok, I was looking for something sharper. The speed was not good- very slow and we do need something that prints reasonably quickly. The scan was horrendous and I would think 90 seconds to scan a one page document. I do not know if it was the equipment or the software that they have you install. All I know is that it was a huge mistake on my part to buy this printer. I have a small financial service practice, print mainly black and white and scan daily. I have had other HP products and none were ever as bad as this printer. To compound matters, customer service was below expectations,

My wife and I were not on our computers, and the printer just started printing. Our son was visiting and frond it on our network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent hardware, terrible software I love this printer, I HATE HP software. When the printer connects without issue, and prints, it is fantastic and I have no issues. UNFORTUNATELY this is rarely the case. I generally have to struggle with my network and connection issues for about half an hour or so to get it to print. The HP Smart software is a nightmare, and this printer would be 5/5 without the software. If HP eliminated the HP Smart software, and ensured the easy connection of their printer to your computer over wifi, then this printer would be the best. Unfortunately, trying to use the HP Smart software leads to a frustrating rabbit hole where the printer says it is connected and ready, yet unable to print. Not to mention the fact you need to create an account with them to use the software... In summary, fire your software team, and give your hardware guys a raise and you'll be back to making some of the best computers and accessories on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Constantly Goes "offline" The printer constantly goes "offline" and will not print. Turning it off/on doesn't work. The wi-fi on the panel show's it is connected but I usually have to remove and reinstall the software to get it to print. It's a very annoying problem and after looking online it appears I'm not the only one with this issue. HP used to be great quality but now I am second guessing that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paper jams, lack of tech support and replacement parts make this very disappointing. I bought this as an office printer. I like the price for printing and that for large amounts of pages it copies and prints very fast….but that is true of any laserjet. That is where my love for this printer ends. Alongside countless paper jams, there are hardly any good ways of retrieving the jammed page. As such, you can easily damage the toner cylinder just simply by touching it trying to get the paper out. Now it prints with a finger print ever 2-3 inches down the page. There is no replacement parts so a 6-month old printer already is faulting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Smudging Problem - stay away from this printer This printer has a bad smudge problem at the top of many of the pages printed. I've spent hours on the phone with HP, and hours in the local store and no one can fix this. I returned the printer, and bought a second one a week later only to have that one do the same thing. I've been through all sorts of paper types, and with the second one only used standard copy paper (20 lb weight, 75 gms, 92 bright) and still the same issue. I've printed from different computers and different document types. The issue is not resolvable and that's a shame because the actual print is sharp and crisp. But unusable, since there's a smudge at the top almost every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't connect to the network I've had this printer for a few months now and every time I want to print something it's a struggle getting it to connect to the network. Plugging in the USB cable doesn't work either. I tried cycling the power on and off, switching networks on my computer (there are two), turning the network on and off. Nothing helps. Nothing prints. Really frustrating. Fancy machine that does not work. Not with the HP Smart app either. What is a user supposed to do?
