Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP DeskJet 2655 Printer ReviewHP DeskJest 2655 Printer is a breeze to set up. I was wary at first, as I have had the worst luck with printers in my life time, but it was out of the box and working in less than five minutes of set up. So easy to get running, even those not so tech savvy shouldn`t have too much a of trouble with the easy to follow set up. Having used wireless printers before, again I was wary of the set up and functionality, however pleasantly, to my surprise, it has worked flawlessly and connecting to my phone and pc proved simple. One of the neatest features the printers supports is functionality through an app on your phone, which makes it as simple as taking a photo on your phone, opening the app, choosing to print, and boom! Beautiful printed photo! Same with documents, take a photo of the document with your phone, choose to print it, boom! No cords, no USB shenanigans, simple easy printing. We dont print terribly often, and usually when we do its not from a standard desktop, so the wireless feature is awesome. I cant explain enough how amazing it is to be able to download right from my phone either, sometimes, its just so much easier to use my phone instead of having to print everything off my laptop or desk top! Overall, I would recommend this printer to anyone and everyone who has a casual need to print documents and papers, its easy to set up, simple to use, and we have not had one paper jam yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with my purchaseBought it direct from HP, arrived in 3 days. Been using it for a couple of days and checking out the software and features. Connecting to my Wi-Fi network was easy. AirPrint works great. Like their program of sending you ink when you need it, far cheaper than buying it from a retailer. I'd buy again and I'd recommend it to my family and friends. Much smoother and quieter than the ink jets from the old days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready to waste a lot of useless paperWe purchased this about a month ago, with wifi printing as our goal. Especially with work documents. Kids printing their homework from their ipads. Well, the printer would NOT PRINT. The status show that all connections are great. I tried printing ONE page from my smart phone. It sent.... after 15 minutes, it's still not printing. On my phone says "waiting."If I log on to my computer and then print, it will take less than 15 minutes. My husband tried printing some reports the other day, and it printed out three duplicates. It kept spewing out blank papers, or half printed papers. Not very happy with our purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible PrinterThis printer is horrible. It is difficult to get the blank paper inserted properly, which leads to constant print errors. The support to hold up the blank paper won't stay raised. There is a flap in front of the blank paper, possibly to keep it from falling forwards, which you have to lift with one hand while trying to insert the blank paper with the other hand. The printer jams constantly. Print speed is very slow. The printer can print double-sided if you reinsert the paper after the first side is printed, but then it usually jams and you don't end up saving any paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not up to HP standard. This is my 3rd HP Printer and it is a good example of "you get what you pay for" It frequently prints half a page and when you cancel the print it will then spit out several copies !Apparently you have to reboot it every few print jobs.A piece of junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just purchased as a second printerEasiest setup ever. Never had a printer this easy to setup for wifi and instaink. No drivers to install from a disk. This printer just about sets itself up. Prints great and wifi awesome from phone, computer or my tablet. No complaints. Price is outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP DeskJet 2655 Printer ReviewUNPACKING AND SETUP: Overall, it somewhat challenging to unpack. The Styrofoam inserts were pretty snug inside the cardboard box, making it a little difficult to slide the product and packing out of the box without help from someone else, as the overall size required holding the box with 2 hands. I finally had a friend assist by grabbing the Styrofoam inserts while I grabbed the cardboard box, and we each pulled until the Styrofoam inserts containing the product finally slid out. There appeared to be an airtight/vacuum type of seal between the cardboard box and the Styrofoam inserts, preventing me from being able to easily slide the packing and product out of the box by myself. I suppose an alternative would have been to just cut apart the box. Removing the packing materials was fairly easy except for the blue tape. There was blue tape in 5 areas that also had to be removed, although initially I only found 4 and thought I was finished with that step. I could not figure out how to remove one blue tape from the front of the printer where the paper exit tray was, and it appeared that the blue tape was trapped inside the tray, and the tray would not slide out for me to remove the tape. I finally had to google a YouTube video, which clarified that the tray area actually swung out, in a counterclockwise direction. Now that I understood the tray needed to swing out, I was able to remove the blue tape. The YouTube video also indicated that there was a 5th blue tape on the bottom of the printer. Total unpacking time was 40 minutes, which was disappointing. Perhaps better instructions, with diagrams, to explain the swing-out tray and where all the blue tape was located would have greatly reduced my unpacking time. Other than that, unpacking could be done by a single person. PRODUCT: The printer is lightweight, and compact. The swing out part of the exit paper tray allows the printer to take up about 6 inches less space when not in use, which is helpful in tight areas. Setting up the printer, installing the ink cartridges, loading the paper and installing the software went very easy and fast. The quick-setup instructions were easy to follow, but the process is pretty self-explanatory anyway. I did like the labels inside the door where the ink cartridges go showing the color cartridge on the left and black cartridge on the right. The software downloaded very quickly. I had to refer back to the YouTube video to understand some of the buttons and displays. In particular, the Control Panel display area is made up of icons rather than words. It took me a few minutes and watching the video to understand the buttons and displays. I have had other models by this manufacturer and am use to a menu display with words. This display took me a long time to get used to.PRINTING AND COPYING: The printer is pretty noisy and immediately distracting. It seems to take a while to print, but that could be that the noise seemed to make it sound like it takes forever to print. When compared to my other printer by the same manufacturer, the speed of printing is apparently about the same, but my other printer is just much quieter so I don’t even notice it grabbing the paper, printing, and extracting my printed piece. The quality of the printed material, both black printing or color printing is very good whether printing or copying. Overall, this is a nice, trouble-free little printer, once set up. Despite the noise, it performs very well and produces above average print pieces. I’ve had no problems with paper jams or connectivity problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Printer ReviewAfter receiving the HP printer and unpacking it I followed the instructions for set up. They were clear and concise easy to follow. The installation of the DeskJet2655 was quick and the connect to internet went very smooth.I was given an option for various apps and to activate the HP instant ink service. After adding up the costs involved I chose a plan that I felt would best suit my needs. This printer is very similar to several printers I`ve owned in the past so I ran a few samples to see quality and speed. Ran a sample of fonts and it printed fast and clear.Very clean script. Then ran a portrait that I painted. Even on plain paper it was very good without blurring and the colors bright and seamless without the choppiness i have seen in other printers in this price range. Overall I feel the HP DeskJet 2655 printer to be an excellent entry level general use printer for the home user. It prints well,is wireless, and is economical when paired with HP Instant Ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not a good replacement for my 5520 photosmartRecommend by HP sales rep as a replacement for the 5520. It is not. Slow, delay with large print files, difficult to print large text word or PowerPoint .inexpensive-yes; but I would have paid more for a better printerRetired employee!
