I installed the cartridge and started copying. I made approximately 50 copies and the cartridge "low ink" notice appeared. Printed pages are printing lighter than standard, which is not great for business purposes. The quality of this cartridge has definitely gone downhill. Calling it a "high yield" cartridge is false advertising.

Plus I made the mistake of tearing open the package on one of them so I wouldn't be able to return that one anyway. What a mess. Then when I went to the HP website to see if I could find a way to send at least the one I could return, it turned out that I was instructed to call and speak with a customer service representative M-F. But I leave Europe tomorrow morning too early to make that call. I guess I'll ask among my friends to see if anyone needs the 62XL cartridges. This has been a nightmare from start to finish.

Apparently they sold the new printer with low ink. But I used the feature to select which ink. I ordered it, it arrived when it said it would. However, there is an error message now, it won't print, it won't tell my why beyond there is a problem with the cartridge. So I bought a new printer to print this thing, now I've bought new ink to print this thing, but it's stopped halfway through and I still haven't printed the thing.

I wish these were covered longer than 30 days. I buy ink when I put the last one I have on hand in the printer so that I have a back up, and this time, the back-up one was defective. By the time I needed it, it was 35 days and out of warranty. Disappointed considering how long I've been a customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great All the cartridges that I bought from HP work well but they are very expensive I bought my last cartridge last month and my new 62XL cartridge is still sitting on my old printer I replaced my HP printer with a tank style printer. Tag printer works well the color is not as good as the HP but almost and I'm satisfied. HP makes a good printer but if you're sick of replacing cartridges you can buy a tank printer.

Installed into printer and continued to receive out of ink message on display. Turned off printer, turned on printer, same results. Went to HP support followed suggested procedure, still did not work. Got in car, went to office supply store got same cartridge placed in printer and it is working fine. I have a full HP62XL printer that is a DUD and am out $39+.

I work from home and do a lot of printing so I need an ink cartridge that lasts so that I don't run out of ink in the middle of a project. The HP62XL black cartridge last much longer than the regular size ink cartridge. Since I have started ordering it, I will never go back to the regular size ink cartridge. It may cost a little more but it lasts so much longer. Really worth it. Glad someone came up with a larger ink cartridge. Thanks HP!

This last cartridge did not run anything close to 600 copies as it says it does. A ream of paper has 500 pages and I didn't know use anything close to 500 pages. You might need to check on these cartridges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a 600 page project took 7 BLACK XL cartridges. the estimate that HP gives on XL black ink cartridges is approx 600 pages per cartridge. mu project was approx 600 pages. i went through 7. this project cost me more than i could have ever dreamt of spending - that much $$$ could have gotten me a more INK USE EFFECTIVE printer. i will be lookng for another printer - with lower ink costs. $100's of dollars for this project - that was really more than i could/can afford. the Envy 5660 printer east up ink faster than any printer i have every had. i will also be posting the horrendous amount of ink needed to finish this project on Amazon.

They almost give you the printer but then you pay and pay and pay. All in all the HP envy printer and the ink are great products, easy to use, reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer won't align Ran out ink so I purchased new HP cartridge. Never had any problems before when replacing the cartridge, but now the printer won't align. Suggestion was to make certain I had good, clean paper and to clean the print heads. The paper is new and I ran head cleaner levels 1,2 and 3. Still won't align. Seems to cut off occasional letters when printing. Only thing different is the new cartridge. Call me frustrated.

Not because I made a mistake but due to the fact that you gave me the wrong one to order. I received it and tried to return it for the correct one and you told me it was not returnable. I spent way to much money on the one that is incorrect and all I wanted to do is get it replaced with the correct ink. I will not order through you again. I will take my business for ink to Staples or Amazon. They are half the cost compared to what I spent through HP.

Unfortunately, either the cartridge was the wrong one or it was defective; it repeatedly gave me an error message. Finally I bought a new one from Staples. It is a poorly thought-out maicchine in terms of practicality and I wish I made a better choice for an uglier device but that wasn't an ink sponge.

HP cartridges are reliable and easy to install. I only purchased the XL High Yield cartridges because of the extra value for the price. I also really like the fact that my printer software is linked directly to the HP site so I when I need replacement cartridges I don't have to enter the cartridge or printer information, the website goes right to the product I need.

I used to purchase the single regular cartridge every 3 weeks at ~$18 a pop excluding tax. I decided to try the high-yield out and boy was it worth it! It's my 16th week of use for 1 cartridge and only now getting the "low ink" notification. So I got the mileage for less than half the money I'd have spent on the regular cartridge. Awesome! I could not be happier with my HP printers and ink cartridges. I tried other brands and refills and found them to be lacking in both quality and quantity (# of pages printed) HP Ink Cartridges get a solid 5 star rating from me. If there was something equivalent to the Academy Awards for the best HP Sales Associates I would like to nominate HP's Customer Care Specialists. I use the high yield cartridges because I do a lot of printing of items, and I find that it lasts me quite some time. I do this with both the color and the black. The blackest possible of better and HP ink delivers for HP printers. Cheaper substitutes are tempting but could be more costly in the long run when they mess up your printing and printer.

Maybe down the road when they run out I will be like "hey, those didn't last long at all!" or maybe I will be like "hey, those HY cartridges lasted WAY longer than the regular ones, nothing but HY from here on!". T his is just a printer for our house. Looked up the date and purchased it in March and it is now the beginning of September. There is absolutely no way I’ve printed 600 pages since on average I probably print 1-2 things a week. I don’t want to spend the money again. Disappointed.

Doesn't matter if you buy the regular or XL, it's still the same size cartridge with either a small amount of ink or a very small amount of ink.

There are alternative sources of ink, but trying one is putting the quality of the print at risk, so we keep returning to HP. However, when I received the cartridge and put it in my printer, my printer would not print. I got the message on my printer that this was not an authentic HP cartridge. In my frustration, I rushed out to the nearest Best Buy and purchased another 62XL cartridge. After putting this cartridge in my printer, my printer begin to print. I will NEVER order another ink cartridge from HP.com. From this point forward, I will continue to rush right out to my nearest Best Buy.

A waste of packaging and no notice or packing slip in either package. I’m all for less paper, so get efficient and ship two in one envelope! And either email a notice or slip it in the package.

I would have gotten my cartridge locally.I had a report due in 3 days. I had to go out and buy another cartridge, so I could print my reports on time.

Rather than go to the local office supplies store and leave our home, I order the ink direct from HP on the internet. In a couple days the ink arrived outside our door. No contact with anyone outside our home. I am printing many photos and doing scrapbooks to keep busy and the ink was necessary for my project. It all was very slick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 62 XL Cartridge with Envy 5660 Printer After purchasing the regular 62 Black cartridge for this printer, I went through ink in one week after about 80 sheets. I purchased the 62 XL hoping to get more, but after 60 sheets, the printer said I was low on ink. I am not sure if it is the printer or the ink. I do a lot of printing and need something more high volume. My previous HP printer, which finally gave up after 15 years and used the 90 series ink, gave me well over 300 sheets per cartridge. I have always used HP products, even my laptop and desktop are HP, and I am not sure where to turn.
