Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting…Pretty nice printer…When printing from Adobe InDesign using "Let InDesign Manage Colors," the printer's colors are spot on; but, the prints are quite a bit darker than what I see on screen and what I get back from the commercial printer.I have much better luck when printing from Phase One's Capture and choosing "Printer Manages Color". I then choose my paper type and switch from Epson RGB to Adobe RGB. Then it is a pretty good match.Gloss optimizer is nice, though it won't quite bring a print on Photo Paper up to the shine of a print on Ultra Premium Photo Paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly goodImage quality is beautiful, and the printer operation is smooth. I have two issues: it could not be set up for wireless printing; the gloss optimizer cartridge runs out very quickly, before any of the other inks need to be replaced, and when this happens, it will not print. I called the Epson support about the gloss optimizer; they mailed me an additional cartridge at no charge, which was very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SureColor P400 Wide Format Inkjet PrinterHighly recommend if you like to print pictures. The different paper textures based on the type of picture really helps me to decorate my home with my own photo's and create gifts for others. So much better than the 6 color printers. Also prints larger than the standard 8 x 10 or 8 x 11.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality printerI purchased the P400 about a month ago and have used it frequently since. I do mostly landscape and wildlife photography. I've printed on glossy, lustre and canvas with it. The results are outstanding. After a small learning curve with ICC profiles and proofing, my prints are fantastic. Great Printer at a great price. I do wish that Epson had a larger selection of ICC profiles on their site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds my ExpectationsEasy to set up and install. The print quality is better than the prints I was getting from professional labs. I've been using the P400 for about a month using the sheet feeder only (4x6 glossy to 13x19 Ultra Pro Satin from Red River).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from trouble finding how to turn off the gloss optimizeI really like how this printer produces my coloured photos but I would like to be able to turn off the gloss optimizer as I don't need it for all my glossy prints. Also I do like not having to change black ink cartridges from mat to gloss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints are awesome13 x19 prints are just great. Did Photoshop print with a sony RX10m3 at 600 mm added him as per his request. Then printed a 13x19It was a wow to all who got to look at it. P400 is worth every penny. A Lot of pennies but if the print matters it,s a mute point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next generationFor many years I enjoyed excellent results and reliability with my Epson R1900. It served me very well both personally and as a wedding photographer. Although I am now retired, I wanted the same quality for my personal use. The P400 is the perfect replacement, adding wireless ops as a new feature to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup! just make sure you have a USB Printer cableI bought this printer to start again printing my photographs. The setup is very easy! and the only catch with the WIFI setup is you need to have a USB printer cable to direct connect for the setup. Finding that in this "wireless" world took me a bit of scouring the house to find the right type cable, but the installation was a breeze after that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a few blipsI bought this two months ago. the prints came out very dark, we had to reset with help of Epson. and then it automatically goes to dark without our intervention and has to be reset. The printer uses A LOT of ink and uses gloss optimizer and we don't use gloss paper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to useFirst, Epsons customer support is terrific. They are patient, friendly and helpful. The printer makes the most detailed and subtle prints I have ever seen. It used the gloss optomizer dtwice as fast as the other inks. I recommend buying extra optomizer every time you buy ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent prints so farThis 400 replaces my beloved R2400, retired after being in service since 2005. Due to other work demands, I have not pushed the P400 as far as I would like to but did print some pieces for a show that were very good. I am hoping the P400 is the R2400's equal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy InstallationThis is replacing my Epson 1400, it has the same footprint and I was able to use the same USB cable! I can't comment on the printing because they ask for my review upon registering. And don't forget the $200 rebate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product however there's a loading problemI've been using this product for a little bit over 2 years and it's been working really good up until today. My biggest problem is that in my country there isn't a epson outlet where I can't atleast get it repaired.Paper loading problem when printing. When I start printing the printer doesn't seem to properly take in the paper which leads to the printer printing without paper. The printer isn't taking paper. Is there anyway I can get support to rectify this problem?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great!I had my Epson Photo Stylus R1900 for over 6 years. When it finally reached the end of its life, I needed an upgrade. This printer was the perfect replacement and works better than my last one. I've only noticed a slight difference in reds and skin tones between this and my last printer. Those colours come out just a wee bit darker, but not a big deal. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product fits my needs for great larger (13') photography printingI am a user over many years of many computers and recently upgraded to a "Windows 10 " computer. This required an upgrade of my printer as well. I'm happy with my choice which was encouraged by another photographer who was an Epson user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson makes my work look good! When I was beginning my official education in Graphic Design, I pestered my professors to learn exactly everything they used for their design work. Epson was the popular printer and I've happily relied upon Epson for my comps and finished products ever since - around 25 or so years so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good.Replaced my R2400 that finally gave up the ghost. Similar so the learning curve is minimal. The only real issue is that I have to readjust my screen setting to be closer to the print output of the P400. The P400 prints more saturated photos than the R2400 when comparing them with the computer screen. So far so good, I am happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Falling in love with my P400I bought my P400 a month age and am very pleased. I know that is a rather high end printer and use it only for art reproduction. I live in a very dry area so I keep a humidistat next to my printer so I don't use it when the room humidity drops below 25%. Right now our outdoor humidity is 12%. I also keep it cover with a vinyl cover when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid productThe SCP-400 is a big improvement over earlier iterations of the 13-inch desktop photo printers (1200, R1900). Handling of thicker papers without smearing is almost perfect. The pigment ink cartridges do not require the almost daily usage that the previous models required in order to keep the print heads from clogging. I have been able to leave town and come back a month later and use the printer without having to spend hours to days and much ink to unclog the heads. The warmer colors are especially vivid and accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set upRetired two years and photography is my primary hobby having taken over 50,000 digital photos since 2002 (and maybe as many since 1972 that are printed and in photo albums). With 4 children and 11 grandchildren, and living on a small lake, I have the opportunity to take photos almost daily with my Nikon D-600 with a full frame sensor and 23.4 M/pixels. The Epson SureColor 400 is my entry into printing my photographs myself to save money. I am very pleased with what I have printed thus far. I have had zero issues. The 8 inks give excellent color. I use the photo editors in Windows 10 and Paintshop Pro X9 from Corel. I use Epson paper, Epson ink, and have used a few sheets of another well know high quality brand. The Epson SureColor 400 meets and exceeds my needs and expectations. My daughters are thrilled with the family photos I have printed for them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Set up a breezeWe bought this to replace our 1900. Setup couldn't have been easier. First prints came out perfectly. Can't wait to explore all the different options. As soon as we have the extra $$ we will be purchasing the 800 as well for additional business needs. Thanks Epson! Have loved your products for year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photos, especially for the priceThis is my second Epson photo printer. This is the first one that's a professional printer. It has a lot of features for the money. The ability to print from a roll of paper will make for nice "framable" photos which will save me money. 8 ink cartridges really make a vivid color photo. I look forward to many years of dependable service. So far it's great.
