With the ability to scan, restore and archive an extensive range of films and prints at fast speeds, Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner has low power consumption for maximum efficiency and no warm-up time for instant scanning. With 6400dpi optical resolution and 3.4DMAX optical density for film scanning, the Epson Perfection V600 Photo creates high-quality images, meeting the photo and film reproduction needs of photographers.

The Epson Perfection V600 Photo features a built-in Transparency Unit (TPU) that supports full panoramic medium format film. Users have the ability to create digital archives from photos, filmstrips, mounted slides and medium format full panoramic film, making it ideal for preserving important memories and images, as well as photographic reproduction for printing.

Energy Star compliant, Epson's innovative ReadyScan LED technology minimizes power consumption. With the added benefit of no warm-up time, scanning can start as soon as the power is turned on and the scanning of reflective targets is 1.5 times faster than previous models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Software needs to be updated!Software is marginally compatible with Windows 10. If the interface window is minimized, it locks up. Hardware seems to be well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid performer with a few minor issuesBought this to scan several thousand photos from 48+ years of marriage. Had some minor startup issues: 1) Scan button would not start scanner, but desktop icon did - reboot of system fixed this issue; 2) ABBYY FineReader that is included on the installation disk is version 9.x and IS NOT compatible with Microsoft Office 2013 (and possibly others) and will cause MS Office to crash. I had to uninstall ABBYY and remove the COMs from office (info online). I will say that Epson customer support (email) was very responsive to both my inquiries (button not responding and ABBYY). With the ABBYY FineReader they sent a link to a newer version that did not cause any issues. When scanning multiple pictures at a time (in auto mode), it sometimes will scan two (occasionally three) pictures as a single picture even though they are spaced on the scanner bed. This is usually fixed by moving the offending pictures to other areas of the scanner bed or scanning fewer pictures. On rare occasion, it appears the scanner starts on its own...or perhaps I brushed against one of the scanning buttons...Overall, I am very pleased with the scanner and the software works much better than older versions I have used over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Scanning negativesI bought this specifically to scan negatives from my Grandparents old photo box. I have been impressed with how well it scans. It has also worked great for slides and photos I am scanning. I am very pleased. It is a little slower than my other scanners but I assume it is because it is a higher resolution scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes excellent digital copies of slidesI have had this scanner for several months and am using it to convert numerous historical slides. The copies have been pure, sharp, and vibrant. So far I have scanned more than 1,000 slides. The process is a bit slow, but it does the job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faster & Even Better Epson Perfection ModelI've been thinking about getting an upgrade from my V330 for several years and finally got the V600. It is a little larger (length) than the older one which means I had to set it up on the top of my credenza instead of inside a cabinet. But that's okay. It is quieter and much faster and I think the PDF's are clearer. I'm enjoying it and should not have waited so long.
