Get superior-quality, A4 photo scanning with the Epson Perfection V370 Photo, which features a built-in transparency unit for easy scanning of slides, film and negatives. Thanks to the scanner's high optical resolution of 4,800dpi and CCD (charged-coupled device) technology, you can be confident that every detail will be faithfully captured with exceptional clarity. Epson ReadyScan LED technology delivers scans instantly with virtually no warm-up time, and is very power-efficient, helping to reduce your energy bills and impact on the environment.
Scanning bulky books or 3D objects is no problem, as the Perfection V370 Photo's lid has an extendable hinge than can open up to 180 degrees. Even if parts of the book or object being scanned are not in contact with the scanner's glass, they will still be in focus and captured accurately. This is because Epson's CCD image sensor technology offers a greater depth of field than the CIS (contact image censor) technology used in most comparable scanners. Simple to use, the Perfection V370 Photo's enables you to conveniently scan to email at the touch of a button, or scan to multi-page, searchable PDF.
Epson Perfection V370 Photo Scanner is rated4.47 out of5 by141.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great scannerI bought this scanner expressly to scan a load of 35MM negatives that I have collected over the years. It works just great. I'll be busy for quite a while but will have them all saved on disks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good machineGot it on sale at Staples, pretty good machine right out of the box, unbeatable price. Software installation instructions could be better, but it's up and running on a mini mac OSX 10 with no issues. I hope it is durable because it's going to get a lot of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works WellI have scanned documents and photos and found it satisfactory. I have not used a scanner before this one and don't have a basis for comparision. It was easy to setup both at home and at a client site. Could have used a tutorial but was helped with process by friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding ScannerHave used this nifty scanner for slides, photographs, and color and black and white negatives and have been very pleased with the results.Only downside is many of my negatives are 120 and 220 film and this scanner only handles 35mm.Strongly recommend this scanner to any one with 35mm slides and negatives they wish to preserve electronically.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Scanner V370The Epson flat bed scanners are the best scanners I have ever used. This V370 scanner is a replacement for an earlier version the was no longer compatible with Window 7. The scanner has a lighted backdrop for copying slids and negatives. The only change I would like to make is for the backdrop to be fully lighted rather than just the center 2" strip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Scanner!I had an older version of this scanner, and it won't connect to my pc anymore so I bought this much more affordable version. It is amazing. I have been busy scanning slides dated 1950-1970 and the colour restoration works beautifully. A lot of the slides are just red, and it brings the colour back like magic. It is very fast too, considering I am scanning 4 slides at 2400 dpi, it only takes a few minutes. I highly recommend this scanner!!! Great Price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My experience with EpsonAlthough I have not used my Epson V370 extensively, I found it performed smoother and simpler than any of the three other makes of scanners I have owned. With my other scanners, the process for scanning a photo or other item was much more complicated, with many intermediate steps before the final scan took place. This product should be called the "EZscan"! I look forward to using it for many things. I most recently used it to scan a passport photo of myself for use in renewing a State permit. I purchased it initially to use for my online genealogy research and compilation, as my last scanner was outdated and was not compatible with my current computer OS. I have used Epson printers before, but this is my first scanner. Thank you for your fine products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson V370 ScannerThe scanner is user friendly and fast. I like the high resolution. Very pleased with overall performance of scanner until I finally had to uninstall ABBYY FineReader as not compatible with 2013 Word and Outlook. My Microsoft programs began working again immediately after FineReader uninstalled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great thing to haveI bought this to scan baby/childhood pics for my grown kids. The instructions are lacking somewhat....could be more detailed for my taste but I got it figured out. Worth the price compared to having them reproduced at a photo shop and all at your leisure at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Photo ScannerI found this scanner to be very good. I've scanned about 1,000 slides so far and it's done a nice job. You set up the slides, click scan and the scanner does the rest. It take me about 2 hours to scan 80 slides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome productI bought this scanner so I could save my 1000s of photo negatives. It works beautifully!!! It's not super fast but I would rather have quality over quantity. You can also scan multiple photos at once and if you put another space in between each photo, it saves them all as separate images. Awesome product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Epson Flatbed Scanner Perfection V370 PhotoI have been using an Epson perfection 3590 Photo in my business for an estimated time of more than ten years. Finally the mechanism quit working correctly. During this time it has worked flawlessly. It was a no brainer when time came to replace it. I just finished installing a new Perfection V370 photo. It installed seamlessly and is off to a great start. Thanks EpsonFrank MooreMoore Properties

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection V370 Photo ScannerI bought this scanner for one purpose only: to scan 2000+ slides. It's apparently one of the few scanners available that fits a retired teacher's income. It is working fine, now, but getting it to work properly, out of the box, was a struggle. The problem? The enclosed CDs, even when installed twice (per screen directions), are outdated. Thanks to very friendly tech help by telephone, I was able to download the correct drivers so that my new scanner does what I bought it for. The only problem is the snail-paced scanning. I can scan four slides at a time, and that's good, but getting four discrete "imvxxx.jpg" icons onto my desktop or into the correct folder isn't easy. Nor does the provided slide holder deal well with slides whose positive image is not the traditional dimension.

The included software allows the scanned item to be saved in many different formats (tif, jpg, bmp, gif or PDF).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Perfection V370 PhotoI have about 5,000 slides that I am digitizing and storing on my Windows 8 PC. So far I have done so for more than 800 in three weeks. It takes approximately 4 minutes for 4 slides, including previewing, modifying if necessary and adding a filename if I want to.This device also makes excellent copies of literature and magazine articles. I have copied and enlarged to scale some plans that were too small. This saved me a lot of time trying to manually copy the plans to graph paper.I have copied pictures and emailed successfully. The manual instructions are provided on disc and easy to read and understand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson V370 ScannerI've had this plugged in for about 2 hours. I'm scanning slides I took back in 1963. Outstanding quality. I'm glad I'm retired because I'll be able to spend the time to scan 50 years of slides and film. This is a great product and priced right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from finally I can get my photos transferredI have thousands of slides and photos from various family members who have passed and I want to save them for my children with comments. Although with this photo scanner, it is a slow, slow task to do slides, I am pleased with the results. Hopefully when scanned it will be easier to set up shows and sort the slides to make sense, since I am the only one who can pass on the stories and who is who in the photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ScannerI bought this Perfection V370 Photo to replace a Perfection V330 Photo that 'died' after a lot of use.The only **caveat** I would include is that the Mac Install CD would not 'auto-start' and I downloaded the software from the EPSON web site. I kept playing with the Install CD and finally found that I could 'manually' go into each folder and install the items. This is an issue that should not happen with equipment install software CDs.Other than that install issue, the scanner is top-notch and I always prefer the EPSON products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Perfection V370This scanner has one major flaw for my use. The lid is hinged in the rear on the long side of the scanner, and the reference arrow is on the right front of the bed. Trying to scan the left page of a magazine makes the folded-up page sit right against the hinge of the lid, so it shifts when the lid gets closed. I can flip it around and use the inside of the bed as the side of the page I want vertical, but then I have to preview every page before the scan to make sure it is vertical and invert it as necessary. My Epson 3490 was hinged at the short side in the back, and the reference arrow was on the left front. The magazine is farthest from the hinge with little interference from the cover.Once the page dimensions were set up in the preview, all the other pages were easy to scan without previewing, and I could invert them after the scan was finished, before I committed it to pdf.Otherwise, the scan speed and quality is the same for V370 and 3490; very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Perfection V370This is very cool and simple to operate. I give 10 out of 10 for photos brightness and clarity. When it comes to documents, you can only scan them in PDF only, I was hoping to be able to scan them in Word as well. This is a draw back for my work, so my overal score will be 8 out of 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear scans.Love this scanner. The only thing I would change would be more sizes of frames to hold negatives. A lot of the negatives will not fit the ones that came with the scanner. I love being able to scan what I have though. And, does a good job scanning. The settings Could be a little more senior citizen friendly.

This method is quick & will avoid wanting to throw the scanner across the room).the scanner itself works great. Pictures I've scanned are perfect. I like that I can choose the dpi. Now just photoshop & all my faded pictures look like new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A genuine help in preserving memoriesAfter using this scanner for over a month, the hardware and software have proven to be invaluable in the process of preserving photos, slides, and documents. With previous devices, I would invariably have to do one item at a time and then touch up images separately. The V370 with its software does everything - I can place multiple photos on the glass randomly (not even squared up) and it finds each one and creates a separate file for it. Additionally, the image correction automatically fixes each one as a separate entity. And the same is true of slides, 4 at a time. I am totally satisfied with the product - even more unbelievable at its low price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Perfection V370 Photo ScannerAfter 4 weeks of use I am totally satisfied with the V370 Photo Scanner I have and continue to use it to copy photographs(many pre 1940) of various sizes, slides, and newspaper articles. This is a great piece of equipment; the quality of the finished product is equal to the original. I highly recommend the acquisition of the Epson Perfection V370 Photo Scanner to anyone wanting or needing to scan and organize photos, slides and documents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ScannerPreviously we had Epson V300 Photo Scanner, it quit after 4 or 5 yrs. Would not have Epson V370 Photo operating had it not been for Gene, Ref #131115-002996 - he got us scanning PDF documents with his patience, understanding, and helpful instructions. Epson scanners are easy to use, work great, and see no reason to have a super deluxe model for home use, this works just fine.

Did a great job on larger prints as well. Like the flat bed for fragile older items. Simple to set up. Did have to go to the support site for new drivers, but after that everything working. Having a little problem understanding how to get a pdf. Have always liked Epson products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Scanner for a Good PriceRecently purchased the V370 scanner from Epson, the unit was shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition. I use it to scan transparencies and for high definition scans of 3 dimensional items for fine art photography and both uses work well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson V370 combined with an Epson R 2000These are my first two Epson products I have ever bought. And so far I am quite pleased In the past I used to use film cameras and have a great number of Slides and Negatives that scanned really well and printed off even better. My first Epson purchase was the R 2000 Photo Printer and two weeks later I bought the V 370 to compliment the printer. The colours and the quality of scanning and printing are some of the best I have every seen. I would recomend these products to anyone who takes their photgraphy seriously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson Perfection V370 Photo ScannerI am simply elated with the operation of this scanner. I can scan up to 4 slides at a time, and the neat thing is that each slide automatically scans to a separate file. My previous scanner (a different make) put all 3 slides into a single file which meant a lot of editing to single out the slides. It would be nice if I could select a destination file other than "My Pictures" so I would not have to go through some extra steps to eventually get my copies onto an external flash drive. However, I am very pleased with the quality of the scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same as other versionsThere is absolutely no difference between version 370 and other versions. I don't know any sketchbooks or papers that have a size of 11.7 by 8.5. And the paper is always gray on the scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Photo ScannerI purchased the V370 to scan printed photos, negatives and 35mm slides. So far well over 3,000 images have been processed without glitch. One has to dedicate time to process images, this requires some commitment on big projects, so organizing the photos, destination files, etc. before beginning will help a lot. A good, dependable product overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI've used it for scanning photos and for OCR. Both work well and were easy to do. The only problem is the on/off switch is also the scan switch. It turns it on alright, but should turn off when held down 3 seconds. It keeps scanning even though I've close the scan software. I have to unplug it to turn it off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing once you figure it outI use this printer primarily for scanning music, both published and handwritten -- i.e. line art -- and also for capturing title pages with colour graphics. I have used the scanner intensively for several days. What do I like about this scanner?1. Scanned images are much clearer and cleaner than my previous scanner, with fewer dropped lines and fewer added artifacts. It takes me less time to manually clean up the scanned image.2. The scanner will automatically straighten an image when the original is not quite straight on the scanning bed. That saves me time.3. Scanner doesn't seem to need any time to warm up before it's ready to scan. What could be improved?1. The on-line user guide or the software or both. It took me quite a few hours of reading, poking around and trying things before I got the scanner operating as I wanted. If you're having difficulties getting what you want, switch from the default "Full Auto Mode" to "Professional Mode", and explore the settings and configuration. In particular, better guidance as to why one should choose which "mode", and what the modes are designed for, would be helpful. Now that I have figured it out, the scanner is able to do what I want, as I want, with great image quality and capabilities that save me time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 370 Is PerfectionThis is my second Epson scanner. I previously owned Model 330, but the Perfection 370 surpasses that one. As always, I get excellent quality in every copy. I am extremely impressed with the images I get when I make prints from negatives and slides. My only problem is finding a printer that is not all-in-one because very few are available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Few Features WorkGenerally, the scanning quality is good in all formats. However, I run an iMac and many of the features like copying & PDF do not work. I have remedied this by just scanning to JPG (the default setting) and printing that to make copies (an extra step), and using my photo-editing software to make PDFs (another extra step). Since I make few copies and PDFs this is not a big issue, but an inconvenience none-the-less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slide scannerI have over 2500 slides to digitize and so far (after about 350 scans) this Epson is doing a great job. The Auto correct for color etc works very well. I do wish it could do more than 4 slides at a time...but...it's doing a great job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Scanner That Makes History Come AliveI'm very happy with this scanner. Its large enough to accommodate most photo albums which has come in really handy recently. I finally got to the box full of photos from my grandparents which was sitting in my parents basement for many years. Scanning almost 1400 images took some time but the V370 made it easy as it was often able to have multiple images and scan them all at once. While I could quibble with the word "perfection" because nothing in this life is perfect it really does a more than adequate job even in the "Full Auto" mode.I had actually gotten the V370 to scan slides as I have a large collection which I wanted to make prints from. The V370 does admirable work with slides too. It would be nice if you could do more than 4 slides at a time but again the quality of reproduction is more than satisfactory.Another limitation of the V370 is that it only scans 35mm negatives. Since I have other size negatives than 35mm this doesn't help especially.

Other than a few strange squeaks when first started it has worked good. My only suggestion would be you might want to update your software. It seems to be the same thing I have been using for years. People like to see new software or updated versions at the least.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great, but set up is not easyIf you are on a MAC, don't even bother with the software included with the product. I loaded it 3 times and it still wouldn't work. I finally went to the epson site for the most up to date software driver and it directed me to a link for those on Yosemite. In less than 5 minutes I was finally up and running. The instructions also don't tell you you can place multiple photos on the glass at the same time and it will scan each separately, which is a huge time saver.
