Software not intuitive......incomplete product documentation
When selecting to send scan to print error message will pop up saying that print driver is not available unless you have an Epson printer.
this feature will not work if you have any other brand of printers ( in my case I have two network laser printers, HP and Lexmark).
Epson fails to disclose this and does not offer any solution!

Quick install
Based on the fact I now have to work more from home I bought this unit for my home use. I bought it online from the Epson store and with no delivery fee it was delivered right to my door by Purolator 4 days later. I was quickly able to install the drivers and to get it to work. Yesterday I had my IT tech remotly adjust the resolution and other little adjustments and now everything seems to be working just fine.

The scanner is a good reliable unit
Overall the scanner is a reliable unit. It does take some time from the moment a person touches the scanner button to the time is actually scans.

Fantastic product for the price
I was very please with the fast delivery of our new Epson DS-530 document scanner from CDW. I researched several brands for the price point, durability and features that we needed. The Epson DS-530 was ranked a solid second barely behind the Fujitsu desktop scanner line. I chose the Epson because of price point, service record, and the fact that I needed a twain scanner to integrate with our system. The Epson DE-530 is incredibly quite, fast and efficient. We are short staffed and this product allows one staff person to multi-task and complete projects in minutes that took up to two hours when manually scanned. I would highly recommend this product for small to medium sized offices.

Good product but lacks some fundamental features
The Epson DS530 is a good, fast ADF desktop scanner. The scanning programs that come with it offer a wide range of settings. One setting that is lacking is the file name setting. This setting gives you a limited number of characters for the file name. For Mac users, this is a limitation.
The return tray also takes up a lot of extra space than it should, for example, compared to a ScanSnap. The return tray pulls out flat so you need as much room on your desk as the size of paper you are scanning. An improvement would be to have the return tray angle in an upwards direction thus utilizing a not as precious air space instead of limited desktop space.
Overall, I am happy with the Epson scanner

I was very pleasantly surprised
This is third scanner I have purchased from various manufacturers and it by far the best. Quick, easy to use, and efficient.

I bought this scanner because it had TWAIN capabilities (I need for my program). I have issues EVERY time I try to scan within my program

Excellent Addition
In the last month since I have purchased this scanner I have used it multiple times and could not be happier with its performance. It is replacing an old Xerox Documate that provided me with many years of service. This Epson makes the old Xerox seem like the antique it was. The speed and ease of use with this Scanner is remarkable; even my wife who is not very technological can use it. I look forward to many years of service.

Works Well
We are a medical office and have these for our medical assistants to scan records into electronic charts. The machine works quickly and well. We are ordering more.

I have had the scanner a few months and I have to regularly uninstall and reinstall the scanner and drivers. I am not impressed.

Great when it works
I have spoken with EPSON tech reps up to Level 2. I have collected wasted over 4 hours on multiple calls. Unable to fix to have scanner 100% recognized by computer. To use the scanner, I must unplug the USB cord, reboot the computer (closing multiple opened software packages), and plug the scanner USB into the computer. Most times than not, it will then work temporarily. To use it again, hours later, repeat the same process.

This scan was great until they put an update through to the document capture program. Now it crashes went it wants to and will no longer scan to email.

OK Scanner
Not quite what I expected for the price. Very difficult to install/set up. I ended up calling Customer Service for help.....they were great!!
Scanning is clunky at best: if you want to preview the document, you have run it through the scanner, then if you like what you see, you have to run the document back through the scanner to officially scan it....... To scan documents you put them in upside down and backwards!!!!!! Very awkward to me. You can pre-adjust the rotation for upside down, that way you don't have to put the doc in upside down.....yea weird.....
There are 3 steps to scanning: select file name-save, click a button to select file-save, then once that's all saved you go in and scan........
I was use to a one step scanner. It only lasted a year and I thought I'd try something else...... If it was easy to return, I would.
It does pull the paper through really fast and that's nice.

Software Doesn't Work.
Unable to get Scan 2 to connect to the scanner, despite it being installed correctly. Says the scanner is busy or just doesn't work. Usually gives the error E425-B202. Happens all the time in Windows 10. Wish it could just use the generic windows scanning stuff, but nooooo, gotta make a proprietary program THAT DOESN'T WORK
