Misunderstood memory module descriptions
The invoice for my computer showed the memory installed is "16GB - 2x8 DDR4 2666MHz RDIMM ECC" so I mistook "16GB - 2RX8 DDR4 RDIMM 2666MHz" as the same thing and ordered it -- I thought it would two matched 8 GB modules in one box. The computer has two 8 GB modules, so I have to install two more 8 GB modules -- a 16 GB module will not work with the two 8 GB modules. Dell provided an RMA number and I expect that I will receive a refund, even though I opened the package before I noticed it did not contain two 8 GB modules. I will order two 8 GB modules when I receive a refund. Dell memory is expensive, much more than other brands. Dell customer support was excellent. Recommendations: The product description on the invoice and in the memory product web page should both be clarified so that a customer does not mistake 2Rx8 for two 1Rx8. And customers should look inside their computer to be sure that what is installed is exactly the same as what is on the invoice -- I would have noticed a discrepancy -- though the invoice was accurate, my interpretation was not correct.

Memory upgrade for Dell Server T440
Purchases three 16GBs DDR4 RDIMM sticks to bring my server memory to 144GB of RAM. They were easy to install. Dell Servers have instructions on the inside of the server so made it easy to install.
