I had to bring to a comp repair shop for them to install with the purchase of a Second HDD Caddy. However, it gave me the opportunity to also purchase more RAM and now I have a great working Notebook.

I replaced the original HDD for the Crucial MX500; I wish I had done this before; It seems as if I have a totally different machine now. This upgrade will give a few more years before I definitely have to get a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It. Boot time on my laptop went from 5 1/2 minutes with Windows 10 to 1 1/2 min. Everything is MUCH faster. I did have had a problem using the Acronis for Crucial drive software that they provide. Support immediately sent me a fix, which allowed the software to run HOWEVER I wasn't able to use it because of the my disk sector size wasn't compatible for the software to clone from. I again called support and they immediately guided me through an alternate way. This is one time that a call to a Customer Support group really was a pleasure and more importantly - FAST.

After that, I replaced the old hard disk with this new one in less that 5 minutes. Everything worked flawlessly...almost as if I made no changes to my Windows-10 laptop at all. Really great experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am buying the prodect over and over again I bought one a few years back and I do not know if they are the fastest etc. For a I7 desktops and laptops I just add them to the system and it all works. Windows 10 uses storage spaces so you can so easily add a second SSD to the poll or a third. I use one SSD for the OS and then others for the data. I use others to make quick images of all my Boot C:\ Drive and back up data to my NAS. If you think yo umay be hacked one day, backup and make an image of your drives. Just unplug the encrypted ones and plug in your backups. Done. 20 min.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This drive is amazing in my old desktop PC. I use my old desktop PC to surf the web, check into Facebook and LinkedIn, etc. This Windows 10 PC was shipped with Windows Vista. I've upgraded it with Windows 7 and then Windows 10. I added some RAM but it didn't really improve its slow boot and load times. This new SSD has transformed this PC into a very capable machine. It's just incredible the difference it has made. The Crucial step by step instructions and video made the installation very easy!!! I am very happy with the results.
