Bigs difficulties tinstalling this product.
This SSD is used to replace old HDD. I made a clone of the HDD with USB port, but each time i plug the SSD inside computer, it crash with windows blue sceen.
I call your support but i was unable t get any answer, nobody in support speaking well french, and unable to explain easily my problem.
Finally, after many many tries, i found that this SSD don't accept AHCI boot, but only IDE boot, now this disk works but not in the best conditions.
I continue to try to change from IDE boot to AHCI boot but without success for the timing.
And nobody in your company to help me!

Bought this to put in an ageing HP tower PC. Easy enough to install as long as you have an adaptor for a desktop PC and carry out a clean install of Windows 10. PC now boots up quicker than ever before. Programs install so quick. Windows updates now done in the blink of an eye. Virus scan takes a few minutes instead of a few hours. The whole thing just makes using my desktop a pleasure again instead of a chore.
Definitely worth considering if everything else in your laptop/desktop is working fine. It should keep it going for another few years, at least until Windows 11 makes it obsolete!

A new USB adapter was required as the laptop didn't recognise the disk. After that, install was simple. Occasionally I do experience what appears to be a pause, but that could be because of AV software.

Winsat disk - drive c before and after replacing disk and notice improved read/write performance.
Did not want to pay extra for software Crucial recommended to transfer OS and data from old to new. Instead created 'repair disc windows 10' and 'system image' (via control panel backup / create system image for Win7 (yes 7 even though it's Win10) note bios must support uefi and change from MBR to GPT)

All good things come to an end, like hard drives that are on the road a few hundred days of the year. Got this as a replacement drive. This thing is fast! Looks like I don't need to replace my machine after all. Install was EZ. Instructions and tips made it a short process. I was back on my machine and installing a new OS in less than an hour!

The Acronis software, which must be downloaded ONLY when the new drive is physically attached to your device would not install. I sent emails to both Acronis (Not our problem since it is a OEM version) and Crucial (Go to this website which has nothing to do with your problem). Tried contacting crucial by phone but gave up after holding for 20 minutes. Got the problem solved by downloading a free trial of Macrium Reflect 7. Worked like a charm.

This SSD stopped working after only 3 months. Suddenly stopped showing up on the drive list. BIOS and disk management can't see it either. Recovery software can't see it, even my linux machine can't see it as a drive. It is completely dead.

I would not buy this product
I just received and installed a SSD MX500 1TB to replace a HD for an HP Envy 17 laptop with Win10 64 bit OS. Cloning with Acronis True Image software as instructed apparently went without a glitch. However, after installing the SSD the laptop does not recognize the SSD drive. Appallingly, I was not able to reach the technical support line neither by phone nor web chat. Tried email support and waiting for a reply to my email! I need the laptop up and running ASAP! I rate this product ONE star due to poor technical support and compatibility issues.

Great product but less than straightforward installation
Was thinking of replacing my PC (a Lenovo H520 running Windows 10) but this SSD (plus additional 4GB memory) has transformed its performance.
However, installation process was less than straightforward:
1). Would have been useful to have been told I would need a SATA to USB cable (I also needed a mounting bracket since old was 3.5 inch)
2). Cloning software kept restarting machine without starting cloning process. I had to create a create a boot disk to run the process outside of Windows 10. No support was available from cloning software provider (Acronis) although there was some guidance on the Crucial support page. Issues related to UEFI (rather than BIOS).
3). There were also issues getting the cloned disk to boot on the Lenovo. Had to disable Secure Boot and enable CSM mode.
Point 3 probably down to Lenovo but I would have expected more guidance from Crucial re 1 and 2.

Works fine but there are a few quirks.
I have a 2015 Mac running OS10.14. While diagnostics didn't find trouble with the original HDD, the Mac was way slow. Load times measured in fractions of an hour instead of fractions of a minute. Apple says that HDDs are not suitable for the APFS which is standard in 10.14 and later OSs. So I took the plunge in late 2019 and bought the MX500 1 TB SDD from iFixit along with the tool bundle (cards, pocket, pizza cutter, etc.) which is convenient, if not essential. The migration/cloning information at Crucial's website was, at that time, out of date and didn't work properly (for me, anyway). I obtained a CCC license from Bombich which worked smoothly. I should mention that Bombich recommends installation of an SSD before cloning; there have been reported failures to make a bootable SSD if the procedure is reversed. So I put the HDD into the pocket, connected the USB and started the Mac; it found the external HDD so I proceeded with the cloning. APFS automatically includes the hidden software to use Apple's Disc Utility to re-install the OS if necessary. However, earlier OSs do not but CCC does allow the user to manually do that part of the installation. As regards the SSD installation, the instructions (and comments) at the iFixit website are quite helpful. I would add only that the SATA cable in the Mac is short so loosening the adjacent speaker is almost essential. The replacement of the drive and fan took about 90 minutes, I didn't re-attach the display with adhesive strips. I simply used 4 pieces of clear packing tape at the corners. This was a precaution in case I had to tear the Mac down again. I would also suggest that one have a supply of canned air on hand to remove dust. It's wise to remove the fan so that one can clean the processor heat sink, too. The Mac's performance after this upgrade was astonishing. Boot-up takes a half minute instead of 2 or 3 minutes, applications load in 5-10 seconds. I couldn't be happier with the upgrade.

Worth the investment
I have an older Apple MacBook Pro that started to crawl with the mechanical hard drive that came with the computer. It got to a point where I was getting the Beach Ball of Death constantly while running well anything, the boot up time was getting exceptionally longer and none of the diagnostics I ran made the computer run any better. I decided to invest the money on an SSD and memory upgrade because I wanted to get a few more years out of the computer and now its running significantly faster! Boot up time now is about 20 to 30 seconds, compared to 3 to 5 minutes before the computer was usable. Software updates could take upwards of an hour or more depending on what was being installed. Slow downs, freezing, beach ball of death where way to common. Now after the upgrades I have a very usable and capable machine. The computer was fine when I first got it several years ago but I should of done this a year a ago. Yes the money was well spent and YES I would recommend Crucial products to everyone. In the past I have had very good experience with Crucial products.

It's a great product. I also purchase the Crucial Install Kit for 2.5 inch internal SSD because it comes with a USB - SATA connector that makes it easy for me to connect this drive to my PC. After backup or clone I can then put the drive away safely.

We ordered this product to replace the hard drive in our HP laptop. It arrived promptly and well packaged. Other unrelated issues forced us to purchase another laptop. We sent a request to return the still unopened hard drive package. Right away customer service responded and sent us a return label. Failed after three weeks in a lightly-used desktop. Machine froze, would not POST. Tried drive in different computer--same issue. AVOID. Crucial is declining. And they also spam you and don't honor unsubscribe requests.

Can't get it too work
I've tried everything. Now the drive is not recognized. I've tried power cycling on 2 different computers. Still wont see it. I really don't want to do a fresh install. Maybe I'll try a Samsung SSD. On a side note this is the second one I've tried. Same results. A dead SSD. So now I have 2 drives that don't work in my HP Envy laptop

Quick delivery, bit weird it come from Czech Republic, as I'm UK based customer. Installation was easy and provided cloning tool worked fine with second attempt (i blame my old HDD as it was stuck on 100% and took me forever to transfer 100gb of data). It would be helpful to let customers know that they will need SATA to USB cable for cloning, as it wasn't provided with new SSD.

I have a 10 year old laptop with Windows 10 and MS 365. The cloud features and newer operating system had become too much for it and it was sloooooow.
I decided to try replacing the hard drive with an SSD. The laptop boots up much faster and overall performance has improved significantly. Disk access is often a performance bottleneck and the SSD solved it.

I have lost faith in crucial drives
I have owned a total of 6 crucial drives starting from the BX100 line ( that drive is still working properly ) I have purchased 3x MX500GB , 1x1TBMX500 ,1x2TBMX500, they all failed or showed signs of premature death in HD sentinel or other monitoring software. I will not be purchasing or recommending these drives any longer. its a shame because they were my go to for price to performance and a great alternative the the Samsung evo line. Make matters worse unless you complain about it crucial charges you duties to rma your drive , they don't take the time to specify in there documentation that its a warranty replacement unless you complain about the charges poor customer service all around.

A Staple for performance per dollar
It's at the peak of what SATA lll can offer and if this is the form factor you need it's hard to go wrong for an OS drive and for gaming there's very little benefit to spending more since the bottle neck will be elsewhere in the system. Just keep in mind this isn't ideal for repetitive large data transfers that general users would never do as that is a use case for NVME drives.

I previously had one that lasted just under a year, but unfortunately it stopped working for unexplained reasons. I then used crucials automated RMA/Warranty system and they shipped one out to me straight away as a replacement, and I just had to return the faulty one. The new one received works just as it should with no issues at all. Very happy that they resolved the issue quickly and without hesitation.

Replaced a 320GB 7200rpm HDD with this and added 8GB of extra RAM (for 12GB total) to a near 10yr old Dell XPS L502x inherited from my son. I don't use it a lot, hence reluctance to buy new but it does everything I ask super fast and will easily do me till Win 10 end of life. Sometimes I reboot it just to congratulate myself and marvel at how fast it is. Upgrade was very easy with recommended software and a USB to SATA cable. Forget about doing a clean windows install from scratch. If you enjoy that kind of pain you're on the wrong website. If you're considering that, just do a transfer of existing system to this and run the windows 10 fresh start instead - not the other way round like I did, before i decided i definitely wanted an SSD.

Updated my 2011 Dell Latitude E6520 Laptop
I purchased this Crucial SSD to replace the existing SATA HD on my laptop. However, since my Dell had no USB 3.0 ports, I also purchased an SinLoon 2.5 Hard Disk Drive SATA 22Pin eSATA DATA USB powered cable adapter. Using the Acronis Ture Image software, the entire cloning process took less than an hour. My laptop is now running like new and I love it.

I love this SSD card. I can't believe how much faster my computer runs. Every application is so much faster. I'm completely blown away. Every time I switched from Word to excel, to google chrome it was unbearably slow. I had serious doubts about this but once everything was installed and rebooted. I'm glad I did.

SSD was flawless, Adapter kit not so much, USB to SATA plug in was defective and clone would not work, changed to another adapter and clone required about 40 minutes. Mounting adapter for SSD to desktop drive bay required slight modification, additional screw holes were drilled.

Absolutely worth it
I have been thinking for a while about if upgrading the HDD in a ~8 year old laptop to an SSD was worth it or not - having decided to go for it, I can say it certainly was. Much improved performance, especially with start-up and loading applications, improved battery life and quieter. Disk cloning and physical install were quick and easy. Crucial's price seemed reasonable and I hope their reputation for reliability and quality prove to be correct.

Device dint not work
The delivery of the device was very slow. I was told that there was software that I could download to copy an existing drive. The fortware failed to recognise the device.
I used alternative disk copy software, but the device failed to register.

Warranty Replacement was with a brand new drive
Has a 3 or 5 year warranty and fortunately I was able to claim the warranty after the original drive bricked after 3 1/4 years. Why on earth did Windows 10 defrag SSDs?

Bought to replace a burnt-out spinning disk and saved my 2012 MacBook Pro from the scrap heap. With guidance from I fix it managed the task of replacement with no hiccups as it is fairly easy if you know what you are doing. A very satisfying DIY job. Postage is slow atm (Nov 2021) so best to allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

I bought a PC with room for upgrade with the manufacturer's service and maintenance manual. The PC upgrade with SSD was easy to accomplish and Crucial will no doubt be the source for memory when that upgrade seems necessary.

Works great, easy to install. But needed to go onto YouTube to learn how to allocate memory and such.
Tutorials are geared towards replacing Hard-drive rather than adding onto pre-existing memory. Was kinda scary at first throwing all these options trying not to delete everything. But it worked out

This is the best thing I've done for my laptop!
I had a little difficulty as it didn't work completely the first time (although all messages said 'successfully cloned'). Called support, they were great. Suggested I do it again, that it may need more than a couple tries. I thought I would be able to test new drive whilst drive was connected to the USB with SATA adapter, but this didn't allow me to boot from the new drive, so I kept trying to re-clone. Eventually I decided to try to install it and see if it worked. It booted up straight away! It's so much faster than my old HDD, which probably had errors. I'm so pleased with it. I should have done this a long time ago!!

Does not work as replacement for my laptop HDD
I've attempted to use the acronis true image for crucial software to clone my laptop hard drive. It fails every time. I have gotten "fails to write" to sectors. Just plain old failures. Not very happy with the product so far. Not sure where to go from here. The SSD itself seems to be ok, I guess I just don't have the required level of experience. I was hoping my limited knowledge would be sufficient; I guess it is not.

The 'clone' software does not work
I would love to give the SSD a review, but at the moment the 'clone' software from Acronis is so slow and unstable I've been unable to clone my old hard drive onto the SSD - it either crashes and says 'unable to copy' or says it will take 32 days to copy my hard drive!

This drive does not disappoint...
My old 256G Crucial SSD was full (only a few GB left!!) This drive was 10 years old and still going strong.
Purchased this 1TB as replacement. The Acronis True Image software (via download) worked flawlessly to clone old drive onto the new one. System booted back up - now with a TB available - without issue. This new drive is faster than the old one...still runs cool and I expect it will last just as long.

I chose this drive because of the combination of price, performance and capacity. To this point I am happy. Drive has resulted in far more of a performance increase than I expected. Drive was installed in a Toshiba Satellite E45-B4300 running Windows 10. Set up a before and after scenario by adding Outlook to my startup. Times are reboot from stable system to Outlook inbox loaded.

Used to try to clone crucial ssd and replace the old drive. I have used acronis previously 2X. Worked great, but not this time. Acronis got error messages at first, but then cloned. But the ssd is not recognized & will not boot into Win 10. DOS shows files, so I think the clone is there.

I use this in my desktop computer for personal record keeping and research. The product was exactly as described on the website and was the exact item needed for my computer. Installation was a simple 5 minute process but that may be different depending on your system. The data transfer was super easy but did take a bit of time. So far the product is performing as expected. I have ordered from Crucial several times in the past as has my son, and we have never had a problem with their products.

I'm on my 4th MX SSD and all is good
This is my 4th MX SSD and I use them for cloning hard drives for older computers that run Windows XP and 7. Everything has worked well for me using Aomei Backupper for cloning. I didn't have any luck with the recommended Acronis tool. As I said in a previous review, there is always the nagging question of whether it's worth it (if your hard drives are still working). That's because I haven't seen a significant increase in disk access (opening an application) or boot up time. And then there is that whole issue of "garbage collection" for SSDs. Bottom line, I would recommend the Crucial SSDs.

Hardrive is fine and my old pc is much quicker. However, the Acronis software didnt create a bootable drive and after a search on the interweb, it explained why. After using Macrium Reflect it booted as normal and all was perfect.

They also sold me usb 3 sata external disk adapter for . $.99. this was very helpful in cloning old h/d 500 mg drive which is now spare. very pleased. also purchased memory that worked on install. had bought other brand about a year ago they said was compatible NOT!!! had to return. crucial recommended memory installed no problems crucial upgrades to 12 year old hp laptop gave new speed and life.

I bought this 1 TB SSD to replace a 500 GB HDD in an older Dell computer. I had to buy an adapter for it to fit the 3.5 inch drive slot. I copied over a G4L image, and it came right up! I then expanded the partition for the OS, and now have lots of space. And the system is quite a bit faster. Very nice!

Purchased for my son's 5 yr old laptop which was slow. I have built desktops before and have SSd's installed and appricate the advantages over HDD. Installation was straight forward and went without a hitch. Instructions from Crucial resources were excellant. My son is happy and his machine starts much quicker and is more responsive overall. I have been buying Crucial products for many years and always found their products to be reliable.

This hard drive and new operating system allows my laptop to perform better than when it was new.
This is my second purchase of the MX500 - SSD. I installed this one about 2 weeks ago in my Toshiba laptop. I then installed Linux Mint as the operating system, it's been flawless. The first one I installed in my wife's HP about a year ago, Installed Linux, and it has been flawless also. Both of our laptops are more than adequate for what we need, so the price of a hard drive is far better than a brand new laptop.

Replaced 5200rpm laptop drive. The difference is night and day. 35 second boot time for a 2014 laptop is amazing. I went with Crucial and MX500 for quality and reliability at a good price.

Excellent replacement for an HDD for any SATA-based PC
I have actually purchased two of these units to replace the old HDD on a Dell Inspiron 5000 series laptop and an HP Envy 24-inch all-in-one desktop. I had also previously replaced another HDD with an SSD from another brand on my old reliable Dell XPS M1210 laptop which is now 14 years old and still working. After having such a good result with the XPS and having so much trouble with the HDD on the Inspiron, which was replaced once under warranty from Dell, I decided to go ahead and install the SSD. It was specially mandatory after the 2nd replacement HDD simply quit working so I was left with a useless Inspiron 15 and Dell was only offering me to replace the 2nd HDD with a similar unit, and charging me money because they may need to use "some additional tools" for restoring the original Windows 10 license. Found some videos on YouTube about how to open the laptop, which is more complicated compared to the old XPS where you just open the HDD bay access panel and swap the old and new units. Anyway, after opening it was only matter of disconnecting the SATA bus, unscrewing the HDD craddle, replacing the old disk with the MX500 SSD and installing it again and connecting back the SATA bus. Close the laptop and then re-boot with an emergency flash drive which you can create from the Microsoft Windows 10 support page. The procedure automatically installs the operating system and makes all the necessary steps to connect to the Internet, get to your previously registered Windows 10 license and that's it. Since for several years now I have all my files conveniently backed up and permanently updated, I had no trouble in getting back to work. Indeed during the time the Inspiron was down I continued to work without trouble on the XPS which is my stand-by computer, so when the Inspiron went back to business it was easy. No loss of working time. Went ahead and ordered the 2nd MX500 for the HP Envy all-in-one and did a similar replacement procedure which solved its slow speed.

Easily installed and my laptop is so fast!
I use my laptop for email, web browsing and genealogy research. The research involves searches on websites, saving records and photographs. My old hard drive struggled to keep up and I was frustrated with its performance. With Crucial's SSD I no longer wait for saving or accessing files on the drive, it is very fast. I'm pleased.
I've purchased Crucial SSDs and RAM before. I like the thorough instructions with videos and the free Acronis software to clone the hard drive plus the scan tool on their website ensures the parts will work with my system.

Everything is fine now but simply put, this is my first rodeo with a 1TB ssd drive. I used to clone drives years ago but they were a lot smaller drives back then and thus simpler to deal with. Your representative RAJ was very helpful as he sent me instuctions which allowed me to finally clone my hard drive without errors. I tried twice and obtained errors when the program tried to write to the ssd drive before his instuctions and only cloned once after i recived his verbal and written instructions and without any errors. I simply made sure i had a clean drive to copy from with all updates and using the sfc.exe command to assure all system files were good. Please tell Mr RAJ thanks!

The Acronis disk-cloning software that came with the SSD would not clone my hard drive. It kept giving various errors. I would contact tech support, and they would have me try something else, only to get the same error or a new one. Worse still, the process finally appeared to run to completion without errors, but when I installed the SSD, the system would not boot because the clone process had not completed successfully at all! The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is that Crucial did finally agree to take the SSD back and refund my money. However, I wasted 3 days trying to get this thing to work, the whole process was pure torture, and I would never put myself through it again.

Good item, a miss on the cloning software
Needed to upgrade an older laptop and increase storage. Replaced a 512GB HDD with a 1TB SSD. Easy physical swap, but not so much on the drive clone. The recommended Acronis software would not work after two downloads and three tries. Gave up and found a free offering online that worked like a charm. Love the SSD and resulting speed improvement, but be don't count on the software.

Acronis True Image cloning didn't work at all! Errors!
They said all I would have to do is connect the device to my computer, download Acronis True Image & clone the drive. True Image cloning won't work at all! I tried it 10 different ways and it kept having errors. I ended up having to do a clean install of windows. Because of this, I lost my windows license and office license. I had to repurchase Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. I also lost all of my previous computer settings and documents because of this.
Previously I bought a solid state drive from crucial. It's works for a while and then went all black screen. My computer wouldn't boot on this drive at all. Luckily, they did warranty the item and send me a replacement.

Scan recommended wrong drive format
The Crucial scan tool recommended this 2.5-inch SSD for my Dell Inspiron 15 3520. When it arrived and I opened up the laptop, it has an M.2 format SSD; the space where a 2.5-inch drive might go is occupied by part of the 4-cell battery. So, this drive is useless for me.

Remember to follow the directions! I did not, and my computer had difficulty booting up with both hard drives installed. My PC would often boot to the old hard drive. I disabled the old hard drive, and my new crucial SSD booted up perfectly.

The difference is unbelievable...
The difference is night and day. My machine wasn't slow, it took about a minute to get from cold and dark to a desktop, but now it's 15 seconds. Firefox now starts in four seconds instead of 16. The installation process, using the provided guidance online, was straightforward and pretty quick, and the software available was a breeze to use.

The difference between HDD and SSD is night and day
Going from a 5400 RPM Seagate HDD to a Crucial MX500 SSD was one of the best decisions to make with the biggest impact on my laptops performance. Not only did my startup go from minutes to seconds the overall performance is so great that now there is virtually no lag doing anything, everything instantly opens and runs as good as it can get.
The Crucial Storage Executive program that comes with your SSD on the website on the pamphlet has further performance options and information that is very impressive, things like Cache Momentum is something to turn on to even further boost the speed of your SSD. Although the boost is not that noticeable from my perspective but, it's always a welcome feature I hope to see more of in the future.

A Great Drive
When I bought my pc, I was had a constant problem of running out of space on my main drive. At 250g of space, I was right. After talking with the techs at where I bought my PC, they suggested I look at this brand drive and go for this. After using this product as long as I have now, I am considering a secondary drive and retiring the drive I have in there now. I am quite happy with the service this drive has given me and will continue to use this product in the future.

Replace your old hard drive
Unbelievable what this did for my I-3 PC's performance. Make certain you have an extra internal SATA cable set or you will have to buy a USB to SATA to install it, especially as your bootable drive. Use Acronis software to clone it that can be found on Crucial's site.

No Problem Install - Super Product
I used this to replace my hard drive that used to take 20 minutes at times to boot and ran with 100% disk usage even longer. With the SSD, I boot up in less than a minute and programs open up much faster. I also ordered the Install kit which had the SATA to USB connection that was needed for the system Clone. The software needed to clone (included with the SSD) was a no hassle installation and ran without a hitch.

revived the computer to 'like new' speeds!
my wife's windows 7 pro dell computer was running very, very slow. Had to use clonezilla to copy the disk, worked great!

I notice a big difference.
The old ssd i had for my gaming desktop was only a small allot of space. Since i got this brand i notice the starting up the pc was quicker to the main menu. I'm glad i got this cause it's very great and able to hold a lot of save items and no issue tryna open anything.

It was easy to clone and easy to fit , it certainly made my old Lenovo L440 speed up I am very pleased with this ssd.

I will purchase from Crucial again
My laptop was a Christmas special with HDD, no ram and windows 7 upgraded to 8.1. My wife's laptop was also a special with no ram and an HDD drive. I upgraded my unit first and after ordering the adapter cable I transferred the data off the old drive, installed the new SSD drive and the ram chip. No problems and have upgraded to Windows 10. Wife's laptop was SO Slow she asked me to see what I could do. Ordered the new SSD drive and upgraded her Ram. Again, made the swap with no problems. Love it and recommend Crucial to my friends and family. Thanks!

Worked great
I used this drive to upgrade and older machine with a Samsung 500 GB drive. The last time I tried to do
data migration with Samsung software, it would not work. Therefore, I decided to try Crucial this time. The Crucial drive and migration software worked with ease. Crucial has a better warranty on its drive. Bye, bye Samsung. I have also tried Western Digital drives; all considered, Crucial works better. I did not test the speed of the drive.

I've bought a couple of Crucial SSDs before and they've been fine. However, this time, the 1TB drive I bought failed to take the copy of my current drive, with the transfer failing with an I/O error. In the end, I formatted the drive completely, tried the transfer again and it worked. As I have my laptop backed up , I've installed the new drive. However, after a few days, all of a sudden it black-screened on me, basically saying it couldn't find the drive. Power down and back up, and all is fine. However, if it does it again, it's going back to Crucial ...

Excellent and easy upgrade
Upgraded my grandson's Dell laptop with more memory and an SSD drive. What used to take nearly 15 minutes to boot up now happens in 15 seconds. DRAMATIC difference!

Big improvement, but not an easy install
It took a long time for the Arconis software to work. So much so that I thought I had received a bad drive. Good thing I found the crucial management software to convince me otherwise. The whole process took 3 days to prep the disc for the first install which ended up as a fail. Redoing it only took an overnight download and it worked just fine on the second attempt. The performance improvement over the old hard drive is impressive

So much faster than stock hdd in laptop
The install was easy. However didnt use the Crucial cloning software. The Crucial cloning software was incredibly slow. I dont mean the cloning itself, just getting from prompt to prompt took 20 to 40 minutes between clicks. The SSD itself is incredibly fast when installed. Great upgrade for anyone at 100% C drive usage.

Seems perfect, installation easy
Thanks to the usb adapter that came with it it was possible to make a clone of the old hdd disk directly on this ssd disk. This made the Installation quick and quite easy.
That happened 4 days ago, so I can't say anything about the longevity

Supplied , but returned and no refund!
After using the Crucial App to identify the SSD hard drive on my laptop, this was ordered as identified. When I went to install it was obviously the wrong SSD. The helpteam confirmed this and that without additional parts and modifications the SSD would not fit. They also confirmed that there was no way of securing the SSD if if the laptop was modiified. They sent me a recorded returns label which I used and tracked return back to Crucial. This was Novemeber 2023 and at January 2024 still no refund!
