Upgrade RAM 2011 Apple Mini
I ordered two 4 GB RAM modules. When I first installed them I received audio beeps informing me that the memory was not recognized. I contacted Crucial Tech support and worked through problem with Steven. He was very helpful. We found that each module checked good in one of the ports, but not the other. He suggested that good results were had with previous calls if the problem port's card was given a little extra leveraged push in AFTER the slot was clipped back into locked position (I leveraged it further in with jewellers screwdriver). That solved it. It had been working fine since.

I have a 2011 Mac Mini that allows that allows upgrades. It came with 2G and I upgraded to 8G. My computer is so fast now I was able to upgrade to OS X El Capitan with no problem. I found out about this product when I took my computer to a Genius Bar to confirm that it was a lost cause. This product saved me a over thousand dollars because I did not have to buy a laptop. There were no instructions included but I found them on the Apple website. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!

I had an iMac with 8GB memory. I tend to run a lot of apps at once -- including Parallels running Windows 7 -- and often had to restart to free up memory. Adding two of these 4GM memories gets me to 16 ... and everything runs so much better. It's like a new machine. I especially like having the Crucial app tell me EXACTLY which memory products will work ... eliminates a chance for error transcribing something.

Can not comment about enhancement in speed of my Imac yet as have not run powerful programs on it simultaneously. Plan to install Logic Pro and possibly Nikon DSLR photo-editing software. Had 4 Mbs and now have 12 Mbs. Ram is running well. Only issue was physically installing the ram. The ram chips went in only with a lot of force. Had to use a plastic item as a hammer to push. Have pretty powerful fingers but could not with them alone.

I bought the memory to improve the performance of my early 2011 Mac Book Pro 13. I also added an SSD. The old MacBook is like a new high speed computer. It was having a very difficult time handling large Excel files before the upgrade.

Extra ram made a HUGE difference!
The extra ram makes my computer so much faster that I don't feel a need to replace it with a newer version. In the future, I will always order the maximum RAM that I can in future computers because I see how important it is to make the computer operate fast.

This was an update to a couple years old MacBook pro. With right screwdriver, easy to open case, take out existing ram, put in new ram. Computer accepted new ram on start-up, has helped to increase speed.

Perfect for what I needed

I cannot believe I waited years to add more memory to my stock iMac (27 inch, mid 2011). I went all in and purchased quantity 2 (totaling 16 GB from 4 - 4GB sticks). I maxed out my machine and wow does it make a difference. Prior to upgrade I just started getting heavily involved in graphic design and my computer was crashing every 30 minutes or so when using photoshop and other programs. It drove me mad! No hiccups since I easily installed the upgraded memory. Took 15 minutes to complete. Highly recommend!

As a non-techie, I was a little nervous about buying this and doing it myself. But it seemed so much cheaper to try and do it myself and seemed worth a shot before forking out a fortune on a new computer. Order arrived very quickly, it was super easy to install, my computer is so much faster than it used to be and I'm hoping I have staved off the need to buy a new computer for a couple of year. I could not be happier. Is this the best of product of its kind in the market - I have no idea. But for my purposes I'm delighted and have already recommended to others.

Well, long story short, I purchased what i thought was expensive high quality and it turned out to be aftermarket with the SPD data all erases from the EEPROM. Returned it and went with a real name manufacture. Learned my lesson well!

Apple iMac was fast enough, but several programs seemed unreliable, not always crashing but just "hiccuping" or hanging without explanation. Since installation have had no problems. Have upgraded several Windows systems over the past several years, all with Crucial items, and all have worked perfectly.

After installing the memory upgrade, I have had no issues running CPU intensive applications simultaneously! The memory was easy to install, took maybe 10 minutes because I was extremely cautious. I wish I had done it a long time ago!

Easy installation and flawless operation
My Macbook Pro was starting to lose some operating speed. I handle some large files and switching applications and large files became cumbersome. I got online and found this product and ordered it. Found a video online that showed me how easy it was to install (and it really was) and when I received my order that's what I did. Fired my Pro back up and it has been flawless.

Really speeded up my 2011 mac mini
I'd been putting off upgrading the RAM on my 2011 Mac Mini which was still at the base 2GB. Now I wish I hadn't waited so long. My computer is so darn zippy now. Opening, closing, and switching between multiple programs is so much easier now. Honestly, it feels like I bought a new machine. Love it.

only upgrade I've done so far. after install of 8gb ram, all my programs are opening faster and browsing the web is much snappier. I wouldn't say it's a complete turnaround of performance but well worth the price. looking to upgrade my hard drive next. hybrid/SSD: i haven't decided yet.

instructions should include a warnings that: 1.the plastic ribbons one pulls to remove moidules (on a late 2011 iMac) seem like they're going to snap if you pull them as hard as needed. 2. The pressure needed to seat the new modules is more than you'd think is safe.

I purchased more memory to improve the performance of my iMac. It is 4 years old and I figured adding more memory would improve performance and extend service life. Start up was taking a little longer and web pages were starting to take longer to load. Installing the additional memory was easy. I read the instruction on the internet and also watched a video prior to installation and it was a breeze. Start up performance has improved but not as much as I was expecting. However, system performance improved dratmatically! Programs open promptly and web pages load quickly. Almost no waiting.

The cure for a "memory hog" of an OS!
Just what we wanted to handle the "memory hog" of an operating system that a certain "in crowd" retailer releasted late last year. No way that 4 GB of RAM is adequate to run that OS - no matter what they state on their "glorified" web site.

Old Mac made new again from
Adding memory, always a great option!
Have an early 2011 Mac Book Pro, with all the new OS X updates it had become VERY slow and annoying to use. Upgrading memory from 4GB to 8GB made it run like it did when it was brand new. i7 Intel processor.

First off it was very easy to install. I've seen an improvement when I'm doing pretty much anything on my iMac. I originally bought this to improve my report writing when I do home inspections. (Multiple pictures are added to a document with other documents open at the same time.) I have not had a chance to test while writing a report but I have seen a noticeable increase in speed when opening multiple programs and working between all of them. Good investment!

I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro and this was just what the doctor ordered. After operating on only 4GB RAM working in SEO / tech, I had ordered RAM from another vendor and had a nightmare. One of the cards broke shortly after acquiring it and left me with all 4GB on one port and even slower performance! My order from Crucial was the exact opposite. I switched out the RAM with ease, the cards themselves look much better, perform much better, and keep me running light. The delivery was exceptionally fast and I can't be happier or more satisfied with the increased performance on my machine. Love it!!!

More Ram makes all the difference
I keep several major apps open at same time and work back and forth, Google AdWords, AdWords Editor, Excel, Word, Safari and a few smaller apps that help me get my work done. With 12 gigs ram, and I monitor usage, I was often getting close to 80% used and my mid-2011 mac was slowing down. Added 4 more gigs ram, Now, work is a breeze. And Truly easy to install. It has become a cliche that adding more ram is the easiest, cheapest, way to improve performance and I have found that true repeatedly.

Put the speed back in our iMac
Added 2 4gb cards to our 2011 iMac (had original 4gb total) and suddenly opening iPhoto was no longer a pinwheel spinning delay. Other applications use to lag badly if iPhoto or other graphic intensive applications were open. Generally I would have to kill iPhoto if I wanted to do anything else. Now they all play together fine. Very happy with results.

I did not notice a lot of "bang for the buck". Yes, it increased performance, but not nearly as much as I had been led to believe, so I am a little disappointed. Overall, I am "satisfied", but NOT "overyoyed". Interesting that your instructions include the "...no mention of pricing...". Hmmm, what are you trying to hide?

If you've ever priced out RAM from Apple, you will appreciate the price of this product. We were having problems with iMovie crashing. No more with this new memory. iDVD, which is no longer supported (for some absolutely unknown and strange reason) works with Yosemite once I installed this memory. I couldn't be happier

Bought to increase RAM obviously since Chrome likes to eat it all. My MacBook Pro (Early 2011) responds quicker and also found that my fans don't kick on into higher RPMs as much any more (4K videos on YouTube will cause it to speed up fan speed). Over all pretty happy, wish possibly to have gotten the 16gig

Added 2of these to t 2011 Mac doubling its memory. Have noticed since its install it does a funny thing in Safari browser and the drop down list when logged into Microsoft Outlook in that the drop down list becomes "distorted". This does not happen when looked into Outlook using the Chrome browser.

I used this in my Mid 2009 macbook pro. This model isn't supposed to support the 1333 mhz chips but apparently some do. I have 2 4gb chips @ 1333 and its been working fine. So i'd try it with these first and if it doesn't work go back down to the recommended ones.

The extra RAM for my iMAC works great! I did have some trouble installing it, however. It wasn't until I lay the computer on the top edge so gravity helped me put in the RAM properly that it worked. Laying it on its side didn't work at all. I would have appreciated that suggestion in the instructions, rather than having to figure it out myself.

RAM Works!
Mainly needed an increase in speed to run new Mac OS and Adobe CS. Works well. The only con is that the Macbook Pro screws were difficult to remove.

I use photo editing softwares, Lightroom and Photoshop. I can open both applications simultaneously and process images fast.

Very pleased
I've been very pleased with the improved performance of my iMac that came with the installation of this extra memory. My only caution is to not depend upon brute strength in seating the card into its socket -- I had to use a hard object to assist while pushing. The customer service I received prior to purchase was outstanding. So far, the product has performed reliabily, but obviously, I can't say anything about its long-term reliability

Excellent site which determined correct memory for my iMac.
Fact fit which provided flawless operation after upgrading a mid 2011 iMac from Lion to El Capitan. 4GB was increased to 12GB.

I can always count on Crucial when I need to add RAM.
I've been buying memory boards from Crucial for a very long time. I've never had an issue with any of it.
