Absolutely the most unfriendly process I have encountered.
I bought this product with great anticipation for a great product and the most friendly and easiest installation as you have promised in all your online advertisements. By now I have spent 3 days to install an SSD drive replacing my mechanical hard drive and after 3 days and even calling costumer support (Case # 01254416) which was helpless unfortunately. I am in fact very close to sending the product back for refund if I am unable to configure this product to work in my computer.
Guys in crucial, please be advised that we are in the 2022, this process should be brainless and it feels like I need to be an engineer to overcome a simple process of installing an SSD drive. I have done so in the past with Samsung SSD and it was so easy, it was done in no time. I am quite disappointed.

Working Great!
Using as a secondary hard drive for gaming and external storage for large sets of files (picture library, documents, etc.). Drive is great so far and the extra capacity is great to have! Definitely worth the price.

Excellent product for what I needed
My hard drive in my laptop was slowly dying after a hard jolt (noisy and you could hear it spin). I got this as I had bought memory from Crucial before. Used the scanner tool, and it gave me several options to choose from.
I had prepared to reinstall my OS and all my files, but the cloning option was a great feature. It was easy to clone the old one to the new one. I used the bracket from my old HD. Reinstalled, and was up and running in minutes. I bought a better quality HD, so I now have a faster machine than what I had before. Very pleased with the product and how easy they made the process.
I would invest in a set of proper screwdrivers. I had a junk set when I did my memory, and it made things so hard. Spend the money and just get the proper tools.

Extending the life of my old laptop.
This SSD worked exactly as I expected it to. I bought it a few months ago and finally had time to install it.
It was fairly easy to install in my 10 year old Toshiba Satellite Laptop. The laptop screws were tiny, but I was able to reuse them and the mounting bracket. My plan was to start afresh by installing a clean version of Windows, so I had already created an installation USB drive for the task. I saw that Crucial supplies tools for cloning your previous disk, if it is still functional, which I think would be helpful, but I didn't use it.

Died only after a couple of months of use.
Barely used the drive in my PC. After only a few months of use, it completely died, nothing retrievable from it. On top of that, Crucial refused to pay for shipping the defective drive back to them.

I recommend this product for people wanting a very fast pc.
The SSD drive product is used in my gaming rig, I will never be using a sata drive ever again.
The SSD drive is using much less voltage than the sata drive and takes up very little space in the pc case and is a lot cooler when operating.
The sata drive when it was warmed up was like a little volcano in the pc case.

Best thing I did for an aging laptop. Broght it back to life
I used the SSD to replace an old HDD on my ASUS laptop. I was about to replace the laptop since it was so slow. The install/clone procedure was so easy! I was expecting problems, but there were no problems or issues. The physical install was just as easy. I really am pleased that Windows moved over with no issues, and works normally.
The new SSD is so fast! The laptop used to take about 45 seconds to boot, and was so disk-intensive that it was basically unusable for about 5 minutes. Now the laptop boots in about 10 seconds, and is ready to go once the desktop appears. This has saved me from buying a new laptop (especially with prices these days). This was by far the best decision I made regarding the laptop and would definitely do it again. If you have an aging laptop, try this before investing in a new one - it may save you as it saved me!
