Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great home printer for the price.I have had many, many printers over the years and was surprised by how easy set-up was for this machine. 5 minutes and I was set! Pros: * The printing is very crisp. No smears. * Hello wireless! I love that I can be on my phone in the kitchen and can easily print a recipe from my phone.* the Canon website is also extremely user friendly with good tech support Cons: * It`s loud. Not shake the house loud, but it`s noticeable. * It uses a lot of ink. Great for a casual printer like me-- not ideal if you plan on running a print shop out of your house. Bottomline: Good printer for on the cheap. Great for students or families.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-in-one printer for small office/homeI was offered this printer for review and here is what I found:Assembly - The only assembly required is like any other printer, i.e. sliding in the cartridges; however, this printer has 5 different cartridges. The assembly is pretty straightforward, and I was able to assemble without reading the manual.Form factor - Compact printer with all functions -i.e. Scanner, copier and printerWiFi print/set-up - very easy set-up, just put the wifi password and you are all set. I used it with Macbook and had to do nothing - i found the printer on WiFi and fired a printer and it was printed without issue.Touchscreen - felt a bit fragile and I have kept it covered with protector - Canon should provide a protector with the Printer. As this is the crucial interface and if you get scratches, it may ruin the whole thing. What I don’t like:For each output (copy/print), a tray opens up which tilts up the panel on which touch screen is installed - I feel this is over sophistication. You won’t like to leave the printer in this weird and have to close the panel by pushing it, once you are done. Then again in next print, the tray opens up, tilts the touch screen panel.Mystery operation/processing - often, the printer start doing something of its own and make noise as if parts are moving inside for a print, but there is no print. This happens about 30-40 seconds after the print has finished. I am not sure why this happens, but I guess this is because of some processing that is happening inside. If some message is printed on screen on what is going on such as “Making ready the printer for next use so you won’t have to wait” .. or something more meaningful - that would be very helpful to know what is going on inside.Messaging - some of the messaging on the screen seemed off. For example, when I choose Copy option, after scanning completed, I previewed my document and then printed it - the message it started displaying was “Scanning…..”; however the printer was already printing and after about 6-7 seconds, the messaging changed to “Printing…..” - but this is very minor, since of the things are working perfectly fine. What I like:I printed few photos, but I couldn’t get a store quality print, but it may have to do with paper. ON average photos take 1.25 minutes to print.Noise level - the noise level is pretty low for this printer. The only time when I feel it creates a bit of noise is when it pulls the paper from Scanning - Scanning and copying is pretty awesome, I can stop the copying in middle, while the scanning is happening. What I really like is:Scanning process is pretty fastI can preview the outcome of scan (on the screen) before even printing I get a warning, if the images are scanned tiltedIt identifies paper type, for example, matte vs glossy vs plain paper and appropriately gives messages/warningsLow Noise mode - there is an option of Low Noise, I tried that and I found that there was no difference in speed of printing, but the noise levels reduced quite a bit. However, the mysterious sound that comes after printing has finished, remained the same.Overall, I feel that this is a very good Home/Small office printer for doing color and b/w jobs. It prints photos reasonably well, but it is not a mainstream photo printer. For office work or assignments it is very good printer. I only have 2 main concerns as mentioned above as well - a) for print-out, the screen panel is lifted, which has to be put back in place once the print is over, for me this is very annoying. b) The set of 6 cartridges is expensive replacement. My recommendation - if you want a WiFi color printer with scanner for home/small office, GO FOR IT. It is a no-hassle printer that can handle lot of things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid printer at a good price.I have been in the IT industry for over ten years and have worked on and with my fair share of printers. Let me be clear that I did receive this printer in exchange for agreeing to write a review. This is now my third Canon printer and I have to say I have been pleased with all three. The printed installation directions were a bit misguided so I would recommend to follow the online instructions that come up after you install the printer software. The ink tanks are easy to install and did not make any mess. When it comes to ink I generally purchase the off brand tanks because I rarely print pictures. However if I were to print pictures I would stick with the Canon branded ink. The pictures I printed all came out very clear and I was impressed with the overall quality of printing both on regular paper and photo printer. As far as printing documents this printer continues to follow the same high quality I have come to expect from Canon printers. The touch screen menu on the front is responsive and easy to use. If you are looking for a solid printer for your home that prints high quality pictures then I would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek Printer-Great image quality! In exchange for my thoughts and opinions on the PIXMA TS9120 RD Printer, I received the product for free. The Canon PIXMA TS9120 came in a large box with a picture of the printer. Precautions were taken by the manufacturer to ensure my product would not be damaged during the shipping process. There was, what I felt to be an excessive amount of the protective peel off tape. Setting the printer up was relatively easy with following the instructions. Installing the ink cartridges proved to be really easy as well. With that being said, I really struggled with getting the printer up and running. In the process, you are to print a test page and then put it on the scanner to calibrate the print head. I followed the instructions very carefully and got an error code that told me calibration had failed and to make sure it was clean. I did this and it wouldn`t let me use the same test page to try calibrating. It made me reprint the test page which takes four minutes. I tried this process 3 times in a row and then consulted the Canon website for assistance. After trying to calibrate again and it didn`t work again I figured I would just try to print anyways. The image quality is stunning! I had received a sample pack of photo paper to print pictures and I was literally amazed. Word documents came out in good quality as well. The printer worked just fine without calibration success and I was extremely happy with what came out. I enjoyed the ease of printing directly from my phone. The PIXMA has very modern, sleek look (mine was red) and I really love the touch screen feature as well. Although the calibration was frustrating I was very pleased with this printer. And think it is a great value for home printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome at-home printerI was provided with a free sample in exchange for an honest review. Set-up was pretty difficult, it took us a couple of days to get it going. Being electronic, it was relatively easy to use once we finally got it set up. I really liked the touchscreen interface. That was really interesting and very different from any other printer I have ever used. It works well with my smart phone which is kind of neat and very convenient. I was able to print out some documents directly from dropbox. I tried, however to print out some other items such as coloring pages that were listed on the electronic interface but struggled to get them printed out. I suspect this will take more trial and error to figure out. I kept getting error messages about the paper size but no further direction which was very frustrating. The printer should be a bit more user-friendly. The scanner worked well for me; I didn`t have any trouble with it. I also enjoyed the option of printing out photos. This was a pretty seamless process for me. The photos were good quality for a home printer. It is a nice looking printer end it doesn`t take up a lot of space. I really liked the color.I was provided with a free sample in exchange for an honest review

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of features, excellent quality, happy making!I am hugely excited to be the owner of this high-quality color printer/scanner/copier/all-in-one machine. I received the product for free in exchange for an honest review, and although I may not have otherwise been in the market for such a machine, it has genuinely revitalized my enthusiasm for both photography and technology. I have been having a lot of fun exploring the printer's features and capabilities, with a focus thus far on printing a variety of personal photographs and downloaded hi-resolution art images to fill an assortment of long-empty frames that will soon be making my apartment walls look significantly better. This unit also made it simple and even pleasurable to scan in some photos I have of my grandmother when she was a baby -- a task I have been meaning to attend to for years now, and may have continued to put off were it not for the convenience the Pixma provided me. I am not an expert in color printers/scanners by any means, but the quality seems awesome and there are lots of convenient features including auto-on, an interactive touch screen, wireless connectivity, ability to control the unit from my computer or smartphone, ability to scan directly into Google Drive/Dropbox/etc, and access to a variety of free printables including coloring pages, sudoku puzzles, greeting cards, and more. The product is also visually attractive on my desk (I got it in red -- nice!) and fairly intuitive to use. Getting the product initially setup was a bit more time-consuming than I expected, but not at all difficult and worth my patience. At one point I did struggle to get the printer to automatically recognize when I was loading photo paper in the rear tray as opposed to non-photo paper in the cassette tray; I ended up printing a couple of photos from the cassette tray out of impatience, and they actually look pretty good aside from a some subtle horizontal lines going across the image in places. When I resolved the paper tray recognition problem (I had to manually change the presets on my computers print dialogue box from "Photo on Plain Paper" to "Photo on Photo Paper" -- duh?) the printed images looked flawless -- no lines, rich colors, and surprisingly fast. I am excited to experiment with printing on different types of papers, printing labels for my pantry jars, making custom cards for friends, scanning in my daughter's artwork, and not having to pay unnecessarily exorbitant shipping charges to online printing companies for just a few 5x7s. I would definitely recommend this printer to a friend and am looking forward to continuing to use it on the regular!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ItemI bought this new printer when my old canon printer died of printer header failure. I do not do a lot of printing so this type of printer is best for me to do photo prints and docuemets. It is a compact printer very stylish for printers and very easy to set up in my wifi network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works WellThe printer works well for printing. Even thought it says it is an allin-0ne printer. It isn't. There is no fax capability. I would recommend this printer if all you are looking for is printing.
