Decent basic printer
Decent basic printer. No bells. No whistles. Easy set up. Does allow black only draft printing to conserve ink. Haven’t had it long enough to know how fast it uses ink or it’s reliability.

It's a printer
I only bought this because my Pixma self-destructed after only two years. It was a bit of a pain to set up without a screen, and it's a very standard printer. I wish I didn't have to buy a new Canon every 2 years. This will probably be the last one ever because it's time to find a more reliable brand.

It's good pricing and works fine when I had it I wish could keep it I had returned it I don't need anymore. I'm getting another one soon. but the worst part was set up to my pc and wifi. it took 2 hours with assistance. another than that work perfectly.

On the cheaper end. Good for high school/college student or someone who prints a paper here or there.. not great for photo printing. Don’t see it lasting longer than 2 years.

Set up isn’t easy
There isn’t any paper instructions and there isn’t a USB cord. The instructions came on a DVD and I do not have a way to see them. I still haven’t been able to set it up.

This printer has caused me nothing but stress and aggravation. Doesn’t connect to wifi and takes forever to reset. I wish I didn’t have to even give it one star. I own a printer and have to go to the library to print. It’s going in the trash today.

Awful wi-fi setting
Once the printer is turned off, it "loses" the wi-fi setup. It will take about 30-40 minutes just trying to get the printer online again.

Paid app for iphone printing! Horrible WIFI setup. Not worth it.
Trying to connect the printer to wifi and then to the phone/laptop is a terrible headache. I wish I can give this 0 stars. I want to return but it's past the return date. Do NOT recommend this product! Worst printer I've ever purchased!

Decent printer software bad
Decent printer Assembly instructions not as clear as they should be. Could not get software from website to install on Windows 10. Spent over 2 hours working on it and it never would install. Windows 10 saw the printer when it was plugged in and it works, but the software was an extreme frustration

Prints decent but super LOUD!!!
I set this up today and it wasn’t hard to set up at all. It is however super loud and I ended up literally with a headache before I was done printing. Not sure if it’s worth keeping. It also jammed up on me a few times while printing envelopes.

Buy a Different Printer
I have owned multiple Canon printers and I do not recommend this printer for anyone. This printer does not represent Canon products very well and feels like a toy. It was also hard to setup. This printer has had multiple paper jams and multiple sheet pulls. It is very loud. I have printed less than 50 pages in the 6 months I’ve owned this printer and the ink needs to be replaced already. My assumption is, it either comes with starter cartridges or uses a lot of ink. The ink costs more than a new printer on sale, so it’s cheaper to pay a little more and just buy a new printer…definitely a different model.
I gave it 2 stars because when it didn’t jam, pull multiple sheets of paper, and had enough ink, the print was pretty good.

This printer is perfect for people are working from home or doing online school during these tough times. A downside for some people that it doesn’t have a built in copier or scanner but the app works flawlessly for scanning and copying documents

The printer is great but I wouldn’t order from this website again! They don’t tell you when things are out of stock.. I was also told that I wouldn’t have to worry about returning but wasn’t told it would cost a ridiculous amount to return. I recommend the printer but not the site.

Quite Good for an inexpensive printer
I bought this a month ago to replace my MG2420 when the "ink absorber tank" had filled up. I wanted to match the ink types (245, 246 as I had previously bought a back up supply of ink. The printer works well and is essentially similar to the MG2420. The print quality is good. The paper feed sometimes "pulls" 2-3 sheets at a time which is not convenient when printing a multi page document. I wish Canon would either increase the size of the ink tank absorber or get a different design. It is frustrating to throw out a perfectly good printer (MG2420) because the ink tank fills up!! I print memos, telecons, and financial reports. I have used Canon printers for over15 years, and have had to throw out quite a few for this reason.!
