Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep in mind this was brand new out of the box Went through and tried the alignment twice. Every single one of my photos regardless on whatever paper came out horrible and lined up. It also came with the body of it worn and whited out from the cardboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will Not print on "draft" mode with Macbook Pro This printer seems fine and was easy to set up. I have realized though after purchasing it that it will not print in "draft" mode from my Macbook Pro. I've googled it and it seems to be a problem that is known for a while but hasn't been fixed. This is unacceptable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Home Printer It took about 30 minutes to setup the printer. You can use a CD or online software for setup. There is a small instruction booklet for basic setup but you can also download a comprehensive 454 page user manual. It has a 17” x 17’ X 7” footprint and weighs about 5 to 7 pounds. The print quality is good but printing is somewhat noisy. There are two ink cartridges: one for black and one for color. They are small and are not made for large printing jobs. Printing can get quite expensive. Scanning and copying is easy to do using the scanning utility program. I have not used the fax. Conclusion: an excellent printer for home use with small print jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JUNQUE I bought this to replace my printer that decided not to scan anymore. I bought this online so I wouldn't have to deal with Best Buy. Unpacked it, followed the directions to load the printer ink - (nightmare. tried to install it in my brand new Dell laptop, no wireless to be found. I actually got to print out a test sheet, I need to fix the print heads. That''s about as far as I got and it's sitting next to me doing nothing. Total waste of $$$$

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless connectivity setup I just got this printer the beginning of the week. It just took a bit more time than I anticipated to connect this printer to my wireless network. It should have gone a whole lot smoother than it did. I am hoping I don’t have problems with it down the road. So far so good. Time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Unremarkable Printer Printer seems to work OK? Struggled a bit with setup and the display screen is way to small and located at a difficult angle to see its messages. Paper tray somewhat small as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. My previous printer, also a Canon, was worked very hard (I'm a student) and lasted over two years with no problems whatsoever. So I decided to buy another Canon printer. So far so good. Was very pleased to find out that it does 2-sided printing without me having to turn over the pages and refeed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK I'm comparing this a Canon Pixma to a MP560, about 8 yrs old printing is faster as is the scanning even at 300mp The ink ran out very quickly and the cartridges are really expensive .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pixma Canon Printer It's very temperamental...shows errors for every little thing and you have to go online to figure out what it means and how to fix it. In fact, you have to go online for pretty much everything...I really dislike that!! Commands are difficult to decipher. Paper takes forever to flip and print on second side. Paper is difficult to put in with the paper-catch above it and in the way. But it works. It was difficult to interface with my computer. I don't like wireless...I prefer a cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk - Do NOT Buy If I have to write the review in 2 words then it will be "Wireless Junk". Buy this printer if you don't mind rebooting it or your cellphone, router, laptop 20 times a day. The look of the App/ Desktop software is throwback to 90s and works in the similar way. Probably they developed it for Windows 95 and somehow tried to make it work with Wi-Fi. The App prints/ scans a document and then if you try to scan next document - complains of connectivity issues. And here is what you are asked to do for restoring the connextivity. Reboot everything starting from Router. Well, if you are scanning or printing 40 documents - you have to repeat the reboot process at least 20 times. Just waiting for the COVID situation to improve, will return this piece of junk as soon as I get a chance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good home printer. Purchased for personal use. So far product is good. Good for home printing where high quality is not expected. Ink use is not optimized. Little bit bulky. Easy to setup by following the instructions. Easy to replace the ink and paper. Most liked feature is WiFi ready, give capability to place the printer any where. Mobile print is also good. Goos for this price.Scanning is also good.

Still learning this got it last week I'm not much for tecnolagy so I like that it's easy to use and understand gives you what to do on the screen only jammed once so far that's kinda hard to get it unjammed but still got it so I guess for the money it's worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to setup. It was printing/scanning from my iPad in 10 minutes. I am very happy with this device. The setup was self explanatory and very easy. I downloaded the Canon Print utility which makes it a breeze to print and scan. Upon completing the setup and ready to connect, the WiFi automatically picked up the printer as a WiFi device and it was very easy to set it up to work with my router. At that point, you can use the Canon Print utility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall pretty good printer The print quality is good, but it prints very slow. I did not realize how slow it would print since I had never owned a printer. Went through two ink cartridges in one day. I may spend more of a laser and donate this one to a nonprofit. Would recommend if you do not required lot of printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TR4520 IS AWESOME, BUT BEWARE. I purchased the TR4520, and have no issues with it. The fact i can use it with a desktop, my iPad, and my cell phone is awesome. Only gripe i had was the technical support has issues with a 3rd party who i thought was Canon technical support when they asked for my number called got into my computer the help the set up as directed on the pamphlet that came with the printer said my WIFI was corrupt and wanted to sell me protection. I pay for my protection. And the WIFI is secured through the provider. Canon said after my complaint said they were having issues with hackers, so be careful. The printer thought works as advertised. I am pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing value and print options I bought this printer a few days ago. Setup took me 30 mins for all the computers (4 in the home and phones (2). The instructions to setup are extremely clear. I wanted a cheap printer for my daughter's school work. I am assuming the photo print quality is not going to be great since the printer is reasonably priced. But thats not why I bought it. I have a laser monochrome printer which is not network ready, so the canon is a huge convenience. The print quality is decent for documents. It is dead slow compared to my laser but thats not a fair comparison. I dont print color much, so this is good for me. I was also able to buy the XL cartridges for a good price (original, not refill or OEM). Overall, I am happy with the printer for the price i paid. If you print a lot and have no space constraints, get a laser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loud/Poor Quality of Print On the instructions it says 20 minute easy set up, it took over two hours. Finally had to ask an IT person and he just laughed and said Canon is always the hardest to set up. The machine is much slower than I anticipated, the quality of print is terrible, and it is so noise. Just not satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Laptop Won't Let Me Download I like the printer but I have yet to print anything.I have an older model Dell laptop and it won't accept the canon software. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer I bought this printer right before everything got shut down because of the pandemic and it's worked fine for me. It does take a little white to print but it prints okay. I don't like how if I have multiple pages the ink is really see through on both sides and it smears when I have to highlight. I haven't tried the scanner or FAX yet. To set up all you have to do it follow the video either online or watch the CD they give. It's not hard at all. If you think it's too hard you might just be really impatient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from canon 4520 series is a nightmare I bought this printer in Dec./2019 and still cannot get it to print as it should. Have aligned printer head and wasted countless ink experimenting with diffierent tests, none of which have helped. This has been the worse printer I have ever owned and will never buy a canon again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waste of My Money and Time This is the worst printer. I bought a cheap printer to print out things here and there for our farm business. This printer had problems from the start. It constantly thinks it's jammed. It can't pick up a piece of paper from the stack to save its life. It takes me forever to print anything. The extendable tongue where printed pages come out broke instantly. The multi-piece chute where you place fresh paper also broke within weeks. We constantly had issues with the printer's wireless communication with our phones or laptop. Causing us to have to re-download the setup program, which takes over 30 minutes (! almost every time we wanted to print. This is a poorly made printer all around. Do not waste your time or money on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy OMG I freaking love this printer I have three Canon printers now the second one I bought broke on me so I have the first one I bought and this one (the third one)they both work pretty good but doing double sided printing with this one is like a breeze it doesn't automatically almost and my other two were manual double-sided copy so I am so in love with this printer currently I haven't did any photos on it yet but that is soon to come I will update my review if my opinion changes after I do a photo but I highly doubt it will

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New TR4520 I am not sure why I cannot connect with the internet. I have had tech work on this challenge and we have a temporary solution that I toggle on and offline between my computer and printer. It seems to not feed more than a few sheets of paper (for scanning at a time. More than 3 or 4 and it jams or makes crooked copies. It seems the ink runs out even more quickly than other printers. Quality of print is good. And it's small, light-weight. And the same excellent support from the tech team! For the price, it is ok

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An old man is happy with his purchase. Set up and initial printing has gone fine. For the price and the quality it is a great purchase. Only issues thus far are keeping the printer online and being able to read the screen on the printer. The printer comes with an auto shut off. I found how to turn this off but it is still limited to 240 minutes of online time. The other issue is being able to read the small screen. I have to use the "flashlight" on my cell phone to read the screen. I wish it was illuminated. I am 75 and it is hard for an old man to see the small non-illuminated print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pile of poo almost from the start i had problems with this printer. I t had paper jams. And getting it unjammed was a nightmare. You would have to realign the print heads. It just kept on jamming more and more. and each time it was a nightmare to unjam it. no way can you just grab the paper from the out feed upper side. and the below access area to pull the jam paper out was not much better. you had to pull it reverse way in that messed it up all the time. it was always realign it over and over, and it would just jam more and more. finally not even owning this pile of poo for 6 months, it just jammed every single time. and the paper was so jammed so far in that you no longer can remove the jammed paper and it stopped working. I have had 4 printers from canon in less then 2 years, 2 were the same model and both of them just stopped working giving a error code. the first as well. this pile would never stop jamming. do not by canon its all trash

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Decent Printer It was on sale for $50 at Best Buy. Set up was a breeze with the cd rom. I followed all instructions and it proceeded to install everything correctly and easily with my WiFi home network. I installed it easily on two iPhones and it printed right away correctly. At first a message pops up that it cant find printer, but then waited another few seconds and it found it. I followed the easy instructions to align the print heads and it was a snap. Yes, it prints slow but not too bad, especially on Draft mode, which is plenty good for about 80% of our family needs. I can't comment on the ink usage, but I ordered XL cartridges online right away. I'm sure the starter cartridges won't last too long. Overall, I am satisfied. We print about 50 or so pages a month and this printer should do just fine. My previous printer was a Canon all-in-one also and it lasted 9 years, so I decided to get another Canon. This one was way easier to set up than the older model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TR4520 Pixma Printer Every time I try to scan a document it does not work, so very annoying. Additionally when you call for technical support 6/22/2020 you find out that unless you have registered your products you cannot get technical support. Catch 22 - they have a new registration process recently so of course cannot find my registration even though I have been able to call for technical support in the past. This is it. I'm done with Canon. So frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer uses to much ink ( TR4520 I bought this printer in April 2020 from Amazon. I have had to replace the ink cartridges twice since and I have printed less that a ream of paper. Canon makes a fine product but this is not one of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two TR4520s, both broken This printer sucks. The little rollers that help to feed printing paper through the printer while printing are incredibly fragile. If you load in any more than ~15 sheets of paper into the tray for retrieval, while the printer is printing, it always ends up catching too many at once causing a paper jam. If this happens too often, the rollers that help to feed paper through the printer while printing break. This happened to my first printer. I called canon and got a replacement, and shortly after, the SAME THING happened to the other one. I've given up on this heap of junk, I strongly recommend avoiding. The price point made it appealing, but you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fatal paper jams. Just had another fatal paper jam on my third TR 4520 machine after less than 100 sheets of paper used. With this machine, a paper jam cannot be fixed and means the end of the machine as it did with the two previous machines. You need to design a machine where you can easily get to the paper to extract it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEWARE OF THE LIMITATIONS I bought this printer specifically to print duplex greeting cards on Avery 3266 paper, which is 88 lb. The printer continually jams when trying to auto duplex anything heavier than normal printer paper. Nowhere on Best Buy or Canon websites is that restriction mentioned. The downloadable user manual is 720 pages; the paper restrictions are buried on page 222. Other media inputs are also restricted. Moreover, Best Buy (after a chat session, two calls to customer service and one cutoff will do nothing but quote to me the 15-day return period. Returning to Staples and Epson for my next purchase!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Cons than Pros It is VERY slow, does not have any local storage device, eats a ton of ink, and the display screen is very confusing. I had an HP OfficeJet Pro 6830, and it worked flawlessly for 9 years!! Most importantly, I would have to change the cartridge maybe only every 6 months. And the TR4520...the first cartridge ran for only 3 weeks. I bought an XL cartridge 3 days ago, and it is already showing low ink, even though I print no more than 10 pages per week.

That means, it takes at least 10 minutes to turn on the printer every single time you use it. If you can tolerate that delay (which typing in a wi-fi password on a number pad, re-installing all the software, or walking to the router to use WPS then it prints. maybe. The ink is very expensive, but what is worse is you can't print even a 500 sheet ream of paper in black normal written type without running out of ink. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sorry I bought this I wish I had not bought this. The black printing is satisfactory. The colour printing looks faded. It seems to drink ink. Yet the worst feature is the scanner. If I want to scan something document size it stores it as a .pdf. I need to send scanned documents to companies as .jpg, but this scanner will not let me. I have read all the documentation, tried all the settings. No joy. If I say it is a photo it will make a .jpg, but then it will only scan a 8x8 area. I have to use some other means of scanning the 8x11 documents I need to send. Next time I get a printer I am going to read all the manuals before buying. Even though I only bought this 6 months ago, I feel like junking it and buying something worthwhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive and Slow Canon has great US based support, but as a Canon user for over 20 years I am disappointed in Canon's latest products. For 6 years I had a Canon Pixma 922, It was a great machine- a real work horse that was cost effective. When the 922 wore out, I bought a MB 2720, a huge mistake! The original 2720 machine and the replacement each broke down within 8 months. So I bought the TR 4520 thinking it would be more reliable. The 4520 is soooo sloooooow you can fix breakfast and 4 hours later have lunch and still not have a scan or print job finished. Be sure to compare ink prices for a 4520 Black & Color cartridge. The 922 ink was less than half that amount. Now you can't buy a Canon printer that has any speed and that has reasonably priced ink. I suggest you do a thorough evaluation before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent AIO I received this AIO for free to test and review. It was a bit difficult to get set up wirelessly. Once set up it was easy to use. I would like it a lot more if it has a color screen with back lighting so that you can see what it displays easily. Several times I had to use a flashlight. The duplex printing is nice. Wireless printing feature was as easy and simple as the set up process. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs simple improvements Bought this printer a month ago to replace an Epson WF-4630 which failed after 16 months. I can't give this printer 4 or 5 stars just because it prints because that is expected. Overall, it is a small footprint, functional device. There are some pain points which I saw in other reviews which could be solved. First, is that this printer goes to sleep and sending a job to it doesn't wake it up. Thus I need to get up and walk to the printer and push a button to print. I often print stuff from my laptop or phone from somewhere else in the house. Next, very unnerving was the fact that the printer would not make a basic quick copy because it said the item I wanted to copy was a different size than the paper that was in the tray. I got very stressed for 15 mins going through the menus. Turned out I had 8x10 in one setting and 8x11 in the other. I actually had to go online, read the manual and find an option to disable this check which solved the problem. This should be off by default. Next is that you need to install an app on your phone in order to print - never had to do that prior. Next is there is no option on the printer to set up the wireless password - need to do this through a computer - thus do not buy this printer if you don't have a computer. Next is the menus are very tedious. Not intuitive. Takes a long time to get to what you want and some menus you can't exit from by pushing the menu button. I've walked away from it several times frustrated. Next is that the screen often says "wait" while it does something. Not sure why? Next is the display always says copy - there are buttons for copy, scan and fax but no button for print - so it always looks like it is in copy mode. Next, it now has a message on the screen "firmware is on the server" - press OK. So, I press OK. It does nothing - why isn't it asking to download and install it? Guess it's back to the required PC and the manual to figure that out. Lastly it's louder than expected. Don't try to print a birthday card late at night for your partner. I am a very technical friendly person so I feel these pain points would apply to all. It is a good printer, is inexpensive, has a small footprint, is multi-function but can be stellar with menu improvements and software changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent WIFI printer for home use I was considering a new home printer purchase, and i serendipitously received an e-mail from a survey company that I could have a new printer delivered to me for review purposes, so I jumped at the opportunity. A few weeks later, I found a Canon PIXMA TR4520 on my front porch and on the following weekend I had the time to set it up and run it though its' paces. I have a number of devices in my home, laptops, chromebooks, tablets, and smartphones, and it had been a problem to use my old and rather outdated printer with many of those devices. I was hoping this new printer would solve that issue, and the answer is a resounding YES! Upon opening, I found the printer packed smartly and fully intact with no damage, So far so good. The instructions for setup were easy to use, giving one options to either download the operating programs from the internet or to install with the supplied disc. The smartphones were set up with ease via the App Store. It's a smaller sized printer that's black in color, so it's unobtrusive and can be put nearly anywhere one has an electrical outlet. The paper tray is at the front bottom of the device, which saves space for me compared to my old one. The tray holds about 3/4's of an inch of paper, which seems reasonable to me for a home printer. Copies are delivered neatly back out on top of the paper tray. Print quality is very good, and colors look vivid. In all, I now have 5 devices hooked up via my home wifi, and they work anywhere in the house. I knew of Canon copiers from office environments, but didn't know much about their in home units. It seems to be well made and has been functioning flawlessly for me so far right out of the box. I would highly recommend this printer for nearly anyone's normal home use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So frustratingly disappointing that I gave it away Where do I begin? The paper tray was so sensitive that I could almost never get the machine to accept that I'd loaded any. The ink cartridges ran out after about 10 pages of b/w and 2 postcard-sized color photos. I'm careful and experienced – I've been working with printers for 25 years – but when I changed the cartridges, they leaked all over me. And I literally couldn't use the scanner because the software took up too much memory for my laptop. I've never been so disappointed with any purchase, but am happy to report that I'm now thrilled with the nice cheap straightforward HP ENVY Photo one I bought to replace it – despite having previously been loyal to Canon for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this printer to replace my prior all in one printer from Canon. My prior printer lasted almost ten years. I have had this printer since January and it already has major issues. It will often refuse to recognize paper that is loaded in the tray. When it does recognize the paper in the tray, it will often get jammed in the back. I have to feed the paper sheet by sheet, which is a complete and colossal waste of time. I hate this printer and am so disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good for those not needing high capacity First, I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review. Now for the review. Unboxing and assembly was similar to other printer/scanners I have owned, mostly HP but other brands too. It was then really easy to set up wireless and that made it really easy for everyone in the family to share the printer. Probably my favorite feature of this printer is the small footprint for a multi-function device. Most of the others that I have used are much larger. Of course, there is a downside to that too. The unit does have less space for paper, both for printing and for feeding through the automatic document feeder for scanning. But, now that I'm doing smaller jobs anyway, it's a good trade for me. The one thing that I would like to see improved is the relative tightness (for lack of a better word) - it seemed as if some of the parts did not fit together as tightly as other printers - but then the printers I have in mind are considerably larger and much more expensive. Again, a tradeoff I'd be willing to make for the smaller size and ease of operation. Overall, my sense is that this is a good printer/scanner for anyone who does not need the capacity of a larger and more expensive device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I bought this printer a couple of months ago. At first it worked great and I loved it then three weeks ago it started acting up paper jam after paper jam and constantly telling me to load paper when there is paper already loaded. Everything is made of plastic what a piece of garbage!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful pictures I received this project for free but, it came in great timing! I was honestly getting rid of my old canon printer because I wanted one with a better scanner and WiFi connection; this printer came at the right time! It is beneficial and works well. This printer is very compact and does not take up too much space, which is great for a small apartment or going away to college. Setting up the printer was relatively easy and the best part is that it stayed connected to the WiFi. My precious printer somehow always ended up off of the WiFi. The prints that came out were very clear as well; pictures print great as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful printer! This is an excellent printer. I absolutely loved how robust and study the construction of the printer itself was. I also like the wireless printing aspect of it and it was so smooth and easy and convenient to print sheets right from the touch of my phone. The app works wonderfully and overall this printer is highly recommended. I was also amazed at how sleek and stylish the printer looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and Versatile! Great compact printer! I received a sample of this Canon PIXMA TR4500 series printer to try out. Setup was easy and uncomplicated but not completely intuitive. I usually try to wing it, but found I did need to refer to the written instructions in order to properly install the ink cartridges, download the necessary software and connect the printer to my wireless network. The printer was “peppy” and connectivity was consistently excellent. Worked well printing wirelessly both from my iMac and iPhone. I found it a little annoying that the default was set to double-sided printing, but that’s just my personal preference. Printing was fast and great quality. The scanner function worked perfectly. Small size was a huge benefit as I am limited on desk space. Overall recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features I received this product for free in exchange for a product review and overall this printer is a pretty good home device. Assembling the device was fairy easily as it had orange stickers where it showed things needed to be done. I did pull the manual out once for this but it was not difficult to assemble and the manual was well wrote out so it was easy to follow. I like that it has the ability to print directly from a smartphone and it is very instant. I also like that you are able to print pictures on picture paper. Very convenient and makes less hassle of going somewhere to print out pictures. The pictures printed out very well and very clear with the glossy paper that was included. It is a little slow printing pictures on picture paper as well as slow making prints on 2 sides. So that could be an improvement area. Also some pieces such as the paper tray pull out and holder were a bit flimsy and I thought I was going to break it at one point just by pulling it out but it is holding up quite well. Another improvement would be when you turn it on it requires just 1 click of the power button but turning it off doesn’t work the same; you have to hold in the power button for a minute before it clicks off. But other than those minor things it works pretty well and does what I need it to do, with printing basic things out. I am using it in my home office and printing out basic things such as forms that I need signed or even some work material as well as printing pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon does it again The Canon Pixma TR4520 witeless printer I received as a sample to review was very easy to setup to my router and also the printer itself was also easy to set up. This printer is the best I have ever owned. You can scan, copy, print and even fax. The printer is just the right size for my desk as it does not take up alot of space. I was surprised on how crisp the color comes out on the pages I print. It prints at a great speed. I have owned Canon printers in the past but this is simply the best one I own now. With the added convenience of being able to print, scan, copy and fax all in one machine is a total game changer for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ugh, what a mistake. It said on the ad that it was white, so I was willing to pay more for it than a black or grey printe. Unfortunately when I received it, I noticed immediately that it is a wierd ivory color, kind of like IBM computers from the 70s. The cartridges run out so fast. Faster than any printer I have ever had in my life. I also cannot get the feeder to work. I really regret this purchase and will have to try to sell it and buy something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied I received a free Canon Pixma TR4520 series wireless printer, scanner, copier and fax machine to review and here is my opinion on it. I will begin with my cons about the product. The first thing I noticed is the quality of it was not very good. It was cheaply made and the plastic could be easily broken. The scanner lid was very loose. Also, after it was set up, there were no clear operational directions which could be a problem with someone whose not familiar with printers. The pros of this product was the simplicity of using it. The wireless capability of it simplifies things exponentially and the compact size also is a big plus. Overall, I would give it 3 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great home office printer I received a free sample of this product and I like it a great deal. The print quality is very good, clear with great color distinction. While I haven't used the scan, copy or fax features yet I am excited to have those tools at my disposal. The only drawbacks to the product, and why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, is the wireless connection took longer to establish than I thought it should. I had to go through a couple of alternate methods before it connected. Also, when i initiate a print job, it is slightly slower than my previous printer to begin the job. Once the print job begins, however, the speed is on par with my previous printers. I have this set up in my home office and would highly recommend it to anyone with multi function home office needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Print / Mediocre Features I received a free sample of the Canon Pixma TR4520 Black Wireless printer and my review is that while I found the print quality very good it does have some limitations. It couldn't log on to the network and when it finally tried the interface to allow the password didn't work, couldn't figure it out. We have it connected via a USB cable. Also, I find that the amount of paper it holds to be inadequate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't work for Mac OS Mojave 10.14 I spent 3 hours trying to get this printer up and running! Got my iphone connected wirelessly in no time, but finally found out that Canon doesn't have the printer driver for my operating system, which is very disappointing...why can't Canon keep up with the updated systems like HP, Brother, and Epson? After registering it, I made the mistake of deleting my old MX870, which still prints only the scanner no longer works...got a refund and will continue to use the MX870, but very frustrating!

Not only is it hard to connect wireless and used up a lot of my time trying to get it set up,(which did not work even being assisted by a rep. from Canon the keys pad is very inconsistent in getting the information for the print commands. It is the worst printer I have ever purchased

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good light-use all-in-one... I received this unit free and agreed to provide an honest review of the product. Set-up was fairly easy. However, keep in mind you will need your own USB printer cable as it is not included. The cartridges are easy to install and you should be printing in no time. I print a lot and the quality is on par with other inkjet printers. I will say it tends to use ink fast. I would suggest an XL cartridge at the first replacement. The top feed function for copying works well and the overall copy quality is good. The unit has other functions such as faxing, scanning and duplex printing. The only drawbacks of this all-in-one is the print speed and ink use. Great multi-function unit for light use and economy printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic performance I received this printer for free in exchange for an honest review. This printer is such a step up from my prior printer! The Canon PIXMA TR4520 is so fast! Set up was so easy and the hardest part was needing to sign into Administrator mode on my laptop. Really, it is virtually ready to go out of the box. The compact size fits perfectly adjacent to my laptop and the wireless printing feature is such a time and space saver. No more cord connecting the two devices to trip over, disconnect when I move my laptop, etc. The printing is so fast, too. I have printed both color and B&W documents and they come out crisp and clear. I am so thrilled with this multi-function printer. My old printer was very temperamental and would only process one sheet at a time so I needed to help my children when they needed to print a document. Not now! The Canon PIXMA is so intuitive and simple to use. I am grateful to Canon for allowing me to try this out in my home.

The set up was super easy and the instructions clear and simple. Nice design, compact, which I appreciate in my tiny studio apartment. Not loud. And wireless! I guess it would be these day but I haven’t had that before. I use this waaaay more than I expected. No more trips to Fed Ex for my print outs or scans. I am a happy happy camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value, Very Good Printer & Scanner I bought this All-In-One unit about a week ago. So far, we're very happy with this purchase. It was relatively easy to set up, including connecting it to our wired home network and my wi-fi connected smartphone. I found the automatic document feeding to be reliable up to about 8 pages. Scanning quality is very good and so far no manual setting adjustments to images have been necessary! One of my favorite feaures is duplex printing. I have not tried the fax feature yet. I was pleasantly surprised that this unit is capable of faxing in color and high speed transmission/reception. Overall, we're very pleased with this unit and hope that it is reliable for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a nightmare! I have had this PIXMA TR4522 for a few years. I bought it because of the price, on sale. It's the print, scan, copy & fax machine from hell! Set up & functioning is much to be desired. the only reason I haven't taken a hammer to it, is $$$ replacement! I bought this because my Kodak Hero died. It was the Best. i regret this purchase and often end up at the library to fax. Now due to a move , i have to set it up again! i dread it. Very disappointed, i bought it because $ cheap & name recognition. You get what you paid for. Hopefully it will be easier this time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not enough room for paper, difficult to use. If you can afford something better, buy it. I used to have a fairly basic hp model printer with no auto feed, so I replaced it with this, as an improvement. I figured out how junky it was, after it was too late to return. There is hardly any room for paper, the warrantee socks, and it stopped printing. I don't know why. When it was working, it was complicated to use, and the little window is barely visable. I would go back to hp in a second.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hopelessly flawed printer out-bested my tech skills I bought this machine after my beloved, low tech mg 2920 said the ink absorber was full and warned me that it would not be with me much longer. The TR 4520 printed for a few weeks, then I had a message that I had unplugged the machine in the wrong order. It consistently fails to print, fails to connect with USB, even fails to make a regular copy. I have deleted the printer and re-added it. I've tried to re-download driver updates. I've spoken softly, begging it to print my documents. No success. I am the type of person people ask to help fix THEIR printers and I usually can tinker around to get them to work. I am ready to call it a surrender. I despise this TR 4520.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible printer This printer is LOUD, takes forever to catch the paper so constantly clicking, and was never able to hook up wirelessly to any device except our phones. We spent hours trying to make it happen - this should not warrant a call to customer support in the year 2021 when we all know how to connect wirelessly. Now, after 2 years of very light use, it will not print anything, is throwing a code and saying it requires servicing. NOT worth the price whatsoever.

It could already see it, took 30 seconds, printed fine. Close image of a flower printed very acceptably! Scan is cutting off the corners, I had to center a smaller paper in the middle of the tray to get it on. May prove problematic in the future. I just wanted to put it out here that a 2008 OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan worked easily out of the box in 5 minutes!

Since we've replaced and had to continue to replace every couple of weeks. We are very light users of this printer (5 pages per week MAX!) I got this printer as a Christmas gift last year, as the one I previously had before this one was old and didn't always work properly. This printer is okay. Straightforward setup process, just make sure you and your printer are connected to the same WIFI connection. My only complaints are that the quality of the print jobs aren't always that great (can look blurry at times but it is a low end printer so it's expected and while operating, this printer is EXTREMELY LOUD! My whole house can hear me printing. Even in quiet mode it's still pretty loud. Just a fair warning to those looking to get this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Average printer, decent price, challenging setup I really wanted an easy to install printer with the wireless and wired connection option. I tried the usb hookup directly to my computer and it would do everything except print. After reading lots of complaints about set up difficulties, I decided to install it wirelessly and it worked. Not sure why a wired connection is so challenging but I'm definitely not the only one with that problem. After wasting a couple hours, I gave up and just went wireless and it's working fine. The starter ink doesn't last long so don't count on more than 20 pages to be printed.

I can't believe that Canon could stand by this product. reach out to me, make this better and I'll gladly update my review but OMG guys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Printer Needs To Be Discontinued This printer is slow and finding ink cartridges is virtually impossible. Then, when I did find the cartridges, they did not work - even though I purchased the recommended cartridges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Printer Copier. Scanner? Not so much. Needed to replace two old printers - HP OfficeJet, LaserJet. Prints nicely. Good quality. Was surprised that it printed both sides! Haven't been able to get the scanner to work with the Windows PC yet, though. Error code is 5,156,69. No one seems to have an answer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Printer I have been using printers, laser and ink, for, at least, 30 years. And this is, by far, the worst printer I have ever had. Paper never fed straight and now it just wads itself up. I won't pay to have this carp looked at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not recommend it Bought this printer back in July and now doesn't want to work, print out of focus, lines don't aling and if you try to align gives you error 5100 even when there is nothing affecting it. Very disappointing that the life of the printer is less than 6 months

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reasonable price, and is working great so far! So far- working great! The initial ink cartridges are small - so I recommend getting a back up set to start. Nice quality on docs. Images also printed pretty well. Have not tried photos yet. Would recommend for a reasonably priced printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible I’ve purchased two of these in the past year and all I can say is terrible. This is the worst printer I have ever purchased. Parts break on it within months and there’s no way to fix them then to just buy a new printer. Do not recommend this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fully functional printer for the family at home This printer and be connected with WiFi from the start which is nice. It serves all the functions specified. However the quality of scanner is not as clean and background is not true white - this could be improved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always jammed, cleaning rollers doesn't work. I have never had this many issues with a printer in my life. It seems to have a problem taking orders from my phone to print (all printing requires the app and it is hell to connect to computers wirelessly. My phone is always telling me the printer is not available when it is right next to it, and the paper is always having issues. When printing in black and white, it requires color ink, because for some reason black is made of mostly purple ink. I have had this printer for about a year but didn't think i would need a warrantee because I bought it brand new, and I am in college and do not have the money. What a waste of time and money in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer for the price It's still very new and I have not put it to good use, but from the 5 pages I printed, I'm very happy. As far as other reviews goes for speed, I didn't think it was slow at all if you're just printing documents. Photos on the other hand is different, but that's with any printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hasn’t worked since I bought it brand new. Ink was low I’ve bought it a few months ago and tried to use it for the first time and said I was low in ink!! I have been trying to purchase ink replacements but have not been able to locate any not even through canon! They are out of stock. So what am I supposed to do?? I’m so frustrated

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer I've ever owned I bought this for very light work when we went remote in April. Since then, I print 1 page per week and have attempted twice to print a multi-page document. The rollers do not pick up paper. So that 1 page per week is about a 15 minute mission to feed a piece of paper into it. It's the worst part of my week. Working at home, kids doing online remote learning, a crappy printer is the LAST thing you want to worry about. The multi page documents (10-18 pages) take at least 45 minutes of taking paper out, reloading, pulling out paper is every third page, and getting printer code errors. I had a printer I got free with an HP purchase in the early 2000's that I trust more than this. Be warned, DO NOT BUY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon Pixma TR4520 ink jet printer Easy setup - I didn’t even need to ask my techie son for help! Not fancy, but does everything I need for a really reasonable price. My favorite feature is the duplex printing without having to go and turn the paper over. Do yourself a favor and order extra ink when you purchase this printer, as the ink cartridges that came with it ran out fairly quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the Price We bought this printer about 9 months ago. It has worked perfectly. It is not a high speed printer. We use it for home printing, forms, copies of bills etc, It was very inexpensive, so our expectations were with that in mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the worst printer I have ever had! I bought this in July of 2019. I bought an extended 4-year warranty. I was so surprised at how slow this printer is. Within two months it completely stopped working. The store that I bought it from, accepted the return and sent me the same new printer to replace it. Within three weeks of using the replacement, that replacement stopped working. I am so disgusted with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Printer! I purchased the Pixma TR 4520 3 weeks ago. I am ready to throw it into the trash!! The wireless set up took hours!! Copying a regular black & white typed/printed document is VERY VERY slow!! This printer is painfully slow!! More disappointing is the lack of Canon support!! The auto system cannot understand me when I enter the model of the printer. I cannot get to a live person without registering my printer. I registered it but it will not accept my registration without purchasing a support plan. Purchase a support plan for a brand new product?? I will not!! I had other printers from Canon specifically Pixma 479 Was great!! Until the last update on my Mac Pro. Then I could not scan documents..... Canon is not what they used to be!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer TR4520 Sucks Bought this printer in Aug.to take on the road Took forever to get the wireless to work. Tried to plug a cable in to use instead of wireless--And that did not work. Have now tried to use it again after coming back from a business trip. Have spent 4 bloody days trying to get it to work. Wireless will not work. Cable will not work. Have reloaded the CD program 6 times.. It work for printing 3 card sheets and quit. I bought this from Staples. Bought the Ins--tried to get them to do something and that did not work--they said they do not pay for working on my problem. (So much for insurance Staples will not take it back or help fix the problem. (WILL NEVER BUY FROM STAPLES AGAIN) They said tough luck (sort of) call the Insurance people. It would appear I am screwed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some of these reviews... So, after reading all these reviews from not being able to connect to WiFi to Cannons customer service being not too helpful, I almost didn't buy this printer! In all fairness, the printer was on clearance at Wal-Mart and it came with a rebate. So I figured for free, what have I got to lose? Coming from a HP printer, could Cannon really measure up? YES! I have had absolutely not 1 problem or issue. Set up took less than 2 minutes from unboxing to printing a page from my android phone. I love the clarity of the document print and the crispness of the pictures. All around, GREAT printer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far - Great I bout this printer at Sam's Club and gave to my Girlfriend for Christmas. I was very impressed that the printer automatically connected itself to her wireless network. Equally impressed that the printer software for Windows 10 automatically configured her laptop to connect to the printer. The install went flawlessly. Funny thing is that when I bought the printer I didn't read the box thoroughly enough to see that it is a wireless printer. So I was expecting to find a USB cable in the box. 1 star of for no USB cable in the box. But over all very pleasantly surprised and happy with the printer. And most importantly, my GF loves it - Score !!!
