Canon PIXMA G3260 MegaTank - multifunction printer - color - with Canon Ins is rated 2.70 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK, but has issues. Its prints ok most of the time, but when doing large batches it almost always gets a head clogged. The odd thing is, If I let it sit, it fixes itself somehow. So I just always have to print things in small batches and wait inbetween.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THE INK TANKS However I agree with some of the other reviews regarding the wi-fi problems. I turn on the printer and send a page to print and get "Looking for printer". Sometimes it connects fairly quick other times it doesn't connect at all. I turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds turn it on and it prints right away. Then I print 5 or 6 pages and it then goes back to looking for printer. I had another Canon printer a couple of years ago and had the same problem. I also have an Epson ink tank printer and have no problem with wi-fi connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Print quality is great but wireless printing needs improvement Print quality is great. I haven’t been able to get AirPrint to work from my phone no matter what I try. The WiFi printing is also sporadic and doesn’t work most of the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pictures look great! Bought this to replace Pixma 3200 which kept getting ink clogged up. The addition of gray and red inks really make photographs look great on the Photo Glossy II paper

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does not work I spent HOURS trying to get the paper to feed on this brand new printer. Simple, right? NOPE. I downloaded the manual & followed their instructions again & again. (Do they realize how hard it is to work on the back roller?) Didn't work. Didn't work. Didn't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MegaTank feature is a plus I only gave this printer 4 stars because the wireless setup utility did not connect the printer to my network automatically. It took a couple of painstaking hours to learn find the solution. I had to use a flashlight to enter my password manually in the tiny Led window to finally get the printer to connect to my home network. My old printer PIXMA TS9120 had a much larger Led display and was much easier to setup the wireless interface. Too bad it quit on me after 3 years. This unit cost a lot more but no thought went into making it more user friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great so far for photos I use this for printing photos. I also have a Pro 100, but I hope to have a more economical printer when I don't need the utmost in quality. I have not had it for long, so I can't comment on reliability or actual number of pages of print per tank. However, the output is beautiful, and the printer is easy to setup and use. It connects via WiFi reliably. The only problem I have had is that when using a thick paper, such as watercolor paper, you can only have a couple of pages in the input tray (back feed). Fortunately, it does have a back feed because this type of paper would not feed from below.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this easy to use printer! I'm almost through my yellow ink (3/4 so I've printed a lot of pages for journals. The other color inks are about half used give or take a little. The black is still pretty full. I don't know exactly how many pages I have printed but it's been more than I expected. I set the printer up with the direct wifi and it was super simple. I can print directly from my phone, computer and tablets wirelessly without a router. I don't know why people think they need to use the router as it works basically the same. The printer does everything but fax but you can do that with an app or online now. I don't even miss the feature as I've only had to send a fax once this past year. I've printed out photos and documents and both have come out great. I'm very happy that my old Epson Artisan 730 finally died and I purchased this printer. No regrets at all. Highly recommend!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful document printing I just installed this printer yesterday, so I don't yet have much experience. The test text prints are crisp and clear. My problem is with online setup instructions. After some physical instructions, you are directed to go online to finish. You select the printer software by selecting the letter (G first. You are then given groupings of numbers to select from. In the first group, 3000 series is offered. I have no experience with Canon products, so I select this. WRONG! I tried multiple times to get this to work. I thought the printer was defective. Finally, after starting from scratch many times, and spending a lot of time, I started again. This time, I scrolled past the first group of "G" printers and found another group of "G" printers. Now, 3200 series is offered. I tried that. WRONG, AGAIN!!! Again, many tries, more frustration, more time. Unwilling to give up, I went back to the beginning and looked further . I finally found the correct series to select for installation, 3060! I finished installation in about 15 minutes. I wasted about three hours using the wrong software trying to install the printer. I am unfamiliar with Canon's numbering system. The selection process for getting the correct software is user-unfriendly. Had I been given the option to enter all four digits of the model number, I would have saved almost three hours of frustration. The selection process programming needs a review so a consumer is able to select the correct software to download on the first try. I took one star off for the poor selection of software process. I am hoping to get many years of service from my brand, spanking new printer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CRAP ABSOLUTELY A PIECE OF GARBAGE. WIFI CONNECTIVITY SHOULD BE PLUG AND PLAY, NOT A FOUR-HOUR STRESS EVENT. WHAT A LET DOWN.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer. I took me 10 minutes to do the whole process. If you want to connect to Wi-Fi faster please use the WPS option. Just press a button on your router and done takes 20 seconds to connect. I do not know what people are talking about wi-fi connecting issues. Then go to Control Panel and add the printer it will install your drivers. Done. I love how it prints. Let's see about how long it lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable, Good Quality Printing, Serviceable I bought this printer after considering the various ink-tank printers available. This model was more affordable than most others for its feature set. But, the printing has good quality. I've printed a couple photos (with glossy photo paper and the right printing settings), and I'm happy with how they've turned out for my at-home needs. I don't expect this to replace a professional photo-printing service, but the colors were pretty accurate; they weren't too warm, too cold, or too skewed to one specific color. I like the fact that this printer has a replaceable maintenance cartridge (my last few ink-tank printers were turned into bricks after only a few years when the ink pads/waste ink tank filled up, and the cost to service the printer/replace the parts were prohibitively expensive). Also, printing in "draft" settings for everyday needs costs far less than the electricity, toner, and imaging drums that go into my laser printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer This is a nice little printer. It was easy to set up, it prints great quality photos and pictures, and it barely uses ink. I definitely recommend this printer to someone looking for a great printer that isn't too expensive and who is tired of buying those expensive little cartridges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No after sales service My hopes on having a long lasting printer with refillable tanks were dashed when the red ink nozzles quit working after less than two years. A call to Canon support revealed that there was no recourse but to buy a new printer which they offered at some discount. Seriously? Unless the printer is used weekly, it will block the nozzles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE PRINTER Worst purchase I have ever made! Pain to use! cant even get the thing to scan. does not stay available on wifi. I want my Money back! but we all know how that would go! Best printer I had was a Dell, and they are not even a printer company.. This is terrible, and now I am stuck with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Product Canon has a real problem with their machines. This one prints beautifully - as long as you don't mind it being "offline" every time you need to use it. If you have time to re-install the software every time you need it, that might work. I had another Canon that did the same thing. It's terrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but misled by Canon about features The printer has been fine but the Canon people who sold it to me never mentioned that it does not have automatic two sided printing. One has to place the sheet back upside down to do that. And they knew that the prior printing had that feature. As a result, I bought a printer that cannot do that automatically which is an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I have had the printer for about a month. I read the reviews and have come to the conclusion that the bad reviews are from people who do NOT know what they are doing. YES, the Wi-Fi setup is a nightmare. Other than that the printer works flawlessly. I Use PaperPort Software for Scanning and absolutely no issues. Wi-Fi no issues. I like the auto power on, and the power off (deignated time). I am an expert tech. and I have found that the average so called experienced user really does NOT understand technology and need a pro to show them what to do. I highly recommen this printer. The print quality and speed are great, and the scanner works without any issues. I have found that people who give 1 or 2 star ratings in 90% or more of the cases are the issue, not the device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paper feed is terrible! I bought this printer less than a year ago. The scanner is clunky in terms of accessing your scanned documents, but it works fine for that. The print function is horrible. In the first week I had to buy special paper to clean the rollers in order to get the paper to catch and run through the machine. I have to use the cleaner paper almost every time I want to print. I can sometimes push the paper hard enough that the rollers catch, but not always. Plus, if I'm on the couch and trying to print I have to get up and babysit the paper feed. It's so annoying. Once it prints the copies are fine, but the process is not good. I regret that I bought this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roberto Camacho the worse printer and scanner to connect to a MAC. When you finally connect, and the next day is again disconnected. The trouble shooting is not worth a penny of this product. Do not buy it if you reading this and have a MAC. Specially the new MAC because the connecting cable is not compatible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought and returned Love the mega tank concept but this printer was not a good fit for me. 1. description was not clear that it only uses a rear paper feed and this increases the height requirements. 2. I wanted to activate the auto shut off, which is theoretically possible, but the small screen (another disadvantage) and cumbersome navigation of the menu made this impossible. I'm looking at a G6020 for front paper tray solution but it appears to have the same small screen (not viewable from the front) and same menu problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't Conect to iPhone I bought this last week, set it up today. All's well until I try to connect to my iPhone. As soon as I click on the network name, it turns off WiFi and it won't connect without it. Tried to call, got stuck in a loop, can't get to a human. Not happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Pixma G3260; the most frustrating machine I have ever owned It worked perfectly! For a few hours, anyway. I’ve been trying to use this printer for almost two years. After it initially printed dozens of beautiful photographs, it simply stopped printing black ink. Eventually, after a year or so, it began to print correctly again, yay! Now it has run out of black ink. All of the other colors remain pretty much at the top level of the tanks. So I’ve been trying to fill the black tank for a couple of months. No dice. The ink simply will not go into the tank. I have decades of experience with computers and printers. This is a baaaaad machine. It may simply be a lemon, but do yourself a favor and pass on this!
