Great Device and Software
The device does exactly what you'd want it to do and functions reliably. Most surprising was the software that automatically determines single or double-sided pages as well as orientation so that the resulting file requires no manual interaction. Software is user friendly, simple and straight forward. Scanner processes pages very quickly. Definitely recommend this device

Experience with Canon DR-M1060
(1 The scanner works fine and scans fast.
(2) When scanning a large document, say 100+ pages, something inside makes "grinding" noises. I expect something is overheating. Leaving the scanner idle for a while resolves the problem.
(3) The plastic housing seems a bit flimsy.
(4) Moving from a Canon DR-5080C.

Incorrect website description
The Canon website clearly says that Mac is supported for the imageFORMULA DR-M1060 but the included CD and the Canon website do not offer a driver. I can't review it beyond that as it turns out it is not compatible with my computer.
