Immense power. A remarkable combination of phenomenal speed and refinement. The EOS-1D X Mark II camera is nothing but legendary every step of the way. The EOS-1D X Mark II is blazingly fast. It is ready to deliver clean, sharp images quickly, even in dim light. This remarkable speed means faster recording too. Combined with superb low-light performance thanks to its powerful sensor and expandable ISO range, the EOS-1D X Mark II performs brilliantly, swiftly and stunningly no matter when or where the photographer is shooting. From the stadium, safari or studio to virtually everywhere in between, the EOS-1D X Mark II maintains and enhances all the hallmarks of what Canon has to offer, marking another page in the legacy of the EOS series of cameras.

Canon EOS 1D X Mark II - digital camera - body only is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent camera The Canon 1DX MarkII is an upgrade for me. I use it for sports and wildlife photography. There are a lot of things on the menu that I am familiar with from my 5D Mark II. An excellent camera that works well with the Canon line of lenses I have, and I will try it with a few different options of lenses for sports.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost the best Admittedly I'm a Canon fanboy. I tried not to be but I can't deny what's best when it comes to cameras...I've owned and used most other camera brands, including video cameras, and I've come full circle. It's hard to beat the simplicity of use and the color profiling of Canon. That said, there are some things I wish (really badly) that this camera did better. I feel like as the flagship professional DSLR camera the 1D X Mark II should have: focus peaking, Canon Log color profile, built in intervalometer, built in wifi, dual Cfast card slots, audio recording in slow motion, and a more robust audio input and recording system. Most of us content creators are doing both video and still work. I currently own the 5D Mark IV, 1D X Mark II, and C200. I need all three to accomplish the variety of work my clients demand. The things I love about the camera include: Slow motion recording at 120fps (although 240 would be even better), 14-16 fps stills, super fast auto focus, easily navigable menus, buttons in all the right places, and the look and feel while in hand. I'd definitely recommend this camera, but be warned you'll need more than just this model if you're wanting the full scope of options you might otherwise get with other brands on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speed Demon My pervious camera was a 5D mark 3, which has been a great camera. I shoot a lot of action sports stuff, skiing, dogs running in water, birds flying etc. However, with the mark 3 I felt like sometimes I just got lucky to get those perfect moments where body position was just right while the action unfolded. I wanted to upgrade to the next level so I could take out the guess work and feel more confident that I could get the shot. I really wanted to hold out for the next generation of the 1DX II as the camera has been out for while but the opportunity came up so I could afford it and I'm very happy I did. The camera is extremely fast, the dynamic range is great to push the ISO to have a higher shutter speed to capture action in low light moments. There seems like when you push the iso in low light there is less digital banding and distortion then the mark 3 and the noise feels like more film grain (I think but it could be just me).On the video side the focus tracking while filming video on a Ronin is sick! Things I wish it had or changes: a built in intervalometer, built in wifi, video should have the log feature that the 5D mark 4 has (crazy it doesn't). The camera sounds like a machine gun firing off but maybe that is just how loud it has to be being so fast. But dang its a fun camera to use for action!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Prior to my EOS-1D X Mark II, I was using an EOS 6D Mark II with EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM and EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. I've been shooting primarily nature, animals, and outdoor sports -- bouldering and rope climbing -- with occasional portraits and group shots. Due to a challenging combination of low light and fast movement, I used to have many missed shots. That wasn't a problem since I take 5000 or so separate exposures per session. Now with the EOS-1D X Mark II, nearly every shot is flawless -- sharp and well-exposed -- and the only challenge is selecting the best of the best. I actually had to buy a new computer to handle the load of RAW processing. I couldn't be happier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Acceptable features Not much for the price, low pixels, expect to have WIFI. Got two and returned them. The first one, froze upon first time using it, no function was working and had to take out the battery to make it work again, it had high ISO performance. Second one, was working fine, but the ISO was not exceptional as expected, its ISO was same as cheap ones, so I returned.I expect Canon to do something toward their production line, and add more features for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best camera ever! I’ve only had this camera for a week and already my customers are raving about how awesome my photos looks. Yes, I consider myself a pro and so that has to do a lot about it but there’s a HUGE difference between my Canon 5DM2 (which has been my working camera for the past 10 years) and my 1DXM2. I’m totally enjoying this camera. The clarity is just amazing.
