Right angle power connector the ticket
Computers come with straight-in power connectors, but new Dell tower would not fit in old furniture because of extra depth required by power connector. Right angled one into the power supply solved that problem.

Exactly what we needed
Replaced original Acer Aspire One power cord from the wall to the transformer. Plugs in and works just fine. Appears to be better engineered and constructed than the original and will likely long outlast the original. Our Acer Aspire One is a tough little net-book that's flown 167K+ miles in the past year (prob close to 300K since '08), comes on vacation with us and serves as our second computer when I'm home.

If you're looking to replace a worn, frayed or broken power cord, this is the product for you! It is just as rugged and long-wearing as the original (because it is made of the exact same materials and features the exact same quality). There is one feature that the original has that this power cord happily lacks: A HIGH PRICE! Terrific value for the money, because what you're getting is the exact same cord that comes with most more expensive laptop chargers, at less than one-third the price! Highly recommended and a great value! You're cuckoo if you pay more, when you don't have to. Buy this one and you'll get the exact same product!

Much better than OEM
This power cord, simple as it may be, was not easy to find -- especially at a reasonable price. HP charges something north of $20 USD for their standard 3-foot cord, which is too short to use effectively in multiple situations. I was thrilled to see that CDW had a 6-foot cord, of heavier construction and apparently higher quality, for about one-third the price of the inferior HP cord.
I bought two -- one for home and one for the office. And I reserve the 3-footer from HP for traveling situations, where the AC outlet in the hotel room is within reach of this one.
