Speaking on Functionality
I bought this cable to connect my DP monitor to my HDMI desktop PC. Sadly, I had to return it because my desktop did not recognize the cable. Nothing appeared on my monitor screen except a "no signal from DisplayPort" message. Turns out I would need an HDMI to DP adapter and I didn't want to buy another cable so I switched back to the reliable VGA cable.

I have purchased these on more than one occasion...
Since most new monitors use HDMI ports, and our Dell port replicators only have DVI and DisplayPort, I need these cables for almost every laptop I deploy.
