Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few negativesOverall I like the printer. The paper tray and output tray are not convenient and it is a bit of a hassle to remove them. The out put tray doesn't receive the paper very well. The paper is a little curved as it comes out; the tray doesn't allow the paper to lay flat. They bump on one another. The printer is only a couple of weeks old, and I've had to reset a time or two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I truly wish that I had NEVER purchased this printYou asked ME so I'm telling you the TRUTH! I truly wish that I had NEVER purchased this printer!!! My older Brother worked PERFECTLY for years! The ONLY reason that I upgraded was that it was a blk & wht & I needed a color printer. This printer GUZZLES INK like a 1960 Buick guzzles gas!!! What's WORSE is Brother conveniently makes the newer printers to where they will NOT work with even GOOD QUALITY generic print cartridges - FORCEING you to buy their GROSSLY OVERPRICED 'BRAND' cartridges!!! I CAN'T AFFORD to use this except for absolute 'have to' cases! FORGET the days of just enjoying the perks of owning a printer! Brother fixed that for us!!! Not only this - The older one worked smoothly with a variety of different brand computers, phones, etc... It never gave us any problems with wireless connections etc.. This one is finicky & doesn't 'play well' with others! Unfortunately, unless you run a small business from your home, the average household won't use this enough to learn all of this until it is TOO LATE to return the item! (believe me - I TRIED! I'm sure you don't care but Brother you have lost a loyal customer. Again, I truly regret making this purchase and would NOT recommend it to anyone unless they can afford a ton of money in ink and enjoy dealing with a headache almost every time they need to print something!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and BIG.This printer replaces a Lexmark, made here in Lexington. Sad to say, pc operating software updates (Win 7 to Win 10, disabled scanner, copier, etc.Anyway, this printer is quiet and really efficient. It's really big for my desk, but it's all good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WorkhorseI bought this printer from Amazon several months ago. I do a lot of color printing and I liked the price of the ink...also available from Amazon. The WiFi works great. My office is in the basement, but if I am working upstairs with my iPad or laptop I can print perfectly. My only warning is check the size! It arrived and I was surprised at the size. It is OK for me, but it is larger than expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs WellIt like up to every computer and prints efficiently. Larger than I wanted, but has features of a small business printer. I have had better lock with Brother than HP, LexMark and others. the software and printer works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we needed! This printer replaces the previous Brother we had ("If this thing dies, I will run out and buy another one the same day!" Yup - did that! It is even faster, clearer, etc than its predecessor - who died from giving us lots of use! I originally bought the first one - and now the second - because of the large scanning area; we have a lot of antique printed classical music that we copy, to save the fragile oversized originals in rehearsals and performances. And sometimes, we have to go the other way - music that has been greatly REDUCED by publishers, and thus rendered difficult to read, need to be enlarged, so the 11x17 paper tray comes in very handy! Also for maps, large format books - great printer, and great VALUE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great PrinterI purchased this printer several months ago. Fairly easy to set up the wifi. I've been using it to print from 3 devices. It prints good quality and is easy to use. Glad I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awkward paper feed setup.I am not happy with the paper (letter size being fed in landscape mode. I need to be able to feed overhead film 1 sheet at a time to create name labels that are 1-2" high and I never use all of one sheet at a time. My previous Brother 17" MFC printer allowed me to feed overhead sheets in portrait mode so that I didn't need to use a full sheet and could use up my inventory of partial sheets. But the new MFC-J6530DW won't handle partial sheets properly in the landscape mode. Since my need for this use is declining, I have chosen to stay with my new printer rather than try to find another machine that is wide carriage with available portrait feed. I expected that the newer version of my old printer would have the portrait feed. Sadly it doesn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printerI've had other brother printers in general I like brother over hps, this one holds a half of rehem of paper it's great, ink reasonable on ebay and amazon. If you search consumer reports you'll find brother on the top of the list. Its low costs makes it a perfect choice.
