Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better but still not great The ink does not last 1 year.....I do not use an enormous of copies but still it now on my second cartridges........also one aspect of a printer I truly need is 11 x 17 scanning....it does NOT do it. I have gone through 2 J6520DW printers over the past 7 years, they don't last but at least they can scann11 x 17. My last one does not print anymore, which is why I bought the new J5855DW, it does not scann 11 x17 but I keep my old one because it does scan 11 x17 so all its good for is that scanning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality print job, but problems with 11x17 sheets This printer has some very strong features, but it has drawbacks as well. First, for an inkjet printer it does a very nice job of printing. Not quite laser quality, but it close enough for my purpose, which is to send out a weekly newsletter. I bought the printer because it could print on ledger paper (11x17). And it can do that, but one problem is that on extended runs it will pull through 3 to 5 sheets of paper. In doing so it prints a portion of the page on each sheet, essentially make all of the sheets useless. It does that regardless of care taken to fan the sheets of paper to prevent it. To solve that, I feed the sheets through the bottom tray one at a time. More labor intensive than I would prefer, but it doesn't waste paper. The main complaint it that while the company has hyped the ink tank concept, it failed to have enough ink supply on hand. There is a nationwide shortage of black ink as I write this. I would guess that is because of Brother's solid reputation (I have two laser printers that work great!) and the promises made about this machine. Why would a company roll out a machine and not have a sufficient supply of ink? The promise of a year's worth of ink is likely true if you don't use it very much, but for a small business that does a considerable amount of printing, that's not the case.

There were no instructions on how the machine works and the prompts on the screen were insufficient for a non-techie. I needed to contact customer service, which was a nightmare. It seems they had every roadblock possible so as not to have to interact directly with customers. For that reason alone, I will not buy another Brothers product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persistence Pays Off! THe machine is great, but I had some difficulty at first. There is no manua, which I uploaded from on line but it did not help. After two calls to customer service that were unsuccessful, I was able to talk with a wonderful agent who worked with me for over an hour to get everything working correctly. The reason I purchased my second brother is due to the ease in getting to customer service. It did take a few calls, but all is good.

I don’t know whether it’s my MacBook Pro or the printer. After sitting dormant for several hours the computer won’t communicate with the printer. Apple says it’s the printer you guys say it’s the computer. I even had my wireless router and modem changed and upgraded. It still happens. So very frustrating. I’ve spent countless hours on this phone trying to get my problem resolved with no success. But when it’s working I absolutely love it

Unfortunately, the black cartridge is almost done and I have not been able to find a place that has the black cartridge. I would like to order it as soon as possible to avoid not having a printer, which is a big problem.

Biggest issue is that Brother reduced the price by almost 20% price 3 weeks later and refuses to price match. I should have bought the same printer from other suppliers who price match. Oh well, now I know better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design/functionality, but unreliable Love the design and functions of this printer, but I'm now waiting to receive my 3rd replacement printer (first 2 were the J5845, next 2 are the J5855) in less than 2 years. Seems like the printer is prone to issues causing it to stop powering on (printers #1 and 2) within a year or less, or to encounter a "cannot initialize" error (printer #3) in less than 2 months of receiving it. It's unfortunate they've been so unreliable as they do offer the functionality I need at a decent price.

I makes no sence that a printer that can print doubled sided can only scan single sided in the auto feeder. Yes I was aware of this deficiency when ordered but the cost of moving up to double sided scanning I felt was cost prohibitive. Setup was also painful. I spent an hour on the phone with tech support trying to resolve software/connectivity issues and the software driver for the android mobile is useless. Ended up using the basic print driver on the phone to make it work. The Scanner software provided is far to restrictive in settings, not allowing you to fully take advantage of the capabilities of the printer. Overall I am quite disappointed with the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent print quality and speed, easy set-up This is my second Brother printer, for home use. I have replaced a previous Brother that was used for 5+ years. Set up which in my experience can be tricky was very easily done with this printer. It responded quickly and correctly to my in-home WiFi and is now capable of producing documents from all connected devices; computer, phone, tablet. Color printing on plain paper works well and is nicely rendered. I have yet to try color printing on special print paper but given the performance with regular printer paper I believe it will be excellent. Regular black and white printing on regular documents is crisp with no blurring or smudging. Print speed is exceptional, even when printing double sided. This printer has been impressive and I'd highly recommend it to users in my home office profile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice printer with shortcomings I bought this printer to replace other laser printers and ink jets with small ink cartridges since the cost was becoming high. The printer works great, but it has a couple of limitations that were misrepresented by the Store where I bought the unit. The first and more important is that you cannot scan two sided documents, You need to scan one page then add the back page and so on, using the Brother iPrint&Scan utility. My workaround is to use PDF24 to scan all the front pages first then scan all the back pages, then rearrange them in the correct front-back order and save the document. The second issue is that there is not option to use the tray for 11x17 paper. The [printer description indicates "Versatile as you need - print up to 11” x 17” (Ledger) size paper. Print up to 11”x17" (Ledger) size paper from the 250-sheet capacity paper tray or use the 100-sheet multipurpose tray." As far as I can tell, there is no way to print 11x17 paper on the 250-sheet tray. I have tried using the back feeder with no luck; I need to try again and see if I can get it to work. I tried doing a hardware update but the printer would not accept the password on the back of the unit. I had a chat with tech. support and they very responsive and shortly after that I received an email with instruction on how to reset the unit; afetr that everything worked fine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works, but description of capabilities should have I’ve used for over a month and it prints and scans well. I have used both in USB and have used on wi-fi, both work. I would like it to switch between them without having to pick from the drop down or assign in the machine, but both work well. Set up was simple. The scanner does not do two sides through the auto document feeder. You need to use the flatbed and manually flip. If this was clearer in the product description I would have bought a different model. Overall it will work for me as my printing needs are not large.

Download, run that, scan this, type that... whole crap you need a full time IT tech with hours to spare to get this setup - For Each device you want to print from!!! Brother forces you to download an app to you PC, create a username and password, then enter a pile of information, then set a bunch of configurations - reboot! Then you can finally print from that specific device! On HP, you enter the wifi password (once) the printer and you are 100% ready to go from any device on that network. Plan on comitting to serious amount of time to get this printer working on each device. The quality of the printing is very good, I haven't done lots of scans or copies but they seem fine. And this will NOT work with a MAC that is a couple years old! As printers are now disposable, I'll try it for a while but my HP was 100 times easier to setup so I might be switching back at some time.

The printer comes with one supply of color and black ink that claims to "last a year." It lasted about 2 months. Ever since I have had to purchase ink, I can not find it in stock...anywhere. Even on the Brother website, where you would think they would have plenty of ink cartridges stocked for this printer, they do not. The worst of all is that there is only one type of brother ink that can be used with this printer, which is the "LC406". NO OTHER INK CARTRIDGES can be used, apparently. I wish I had known how hard ink would be to find prior to purchasing this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great business printer! After much research, I purchased a Brother printer Model MFC-J5855DW on 12/26/22 to replace an HP inkjet that had been a real workhorse. I run a DMV registration service out of my house and not only print tons of forms, but I scan all of the work processed. So far this printer has been flawless! It prints faster than the HP. The ADF has not jammed once. The scanning software is easy to work with and it scans extremely fast. It also appears I will get much longer ink use from the cartridges. I was very apprehensive buying a new printer, and I am very relieved that I made a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Output tray messing up pages Main issue so far and very important is the output tray that messes up the pages; unacceptable for a new printer and apparently a common problem mentioned by others as well. Solution to load "heavier paper" or "increase the quality" to slow down the output mechanism do not work. Very, very disappointing and frustrating for a new printer. This issue alone would make me not to buy or recommend this printer. In addition, less significant issues are: the "cancel" touch button that is not back lighted and therefore not easily visible and, the input tray that for this printer has an additional cover that makes loading papers more cumbersome -- no other printer I've used before (for decades) like HP, Cannon, Lexmark any many others have this additional cover .

Also, it sometimes does not print a whole page of printing material on just 1 page. It catches extra pages sometimes, so the printed area is spread over multiple pages.

The features for printing are easy to understand and use. I also use this device for faxing and scanning. This printer also can connect to both computers I use making the utility very useful. The drivers were easy to find and install using the Brother website. This mode also uses the smaller ink wells instead of the larger cartridges. I don’t know how long they will last but so far so good.

The setup was pretty easy, but give yourself time for software downloads and firmware upgrades. I tried two of those Epson tank printers but they always stopped scanning after two pages before "losing contact with computer". With the Brother, I scanned over 200 pages using ADF and it was flawless. The print quality is good too! And, the build quality seems good. This is beefy and solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer Jam Endless Loop MFC-J5855DW I have owned this printer for less than six months with minimal usage. I am a retired pc/network support technician. The printer started a paper jam error without running a print job. It is in an endless loop for the jam error, I have tried every possible troubleshooting technique per Brother documentation and from my experience as a support technician. Still posting printer jam. I have waited an hour on the phone, an endless wait for a chat session with no responses, now waiting 1-3 days for a response to my email. Product and support is poor. I will update my review when I get a response from Brother-USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased So far, so good. I replaced a hateful Epson printer with the Brother and I'm sorry I waited so long to do it. It prints very quickly, which was one of my requirements, seems to be pretty good with ink usage, and the color print is good and realistic. A couple of cons...If you're an older or weaker female, you'll need help getting it out of the box and pretty much lifting it, the printer also has a fairly large footprint, replacement ink is pricey but will last a long time and finally it was on the difficult side to set up. I wish printers still came with a set-up CD! The set up seemed to be a recurring issue in other reviews so I purchased two years worth of technical help from Staples when I purchased the printer. That was worth every penny! All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

When ink was running low, I could not find the Brother ink online, it was temporarily out of stock everywhere so I had to buy a generic ink. Now the printer won’t print even though the ink is full because it says it can’t detect a “Brother ink” cartridge. I would never buy this printer again!

They did compensate otherwise, so I was treated fairly in the end. However I see the price has now plummeted even further! That's something to keep in mind, the price may be lowered soon after your purchase. Be sure to find out if the supplier will price match accordingly. The printer has held up well after 4 months of heavy use. Great speed for an ink jet, effective double-sided printing. Prints a little faster if you print "black and white only" instead of colour. Overall, it's still a good printer with great features.

Paper in MP tray often gets stuck inside, have used the special "paper" to clean but it continues intermittently. I assumed a printer that does Ledger printing does Ledger scanning like my previous Brother printer. I want to return this model (only had it 3 months) and buy the MFC J6940dw. I use this printer 5 days a week or more in my business.

But, it will not do automatic duplex printing on ledger sized paper. I'm very disappointed with that. I am also supposed to have up to one year with up to 1 Year of Ink In-box. I've not received anything like that yet. !!!!!!!! Maddening!

Most of the time when printing from mobile device, get message that printer is unavailable. Have called support multiple times with no solution. One other thing that I don't understand is that it stops printing and says to refill paper tray when there is over a quarter inch of paper still in the tray. Other than that it's okay.

It also came supplies with a full year of color ink. I can print up to 30 pages a minute in either color or black & white! I use this printer for personal use to print images of flowers, people, landscapes, insects, paper dolls, and other detailed images. The color of the images is so beautiful and vivid that I use my printed papers for journals and greeting cards. Another great feature is you can use this as a wired printer or with your WiFi. It also has a touchscreen and you can auto feed it up to 50 pieces of paper. If you are looking for a printer to make art, this is the one for you. I can now print out all the art digitals that I've download from the internet and produce beautiful products for personal use and for sale. You won't be disappointed with this printer. It's the best I ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from part 2 of all the stars of the universe in the box we find the quick set up guide.it is easy and well explain. at one point we need to download the brother sofware using the lcd screen and configure the settings of the printer. we ckeck the latest firmware and change the default password. we have to choose which way we connect. wireless or usb connection. i prefer a usb connection instead of wi fi. we have to use the right cable. usb 2.0 usb A to B cable male. they are a lot of choice in amazon canada. the manual of this printer can be download in pdf format. everything is well explain. even if we can use the window setting for this printer,i find quicker to use brother i print and scan app we can download and putting the icon in the taskbar of the computer. another good app is brother utilities. on android devices we can download brother mobile connect for printing wirelessly. brother recommand to use the multi-purpose mp tray when we print photos on glossy paper. the lcd screen give access at many different settings and maintenance. i like this kind of cartridge instead of bottle of ink to refill like other brand of printer. the standard cartridge can print 3000 pages with black and 1500 pages for each of the 3 colors.they say when we printing with the borderless fonction it take little longer to print. this printer have a very large size of choice for the paper we use.it is making sense to buy directly from brother store canada for a better price and free shipping. printing on both side of the paper is a must. this model can scan but not on both side. another good feature is a usb port to connect a usb flash drive devices and print from there. i like the location of multi purpose MP tray are,on the back of the printer,not inside. this printer have a 2 years warranty. the customer service are efficient and fast respond by e mail or chat. i compare other brand of printer with this kind of large tank and brother have the best price,for more features and high quality ofprinting

Printer constantly disconnects from the network and in order to print, each device must delete the software, reinstall it and discover the printer before it will print. Very frustrating. Chat with support resulted in the machine printing and then disconnecting within 4 hours. I recommend you buy something else. It does print well when it works. I do not recommend this product.

Make sure to have a black ink replacement cartridge ready, as the starter cartridge finishes quickly with little notice. Overall, a it's a good printer with great features.

It has wonderful capabilities but the instructions were written to impress management not to help you learn how to access the powers of this device. When you finally get past those hurdles, it does quite well. Patience and perseverance have finally brought this Brother into the Family.

I've been an HP user for many years and was a little reluctandt to switch to Brother but I am now sure it was a great decision! I expect (but haven't yet owned it long enough) that printing cost will be quite low and acceptable.

The cost of the printer has already been paid for twice with the number of pages I am printing now, not to mention the print speed. Everything connected seamlessly. The app on the phone allows the option to have acanned documents right there for easy forwarding. The scanner is fantastic. I haven't even used all the features yet but am loving what I have. I have probably printed around 2000 pages and am not quite to half on my black ink usage. I set it up to auto order when the service sees my cartridges are at a certain low ink level and they will confirm before shipping. I love that I won't have to worry about running out of ink! For the money, its a fantastic product that is worth the investment if you do alot of printing.

Sometimes, even though the wireless signal indicated on the screen appears as strong, this printer just won't print without any explanation or suggestions, other than it is offline. Of course this is infuriating. This review is three stars only because I have been very happy in the past with Brother laser printers. This is a very large machine. Great for offices but make sure you have enough room for it if using in your home. Also, when the paper comes out, it often bounces out of the tray and lands on the floor. Not helpful for multiple page printing.

My HP died again so I called my brother the tec head to see what he recommended. He praised his Brother printer and talked me into trying one again, I am so glad I did. My new printer has been absolutely fantastic! IU could not be more pleased with it and if it continues to perform like this, I will be a Brother's customer form now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from J5855 good printer -ink carts could be problem MFC-J5855DW is not eligible for the Brother ink resupply program-(Brother didn't seem to have an answer about why it is excluded) - it is somewhat hard to find real Brother Ink cartridges - lots of knock offs available. Overall - I like the printer - it seems to be using ink faster than the flyers said it would so cost of ink cartridges is going to be higher than I thought. Overall I like the printer.

You need the Brother Mobile app if you want extra print options such as print to fit the page and to choose to not print to the edge on photos or with lower or higher quality. Basic printing can easily be printed directly though. Very affordable compared to the colour laser printers I’ve used in the past and with this one I can also print 11x17. I paid not much more than I would have had to pay to just get the Yellow, magenta and blue toner replacements that I needed to continue using my laser printer (which I’ve already replaced multiple times before).

The only downside is I can't seem to change the ink color lighter or darker. I'm still using the cartridges that came with the machine, so we'll see if this changes when I put the new replacement cartridge in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-in-one unit Following the numerous comments and reviews, written and of the video persuasion, I narrowed my search to this Brother all-in-one printer because it seemed to offer everything I was looking for at a cost I was willing to invest in. The new technology Inkvestment Tank system appealed to me very much. The printer is fast with good quality double side printing, a good size paper tray, a sturdy well made product that definitely does not feel cheap (a battleship if you will), a really good good scanner, a good warranty. This printer incorporates a fax which I do not see myself using anytime soon but is surely a great tool for any business. I followed the installation instructions which were quite easy to follow and got the printer working without a glitch. I initially intended to set up the printer using the ethernet connection to my desktop but figured I should try and live dangerously for a few moments and try the WiFi wireless setup instead. To my surprise and pleasure it was quite easy and I now operate the unit wireless and with a smile. The printer answers all of my concerns and more. It prints really fast and really well. Isn’t that what a printer is supposed to do? Because I set the unit up wireless my wife now prints her stuff from across the house on my printer instead of off her clunky HP. There’s only one issue that annoys me and that’s the scanning program. Very simple and easy to use but lacks a creative approach - It will not let you scan only a part/section of a document. Maybe a future software update will remedy this. This is very annoying for me but as luck would have it I was able to use my generic scanning program. As soon as I opened it the program recognized the new Brother scanner and worked great - problem solved. I moved across the country and wasn’t able to re-install the unit at my new location. I contacted customer/tech support and they walked me thru every step to get it going. Best tech-support - the guys are great. So now that I’ve given you the long story, here’s the short version: This Brother is a great all-in-one printer that has exceeded all of my expectations. If you’re undecided sitting on a fence somewhere about what to buy then let me assure you that you will not regret choosing this unit.

This is my first time owning a brother printer which I would highly recommend as i previously owned an HP and would NEVER go back to owning that again. They are terrible and somehow made sure my printer stopped working so I would have to buy a new one as they probably thought I would purchase another one! Im so glad I got a BROTHER!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good overall printer. This Brother MFC-J5855DW INKVestment replaced an HP8610 printer that I had for 7 years. When comparing replacement printers, I wanted something similar to my HP in terms of versatility, quality, speed and ink tank size. I looked at HP again but I had issues with connectivity with my prior HP unit, even when hard-wired to my desktop. This became a frustration. The Brother had good reviews and nice big ink tanks, which was important, and, they are easy to access and replace. Others that have refillable tanks suffer from inferior print quality in both text and photos, this unit does not have these issues. The only issue is that the print head requires realignment more frequently. I put this down to the fact it is really fast, which is a really nice feature. Construction is solid, and once set-up (which takes a little more time) the Brother works well.

Even though the posted printing speed listed was not that much different from other printer, I have found this printer to be much faster on scanning and printing output. I have not had this very long, but so far this may be the best printer I have ever had. When it scans for faxing or copying it seems to be twice as fast as my other printers and quality of the printed pages is excellent. The multi-pass tray has come in very handy also.

The only thing is the software is telling me that the color ink is half gone and I have only printed about 100 pages with any color in them. The manual says they should be good for 1200 pages we will see. I see on the web site that LC 406 ink is hard to come by. I hope the situation improves soon. It was very easy to set up via WiFi and the wife is happy to be able to print from her laptop.

I had other printers for years and experienced all sorts of issues and honestly thought it was par for the course. However, Brother proved me wrong. These printers are super easy to install and get going. I can print from my phone or iPad or laptop with no issues and without having to do anything beyond hitting “print”. I use all the features - print, copy, scan, and fax. Scanning is so much easier on these than it was on the printers that Have Problems. Faxes come through clear as day, and it prints and copies quickly and clearly. I honestly wish I’d switched years ago.

Unfortunately there seems to be a color issue when scanning to Adobe. But the brother scan app takes care of that. And while it’s not very robust, it does the job just fine. I am very pleased with this printer. Got it to replace my MFC 9340 DW. It would not work with my M1. But but this printer has no problems working with my Mac mini. Highly recommend!

A Pricey model but worth it and i was sure from top reviews it outperforms the competition's similar models. So far, printing as lovely as expected and very fast too. Easy to operate, but need to watch official tutorial videos. Not sure how long ink cartridges last yet but seems efficient.

I like the features of being able to copy/scan. Ink keeps going. Needing an app for the wireless printing is the only downside for me.

The printer is sturdy enough for daily use. Most impressive was setting up wireless printing using the app. Easiest set up ever! The print quality was great and was able to print out a multi page duplex color document in just seconds. Overall a great daily use printer and scanner combo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All you should ever need in a printer! Before we got this printer, we just had the standard printer that could print a document, no bells and whistles included. But this printer, by Brother, sets the bar very high for any future printers that I’d ever consider. First of all, it prints incredibly fast! And that might make some people worry that it’s speed might hinder its quality, but that’s not the case. It prints beautifully! In fact, it prints images with great detail and color saturation without the weird discoloration or green hues that can often happen with a standard printer. Not only does it print, but it scans, copies, and has faxing capabilities. It does need an internet connection, as do most printers, but it’s easy to connect your computer and mobile devices to for quick printing from the other side of the house. I’m excited to try printing on more than just printer paper, as it has the ability to print on many types of paper surfaces like card stock and specialty paper. And with a 250 page drawer capacity, I don’t have to refill the printer paper every other time I use it, which is great when I need to print large packets for school! What I’ve appreciated most of all, is that when my printing job is done, I don’t have to search the floor for where the documents have landed because there’s no flimsy tray at the end! Highly recommended for anyone needing a printer that does it all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in one is all you need I ordered this printer for home use, my previous printer didn’t have all these features. It was easy to set up wirelessly. The print quality is excellent and can hold up to 250 sheets of paper, and also has a copy feature, the best part is that the box includes printer ink cartridge that has 1 year of ink.

The setup was super easy! once you turn it in the screen tells you every step to add ink, align heads, etc… once done you click a button and can then use an onscreen qr code to download the phone app to setup wireless printing.Prints fast and the quality is superb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! The biggest problem with buying an inkjet printer in the past has been the value proposition. While the printer itself is fairly inexpensive, the ink costs fat exceed the actual value you get out of the printer. This is where the Brother "INKvestment tank" comes in. Brother advertises up to a year worth of ink in the box when you purchase one of these printers as well as up to a year of ink when you replace the cartridge. This is a game changer for the inkjet industry and when purchasing a new printer, and economics is a concern, you can now add an inkjet back in the mix of your laser printer choices and save some cash in the process! I have not had the opportunity to deplete the cartridge yet, but I have used it as my main printer for about a month in total and the ink levels are still in the 90%. I'm a heavy printer user as a real estate agent and have consumed about a ream of paper total (500 sheets).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge! I have a home office that I need a printer for on a daily basis. I've been using this printer about a month now and it's a great printer! It prints quickly and has different load trays so you can use different types of paper as needed. It fits card stock easily. I have connected my pc, my phone, my ipad and Echo Show to it all wirelessly, which has saved me a lot of time not worrying about cords and cables. It has a very intuitive screen on it and prints, copies, scans and faxes. I also love the fact it has an estimated years worth of ink in it, which makes it worry free for months! I really love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my small business! I received and set up the Brother - MFC-J5855DW Inkjet all in one printer in my office and love it. The set-up was easy and it has the capability for wireless or wired connection. It also has the Brother mobile connect app which allows me to print on the go from my devices. The touchscreen is smaller (3.5 inches but easy to read and understand. The printer actually prints quickly and fairly quietly. I also love that it came with 1 year of ink. It has alot of great features that I am learning such as cloud connect, triple security, and shortcuts you can create to name a few. Overall this is a great printer and works well for my small business needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Printer! This printer is packed with features. Truly a do it all workhorse for home or business. The ink bay is easy to access. The printer comes with a year of ink in the box! Fax machine comes in handy when connected to a magic jack or voip system. The dual paper trays handle plenty of volume. Large format 11x17 printing is awesome. The colors on the pages are pristine. Setup was very easy and make sure to take note that the password is in the back of the printer. The app for you phone works wonders with this model. Scan to phone is a GameChanger. I also loved the scan to PowerPoint. Overall I would give this 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer Not going to lie, most of my printing needs are printing off return labels but that said it was imperative for my to choose something where I could print from my phone and where I don't have to worry about ink for a bit. Definitely like that the printer came with extra ink. Love having a scanner too.

The mobile app that you can install on your phone to go with it makes it so, so easy to print and the ink reserves make this so much easier over time. IT was easy to setup, easy to use, and so functional. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away by the quality! I am super impressed with the overall quality of this Brother all in one printer. I have only used it for scanning and printing so far but it has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. This is my first time using a Brother printer (have only used old school fax machines prior. I found the setup to be super easy. I love that I have the option to use ethernet or wireless. I opted in for Wireless for convenience. Wireless setup was quick and has been working perfectly for me. I have been using it to print shipping labels and invoices for my small side business and it was be a lifesaver. It is quick and produces professional looking results. The auto feeder holds 50 sheets and works smoothly, no jams or slow downs. I am just as happy as can be. It is on the larger side, so it needs a decent surface space compared to my previous compact printer - but worth every inch of space it takes up. Brother has won me over with this! Highly recommend it to anyone from home end users to business needs!

It has met all my expectations with fast printing speeds, great quality printing, scanning speed and quality is superb. It works wired or wireless. The firmware allows faxes to be sent via the machine or directly from a PC from stored document files. I would strongly recommend this unit for a home office or even a small business. The machine is rather large, so it may require a designated location instesd of a desktop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think I’ll keep it. I’ve been using Brother printers for many years – Brother has the functionality and reliability that I want. In the past, I’ve used Brother laser printers; I had been using laser printers since the 1970s. However, looking at the marketing materials for the newer Brother printers, I found that the prices for materials (ink versus toner), the print quality, and even the speed of printing were better with the inkjet printers. So I bought the MFC-J5855DW. As I unpacked it, I found that it has even more features than the marketing had described. It’s a very impressive machine. I haven’t tried making four-foot-long banners yet, but I work with enough organizations that I’m sure I will. Then I began printing on the unit. At first, I didn’t think I was getting the quoted speed – but when I started printing bigger jobs, I realized just how fast the printer was going. And double-sided printing goes much faster than it did on my laser printer. Print quality is also superior. Printing photographs, even on plain paper, produces vastly better results than my laser printer did. I haven’t seen any streaking or gaps. I think I’ll keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just wow! Still asking myself what did I do and how did I function before this multipurpose printer. Great quality, fast and convenient prints. Set up was SUPER easy, yes even the wireless option. I’ve had for a while now and still is as great as my day 1 use. Nice quality and modern design for desk use.
