Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOT THE BEST OPTION be aware that if u buy that memory kit your laptop needs to have a bios with XMP support if it is intel or DOCP profile for amd users , else it willnot work at 3200mhz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Possible, but unlikely to get 3200 speed Purchased directly from Crucial. Wanted to upgrade new laptop (built N0V 2021) that has AMD Ryzen 5 5500U CPU with 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR4-3200 Ram which was actually running at 3200 to this (2x16 kit) 32GB Ballistix 3200 ram. Crucial suggested this Ballistix and the standard Crucial memory packages at 16GB and 32GB. Once finally delivered from backorder, this ram will only run at 2666 on this MB. There is no option to overclock the MB in the BIOS and it was already running at 3200 with the original memory, so the timings must be specific to the old memory to run at 3200 and the Ballistix has to manually set and overclocked to get up to 3200. Meh...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't always run at the advertised speed I purchased this RAM due to its 3200MHz speed. Once installed, which was easy to do with Crucials guides, I was confused when my PC said it was running at 2667 MHz. I contacted HP, who told me that to get the advertised speeds, I needed to enable a special memory profile in the BIOS, however my BIOS was locked down so it couldn't be done. Crucial specifically offer this at 3200MHz for my laptop, which isn't possible to achieve, so I feel let down somewhat by this. The solution is to buy Crucials regular memory, which would've run at the correct speeds without BIOS changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't get advertised 3200MHz speeds Doesn't work with ASUS Rog Strix G532LWS. Stock 16GB memory runs at 3200Mhz. This memory runs at only 2666Mhz. Going into BIOS, there is no way to change it. Bought this memory to upgrade to 32GB because Crucial says its compatible but it does not run at advertised speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP OMEN 15-en0013dx only writes at 2667 MHz not 3200 per ad I bought the crucial 32 gigabyte kit assuming it would allow for 3200MHz write speed as advertised. With the compatibility checker stating 100%. I feel mislead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't buy this memory. It runs at 2667Mhz, NOT 3200MHz! Don't buy this memory!! It will NOT run at 3200MHz! It will run at 2667MHz UNLESS your computer has XMP (extreme memory profile) built into it, which is rare to have. Most computers don't have XMP. I regret buying it and had to go through a long process to get a refund. I have a brand new top of the line Dell laptop. I bought this RAM because the Crucial "experts" told me that since my laptop is compatible with 3200MHz RAM that it would work without XMP. It does NOT. This is NOT true. I installed the RAM and it is only running at 2667MHz. This XMP option is mandatory if you want it to run at the advertised speeds of 3200MHz!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth upgrading unless you have XMP I thought this was advertised as a 100% compatible product, and while it does function, it turned out to be a downgrade in speed from the factory 3200mhz 8gb kit. I thought that this ram would be plug and play at the same speed as other micron ram, but it was not, and looking further it will not be possible to change timings to run faster on my computer. There should be a bit more of a disclaimer about this, so hopefully you read some reviews and check for memory settings in your BIOS before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only works with XMP-enabled Intel systems at adverised speed Requiring XMP (Intel CPUs) to run this memory at the advertised speed is a big middle finger to the AMD community.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not working on Dell XPS 9510 (I7-11th Gen) Crucial claim on their web site that this ram is compatible with Dell XPS15 9510 (i7-11th Gen) which is not. The system does not recognize this memory as compatible. I am too late to return modules to Amazon due to late delivery of my laptop. I tried to exchange modules with compatible one directly with Crucial because I think that they have falsely advertise me. They say that they do like to like exchange only. This review is more for Crucial service than the product himself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working strong so far Product is used for gaming as well as desktop applications, programming, virtual environments... Ram works good in Dell XPS 9700 but runs at 2666 instead of 2933 or 3200. Would love to see JEDEC timing for both 2933 and 3200 but maybe next time. Can't tell the difference when running desktop or gaming apps. Noticeable only in memory benchmark as far as I can tell. Perhaps flashing the mem chips with updated JEDEC timings specific for this computer would make it run full speed but seems like a lot of work for a little bit of benefit. Crucial doesn't have a flash program for JEDEC timings so you are on your own there. XPS 9700 does not suppot XMP to my knowledge but chips still function properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I mean 32 is better than 8 Installed in MSI Sword A11UD 2021 build year. Pro, the computer posted after install. Con, they only run at 1333mhz with 19-19-19-43 timings as apposed to 16-18-18-36. It does run in dual channel and Beam.ng runs smooth with shadows with chrome in the background no problem, but that is to be expected with 32gigs of ram. Intel I7 processor with default clock 2300mhz normally clocked to around 4500mhz on a MS-1582 motherboard. The scanner said it was completely compatible but I guess not. P.s. Bought via Amazon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used for about a week and a half Had this ram for about a week and a half in a Dell XPS 9700 which Crucial says is 100% compatible. Laptop will boot and run windows, passes Dell memory test, passes windows memory test, but laptop will randomly reboot when working on simple desktop applications (Edge, Office..,). Will work fine for several hours and suddenly will reboot for no apparent reason. Had to reinstall original ram sticks that came with computer as reboots are just too aggravating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from „Compatible" but does but does not work with Dell G5 SE 1505 How the hell can you list this 3200 MHz CL16 product as being compatible with Dell G5 SE 2020 (1505). 3200 MHz profile requires XMP support which this notebook does lack! Moreover 3200 MHz profile is 1.35V and Dell G5 SE motherboard seem to support 1.2V memories only! Had to return product because it run as 2666 MHz, not as advertised 3200 MHz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Misleading When you see that your laptop has 100% compatibility with this kit you expect it to work at the listed Mhz and timings. You expect the advertised speed is compatible. What you don't expect is that it's actually only compatible at 2667Mhz at lousy timings due to the laptop not having XMP - that is not what users understand from 100% compatible with a specific laptop. In short. This website and brand are bad at communicating to its customers what you are buying and thus should be avoided.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crucial engineering incompetence? As many others have noted, this won't work at 2933 MT/s on most 10th gen Intel laptops. It only runs at 2666 MT/s on my HP ZBook Power G7. How did the Crucial engineers think that missing one of the most common JEDEC timings out of the SPD table in the RAM was a sane thing to do? This does not reflect well upon their engineering and makes me reluctant to buy any future Crucial product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from only for XMP enabled System I bought this product for my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52-56VN. My purchase decision was influenced by Crucial recommendation. Since they flag it as 100% compatible with my system, I gave it a go. Unfortunately, it does not run on a specified max speed @2666 but only in 2400. This module requires an XMP enabled system, which Crucial could have advised earlier. Could be a great product for XMP enabled machine. But since mine is not, I just have to return it and buy a more compatible module that runs on JEDEC specification @2666MHZ.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not work Dell Precission 7540 or 7740 XMP profile is not supported or the DDR4 - 3200 on the Dell Precision 7540 and 7740, so memory partially worked but never run stable enough to use. Laptops will boot and run for a few min before locking up, never would pass memory test on either model in single, or dual configuration. The DDR4 - 2666 from Crucial works just fine in these models as it is JEDEC compatible at stock speed. Older Dell Precision models worked with XMP but not the i9-98800H or the i9-9880HK. Crucial may want to revise memory advisor for these models, or I got a bad set of Ballistix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does Not Work With Dell Area 51m-R1 Will Only run at 2400MHz Crucial claims this RAM is 100% compatible with Dell Area 51m-R1, but it is absolutely not true. It will only run at 2400MHz no matter what you do, rendering the need of this RAM absolutely unnecessary. Crucial needs to run actual tests and not just computer algorithms before making such claims.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not fit for XPS 7590 I got this today. I bought this as Crucial website says it does fit for XPS15 7590 for upgrade but I found it is not working. My laptop(Dell XPS 15 7590) does not respond at all after having this. I removed and installed several times but the result was same. I did not reference reviews here. That's my fault. No Crucial in my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great… IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING My stepdaughter's new laptop, an MSI Sword 15001 (A11UD-001) came stock with a measly stick of 8GB Hynix 320MHz. She was used to having 32GB so I ordered from Crucial as always. Sure enough, default timings were all wrong. After getting into advanced BIOS she was able to set memory profile to XMP1 and bingo… advertised timings were correct, Ballistix 3200MHz running at 16-18-18-36 1.35V. These low reviews are always because the installer doesn't know what they're doing. If you don't have XMP you will not get beyond 2666MHz, and if you don't know how to get into XMP settings there is a chance your laptop wont automatically configure for Micron because most manufacturers set up BIOS for cheap Samsung or Hynix DRAM. They don't recognize Micron automatically so you have to force it. If you don't know what you're doing, you won't get the best performance from the best DRAM MANUFACTURER
