Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs a Punch, Perfectly Portable.. and Affordable When the screen on my old laptop broke beyond repair, I was horrified, thinking I would never be able to afford to replace it, or that, if I could replace it, it would be with a laptop that wasn't as powerful or useful or that I didn't like as much. Boy, was I wrong! This ASUS L410MA was shockingly affordable and, while I was a little worried about how much use I would get out of such an affordable option, I was pleasantly surprised by the range of features and the amount of power and use I get out of this laptop! As a college student and adjunct instructor--as well as a graphic designer and gamer--I need a decent laptop in order to accomplish my day-to-day tasks, and this laptop has been absolutely perfect for everything I do. Its small size is perfect for taking it with me on-the-go on campus, and I LOVE the fact that the screen lays flat, as it allows me to use it as back-lighting for re-drawing or cleaning up designs. It's super easy to use and performs well--it handles my 20+ browser tab days with ease, I've had no issues with memory or processing speed. You may notice that it does have a fairly small hard drive, but this was easily remedied with the use of a microSD card that I had on-hand, and I've read that it's fairly easy to upgrade the hard drive on this model, too. Hardcore PC gamers likely already realize that this model probably isn't the best option for newer, larger games with amazing graphics, but it has so far gotten the job done when it comes to playing older games that don't require the most up-to-date to technology to run. Other good to know info you might want to know: so, I'm one of those super-clumsy people who drops everything, right? Well, that was the case right after I got this laptop--it took a pretty gnarly fall and it cracked the screen... luckily, though, I had registered my product on my Asus account and was given one year of accidental damage protection, so I'm getting it fixed and, so far, I've run into no problems at all with the warranty claim process. The laptop is great, the service, registration, and warranty has been great... owning this laptop has simply been a treat. I'm glad I chose this one over the other options available at the time, for sure, and I'd recommend it to anyone I know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice little machine I have had this about 2 weeks now. I really wanted to have a backlit keyboard, so that was a major selling point for me. Display is not so great from an angle and no touchscreen. I wish that it came with more than 4GB ram. I haven't looked into it much, but I recall reading that the ram is soldered to the mobo. Very capable little, inexpensive windows machine.

It is a new operating system, but it is slower, but it's okay because soon We know that microsoft puts updates on the computer to make it faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from standard laptop Worst thing about it is the calculator touch pad which can accidentally turn on and write numbers over what you're trying to type. It's an inconvenience that can't be diasbled. The battery life on this laptop is also bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement Laptop Very Good replacement laptop, Light weight, bright screen, good sound, quick log in. Overall good laptop. Only one thing I do not like is the touch pad. all of touch pad is touch, so if you are like me, when you go to push left or right click buttons cursor moves across the screen and you end up clicking the wrong thing. You have to hold finger on the edge to try and not do this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bang For The Buck! I got this laptop as a Christmas gift and all I can say is I'm a huge fan of ASUS Laptops and PCs now! I've done a ton of research on them and I'm looking forward to getting a gaming laptop soon as well! This was an excellent choice for a cheaper laptop it does everything you can ask for and is actually pretty fast! I don't think I'll go with any other PC company now then ASUS!
