This efficient UPS offers 2x the UPS battery life compared to Lead Acid VRLA batteries. The Lithium-ion battery lifecycle is 8 to 10 years, compared to traditional batteries with 3 to 5 years.

Lithium-ion batteries are up to 61% lighter than VRLA, making installation simple. At just 12” deep, this short-depth UPS fits conveniently into wall-mount racks and small closets.




High Quality Performance


APC Lithium-ion UPS offer better battery performance at ambient temperatures, up to 104°F/40°C. The intelligent battery management system monitors batteries at an individual cell level to manage voltage and temperatures of the set of cells. This helps the Lithium-ion batteries to provide a higher level of user performance.




Consistent and Reliable Connectivity


With 4 outlets and 2 switched outlet groups, this server and network Lithium-ion rack UPS provides uninterrupted battery power to connected electronics. With sine wave output when on battery, this rackmount UPS offers the highest degree of compatibility with PFC servers and sensitive electronic.




Monitoring Flexibility; EcoStruxureTM Ready


Monitor your Smart-UPS from anywhere at any time via two options; cloud-based secure web portal with automated, customizable alerts regarding the health of your UPS or EcoStruxure IT software and services for larger scale or highly distributed IT infrastructures. Connect to either monitoring software using the Port on the back of the device.




Alternate Monitoring and Management Options


Use the intuitive LCD interface and PowerChute software to configure settings and monitor usage. A SmartSlot in the back of the UPS offers the option to add a Network Management Card (NMC) to remotely manage the UPS over the network (NMC sold separately). Audible alarms provide notification of changing utility power and UPS conditions.




High Efficiency


This 500 watt UPS offers a green mode to ensure you are operating at the highest level of efficiency while it’s smart battery management maximizes performance. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) adjusts voltages ensuring reliable power while preserving battery life. The built-in energy meter measures energy use and displays UPS efficiency in various modes of operation for easy energy tracking.




Additional Specifications


Two switchable outlet groups are included for individual load management. Predictive battery management provides an estimated date of when battery replacement is recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst ups ever Bought multiple units of these, 1 was swapped shortly after purchase as doa, there is no easy way to configure basic things such as power sensitivity unless you use powerchute, units don't switch back to mains on power coming back on I've got no idea how this could be released as a product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Config utility could be great Documentation is sparse as we can't find the IP Address update FAQ. The config utility finds the MAC, then you can set the IP, Subnet, etc.. That works well. However you cannot change the IP in the future with this utility, nor will it find the device once it's IP is set. There is supposed to be a FAQ on how to do this, but we can't find it. We have many different models of APC products in our data center, and same issue. APC you could update that utility to find all the APC products or heck even all IP's that can be seen and let your utility change IPs of your UPS units from there. Would be a great utility if that worked.

Yet another addition to the expanding offering of APC Li-Ion UPSes, this is the smallest, at only 400W / 500VA, However, it offers nearly 13 minutes of runtime at 100W load, which is probably about average for what most users will experience. With nearly 2x the battery life compared to lead acid, the TCO is extremely attractive. The short mounting depth of 9” and small 1 rack unit height make this UPS perfect for switches fiber fiber entrance WAN applications. Switched outlet group control (6 - NEMA 5-15R) allows for application specific settings, thresholds and notifications. A standard 5 year repair or replace warranty and SmartConnect® accessibility seals the deal, at least for me. *THIS* is the future for small, rack mounted UPS models!
