Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect supplement I've always used a UPS on my desktop computer, which I use to work from home - it's perfect for a short power outage or fluctuation, as happens here in semi-rural Arkansas during stormy or windy weather. Usually if we have a power outage it's for a few minutes at most, and if it goes on for more than 10 minutes I have a manual standby generator wired into a transfer switch so I can fire that up. In the past I had my cable modem, router, and Ethernet switch all on my desk in my home office, so all were plugged into the same UPS that runs my desktop computer. When we moved a few months ago, the home office in my new house is now at one end of the house - not ideal spot for Wi-Fi for the house, so I wanted to locate the modem & router in another room, and the Ethernet switch went in the basement for convenience of wiring up a couple computers and a printer spread around the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Start of Great Things? These are wonderful to use with small, low current switches or out-of-band gear in distant IDF closets or other seldom visited remote sites, due to their *very* long lasting lithium-ion battery. I hope this portends more and more Li-ion technology in future APC products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst UPS ever On simple brownouts - my surgesupressor keeps going - this (with a full battery) blacks out. Totally useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need to buy two or more. For modem/WiFi back up, you need to keep the battery pack in place and can not take it with you if you want 24/7 120volt back up. Solution: If you buy 2 compleat units, you have double the charging capacity, can swap out the battery packs as needed and the primary modem back up can always be kept running since the UPS battery pack is "hot Swapable" . The second unit can be plugged into the WiFi/Modem back up durring extended power outages so you have twice the back up time. The pass through feature can charge double the number of devices while charging and you can take one of them with you fully charged while the second one protects you back up UPS needs. The second unit can also provide emergency lighting with 120 volt power for LED lamps durring a power outage so you can see while your modem keeps you connected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked well as a backup for Modem/Router. USB bad. Purchased Nov 2018 @ OfficeMax during clearance sale... Finally decided to unbox/use the unit in Jan 2019. (i have 3 of them) Works fine as a standalone unit for very low drain items, Cable Modem, Router, Switch etc. basically anything with a wall wart power adapter. The USB power pack, not so much. it was a nice feature to grab heading out the door when phones were low and needed to charge them. Plug in USB cable, hit power button, watch power lights, commence charging. even charge an iPad and phone at the same time. Except when it wouldnt.. Less than 60 days and 3 or 4 uses of the power pack and it just shut off and will no longer light, charge or backup. Plugged in my phone and hit the power button on the battery pack and lights lit. then went out, that was 10 days ago and it hasnt worked since. have been contacting APC/Schneider for over 9 days now via Email, Twitter etc... zero response. Service/Support really went downhill. We have multiple rackmount 1500 VA server UPS's and have had some problems a couple years back and APC was right on top of it. Attached pic is unit in use. It is on, however there should be 5 lights to show battery full.. or even just one to show its charging... It is completely dead. was fully charged the moment it failed. Phone is fine. unit is dead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A 50Watt UPS is not very useful The advertising does not properly depict how limited this UPS is at 50W. Make sure you check your required VA before purchasing.
