Tripp Lite's MT 6PLUS (TouchMaster Plus) under-monitor console surge suppressor offers convenient AC and phone line computer power protection, individually controllable outlets and multiple power switches for remote control of connected equipment. High grade protection circuits utilize Tripp Lite's Isobar protection system with a generous combination of high quality components and unique noise filtration system. Robust surge suppression circuits with sine-wave tracking offer extreme levels of protection against the heaviest surge conditions exceeding IEEE 587 category A and B specifications. Isobar's unique protection system combines large torroidal chokes, HF/VHF capacitors and multiple layers of metal oxide varistors into exclusive isolated filter banks that remove EMI/RFI interference. MT 6PLUS offers 6 outlets total, 4 individually controllable via front panel mounted switches, one completely unswitched and one controlled by the master switch. Rated 5 out of 5 by from basically a good product, but lights are too bright I use the product on the nightstand next to my bed. It is the power source for my radio, table lamp, phone charger, electric blanket, etc. At times, there is static coming from the radio, but I have been unable to isolate its source. The product lights are bright enough to act as a substitute night light even after I attempt to cover them with small pieces of cardboard. Other than that, I am pleased with the product. It is so much more convenient to push one of its buttons to turn connections ON/OFF as opposed to having to use that function on each of them individually.

However, the Tripp-Lite under monitor surge protector I replaced had a flush wall plug which I liked better than the wall plug on this one, and the status lights on the front are extremely bright and can't be dimmed which is ok during the day, but too bright at night either during use or while the computer and peripherals are all off and the room is dark. This Tripp-Lite needed these same features to make it perfect for me and I'm surprised they weren't included. Except for this, I like all the other features and would recommend.

The Tripp-Lite unit is more compact, the top panel is more rigid, and the two(2) USB charging ports on the front prove to be very convenient. It has everything you need, including more robust surge protection. The only detractor is that 6 of the 8 led indicator lamps on the front are too, too bright. Even had to shade the green "Protected" and "Master" indicator LEDs. Otherwise it appears to be a solid device that I'd select again. Now I'll have wait to see if this one outlasts me.

I was very pleased to find the Trip-Lite unit was still available. I now use three of these units protecting sensitive electronics.

Have been using for about a week now, all seem well. Like the two usb charge ports as well. The LED indicator lights are bright at night, but puts some light difusing covers on them. Thus far an excellent product.

They are not big and gloppy looking they fit so stylishly well in my home. I have one for my office and one in bedroom for my TV just goes great with my decor of furniture and doesn't look like a piece of hardware but an accent peace on top of my file cabinet under my TV and on top of my dresser next to my 42 inch TV. Have had them both for quite sometime now and I would order another if ever need be.

Would be better to have a system that users can label the buttons themselves. I use this to control my entertainment system to enable power to game systems so having my own labels would help. Also, the 4 button indicators that show you what is turned on is advertised as blue, but mine ar ea bright annoying white color

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended under-monitor surge suppressor I use the MT-6PLUS under a glass shelf on which my monitor rests where it fits nicely due to the small form factor. The combination of outlets is also great: Always on, Master and four others that are controlled by buttons on the front on the console. The added USB charger outlets are easily accessible and rapidly charge my devices (Samsung Smartphone, Samsung Tablet). My only issue (and this is minor) is the LED indicator lights on the front of the console are VERY bright and in my line of sight when viewing my monitor. The brightest are the two green Master and Protected indicator lights. I have covered them with white plastic tape in an attempt to dim them. The Monitor, Printer, Aux1, and Aux 2 indicator lights are white and somewhat distracting but tolerable. This is an otherwise well designed under-monitor surge suppressor. I recommend it highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Way to manage attached resources! I use this switch panel as a central control device for all my key equipment downstream from my large UPS. This panel is the ideal size and capacity to allow me to save power by securing unneeded devices easily. I have been using Tripp Lite power protection equipment for over 40 years, and I expect to use this one for many years to come. The only shortfall is there is no way to dim down the panel indicator lights..., they are a little too bright for my taste. Regardless, I would give my MT6 Plus a Ten-Star Rating just based on the obvious craftsmanship, quality, and utility. It meets my needs at a fair price.

I no longer have to switch on individuals PC, printer or fax. Each is hooked into their own individual ports and I can turn off individual. I am so pleased with my purchase,
