I wouldn't trust another brand with my music equipment
I had stored my Tripp Lite SU1000RTXL2UA (2-slot rack-mount) Smart Online UPS unit for about a year while I was selling my house. Finally when I got it back out and set up my music studio (ithe Tripp Lite is my baby, all my important equipment are powered through it), I just heard a clicking. I figured I needed a new battery so I bought the proper one from TippLite. It worked like a charm! The unit started right up like it was brand new and is back at work.
The amazing thing about these units is that you are ALWAYS running off the battery -- that's why there is no switchover transient because a switchover NEVER happens. So your equipment is always running off the batter which is being constantly recharded. This is why I bought the Tripp Lite brand battery -- it was the most important component in my UPS system.
